Freida tying the knot with Dev after dumping Ex-husband

Freida Pinto and Dev Patel shot to fame from the multiple Oscar winning film “The Slumdog Millionaire” and now the reel life couple is all set to tie the knot in real life… Though they have not declared marriage officially but that’s the news our little birdie brought.

Love between the duo bloomed during the making of the film and Freida started dating Dev who is much younger than her….age no bar in love baby…!!!

Dev and Frieda have ordered their wedding cake from Sweet Lady Jane bakery in Los Angeles where they had first met and our little birdie said that they will marry in pure Desi style….

Freida who had kept silent about her relationship status all through was secretly married to her publicist Rohan Antao few years back …Ssshhh …secret!!!

She dumped Rohan after the success of Slumdog because she wanted to concentrate on her career and started dating Dev…. (Don’t Worry Dev! She won’t dump you till she finds her next hit). Freida and Rohan were seen together while shooting for Slumdog… see again switching does not take much time from Freida.

IIFA Awards? More Like Lafda Awards!

Bollywood’s been facing a lot of flak on its decision to arrange the IIFA awards in Sri Lanka this year. The human right issue apart, Bollywood does not even seem to be bothered about how the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) has reacted to it. Well, this is certainly cold, even by our standards.

Though the Southern film industry makes up for only a small part in Bollywood, there are eminent people like A.R Rehman, Rajanikanth, Shankar and many others who are upset with this clear apathy of Bollywood, and with good reasons too. Perhaps, Bollywood only gets involved with politics when there is some mileage to be made. Layers after layers of agendas perhaps. Who benefits from relocating the IIFA? Well not many.

The SIFCC has gone as far as to declare that those who perform at the IIFA will be boycotted by the Southern film industry. Ouch! That’s gotta hurt. So most likely, we will not find the has beens of Bollywood get a chance to dazzle the Southern audiences anymore. At least not for the next couple of years, till the resentment on this issue continues to brew. Among those to be boycotted names like Lara Dutta, Riteish Deshmukh, Salman Khan and Hritik Roshan are the most prominent. Funnily enough, Vivek Oberai, who is in the midst of Tamil production, is all set for the IIFA awards. Way to nosedive a career that already never took off.

Well, we just hope that things are good once again between the two factions because in the end, it is we who will suffer the most.

Manyata has tamed Sanjay Well

Sanjay Dutt better known as Sanju Baba, the spoilt bad brat of Bollywood is now well under his wife’s pallu after marriage. Earning repute more for his repeated jail visits and drug scandals than his acting is seen posting messages on twitter fearing the rage of his wife, Manyata….well done Manyata..!!!!

“Woke up with a fuming call from my wife, for driving at high speed. Just realised that I miscalculated 50/60 mph into some wrong kmph. I know that she knows that I am very bad with calculations. Hope she cools down before I reach home.”, was the tweet on Sanju Baba’s Twitter account.

Sanjay Dutt has further stated in the same social networking site that his car is imported and shows speed in mph whereas in India it is shown in kmph and he made a mistake in calculation….. was it the calculation that made Sanjay drive so fast or is it related to something he is in famous for that made Manyata furious..???

Our sources say that to retain her control over hubby, Manyata has pursued her hubby to break ties with some very good friends…..seems she wants to retain her husband’s loyalty without any destructions…Women should get inspired by Manyata…

Hrithik’s Kites’ String Got Tangled?

Well there’s little wonder that 2010’s most talked about and anticipated movie, Kites has seriously crashed and burned at the box office. Even before it could first soar into the clear skies of the Indian summers, it seems that the string was abruptly snagged and this ‘Kite’ has certainly landed in oblivion.

Indian audiences are known to be unforgiving to movies that are even the slightest out of the comfort zone. Tweaking the plot and making the promos look like a cross between ‘Love Sex aur Dhoka‘ and ‘Prince‘, didn’t make it work. Neither did the bare backs of the handsome hunk Hrithik and the beautiful siren Barbara. When the Indian audience has decided that it doesn’t like the movie… it simply doesn’t like the movie.

Let’s face it. If you remember the older days of Hrithik in some of the must-forget movies like ‘Main Prem ki Diwani Hoon‘ and ‘Aap Mujhe Acche Lagne Lage‘, you would also know that he doesn’t act. He has nothing to offer besides that deliciously chiseled body of his. After a while, even the weird dance moves start to seem repetitive. This year he did try to put in something new though – an alleged affair with co-star Barbara Mori. Well to be very frank, these Bollywood tactics have become so ghisa pita, that no one even gives a passing thought to such news anymore.

When it comes down to it, there are only two possible ways to sell Indian movies anymore. Either your surname should be Khan or it should be Chopra.

Tweeze a bit more, Imran!!!

Karan Johar’s managed to do what even Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan had failed to achieve – Yes he’s convinced Imran Khan to tweeze his overgrown eyebrows for Dharma productions’ forthcoming movie ‘I Hate Love Stories’.

