My darling friend Rebecca gifted me with this fabulous knit last night. She knows me too well and got me a medium because I like my stuff over sized. I wanted to wear it right away this morning. I thought my Sandro drop crotch pants would be perfect for them. Its super warm in LA at the moment and this knit is the perfect pull over for chilly mornings. I am definitely going home to change into shorts though. I have to take advantage of this amazing weather.

Playing around with my all beige Isabel Marant Willow sneakers. Yes, if you are counting this makes the third pair. Its an obsession and addiction. This is the last pair. I had this pre-ordered from Matches fashion in London. I was determined to get this color way. It was the original color way I have wanted all this time. I just ended with two more than I originally have planned for. I love this Phillip Lim tuxedo jacket. It really never ceases to amaze me how versatile it is. I totally bummed it down to a hobo look with the beanie and the ninja sleeve sweater I have underneath. I forget who the sweater is by, but I got it as a Christmas present from Catherine and Marc last year. Totally an awesome gift. Thanks guys!

We Have a Winner

I finally found a winner in my leather jacket search. This one is by Acne. I found it on sale on Matches and its amazing. Its a little big, but I don't mind it. It lets me layer lots of things underneath if needed. I am wearing it two ways above. Its really just an amazing jacket and looks good with just about everything.

The first outfit is very simple. The Givenchy skirt is an amazing piece I got on sale over the summer. You can't tell in the picture, but its got a jaquard leopard print all over. The Balmian Pre-Fall collection just came out and he had midi pencil skirts with motorcycle biker jackets. He totally read my mind.

The second outfit is the jacket worn with my Topshop fringe poncho top thing and with over the knee boots by Robert Clergerie. Totally going for the all black everything in this outfit.

The third outfit is moto jacket on moto jacket. Love the layering of the leather on top of the acid wash denim. The winter and the cold weather makes me want to wear maxi skirt all the time. This pleated ASOS maxi skirt is perfect for the transition of seasons with the orange color.

Come Spring and Summer this jacket will be great over little dresses and short skirts with ankle boots. Definitely looking forward to that.

Dinner outfit over the weekend. Totally going for the homeless, hobo look. My friend said I looked like Mary-Kate, but i'll take it as a compliment. I was comfortable and cozy. After dinner on our drive back we stopped at the Lamps at LACMA. Such a cool little spot in the evening.

Earlier in the day, it was raining and so this was my outfit for the day.

Topshop jeans, shirt, beanie, Alexander Wang sweater, Pour la Victorie rain boots, and Chanel purse.

Must invest in a good patent/vinyl purse for rainy days. This Chanel one was a birthday present from my momma couple of years ago. It is a great rainy day purse.

I got this Isabel Marant sweater at Creatures of Comfort couple of weeks ago. It was on sale and it was something that I have been wanting for so long. Its such a perfect sweater. The only problem is that it makes me look like a butterball or something. Its just super chunky and round, but I love it.

I just bought this Obey knit yesterday. Its actually a men's shirt, but I was obsessed with it when I saw it at Urban Outfitters. I love me a good over sized men's shirt. The fabric is really cool. Its something you have to see up close. It reminds me of a Proenza Schouler sweater from the A/W 2011 collection that I wanted. I obviously couldn't afford that one, so this one was the next best thing. It's starting to get cold again in LA. We were spoiled for about 2 weeks with amazing weather and now its back to winter weather and gear.

David Bowie meets Christina Applegate in Don't Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead. I'm obsessed with Balenciaga's Pre-Fall collection. Its everything that I have ever loved in fashion all in one collection. Nicolas Ghesquière is just killing it right now. His last couple collections have been amazing. I know some of you might think this is crazy and ugly, but I definitely can appreciate it and would wear every one of these outfits. I really need to have that red oversize turtle neck sweater right now.

Kinda obsessed with my outfit today. I went to American Apparel last night and got this fleece sweat shirt. I have a thing for them at the moment. Weird, random, I know. I actually don't know.

I haven't worn these leopard Etoile Isabel Marant pants in awhile and I needed some leopard in my life. I paired it with my multi-color sneakers for some more color. I've been going for the more boyish look lately for my everyday look. I have been influenced and inspired from several guy friends, men's fashion, Marty McFly, and Phoebe Philo. She's the shit. I want to be her when I grow up.

