Consumer electronics firms Samsung and Panasonic began selling their new 3D television models this week in the U.S., while Sony plans to enter the market in June.

While 3D televisions are becoming more widely available, 3D content to view on them is still sparse.

DirecTV plans to launch a 3D channel by June, while ESPN has said some event broadcasts will be offered in 3D.

Cisco starts laying 'foundation for next-generation Internet'

As Google works to speed up our access to the Internet, Cisco is fighting a different war: improving the foundation of the Internet itself. In a statement on Tuesday, the networking-centric company announced its new CRS-3 Carrier Routing System (which is where the CRS comes from), which Cisco claims can handle "12 times the traffic capacity of the nearest competing system," and triples the power of the 92 Tbps CRS-1, its predecessor.

So just how fast is the CRS-3? According to Cisco, it can handle 322 Terabits per second, "which enables the entire printed collection of the Library of Congress to be downloaded in just over one second; every man, woman and child in China to make a video call, simultaneously; and every motion picture ever created to be streamed in less than four minutes."

That's a lot of horsepower, and it's the kind of muscle we need, according to Cisco, to lay the foundation for next-generation Internet, with an eye mostly on the increasing demands of streaming media and the like.

The third pair of the partnership between Nike and Brazilian graffiti artist, Nunca, is on the Nike Dunk High AC. The Dunk High AC was originally introduced to us in September of 2009 in two colorways at select Nike Tier Zero accounts worldwide. Now the shoe that many Dunk fans have been waiting for makes a return as a part of the Spring/Summer 2010 Nike Sportswear Six Artist Collaboration Collection. Nunca and Nike Sportswear worked on this Brazil inspired pair by giving it a Black, White, and Pine green colorway much like the Air Max BW Gen II and Lunar Chukka Woven models that are also a part of the collaboration collection.

Adidas Originals Fortitude Mid Dark Sand

The folks over at Project gave us a peek at three new colorways for the adidas Originals Fortitude Mid a few weeks ago. Those colorways, however, were a bit on the bright side. The new Fortitude we get a look at today has a more toned down, natural colorway.

Seen here in a suede and nubuck upper, the Fortitude Mid sports a brown and tan upper. The role of accent is played by both a light blue that occupies the tongue, laces, and a patch on the heel, and by an orange that shows up on the liner, collar and midfoot. Playing with the natural textures of the materials, addidas used perforated leather strips for the 3-Stripe. Look for these to hit shelves in the near future.
