Hi My Friends,

today was a hard day, so I decided to take a short walk in Leytonstone. This is the name of the district where we live currently. We’ll move next week…Gggrrrr…Guess what happened. The landlord gave us a notice to move out in a week. He’d sold the house!!! But com’ on we’re still living here, I can’t believe this. Ok, it’s London, anything can happen….blahhhh…

So… I like this rose so much. Today we had a wonderful weather, it hasn’t rained for 3 days now!!! It’s not a miracle but we’re in London. Tomorrow we might have some though. When I caught sight of this beauty walking along the park, I couldn’t resist and took a pic immediately. She looked as if asking me ‘how much do you love me?’ Isn’t it amazing? The petals are so soft and delicate, I would hold them up, touch my face and smoothe my skin with them. (Not that I’m that old and wrinkled…lol) This beauty reminds me not to forget about the precious things that happen to appear in our life. I do believe there are much more like this out there!

Hope you all have a wonderful evening!

Lolo

~ Friedrich Nietzsche

I’m now listening to one of my favourite songs, Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. First I heard it in the Shrek movie, then I watched the X-Factor finalist, Alexandra Burke. She was absolutely gorgeous with her wonderful voice! I’ve just read an article about this song, it was then placed No. 1. in the UK Christmas singles chart. Hhmm… Christmas… I think I’m looking forward to it… a bit. Not because of the weather, it’s REALLY REALLY nice now, sunny, warm, the sky is almost clear. Love this song!

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Best,

Hi my Dears,

please forgive me but I’m in a very sentimental mood tonight. So today’s blog post will rather be a girlie one. Yet I’m sure the one this is dedicated to will read it too. Everything started when I found this old photo of a friend. A very good one. Well, some of you might have seen this pic on my Facebook profile, when I first edited it. As time is going on and on I’m trying to improve my skills, striving for professionalism both in shooting and editing. Lol this sounds such a blahhblaahh. I’ll finish it right now. This time I played around in PS again ‘cos I didn’t like the result I ended up a year ago. It’s like when you start cooking something, and you never finish it properly, leave it in the oven hoping someone might take it. Even if you find the dish is empty, there’s something in your head jumping up and down that makes you think you’ve done something wrong but you can’t recall what it is. Got it? You know what I mean? So I opened up this photo in PS again, and promised my friend that I’ll finish this work the way he really wants to see his car. Except having photoshopped a nice girl seated next to him, I think I did a great job. I remember when we jumped into the car and drove miles, and the car looked quite dirty when we arrived. I spent hours with removing dust from the hood and the bumper. I realized that it’s not that difficult to do in PS as long as you have time and energy to finish it properly. I also corrected some other mistakes I’d made before, like incorrect exposure and blur on the wheel. I might have removed the magnet from the hood, but that represents his hard work in organizing this great car tour, too. So I left it that way. Do ya think I’m improving a bit…? I hope ‘cos I do try.

Have you seen the movie ‘Ghosts of Girlfriends Past’? Quite old one, I guess from last year, I watched it yesterday. It’s a movie I would never watch again next week. I prefer rather ‘Alfie’. The reason why I watched it is because the hero is a hotshot photographer. Not that I completely agree on how these two arrogant, soulless alpha-males are trying to conquer women’s heart. It’s just I’ve been wondering how these movies have made me think over some blissful memories of my precious life. I’ve learnt that we can’t change our memories, but we can change their meaning, and the power they have over us. There’s no point in trying to block out the memories of the past, even though some are painful. Everything you live through helps to make you the person you are now.

I now feel blessed beyond measure. You know what is good in a friendship? Back at home whenever I wanted to get out of my crazy world, I just grabbed my friend and my cam, and ran away far from the city. The best kind of friend is the one I can sit down with at the coast of the river, never saying a word, and walk away feeling like that was the best conversation I’ve ever had. He is the one who comes in when the whole world has gone out. I can scream the total craziness out of myself. I can even make a complete fool of myself next to him. When it hurts to look back, and I’m scared to look ahead, I can look beside myself and my friend will be there. {I promise I’ll finish this in a minute…lol} You know what…? A moment lasts all of a second, but the memory lives on forever. Because the heart that truly loves never forgets. Many people will walk in and out of my life, but only THE FRIEND will leave footprints in my heart. And he is the one!

{I’d better go sleeping now… Good night!}

Hey Y’all,

“A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.”

~ Phyllis Diller

wooow, this is my first fully manual shot!! Manual exposure + manual focus!!! Ok-ok I know this isn’t a big deal for the most of you, but for me it’s a great improvement. LOL The bad thing is that it was not taken with my lovely Nikon cam but with a Pentax I-don’t-even-remember-what-kind-of-cam. K20D, I got it from a friend to try a new prime lens. Thanks Taz! The result looks good, right? I’ve never thought that taking macro shots is such a great fun. I’ve already ordered some new rings from E-Bay that I can put onto my cam and with this 58 mm lens I’ll be able to do such miracles. Can’t wait the time to receive them. I have so many ideas to shoot. This is my third week in London… the weather is sometimes very depressing, I’ll need to find out something to overcome this horrible feeling. Just ‘cos I so much like hanging outside and capture the wonders of nature. It keeps me alive every day, brightens my day, especially when I think things are going along smoothly and then all of a sudden life throws me a curve ball.

There must be something going wrong with the engine of my blog. I need to figure out why the photos in my media library are multiply uploaded. I remember having uploaded them only once, or twice if they are in my portfolio, too. That part looks like a crash rather disaster too… hmm {Sigh…sigh} I have no time to update it properly. Need to ckeck it with my lil bro. He’s a super hero in solving such crazy bugs.

Regarding bad weather, one more thought has just come to my mind. God we have palm trees here in the gardens, the weather can’t be that bad!! So I do believe it’ll be much better and I’ll get used to it very soon, otherwise I’ll move to Spain…hahhaa. (Photo was taken in Stevenage, 50 mins ride from London to the North…not that it would be really important lol just for me for future reference…or should I tag it…yeah maybe, now done.)

I hope your Wednesday is going great!

Hugs,

Lolo

Hey All,

I’m back – but this time in London, quite far away from home. {Sigh…} I’m planning to look at this as a life long journey. Considering the above quote I’m not sure if I’m full of positive or negative feelings but rather full of energy that gives me power to go on. ‘Cos – some of you might know – it’s really really HARD to start a new life in a completely different country, leaving everything behind – family, friends (!!) and your whole life – and bundling all your stuff in a bag, and LEAVE… GO AWAY… FAR AWAY. I have only ONE WISH: Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead. Just walk beside me and stay my friend on this journey! We’ll meet at the end!

(I’ll be on and off nowadays…I think I’ll need some time to get used to my new life in London…)

Thinking of you ALWAYS!

Warm hugs,

Hello my Friends,

I had a fantastic holiday on the island of Vir in South Croatia. The weather was extremely hot but the cold sea cooled us. I wish I could have spent more days there. I so much loved the peace of this beautiful, small island. The sea was SOOO blue. I will come back a bit later with a few more shots. Have a lovely day!

Best,

Lolo