I totally had a dream about this outfit last night. I woke up and knew exactly what I wanted to wear today. It was pretty amazing. I just remember my dream telling me I should wear these Current/Elliott olive green chinos with my new multi-colored Isabel Marant sneakers. My dream knows whats up. How amazing are these sneakers? I was on the fence when I first saw them online, but in person they are sick. It is disgustingly good. Who would of thought mustard yellow, anthracite, burgundy, pink, and beige would look good together. I think of all the colors she is releasing for Spring 2012, these are definitely my favorite.

Isabel Marant Bekket Sneakers

It is mine at last. Took me almost a year to get one finally. I actually snagged this one off of eBay. I love the black on black. I've been obsessing over these shoes for a long time. The built in hidden wedge is so necessary and comfortable. Thankfully she changed her manufacturing to Portugal. The first generations were made in China. I was a bad piggie and ordered the multi-colored one from Barneys. For the Spring, they are calling it the Willow basket boot. It arrives Saturday. I just wanted to get my hands on it before it sold out and decide if I will keep it or not later. They are selling out like hot cakes. I am willing to trade in all my Louboutin's for these kicks. 5 inch heels are so last year. Sneakers are my new obsessions. Velcro never looked this good.

I went to Vegas for New Years and it was just out of control. Highlight of the weekend was witnessing Yeezy World Peace deejay at 1Oak. I am posting 4 of my Vegas outfits. The hot pink dress was my New Years Eve dress. I wanted to be bright and festive. I wore the all white outfit on new year's day. These Isabel Marant are quite the eye catchers. Its funny to see everyone's eyes go straight to the pants. One of my favorite purchases. The 2nd night I wore my Givenchy skirt with the sheer front sweater. Love these two pieces so much. The last outfit was my airplane fit. The oversize Givenchy sweater is the perfect thing to wear when you are exhausted and hungover out of your mind. I hope everyone had a great weekend. How Do One Get Around in a Pencil Skirt?

Late night dinner outfit from last night. You can hardly tell that I am wearing the sheer front Givenchy sweater, but I am. You can see it at the top of where my skirt is. I just have it layered underneath another black shirt underneath. Black on black looks so hard. This skirt is probably the most restricting piece of garment I own in my closet. I do not know how one gets around in a pencil skirt. I give props to the girls who wear kimonos and gotta shuffle their feet all day long to get around. I could barely get into my car or sit, but it is so fabulous. The things we put ourselves through to wear amazing clothes. I need a chauffeur. That would solve most of my problems.

Givenchy Orchid Panther Duchess Satin Pencil Skirt with Manolo Blahnik pumps

All week I have been eying this skirt on SSense. It was on sale for half off and it was just tempting me all week. To my disappointment, it was sold out this morning when I went to go check on it. I was sad, but also a slight of relief because I didn't have to think about it anymore. Well, after work I stopped by Neiman Marcus to find a slip. Of course I had to take a peek at the sale section. This skirt was there, but for 40% off and it was a size too big. I let it go again. I thought I could of got a better deal on SSense if I had jumped on the opportunity sooner. I show my friend a picture of the skirt when we grabbed a bite to eat. We then walked over to Barney's to check out the sales. The sales were further reduced to 60% there. Insane. Well, we went to the 2nd floor designers and I had to peek at the Givenchy section. My friend noticed the skirt that I showed him in the picture and was like, "isn't this the skirt you want?" YES!!! I lit up immediately. The tag wasn't marked down, so I had to check on the price. It was 60% off and in my size. It was meant to be. I got the better deal in the end. WINNER! I think I stared at it long enough to manifest this moment. I don't think I could of asked for a more perfect moment. Now, if I can only do this with my dream man. Maybe I should started staring at a picture of Ryan Gosling everyday and see what happens.

Just playing around in the closet last night. I think I might have just figured out how to wear this Alexander Wang cropped velvet jacket that I got on sale last fall. I am missing a top, but I am just anticipating the arrival of a new Givenchy top I got from Far Fetch on sale. Stay tuned. I am so excited. I love the all black everything, especially when its a mix of velvet and leather. Yum.

I went to the Jay-Z and Kanye West Watch the Throne concert last night and lost my mind. It was the most epic and ridiculous concert ever. Everyone literally went H.A.M. in there. Jay-Z and Kanye put on the most amazing show.

I wore my Givenchy plaid shirt with leather leggings and a white tee to the concert. I got excited cause Kanye wore his plaid Givenchy shirt with the gold studs during one of his solo parts. He too had it tied around his waist. I totally geeked out. I probably was the only who noticed and appreciated it.

