This photograph is of me taken when cross-country skiing over 20 years ago. It was taken somewhere between Perisher Valley and Charlotte Pass &#8211; I think

<p>I&#8217;m still learning how to drive my new scanner so this gives me the opportunity to publish images from some (dusty) old negatives!

There haven&#8217;t been as many Dipodium sp. (a species of myco-heterotrophic orchids) around this year as compared to previous years.  Given that we&#8217;ve all but reached the end of January, I was surprised to find this healthy specimen not too far from the house.

This one is, most likely, D. punctatum, the Hyacinth Orchid.
