Well that my friends is Blake Nordstrom the President of Nordstrom, Inc. YUP! That's him! and I had the pleasure of speaking with him on a phone call Here's how it went down Doing my project and I need more info that just isn't out there Decide to go into my Store Directory on MyNordstrom.com and search for emails I wind up on the Nordstrom brothers email and think "Heck why not! Let's email the president and see what happens" I thought at best I'd get a representative responding or something. NOPE 2 hours later I get an email back, as if we're already friends, telling me he'd love to help but he's on his way to LAX and will be back in the office tomorrow, oh and here's my personal line!! So ask him what time is best and plan to call at 10 10:01 (because I don't want to be pretentious) the phone is ringing He answers "Hello there" as if a. he knows it's me and b. we're friends (I wish!) We talked for about 30 minutes and it was amazing I am truly in awe. he is so sweet down to earth friendly, caring, rich but amazing he congratulated me on graduation and wished me luck on my paper ooommggg im in awe

It was THE best. Clearly he really knows how to give the best customer service all around and I truly believe that the Nordstrom brothers being in charge is exactly why they're successful. I learned a lot and even some about other companies. BLESSED!!!!

Hello doll faces. It's me, Katie, yup! Remember me? Soooooo if you noticed I posted asking you guys for advice on video sharing apps. I got 1 comment (heeeyyy Kelly!!!!) I then posted and titled about one getting 1 comment. funny haha ? Anyways soooo that was that, didn't think anything about it. Until this happened today.

Haters gonna hate, but I'm callin you out. It's HILARIOUS to me that a RUDE ass comment begins with "No offense but..." That's like HEY BTW I'M ABOUT TO SAY SOMETHING REALLY BITCHY That's like saying "She's ugly as sin and white trash, bless her heart" It DOESN'T fix the fact you just acted like an ass. Ok. Real tip. I UNDERSTAND that I haven't posted in awhile anything "of interest" or "substance" to be exact But let's be honest. Unless blogging is my career like other bloggers [and power to them, I wish I could turn this into that] BUT IT'S NOT. It is/was a way for me to vent about things, stay on a path and make it work Well BIG NEWS FLASH hun I have a LIFE. Full of other things that unfortunately take precedent over my blog. I LOVE my blog and truly LOVE everyone who has been a true reader, followed my journey and been amazing. I have seriously met amazing people that I can call my friends thanks to blogging. Luckily they understand, that when things come up [like working a lot, going to school full time to finish my bachelors degree, running my own company, having a serious relationship and maintaining friendships] THIS is on the back burner. I am sorry if this displeases you but it's the truth and it's life. I wasn't aware that asking for opinions on a video sharing app was like asking bloggers who follow you for their first born child????? Isn't it bloggers help bloggers? Because really all it seems like lately is bloggers bitching, and bloggers bullying bloggers and bullshit bullshit bullshit. I found it funny... Anyways. I truly apologize for any of you followers who feel let down by me In all honesty if you're let down by a blogger not blogging, I suggest going outside and exploring life. Hiiiiiii!!!!!!!

I know you're saying to yourself,

"Who is this person? She looks familiar but I don't know for certain."

Well yes yes it's true, I've been gone for a while.

Well here's the deal.

I have been busy with a bunch of other things and honestly the first thing to lag will be this blog.

It's unfortunate but true.

Here's what I've been doing:

1. Working @ Nordstrom

2. Working 24/7 on Metal Marvels

3. Spending time with C & Cortney & fam.

4. School (trying to make it through this last full semester)

5. Sleeping. yup when I'm not doing everything else & I typically have to drag myself to bed.

So I am sooooooooo sorry that I haven't been here.

I've lost a couple followers which I truly expect.

Here's what I'd like to happen:

1. I'd like to figure out the best way to film a makeup tutorial video

2. Fashion post

3. Baseball post (of course because the season starts Monday)

4. some other fun stuff :)

Anywhooooooooo.
I am going to the Dodger vs. Angels spring training game Friday @ Dodger Stadium
I am BEYOND excited to see the new improvements
And if you didn't know, C & I got Season Tickets!!!
We have tickets to $63 games. We may not make them all
BUT we get perks!
MVP card which gets us in early and on field to play catch and all sorts of cool stuff.
YUP!
Then opening day is Monday. Oh goodness am I excited.
C and I will be at the Stadium Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday for the opening series against the Giants.