On another note, I think it is time to do some laundry looking at that pile. eek.

Stella McCartney Oversize Fringe Caridgan

I just got this cardigan and I am obsessed with it. I got mix reviews. The men seem to not like it. The ladies though get it and think its cute. I think I look like a Sesame Street character or a Muppet. I think its a keeper. I got it on sale on Net-a-porter. It fills my void of the Phillip Lim fringe jacket from last year that I regret not getting. I bought it 2 sizes too big purposely so it would fit oversize and be more like a coat.

This sweater was the only thing I had my eye one on in the Barney's Fall/Winter sale. It all went down last Thursday morning.

I was summoned for jury duty so I brought my iPad with me to keep me entertained. What did I do with my time? I shopped online of course. Barney's Designer sale went live and I couldn't help myself. I found this sweater on sale and that was pretty much it. I did buy two pairs of shoes and a Phillip Lim dress that I mentioned in an earlier post, but this sweater is just the icing on the cake. It is amazing. I love the oversized, boho chic look to it. I love oversize cardigans. I live in them and this one is perfect for the winter. I love the cardigan paired with this Topshop faux leather pants and just a plain white tee to keep it simple and cool. I also got these Isabel Marant booties on sale too at Barneys. The boots with the outfit make it more edgy and dresses it up a little bit, but still keeps it simple and cool.

Update on the my sale purchases, the Rick Owen jacket went back. It was too small and I wasn't too crazy about it when I received it. I got a couple of more things, but I think they are going back too after finding this cardigan. I don't really need anything else.

Quick outfit post. I know its been scarce. Sorry about the lack of posts. My friend Roxanna took this photo with my iPhone at the Farmer's Market on Sunday. The weather was unbelievable over the weekend. I had to take advantage of it so I went sleeveless.

I am still obsessed with these pants. One of my favorite purchases of the year. The weather is all crazy. It was nice and warm for a couple of days, now its windy and cold.

'Tis the Sale Season

It is here. The sale season is upon us and boy did I do some damage (sorry Mom if your reading this. Oops).

It all started last Tuesday when Net-a-Porter had a "secret sale" on Facebook. I snagged the Rick Owens leather jacket for 50% off. It was a deal. You cannot pass an opportunity like that up.

Thanksgiving evening, Net-a-porter and SSense sale went live. I actually was really tamed. I put a lot of things in my shopping bag, but only managed to get the T by Alexander Wang sweater on SSense. I really had to think about each purchase. I didn't want seasonal items that I would wear once and just be a closet filler collecting dust. I needed practical items that I will wear over and over again.

I had to work on Friday and probably was a good thing because I didn't have to deal with the crazy crowds.

I went to Barney's on Saturday for a quick peek. I actually was just looking for the Isabel Marant Cleane booties. I managed to walk away with 2 pairs of Isabel Marant shoes. They were on sale and still had my size available. I couldn't say no. That's two more pairs to my growing collection of her shoes. Out with the Christian Louboutin's and in with the Isabel Marant's.

I walked around the clothing section. There wasn't really much on sale yet. December 1st is when all the mark downs happen. I did get this Phillip Lim space dye sweatshirt dress. I love the fabric, silhouette, and fit. My Balmain buckle bootie would look amazing with it. It will be a great cold weather dress. Perfect for New York coming this February.

I usually manage to find great pieces on sale. Last night I wore my Phillip Lim gilet that I found on sale about 2 years ago. It was one of my favorite finds ever. It is still wearable year after year.

Over the years I have learned a lot about shopping sales. I sometimes will let myself go a little bit, but its better to find investment pieces that are worth buying. We usually hear the word "sale" and buy it immediately. But what I've learned is that a lot of the items are not worth keeping over time. They all become dust collectors. Its hard to resist temptation, but you will thank yourself in the future for not purchasing some things. Then again, there are some things that I've passed up and still regret till this day. What can you do. You win some, you lose some.

Turn That Frown Upside Down

I pretty much had a really crappy 11/11/11. While everyone was making wishes and getting married, I was going nuts at work. Only way to cheer me up from the shit day was to take a long hot shower, put on some make-up, and put on amazing clothes.

I just got an iPhone recently and I am obsessed with it. The one app I am addicted to is Instagram. The picture was taken with that app.