So Imran Khan’s trademark eyebrows, which used to be bushier than a squirrel’s tail, have now been trimmed to more manageable proportions. Must say Imran’s looking more gentlemanly now as compared to his previous uncouth look.

Psst…. Wonder whether it was Karan Johar’s diktat or Imran’s recent super flops “Luck” and “Kidnap” that have prompted him to do away with the hairy beauties!!!

Boxer Vijender’s Love is Bipasha

After hitting it right in the Olympics, Vijender is going to make his debut in the film industry as a boxer – the character he plays in his real life…..perhaps this is one way Indian audience will remember his contribution seeing the condition of sports in India !!!

Though the producers have some other thing to say as they want to use the film to promote boxing, which has the potential of becoming the second-most popular sport in India….great observation it must be said…!!!

Vijender, who is very handsome by Bollywood standards and with literally no acting skill by the same standards will be featured against the hot and sizzling Bipasha after undergoing a crash course on acting for three months starting from October. The film starts shooting in 2011.

The film is produced by Percept Ltd and is looking for fresh director from the ad world after they found that the director of the only knock-out film Lagaan, Aamir Khan and Ashutosh Gowariker were not available. The perfectionist Aamir Khan would probably not venture with a player turned actor…..

Hope that the good connectivity of Vijender and the good looks, which the producers are counting on, will make the film a hit if not the script. Wish u luck Vijender …

The Inseparable Shahid and Priyanka

Ever since the break up of Shahid-Kareena jodi, Shahid had been linked with every actress in tinsel town he had performed with. Rumors have it that he has dated tennis player Sania Mirza, Vidya Balan and Priyanka Chopra.

Publicity stunt or whatever the love between Shahid and Piggy Chops has bloomed in the sets of Kaminey and they are seeing each other since then. Their love faded soon the film faded and they are on their own paths.

But, recently our little birdie brought the news that Shahid, who planned to buy a bigger flat cancelled it because Priyanka was staying in the same building. Great neighborly love…..or is it something we are missing on…let’s wait and hear it from them only.

Sherlyn Chopra sheds for Twitter before going international

If Rakhi Sawant can why can’t Sherlyn Chopra. No Rakhi have not gone nude over a social networking site as Sherlyn but definitely used the stint of “Bad Publicity is Publicity” and so Sherlyn is following which she has also tried earlier.

These so called hot babes of Bollywood who have little in them when it comes to acting (see the act of Sherlyn in Dil Bole Hadippa) can go to any extent when it comes to getting the limelight. This time Sherlyn has overdone it by posting nude pictures on her Twitter account.

She said that she has been approached by American magazine Playboy to pose for them and she wants to share her photos (nude) with friends and followers and get reviews of how she looked. The photos she said has been shot by her best friend. Thanks that she has stopped sharing and put down the photos now.

“The feedback on my picture has been great. Some do find it distasteful. To them I would like to say – to each it’s own”, said Sherlyn. Sherlyn, if it is your own then why don’t you keep it to yourself…????

Bebo falls for Matt Damon

All the minds of sports lovers are waiting for the biggest sports event in the world, FIFA World Cup 2010 taking place in South Africa from June 11. The official music video of the event will feature our very own Kareena Kapoor, Bebo with Hollywood stud Matt Damon. Isn’t it quite a reason to be even more interested in the sport….!!!! We should be thankful to Bebo that she is representing India in FIFA as the Indian team reaching there is a dream…

Bebo with her very international look is all set to shoot for the video (thanks that she has come out of her size zero or otherwise it would have been difficult to spot her in the video…!!!!). Kareena has worked hard on her dates (which is probably the nakhras that actors do) and finally found out time to shoot after she completes shooting for Karan Johar’s version of “Stepmom”.

Other Hollywood personalities participating are Kevin Spacey and Jessica Alba. Salim Sulaiman will also present compositions on the opening and closing events. Seems that Bollywood is really going international!!!!

The ‘war queen’ Aishwarya now battles with Deepika

Bollywood babes are always fighting it out to come into the limelight when international events are concerned. Aishwarya, whom the glam world is about to forget and better suited as the Bacchan Bahu is struggling every time she confronts her younger counterparts.

After loosing it to Katrina and Sonam Kapoor, where she was replaced by both these beauties in some leading brands, she now looses it to the 5ft 11inch hot Deepika Padukone at the Cannes where the Boolywood battles have gone international in the true sense. Never mind if not for the right reasons…!!!

Aishwarya feels threatened with the recent interest of Woody Allen, a well recognized director, in Deepika Padukone after she sported the complete desi look with a white sari complementing her figure designed by Rohit Bahl at the Cannes where Ash went for the western look with a gown.

Earlier, the two had a fight about the best dressed and now grabbing attention at the Cannes. As an advice to Ash she should now retire and try to become a good bahu and follow the family tradition…