Soooo I saw this and thought maybe ya'll should get to know me better

Here's a little run down!!

A. Age: 26.... I will be 27 in June and I can't believe it. I still feel like I'm 21 a lot of the times.

B. Bed size: Queen. A Nice HUGE pillow top comfy sink in and love it bed haha.

C. Chore you hate: all of them? is that an acceptable answer? I'd rather never do any of them, ever. But I will when I have to haha.
I have to be in a cleaning mood though, and when I am I can power through them all

D. Dogs: love love love loooooooooove! I am total dog lover and want to have a few some day. Cort & her hubby just rescued one from the shelter this weekend and he is soooooo cute! I've also taken a liking to cats, although I've hated them forever haha.

E. Essential start to your day: to pee lol. Just being honest. I typically wake up and walk to the bathroom with my eyes closed (may run into a wall or two). Then check every alert on my phone and for orders. It's an addiction.

F. Favorite color: Purple. I looove it. Don't actually own a lot of it but I love it, mostly because it looks good with my eyes.

G. Gold or Silver: I used to have a huge hate for gold jewelry and I thought it was sooooo tacky. But seriously now I love it haha. I have a gold MK watch, and some other pieces.

H. Height: I am 5 ft 5 inches tall! Woooo watch out, giant over here!

I. Instruments you play: Welllllll in middle school I played the clarinet and for a week I played a trumpet. The trumpet sucks! btw :) lol

J. Job Title: I have a few lol. Student, Cosmetic Artist/Retail Sales, aaaaand CEO of my lovely little jewelry store Metal Marvels.... www.MetalMarvelsStore.com (come see me!)

K. Kids: I definitely want them. FOR SURE. At least 2. A boy first would be ideal and then a girl. I want him to be a protector haha. But if I am blessed with only 1, then that it is.

L. Live: your life laughing! Do what you want and enjoy it. It's too short not to.

M. Married: eventually. I would LOVE to be married. I'm not really the type who dreamed of a huge white wedding. I am even ok with getting married at the courthouse. It's not about the wedding itself, more so that you're marrying that person.

N. Nicknames: Kate, Katie-bug, Bug and Kiki (to my niece Xoe)

O. Overnight hospital stays: nope. knock on wood!! I've never had to go and stay that long. We took Carissa's roommate once at like 3 in the morning but that was it.

P. Pet peeve: people who can't drive and do other things while driving without having to slow down 15 mph and or brake constantly. Figure your shit out. Multitask! lol I mean NO drive safetly!

R. Righty or Lefty: I'm a righty!!!

S. Siblings: yea.... 3 half siblings. I'm not the fondest of them because they're not the greatest people and have made shitty life choices. I am my fathers only child (they're from my moms first marriage), thank goodness!

T. Time you wake up: it totally depends on what I have to do that day. If I have to work, typically a couple hours prior. If I have school, maybe like 45 mins ahead, sooo like 9:30-10 so i can get up get my stuff, eat and head to school. If I have NOTHING to do I don't set an alarm.

U. University attended: Graduated with an AA in Interior Design from FIDM and now getting my Bachelors in Business Management at Cal State Fullerton.

V. Vegetables you dislike: umm asparagus, tomatoes, squash, mushrooms, pickles, ummm I think that's it?

W. What makes you run late: I lag. Literally just lag. No particular reason, maybe it's a procrastination thing, or lazy who knows haha.

X. X-rays you've had: ummm like 2 in my life maybe? When I sprained something or another in dance.

Y. Yummy food: a LOT of things. Clearly. I loooove chicken sandwiches, certain hamburgers, lots of restaurants, sushi, I mean I could go on and on.... oops.

Z. Zoo animal favorite: umm probably a Tiger or Leopard? Do they have those at zoos? I dunno they're so majestic. Otherwise I dig turtles, land or sea. I just LOVE turtles!!!!
