This family is very special to us as we all share a common passion for Taekwondo. I mean, can you blame us for trying to direct all that energy of our kids towards something productive and disciplinary as Taekwondo?

Here are some of the images Nasim and I took during our little shoot out. Enjoy!

Danilo! Handsome little fella he is. He oozes cuteness and he is a macho little boy! I think every family needs an energy ball like him, as he keeps everyone entertained and pretty fit (considering I had to chase him down to take his pictures).

Adam – handsome, smart, very responsible and very down to earth. He doesn’t talk much, at least in my presence. But if you are around him, you just sense how delicate and how mature this little guy is.

My favorite couple- Lucy and Richard. Richard is a perfect Yang to Lucy’s perfect Yin. They are raising an incredible family and I am proud to be friends with such a great people!

As I like to believe, there is no such thing as luck and there is no such thing as something for nothing. We work for everything in our lives and  I really hope all the hard work in progress for any business will not go in vain and ALL OF YOU will rock the socks off from 2012.

Reflecting back into 2011, I see many great things, some negative but overall a spectacular whirlwind of events.But I choose to think all of them as big time achievements. Every misstep is an achievement, as a result of which you learn a valuable lesson. Some call it failing at something, but I do not believe “learning” is “failing”. Until one quits he/she hasn’t failed. They are merely tryouts at something that might potentially turn into a blossoming magnolia tree.

I am also very thankful for so many new friends I’ve made in 2011 and I am eternally thankful to God for he has allowed my heart to be open for my new friends and theirs to me. Smooches too all of you!

I usually brush up on my novels while traveling with Nasim and leave my educational books at home. Below image was taken while waiting for the sunset at the Delicate Arch in Canyonlands National Park.

While I like to support local businesses as much as possible, the alternatives for some unique ideas could be found in retail stores, too. Forgive me if in the future I end up reviewing items from one of those stores.

It all boils down to your vision and what you want your gift to portray. To make it easier for my readers I decided to go around couple of towns around Denver, CO and see what I can find. I hope it will give you plenty of ideas and if you are not from Colorado, I hope you can find an equivalent of it on the internet or in your own town.

Volume 1:

My first and accidental stop was at Bayleaf on Pearl in Boulder, Colorado. Accidental because that day I wasn’t looking for particularly anything of this sort. But I found a gem in the middle of the Pearl Street. Here there was a heaven filled with so many fantastic items from all around Europe.  First things first, I went up to the register and asked the sales person if I could take some pictures. When the permission was granted I jumped up and down like my three year old when given a lollipop. But to my surprise after 10 minutes I was asked to stop taking pictures . Maybe my happy dance was not convincing enough, who knows? So, I honored their request. Maybe after they read how fascinated I was with their store, they will let me play in there a little more.

If you have a chance to go to this store, check it out and check it out well. There is so much more to it and the decor is phenomenal. They also have a nice selection of china you can pick up, if you are planning the details of your wedding by yourself and wanting to add a unique touch to the wedding reception. I couldn’t find any web site for Bayleaf though.

Some of the gift ideas from the store:

1. Candles

Now, who wouldn’t want to lay their pretty hands on these beauties?

2. Soap

Second runner up for an ultimate gift: Soap. This store had such a big variety of soaps, I just felt like I was in a soap heaven and little angels were doing a happy soap dance.

Wrapped in cute little boxes these soaps create a unique presentation. There were so many other varieties, but sadly I couldn’t photograph them all. But rest assured that I stocked up on the soap during my next visit!

3. Wine and fine drinks

Pretty much no one will have a bad comment about your taste having a cup of a perfect sparkle in their hands. So, go on with your bad selves and make someone’s day a little brighter.

…and this is just a match box. But I would buy it just for the box. It is that cute!

Give this store a visit, at least to check it out and live a day (or 10 minutes) in France.

I always believed that everything is a result of a hard work and luck has nothing to do with one thing or the other. Ultimately, if you are doing something you love, it doesn’t seem like you are ever working too much. If that’s the case, all I ask for 2012 on behalf of all of us is plenty of health, hearts filled with inspiration  to work harder to reach our dreams.  Whatever hardships 2012 might bring, crush it with your will power and your imagination

I have so many tender feelings bursting inside my throat, wanting to be narrated. But at times I can hardly say anything when I am choked up with tears. But my dear sister, you know…you know me. I better photograph than sob like a little kid.

Although I only took handful of images that day, I will forever remember it as a day filled with joy and happiness, serenading through just those handful of images. I love both of you dearly and can’t wait to photograph my little nephew soon… And yes, I am crying, again!
