So, while outside of LiW June has been a pretty intense month within LiW ranks things have been quiet. We’ve sent our guitarist/producer Max McPherson to Scotland for some refreshing highland air. Then we sent him his computer and he’s under orders not to travel south of Edinburgh until he’s mixed a complete album.

Some may see this as strict. We call it firm but fair and incentivising. Plus it’s giving the rest of us time to take working breaks to Newquay and Egypt. One unfortunate consequence is that gigs are thin on the ground but rest assured we will be back in action when he comes home.

We’ve had a few eager beavers purchase the ‘currently unfinished album’ so a big thank you to those people. They have already received a copy of our current tracks and will be the first to receive the album when it’s finished.

It’s now the [...]]]> So I know that once again I’ve left it far too long between updates but such is life. While Lost in Wonderland is a huge part of all of our lives we are also working musicians and spend a lot of time on other projects and making that ever essential ingredient; Money! It’s now the summer in the rainy UK and it’s wedding season, so the function bands have been keeping us very busy.

Since our last update we played an absolutely cracking gig in Southampton at a venue called The Hobbit! If you’ve not been there it’s a massive pub with a little room that hosts live music. Despite not getting a sound check we managed to get a pretty decent sound and rocked the place out. We’re planning to go back and headline our own gig at the venue so keep an eye on the website for details of our next gig.

Our next goal is a live stream from ‘The Bat Cave’ – This will be an acoustic gig from Alexi. He’ll sing, he’ll play and hopefully he’ll speak too. I’ll definitely get another blog up before that happens.

The big news of the week is… We’ve been interviewed! Outside of LiW the new version of Spotify went out today. The new iPhone/Android sync kicks ass and despite the new restrictions it’s still the best service around. If you haven’t already I strongly recommend you check it out.

We liked it, but not enough to leave it as it was so we’ve been back in rehearsals and we’ve tweaked and polished it so we think it’s ready for prime time again. We’ll be ripping it out again at our next shows, details below! Let us know what you think.

December Shows

9th December – Nambucca, London
14th December – Backline Live!, Guildford – Headline Act!

Along with the polished ‘Cure’ we’ll be bringing another two new tracks for the December gigs. There still works in progress but when we get pretty close I’ll get some rough live demo versions up here.

The final important bit of news this weeks is that we will soon be getting a full website, the current holding page while functional doesn’t really cut it and isn’t fulfilling out needs. Expect to see it go live in the next couple of weeks!
