The four letter word is the most widely used and I might also say abused in the world today. It flows so effortlessly through the lips of men and women. It is thrown so carelessly even where it is not necessary. Sometimes it makes me think there is no definite definition of this word. It depends on the context in which the word has been used. The definition of love is at a persons discretion. But what is love? It is subject to debate because there are many types of love. It depends with the perspective from which you are looking at it. Maybe you are a Christian and what has been drummed into you is agape love from the gospels. What about the love that you feel or have towards a sibling? I hope you are also not forgetting the so called love that is said to bring a man and a woman together.

When a man sees a woman for the first time, and he is attracted to that woman it is said it is love at first sight. But the better phrase to use would be it was lust at first sight. This is the most correct assessment especially of such a scenario. The male species in a human being is still an animal and is always looking for potential females to mate with. It is sex that attracts a man to woman but not love. what is love? Love means something different to man. To him having sex with a woman is paramount and it does not mean that he loves that woman. This is the reason why a man is genetically polygamous. There is nothing like love, it is the power of the loin that is attractive. How else does a man manage to have several wives and lovers hanging at the fringes?

Love is an illusion, it is a creation of the mind. What makes us believe there is love is simply because we do not want to change the status quo. It is a tradition passed from generation to generation and who are we to break these tradition? We were brought up believing in the concept of love. We grew up in a society where the word love was being thrown right, left and center with so much abandon. It is entrenched in our minds that yes, there is love. But have you ever sat down and pondered about is? Have you ever asked yourself what is love? And do you believe in it? Do not start biting your finger nails or scratching your head over the issue, it might go bald it it is not already bald.

The so called love that is so much hyped up is only a temporarily infatuation. People keep on falling in and out of "love". People fall out because infatuation is a temporary feeling and once it is worn out everything is over between the two of you. It must be understood that no love was involved. There is a very big misconception of the true meaning of love. Love is used as an escape goat so that people can indulge in their fantasies. What is love? Love is kindness stretched over a long period of time. It is the best way to put it.

I love this girl very much. Right now she is my wife. I still love her as much. I want to share my love with her, show my
love to her. I sometimes do things just to show her that I love her. These are some things that I do.

1. Watch a DVD together

This is the what I love doing. On our weekends, I'll rent a nice DVD, knowing that she will love watching. I'll prepare
some chips and red wine. Cuddling up the sofa, watching a nice movie, with chips and sipping red wine. What a romantic
night to spend with your love one.

2. Saying "I love you"

Married for three years, still today, I say "I love you" to my wife. This three words are the most powerful words on to show
your love. Say it not just for the sake of saying, but say it with all the feelings of love. Look into her eyes, say it
to her soul. I'll always get a hug for that.

3. Strolling after dinner

I'll bring her to the park after dinner. Strolling while holding her hand. We'll always share our dreams and life while
strolling. Catching up with each other's life due to the busy week we both had.

4. Write a book for her

I wrote a book about us and gave it to her on one of her birthday. The book says about how we met each other till we decided
to be an item. At times we'll still take out the book to read to rekindle that love that we have for each other

5. Email poems to her

I usually use email for my work. Once a while I'll send love poems to her via email. This surprised her, because she knows
my habit of using emails for work only. This simple act just make her beautify her day.

6. Handmade cards

I love to make cards. I make cards to my wife in any occasions. I want her to have the only special kind where no others
have. Only those that I made are special and unique. It doesn't need to be beautifully done up. All my cards are simple
yet unique. Some cards don't even have any drawings or designs, just a coconut tree sketch by me. Although it's simple
but it shows a lot about the love I have for her.

The title of this article is a little shocking, Isn't it? Because no one can think of love and destruction together. But love does destroy. How? Let us examine.

There is a story of a prince in India. He was in great love with his wife and never wanted to be without her. One day, an enemy king attacked him, but the prince did not want to go out and fight. He did not want to be away from his princess. The princess realized this and she asked the prince to go out for a minute. After sometime, a maid brought the head of princess to the prince with the dying message of the princess. 'Let our love not destroy you. You are a prince and you must save your state from the enemies. I am giving up my life so that you can carry out your duties properly.' Does this small story tell us anything? What lessons can we draw from this?

Many of us are extremely talented. Our talent can create a big difference to the world. We can help the world fight poverty, injustice and produce a better life for all. But some of us fall in frenzied love. This love is all encompassing. This love takes over our life. We see nothing but our sweetheart everywhere. For us, all the other work becomes insignificant. We lose our focus and are centered on our love like a mad person. This eats away the vitals of our personality.

To me what it means to love the self is "growth", Personal Self Growth. It is those big questions "WHY" we all ask as children growing up. (So Just Do Not Stop Asking Why.)

I love to learn about love and self, and life, and freedom, and health, and abundance and happiness, and pure positive healing light unconditional love sores energy.

