Once I saw that the American Apparel Nail Lacquer was back in stores, I had to pick up a bottle. I had tried to either Office or Mouse before the recall but had absolutely no luck. So, I was very excited when I was able to find Office right away. I admit that I wasn’t expecting a whole lot from the American Apparel nail polish. Most of the time, it seems like you end up paying more for the brand name than the quality when retail outlets produce their own shades of nail color. However, just like everything from American Apparel that I’ve purchased, I was very happy with the end results.

The first coat was sheer enough to allow you to gradually built up the color as much as you want, but not too sheer so that there was no color after one coat. It didn’t chip for several days and hasn’t peeled at all. I was able to do some spot touch ups on the chips that did occur and, unlike with many nail polishes, you can’t even tell where I touched up. So much of the time these touched up spots, or the area around them, ends up being a different shade. Not so with this polish.

I was extremely impressed with the wear and the color of American Apparel Nail Lacquer. Not only do I plan on buying more shades from their collection, but I would also recommend it to anyone looking to try a new brand. The shades are all great picks for spring. Just like the items offered by American Apparel, they are stylish without being overly trendy. So these shades are also going to be wearable thru the summer as well. At only $6 a pop, they are definitely worth checking out. You can purchase American Apparel Nail Lacquer online or in stores.

When it comes to picking their favorite high end labels, you can bet that Burberry Prorsum is going to be on the top of most peoples lists. Their timeless classics always have an updated twist that makes the items perfectly of the moment without being too trendy. The Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2010 Collection is no exception to this rule. For fall, designer Christopher Bailey added military inspirations to the classic pieces. Mixed with the classic feminine Burberry Prorsum style, it created the perfect contrast of masculine and feminine pieces. The military inspired elements aren’t too overpowering and give the perfect balance to the feminine cuts and shapes of the pieces.

While recently browsing images on WeHearIt, I came across several images of Excessive Nail Art. I’m not just talking crazy colors and patterns (which is a look I love!) but nails covered in gems, plastic flowers, and even tiny toys. With everything that was on some of these nails, we’re going to start seeing miniature versions of household items like spring plungers soon. Some were very pretty and stylish, while others were just flat out tacky.

As featured in my recent fashion inspiration post, one accessory that I’ve been loving lately are Turquoise Rings. When J commented saying that she’s loving turquoise lately too, I knew that I had to make a post. So, I took advantage of using one of my favorite past times of online window shopping to find some of the cutest turquoise rings out there.

Featured above, from top left to bottom right, are the four that I loved the most. I love the vintage look of the Alex and Ani Holly Vintage Bohemian Cocktail Ring. The Lucky Brand Big Blues Ring is the most classic and basic of turquoise rings that I found. The Urban Outfitters Multistone Cluster Ring is a great mix between the expected turquoise and cocktail ring styles. I love how organic looking the Alexis Bittar Klimt Turquoise Ring is, all while being very detailed and intricate.

Turquoise rings are an easy way to add some color and life to any look. They don’t have to be fancy and gaudy like a lot of cocktail rings out there (some are like Mesothelioma lawyers and just way too complicated). They can be simple, basic, and organic looking. My personal favorite from these four is the one from Urban Outfitters. Which is your favorite?
