OceanicTornado: No, it really hasn't. It was supposed to start 2 weeks ago Thursday, but a hurricane passed Hawaii and pushed the filming ahead for a week.

Lost takes a LONG time to film, usually a week an episode, so, I'd say we'd be lucky to have episode 1 in the bag.

Like a few posters ago said, they probably aren't doing it linearly because of their luxury of time.

They're probably filming all the common flashforwards together at some point. And stuff like that.

It's very cost-effective and effecient.

Yeah, I think that if you play the entire series as a whole, two Jack episodes in a row might be a little odd, but tradition is tradition, and with Lost that kind of thing, stuff like that and the first scene being an eye opening,and of a new character and then playing music, and stuff of that nature seems very important that they pull that off, and a Jack episode to launch out of the gate is important too.

Don't forget! Filming has been going on for a while, they would already be filming episode 2 or 3!! But I would LOVE to see an ensemble episode again, like you guys said...

Fine to have people on NPB, I'm just disappointed there will be another couple of new characters. Ben and Desmond we knew from the previous seasons, and I love them. Juliet, well I'm not gonna go there, I don't like her nor do I understand her popularity.

But STALE main characters? I mentioned Sayid and Claire before - maybe these characters have become "stale" because they never have TIME to evolve.......

How interesting! If it's Sawyer that means he'll have a more central role in the season(s) to follow... yay to that for some! It could be a flashback to the Tampa Job (or however you spell it). I have a feeling they'll start the season with a good old flashback to remind us that we won't only get ffs from now on... though I hope they'll do something more shocking than that!

I have a theory though, that one of the characters will have a flash forward in which they die - NOT Sawyer though! I hope I'm wrong all together, but it would be an interesting twist on a death - fx BOOM Hurley dies, but hey it's in the future so he'll still be on the show... what a bummer, but a shocking one at that!

Unexpected. If it is Sawyer.

If it is flashforward and the whole said about the first chased car crashing down - does he die in the future, in this car accident?

That would be one of the bad things that will happen to people off the island.

I think that would explain a lot.

If it is a flashback - does it show any connection between Sawyer and people who are coming? (The Tampa job would fit, I think).

Prediction: Not Sawyer centric, if yes - FF - deathly.

Well all you guys are assuming that they are shooting season 4 in a complete linear format... as in they film the 1st episode then the 2nd and so on and so forth. But I very much doubt this, as they have about 5 or so months before the first episode airs, it would be completley illogical to film it all in a linear format. What I think youll find is that they will be fliming several scenes that could be scattered ove some of the several episodes in which they have written so far.

While I agree that with airing pushed back there is more leeway in shooting and editing episodes (to a point), it's pretty unlikely that actual scripts later than the first two or three have been drafted or finalised. It's just not how the business works in terms of scheduling. From what I understand.

Who had the centric episodes every other premiere? It was Jack wasn't it? Even though we were introduced to Desmond and Juliet, they weren't the focus of those eps. I highly doubt we're suddenly going to get a premiere episode that's centred on the boat people or Walt whom we haven't seen for such a long that some viewers might not even remember who he was. It would be too jarring.

Ben, maybe. But it would still be strange to devote an episode to the guy who essentially has just been defeated by Jack and is likely to trussed up and held under guard for much of the near future.

I'm presuming we will be cutting back and forth between the two camps. Things need to move forward with momentum. Sawyer is a major player at the beach camp at the moment.

I don't really mind if Sawyer doesn't get the premiere as long as he gets a long overdue centric soon. Any Lostie would be fine with me (except Jack whom I'm tired of seeing centrics for). I would find it quite strange though, to put the entire focus on a complete newcomer so soon?

Jacobe just said he saw josh holloway so he assumed it was his episode, it could just be another charcter connection, meening he's there in another persons episode, like when he met jacks dad.

OR... and this is going to be really far fetched, but...

it could be on the island!!!! They've found another station with a huge underground are in wich u can race cars and do stunts an stuff, so when the losties found it, the others chased them!!!

Looks like the first episodee of the season will be Aarons flashback. Was about time! He has been on the show for a long time, actually since the first episode, so it is about time he will get a flasbackepisode!

Seeing as how they will be completely done shooting something like the first 9 episodes before the first one even airs, it is possible that this could be any one of those.

as much as a sawyer episode (more specifically a ff.... i think his backstory is pretty much over.... and didn't they say that they were basically done with fb's with all the main characters from the first season?) is in order, i honestly don't want one for the premire.

either a ben episode, or a fb about these 'not penny's boat' people, or a walt episode.... would be much more fitting for the premire.

i dunno.... i just don't really see the season opening with a sawyer episode. (not to say that this information is false or anything, but maybe they have just decided to film in a 'movie-style' format, shooting things--that they can-- out of order, so as to confuse people like ourselves who enjoy spoilers, so that we don't know who's got what episode, who lives/dies... when they die, things of that nature)

and if this rumor about matthew not being there to shoot for at least the next week is true, then i would assume that they would have to be doing some out-of-order shooting anyways. i mean, they can't pick up filming from the same spot at the radio tower if one of the actors isn't available to shoot....

Umm...the weirdness factor on the season finale was because Jack was **not** drunk and druggy before the crash...something changed him markedly for the worse...

Anyways...I absolutely ADORE the "Oz" Love that's going on here on "LOST"....my favorite character on that show is Kareem Said as portrayed by Eamonn Walker, who, if they cast another "Oz" man, I would choose =-).

Well, I am just thrilled to here of some action packed scenes involving Sawyer being filmed early on. The character is long overdue a centric episode be it the first or second of the season.

So many possibilities too, it could be a FB or a FF. My personal fave would be that it's a FF where Sawyer is in trouble with the law because they think he's harbouring or knows the whereabouts of Kate Austen.

I would love to see Sawyer and Sayid team up as the faction on the beach who doesn't trust the newcomers one bit. This would especially make sense if Desmond reaches them first with the news that it's not Penny's boat.

I think it would be GREAT to have an ensemble flash-back or flash-forward, a la the Pilot or Exodus. Although, my bet was going to be on Henry Gale. There's a story there to tell.

I guess I'm the only one NOT looking forward to a Sawyer premiere episode. Yea, it would be silly to have another Jack one, and I don't care how much people hate Jack, he's interesting, they didn't include him in the show for no reason, everything we do for the most part is essentially seen through him, they're not going to sideline him.

I was hoping for a Walt/Michael premiere episode.