"I have found that to love the self is to learn what serves me most."

To know what serves us most we have to not only ask, but we have to come-to know what's true for us around questions like,

"What's the meaning of life?"

"Who am I?"

"Where did I come from?"

"Why am I here?"

"Do I have a purpose and what is it?"

"What is love?

And if not love then what else is there that I want to experience in life?"

And so on...

All these types of questions above will guide and lead us to higher vibration, lighter being’s of love, when asked in honest desire to know.

I know that for me to grow; it is only up to me and no one can do it for me.

Growth is self-response-ability.

I alone am the only one that can find what self love means to me.

What does it mean to love the self?

If I were asked, "what does it mean to love the self?"

I would say that the answer comes in stages as consciousness evolves.
Even if we were to know the complete answer the first time the question was asked, once we know the answer, we do not need to ask the question.

We would have to ask, where is love for the self?

Love for the self is within the self, it is the self.

We would have to ask, where is the self to love?

The self to love is deep down at the core of oneself, within the awakened consciousness that is beyond the ego. The self comes from a place of non-attachment and freedom from separateness.

We would have to ask, what is the self that is loved?

The self that is loved is love and life force. The self is the reflection of all the beauty of life and is not attached to the idea of being the self.

We would have to ask, what is the love of the self?

Love of the self is joy, is bliss, is health, is beauty, is greatness, is wise, is the way to God, is God, is You.

We would have to ask, why is there a self to love? There is a self to love because this is the way we want it. The self to love exists because that is all there is, there is nothing else, and the reason is to love the self.

We would have to ask, why love the self?

To love the self is to live life to the fullest, because it feels so good; loving the self feels the best. To love the self is the only way to happiness and health—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

We would have to ask, how do we love the self?

We love the self by being kind to the self, by learning what the self is, and becoming passionate—even fanatical—about the self, what it wants and needs, by spending time alone going over all the beautiful parts of our self. We love the self only by taking responsibility for our self and having self-respect.

The self loves by choice, by free will, by the desire to feel good and to avoid pain. The self loves by its own actions. The self loves itself with compassion.

We would have to ask, when do we love the self?

I think a better question is, "is now a good time to love the self?” “When” is a funny thing; there is only now.

The self loves when we are present in the moment, and experiencing love by feeling good.

To love the self means to honor and respect the self, to make it a lifelong practice to love the self, to always see and enjoy the beauty within the self, to go deep into the self to know and remember one’s hidden depths, to accept oneself. Well, if you have just started dating a guy for a short while, do not press him to say I love you. I cannot tell you when the perfect time is.

But what you want to hear is in a sincere and natural way. What you want is love, and not just sounds. You want to feel love, which he may not say it out. A guy may express his love through actions instead, which is often the case.

4. Acts of Service - Cooking dinner, washing the car, running an errand, cleaning the house, helping with a task, time spent in contribution to another.

5. Physical Touch - Affection. Massage. Making love. Of course, everyone has their favorite way to be touched. And, touch equals love to many.

Knowing these 5 Love Languages allows you to GIVE and RECEIVE love from others more fully. All relationships are based on love, respect and devotion, no matter what type of relationship it is. It is not easy to maintain good relationship forever but we need to keep it bounded by respect, if love is not possible. I observed that a person is our society don't respect those to whom they don't have my relation or their relation with them get worse.

I believe that respect is the stronger bound in keep strengthen the relationship than love because to love in mostly not in your own hand however to respect in up to you. Behind all this there are many factors, which weaken our relationships, irresponsibility, uncooperative behavior, selfishness and lack of quality time for your relatives and dominant behavior from one side. During my past life, I have seen a lot of occasions when impossible turns into possible and vice versa because of change in behavior.

I mostly emphasize on relationships because it is the main source of mental happiness and calmness. Sometimes a sentence of respect, a smile of love, and a hand shake with your partner or opposition changes your world into heaven from the hell. Imagine how little things produce a great change and I believe that such small acts of reconciliation makes a person great.

What is Love, actually?

Is it the slight pain in the chest when you see someone you love after a long separation? Is it the feeling of a sudden weakness in the knee when you see your sister's best friend? Or is it the feeling in your toes when you had that first Kiss?

Whatever it is, it is a very good feeling. When you are in love, everything around you looks good. Every passerby looks beautiful, and the neighbor's dog doesn't irritate you anymore. And everyone seem to be smiling at you, but that one is simple. You are already smiling like an idiot, they are only smiling back at you. But then, love can make you act like a fool, and the good thing is it feels good too.

When you are in love you go all the way out to help a stranger and feel even better. Have you never paid the toll fee for the car behind you? I often do, and more so when I am in love. Love can also make you do a lot of good things and you thank God for giving all the happiness. Perhaps that is why they say that Love is God.

