<media:description>Located at the exit of the “monster sound show” / “sounds dangerous,” Soundsations was an amazing audio adventure that showed us what Spatial Audio could be.

I take you through the history and then play the audio as it appeared in the sound booth.

I highly recommend wearing over the ear headphones to get the effect. It should give you the effect.

<media:description>I am taking a look back at the Mickey Mouse Musical Revue, from its inception as a show featuring Disney's animated characters, to the first attraction designed for Walt Disney World - and the first to close as it was moved to Tokyo DisneyLand.

I delve into what came in the space after, and the return of some animatronics to Disney World.

<media:description>Welcome to a look back the "Walt Disney Story" which was intended to help us remember the man for whom the park is named. It was a mostly autobiographical view of his life, coupled with a pre-show that held memorabilia, and a post-show that taught a little about audi animatronics, and shared future plans for the park.

<media:description>Welcome to my rather thorough look back at the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Attraction. I wanted to share what was beautiful and special about it, so I travel back (under the sea) to explore the history of the original book, the movie, what was built at Disneyland, and then the ride at Disney World. I finish by talking about why it closed, what became of the subs, and what came after in that space.

There is a lot of information to digest. Some comes from my own first hand knowledge, some from sites related to Jules Verne, and some disney history sites. It is an amalgamation of research. But there was one site - https://20kride.com/ - to which I want to give credit, and my thanks, for a portion of what you hear.

I'd also like to note that many of the photos used for context, especially after the ride closed, came from the same site.

<media:description>1988 was Mickey Mouse’s 60th birthday. The Disney company wanted to celebrate this milestone and to put something new into the magic kingdom.

And thus, they created Mickey’s Birthdayland. After the celebration, they revised it slightly to be Mickey’s Starland, which remained open for a few years. Then, it gave way to Mickey’s Toontown Fair, which remained open until 2011, when Fantasyland expanded into that space.

<media:description>This is a look back at "the OG" attraction(s) which were located in Tomorrowland, across from the Monsters Inc, Laugh Floor.

The story begins (as it often does) in Disneyland with an attraction called "Rocket to the Moon" which later became "Flight to the Moon."

I call it the "OG" because that Disneyland predecessor was one of the first attractions to open in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland, and it was nearly an opening day attraction at Disney World.

The attraction was later rethemed  as "Mission to Mars" in both parks, and then later it became "The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter" in Walt Disney world only. It was different, and unlike anything Disney had ever done.

For the last 15 years of its existence, it was known as "Stitch's Great Escape."

Join me as I go through all of it.

Yes, this video is long.  Originally, I had planned to span a few episodes, but keeping it as one story made more sense and keeps the flow going.  So please enjoy!

I have some audio clips, which are intended as “fair use” so you can get a sense of what the attraction was like. <media:description>This is a bit of a different episode for me. Rather than being about an attraction or a specific event in the history of Walt Disney world, this episode is about the connection of Jim Henson to the Walt Disney company, and what we got in MuppetVision 3D.

For what it’s worth, spanning nearly 30 years, that MuppetVision 3D was pretty remarkable, and totally enjoyable.

I take a look at how Disney acquired the Muppets, and what they were able to do with them in the 20 or so years that they’ve had them.

Unfortunately, and sadly, the future is totally unknown for our furry friends. Disney closed muppetvision and has no immediate plans for Kermit, miss piggy, fozzie, and the rest.

<media:description>This is the third part of a series that pays tribute to the five men who provided narration on the monorail. I move on to talk about the changes that took place in the early 2000s, when Joe Hursh took over.

All videos appearing here were made by me.
