No Kitchen Sink

I have been playing game applications at Facebook for quite some time now. I have played many restaurant and hotel management games but none of them have kitchen sinks involved. All are tables, stoves, counters, decorations and others but no kitchen sink. But Restaurant City has bathroom sinks for washing the customer’s hands but still no kitchen sinks. Now, it makes me wonder how they clean their plates. LOL!!

Oh well, I guess the curious cat in me is just being curious on non-sense things. LMAO!

Toys in General

When my mom arrived from Cagayan de Oro last month, she brought with her three Ferrari car toys. One for Micah, one for David and the other one is for Bella. Micah and David had fun with the toys the entire night. They played with it harshly that some of the Ferrari parts looked like it going to be broken. So I told them that they should take care of their toys if they want to them to last long because it’s not every day we get to have toys or even buy them.

Anyway, it’s not only with their new Ferrari toys but all of them in general. Toys nowadays are expensive. If you but the cheaper ones, your health is endangered because of the lead content. So just to be safe, buy toys that are safe but just take care of them so it would last long for the kids to be able to enjoy well.

Playing Home Inn at Facebook

I have been playing Home Inn at Facebook. I really enjoyed this game because it’s unique not like others that I have played. This is the only game application at Facebook that involves managing a hotel. The picture below is a snap shot of my inn. If you notice, I have three rooms. These are the only expansion I could afford since I am only level six and some improvements are expensive. If you take a look, I only have the lobby and the upper room with tile flooring. First and second rooms have plain floors.

They made a recent adjustment to the game. Aside from the Halloween designs, they updated the way guests stay at your inn and the way you shop. I admit…I like some of the improvements but they way we solicit guests is not nice. It makes earning harder.

Anyway, do you play Home Inn too? Do you like the new upgrades?

On Copper Sinks

A few hours ago while I was blog hopping, I was able to read a post about copper sinks. It said that copper sinks have become popular in the kitchen nowadays because of the fact that it involves easy cleaning – no need of a high maintenance just to keep it clean – because of its anti bacterial characteristics. Aside from that, copper is easily molded that is why it can create fantastic looking sinks.

Anyway, if I were to choose, I would love to have a copper sink at my kitchen. But since we are renting, I have no control over our sink.

Wanting Debt Free Life

While I was busy looking for mortgage life insurance rates, I stumbled upon many blogs that discusses about money and personal finance. I am so inspired especially about those people who have been successful financially because of the right decisions they have made. Before, they were wrapped with insurmountable debt but now they are the ones lending out money and have investments.

As for me, I really wished to pay off all my debts. I want to enjoy a debt free life so that I would be able to provide the best for my family including their wants.

One Month After Ondoy

It’s been a month since typhoon Ondoy devastated many families and properties in few areas in Manila. Until now, relief operations are still going on. I believe it will take more than a month for families and properties to be rehabilitated into a functional state. Though going back to normal is impossible, at least they can go back to their homes and face life normally again is what every victim wanted.

As for public areas, most streets have been cleaned already. Some cars have been towed and returned to owners. Some vehicles were difficult to retrieve but at least they were not faced with rv towing since it needs a specialize tow truck to handle that.

Anyway, I am just waiting for the rehabilitation pace to happen. Many non-profit organizations have accumulated certain amount from donations. They say they will use this to build homes for those who lost theirs. So, I am waiting to see families to have new homes.

Bill Gates and His 11 Rules of Life

To anyone with kids of any age, here’s some advice. Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world. Love him or hate him, he sure hit the nail on the head with this!

Rule 1: Life is not fair – get used to it!

Rule 2: The world won’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won’t be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping – they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent’s generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they’ll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.

Personalized Photo Holiday Cards

Since financial resources are low this time of year, I am planning to convince my husband that we should make ourselves a personalized photo holiday cards to be given to friends and family. Even though we are low in finances, it doesn’t mean that we could not show thoughtfulness this Christmas. So, if we take a latest family photo of us and make it into several personalized photo holiday cards, we can bring sunshiny smile to our friends and family even how little. I still believe that the thoughtfulness of one person always counts, don’t you agree?

My Restaurants

I have two restaurants. Well, not real ones but virtual restaurants. I have one at Restaurant City and the other one is at Café World. Yup, these are Facebook game applications that I am so addicted right now aside from the virtual farms too.

Anyway, I am so into these games. I love the fact that I could have a restaurant business even if it’s virtual only. At least I get to think and act likes a manager-owner when I do my thing with my two restaurants. If these restaurants were for real, I am sure I need some appetite suppressants because I cook plenty of delicious dishes and refreshing drinks!