I have often been in love and each time was a great feeling. Oh I do get on with my life, and carry sweet memories, but I have learned to move on. You always find love again, and I found it the easy and sweet way. After my first break off, I learned that her sexy friend had a crush on me and I fell out of love into love and we had a great time together.

Love is a very sweet thing and we must never do anything to make it sour. It is the best thing that could ever happen to us and we must always cherish if even if a relationship didn't work out. Always have an amicable break up so that when you look back remember the first time you walked hand in hand in the rains, you should smile, and it won't be nice if that memory is interrupted by a nasty break-up fight. Love is a strong positive emotion of regard and affection. It’s an emotional predominance, a supreme value. In ordinary use, Love can portray a feeling of intense attraction towards a person. The passion can be for anything under the sun.It is not always for a person that the bud of emotion sows in a heart. It can be for one’s family, friends, career, hobbies and also places. Though Love is not a theme to define, yet can be expressed as a pious feeling, which is usually metaphysical or idealistic in nature. It is believed by some peoples that love is an imaginary abstraction but despite it is often applied on lives by commoners.

Love has got some hypothetical classifications which are put forth by human himself. There can be courtly love, erotic love, familial love, free love, platonic love, puppy love, religious love, romantic love, unrequited love and lastly true love.

Love is known to have varied aspects of its own. Admiration, crush, dating, desire to breed, lust, respect, marriage, broken heart and care are some of the predictable attributes that love comprises of. Love is essentially intangible, easier to experience than to explain. Many believe, as stated originally by Virgil that “love conquers all” or by Beatles, “all you need is love”.Love is a liability which requires commitment. It is all about sacrifices and faithfulness. Love is not always about happiness. It is a pain in its own and it's only love which is the best drug for it.

Loving humanity, compassion, joy and freedom are the four aspects of true love. Love is serene, honest, righteous, conviction, esteem, support and truth. It does not have any room for envy, pride and injustice. Love excuses all. Love happens when a wish is evolved from an attraction which leads to submission and then urges one to take the action of commitment. A deep attachment is felt for the person we love; we are emotionally beguiled by our love and thus seek for devotion and regard. Love brings people together, as opposed to hate which separates humans. Love is refined and if allowed to flow naturally will silken the trail chosen after birth. Love itself is so lubricating that it smoothes the abrasion we come across in life. It is a never ending bond which holds the world together. Love makes a life healthier and fuller. Despite all the differences, impurities in other’s minds and varied barriers you love your loved ones. Love emerges as a key aspect of all sentience and of all form. Love entails a profound trust and partnership with a healthy adoration entrenched in it. Superiority and possession do not have a room in love.

Flushed cheeks, a palpitating heart and clammy hands are some of the outward signs of being in love. But inside the body there are definite chemical signs that cupid has fired his arrow. Looking For True Love

True love. Most of us search high and low for true love in that one ideal relationship. We struggle over it and with it, yearn for it, craft books, music, and poems about it-all without a clear understanding of what we seek or why we want it so desperately.

We're not even sure what love is. How do we define it? The definition of love is as unique and as varied as every individual who experiences it. That's a big part of the problem. Love feels different for each person. So how do we tell if the one we love actually returns the favor? After all, our loved one may offer us love that does not quite feel like what we know as love.

To clear up at least some of the confusion, let us establish a basic definition for true love. The truest, purest love is unconditional. Such love is also the simplest form of love because it has no hooks, no standards, no expectations, no conditions attached to it whatsoever. No complications, no hidden clauses or agendas, no restraints or exceptions.

Unconditional love is true love, and unconditional love is healing and uplifting-the ultimate source of all life. True/unconditional love sustains and nurtures life, joy, peace, and freedom. That is why we look so hard for true love. Deep in our souls, we long to be free, loved, and secure.

The very simplicity of unconditional/true love is also the source of its power. Lacking all limitations, unconditional love is limitless and endless. Unconditional love is simply another way of saying God, the infinite, the divine, the source, known by many names. Every major religion, in fact, asserts that God is love.

Unconditional love-God in other words-is so simple that most of us find it very suspicious if not downright impossible to understand or accept. We're certain there has to be a catch somewhere, just as we're convinced that some people, somehow and in some way, have done something so horrible or unforgivable that they no longer merit God's or anyone else's love.

Do we damn child abusers? What about terrorists who cause death on a mass scale? Do we condemn corporate polluters? Illegal drug users? Homosexuals? Christian fundamentalists? Those of differing faiths or races?

Our personal litany of the unlovable/unforgivable says far more about the limitations of our love than about anyone else. It also shows us that the love we give and receive is constricted and diminished by judgments, standards, or expectations. Once we impose even one tiny judgment, standard, or expectation on love, it devolves away from being true/unconditional.

Trapped in the painful web of conditional love, we devote our time and energy to looking for love in all the wrong places. We keep hoping to find true love somewhere "out there," outside of ourselves, in someone else's eyes. But that is not the place to find true love.
