TfL are looking to expand their bus fleet with more environmentally friendly buses that are quieter and utilise less fuel than the diesel based existing buses. Transport for London have told the London Assembly they are looking at possible ways to replace the Oyster card ticketing system.The Oyster card is a smartcard which is topped up with credit through self-service machines or at ticket desks.
