Goode: Nicole Kidman is a real pro

Matthew Goode has admitted snogging Nicole Kidman for his new film was a nerve-wracking experience. The British actor got up close with the Rabbit Hole star on the set of new thriller Stoker, in which he plays Uncle Charlie, the brother-in-law to Nicole's grieving widow.

"We have a couple of interesting scenes together, a bit of kissing going on. But she's lovely, because you never know quite what to expect with someone who's been a huge star for that long. She was really, really generous," Matthew revealed.

He said of locking lips with the A-lister: "It's a bit nerve-wracking. We were just doing a recce one day and we went to this house and Nicole's such a pro, she started going into the scene and I was like, 'Oh my God'."Matthew's niece in the film is played by The Kids Are All Right's Mia Wasikowska, who the actor describes as "a super-talent".

The actor - who's also the new Jameson Cult Film Club Ambassador - added: "This film sort of opens with a funeral. It was my brother and the husband and father to Nicole and Mia. He's been away for 20 odd years and he's quite charming seemingly, and then various incidences start happening which are sort of bizarre and unexplained and then we find out there's this possible predisposition in the family bloodline to do naughty things, let's put it like that. "It was a huge surprise to get involved and a really great experience."

Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman isn't gracing the silver screen quite so often these days, choosing instead to focus on her family. "It takes a lot now for me to want to act," Nicole told reporters this week at Australia's Tropfest Film Festival. "I have a one-year-old and a three-year-old. It takes a lot to drag me out of home."

Along with Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, her daughters with her husband Keith Urban, the lovely star is also mom to kids Isabella and Connor from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise. Nicole may be taking a step back from movie-making, but she does have a couple of projects in post-production at the moment, including the thriller Paperboy, co-starring Zac Efron, Matthew McConaughey and John Cusack.

Nicole Kidman, who appeared at the 20th Tropfest last night, has recently opened up about the challenge of juggling her working career and motherhood.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Oscar-winning star recently said: "It takes a lot now for me to want to act."

"I have a one-year-old and a three-year-old. It takes a lot to drag me out of home."Nicole was recently snapped returning to Australian shores with her hubby, Keith Urban. While Nicole has been talking work and family, Ada Nicodemou recently announced she is pregnant.

Speaking to New Idea, the star of Home and Away said she and her husband, Chrys Xipolitas, are expecting a child through IVF. "We are very blessed," she said. "A baby is something we always wanted from the beginning."

"In the end IVF was seriously the best thing we did.""It doesn't usually happen on the first go and we didn't want to get our hopes up too much, but we were very lucky.""I'm really looking forward to it - I just wish we didn't have to wait another 27 weeks."

The whole Kidman-Urban family stepped out in Sydney yesterday. Nicole carried 1-year-old Faith while Keith held onto Sunday's hand. The foursome recently traveled Down Under, where Keith will appear on the Australian version of The Voice.

He'll mentor a group of singers along with other coaches Seal, Joel Madden, and Delta Goodrem in the series, which will air sometime this year. Keith's been the one singing lately, since he hit the stage at the Grand Ole Opry for his first post-throat surgery show earlier this month and had two concerts in Texas over the weekend. He's not the only star to recently recover from the vocal cord procedure since Adele made her own return performance at last night's Grammys.

Making for quite the adorable family, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were spotted arriving in Sydney, Australia. The "Paperboy" actress toted little Faith Margaret in her arms as her hubby held Sunday Rose's hand while exiting the Sydney International Airport terminal on the Valentine's Day holiday.

As for the reason behind the trip, Keith happened to have work lined up in the Land Down Under while participating in a show that's described as Australia’s version of "The Voice". The country rocker nabbed the role as one of the program's coaches helping to lead hopeful artists towards their goal of success in the music industry.

Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell have been named the "Worst Romantic Comedy Couple" in a new online poll. The "Bewitched" stars grabbed 17 percent of the vote in the St. Valentine's Day-themed survey carried out by Fandango.

"Junior" co-stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Emma Thompson came in second with 16 percent, and Fran Drescher and Timothy Dalton were third with 13 percent for "The Beautician and the Beast."Movie fans voted the unlikely coupling of Kate Winslet and Jack Black fourth for "The Holiday," while "Maid in Manhattan's" Jennifer Lopez and Ralph Fiennes and "Just Go With It's" Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler tied for fifth.

In related Fandango polls, filmgoers picked Sarah Jessica Parker as the "Worst Romantic Comedy Actress" (27 percent) and Ashton Kutcher as "Worst Romantic Comedy Actor" (also 27 percent).

The 44-year-old Aussie actress, who will hit the big screen next opposite Zac Efron in The Paperboy, kept it cute in a pair of skinny jeans and a pair of low-top Converse sneakers as she stepped out with her 13-month-old daughter.

Picking up her precious little one from a day at preschool, Nicole Kidman was spotted with Sunday Rose in Los Angeles, CA. The “Moulin Rouge” mama was all smiles as she carried her daughter’s pink backpack out to the car, with the two ladies hopping into their seats and speeding away.

During a recent interview for the Television Association Winter Session, Kidman explained that she prefers to keep her personal life out of the spotlight. The respectable actress told, “Part of the reason of being an actor is you like playing other people’s lives and exploring all the psychologies in that and the emotions. I think having my life be as private and quiet as possible is a way in which then I can go and play characters. I like the privacy of my life and I protect it quite vigilantly.”

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban know there's nothing like spending some quality time with their kids. According to X17online.com, the actress and her country-singing husband were spotted out with their daughters, Sunday Rose, 3, and Faith Margaret, 13 months, on Sunday. The happy family was heading into an indoor play-place in Hollywood for some fun together.

In December, the low-key couple was photographed taking their kids on another family outing to the Children's Museum of Manhattan. While Kidman's daughters may be spending lots of time with mom these days, her oldest daughter -- with ex-husband Tom Cruise -- Isabella, 19, is certainly growing up fast. She stepped out with a new boyfriend, Eddie Frencher, 23, at her brother Connor's 17th birthday bash last month.

She might be an A-list actress and he might be a country music superstar, but Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are just normal parents. The Australian couple took their two little girls out for a play date Hollywood's indoor playground Romp today. The 44-year-old Moulin Rouge star looked comfortable, casual and miles away from her glamorous red carpet self as she doted on her daughters.

She wore a utilitarian ankle-length grey skirt, a boxy grey sweater and flats. Her hair was not blown out into a perfect man, but scraped back in a messy ponytail. Her only accessories were a rust-coloured scarf and a pair of sunglasses. Musician Urban, also 44, was similarly low-key in a simple jeans and red T-shirt ensemble. Their little girls, however, looked absolutely precious. Three-year-old Sunday Rose wore a darling lavender striped dress, grey tights and Ugg boots.

Her sister, Faith Margaret, is just thirteen months old. The newest addition to the Kidman-Urban family was born via surrogate in Nashville in December of 2010. Both little ones held tight to their mother as they set out on their Hollywood adventure.

When she's not busy with mothering duties, the beautiful redhead has been shooting the drama The Paperboy. The film is based on Pete Dexter's novel of the same name and is being directed by Precious' Lee Daniels. Zac Efron and Matthew McConaughey co-star.
