Well, this looks like an interesting match made in angry Black woman heaven.  Oprah Winfrey posted the above photo with Tyler Perry on her Facebook page with the following caption:

We had a real LOL good time with this. Sophia meets Madea tomorrow.

I am sure the two had a blast filming what every it was they were filming and if they let Madea be Madea I am more than sure than not only will it be hilarious, but it will also be great.

After securing a deal to become the newest fresh face for the cosmetics brand Covergirl, Janelle Monae has been on the fast pace to success. With an already budding singing career and a new album scheduled to release this summer, Monae took time out of her busy schedule to talk with contributing Essence writer Lola Ogunnaike to talk about her unique style, her unwillingness to change who she is in order to succeed and why she choices to not draw attention to her awesome, petite figure.

It is her belief that while dressing sexy has it’s high points, it is also important to her that she shows other women – especially young girls – that there are different ways to be attractive and those ways have absolutely nothing to do with your body or shape.

People don’t ask Jay-Z to take his shirt off when he rhymes. Showing my skin is not what makes me sexy. I like skirts and dresses just like everyone else, but I had a message I needed to put out there. It was up to me to show people and young girls there was another way. [...] I enjoy the tuxedo and I enjoy suits. They are timeless and transcendent 18th century, 19th century, 20th century all the way to 2719. I think the tuxedo will outlive us.

RAY J AND TEAIRRA MARI SPOTTED HANGING OUT IN L.A.!!!!

Boy, am I late or what? I must be the last to know that Ray J and former Roc Princess, Teairra Mari were dating back in 2008 – prior to Ray J’s reality TV dating show.

Nonetheless, the two former lovers/current friends were spotted doing a little shopping in Los Angeles over the weekend.  Word around the WWW is that the two have been seeing each other frequently over the last few weeks, so who knows. We may have a new Hollywood couple to snoop on.

However, since the rumors are merely speculation with no confirmation of being true, we will take the photos for what they are. Two old friends having a good time with each other.

NEW MUSIC VIDEO!!!! CHRIS BROWN – FINE CHINA!!!

Oh me, oh my, oh Chris!

Chris Brown released the official music video for his new single ‘Fine China‘ . The single is the official first single off Brown’s soon-to-be released album X.

The video features the 23 year old singer channeling his inner ninja + Michael Jackson [watch him work] as he swoons over his love interest. Brown told Billboard that when coming up with the concept of the video his intentions were to give fans a glimpse of the softer gentlemen side of him with a little less ‘rough’.  His female fans will love it as they watch him dance circles around his ‘yellow model’ love interest [his words, not mine...Look At Me Now]

 I wanted to go with a film director to set the mood and bring that artistic side to it. I’m not one who always loves to stand in front of the camera with flashy cars and big booty girls all the time. It’s cool and I do features on raps (laughs). But I like to showcase a different side. I tweeted the other day that chivalry ain’t dead. What that meant was, in this video, you’ll see me taking care of the girl, doing gentlemanly things — showing another side of me.

Great! As if we weren’t already going crazy preparing for the Spring/Summer – frantically rearranging closets, re-stocking on summer dresses, hiding old shoes etc – MAC Cosmetics has decided to add to our list of must haves.

Brandy Norwood is clearly not here to ‘Bow Down‘.

Okay, maybe not her words exactly but I am sure those were clearly here thoughts when the veteran songtress and actress was asked her thoughts on the controversial “Bow Down/I Been On’ song that was recently released by Beyonce Knowles.

By now, I am sure that your ears have caught wind of the Beyonce’s latest promo/snippet of her single ‘Bow Down/I Been On’ in which she can be heard telling other female artists – including those who are equally talented- to Bow Down and watch her throne.  The song has has sparked controversial conversation, debate and talk among stans and anti-beyhivers all over the world. Oddly enough, I happen to know more stans who disapprove of the song than those who approve.

Anyway, during her recent sit down with The Grio correspondent Chris Witherspoon, Brandy gracefully and politely expressed her dislike for the song, making it clear that while she was definitely a fan of Beyonce, the song…she was not here for.

“You know what? I think art is freedom, you know what I’m saying? And you should be able to express yourself the way you choose to express yourself. Of course people are gonna have their own opinions. But opinion is opinion. I think art should be expressed the way it should. I don’t love the song, but I love Beyoncé. I have to be honest.”

NY Knicks Tyson Chandler Gets ‘GQ’ With Son

Handsome New York Knicks player, Tyson Chandler, covers the newest issue of GQ magazine with his adorable son Tyson, Jr.

Known for his stylish and sophisticated wardrobe when both on (bench side) and off the court, it was only right for GQ Magazine to snatch up the handsome Knicks player for their latest issue.  After snagging the ball player for his spread, GQ magazine decided it would be a good idea to also snag the married 30 year old, 7 foot tall basketball players adorable son to accompany him on the shoot.

Admittingly, Chandler was not always the sharp, debonair well dressed man that we see today. Chandler candidly recalls his more ‘street style’ days which consisted off baggy jeans and large obnoxious fur coats, particularly when he was on the Bulls rooster.

 Fashion Blogger Accessories We Love shows off her stylish and colorful collection of uber cute colored skinny’s.

One of the latest fashion trends happens to be that of colorful denim and printed skinny jeans.  I, for one, love my skinny jeans but I have always been a tad bit intimidated by skinnys or jeans that contain any color or print outside of the normal light, medium and dark wash colors. The thought of purchasing a fabulous pair of colorful skinny jeans only for them to go unworn because of my fear of wearing them wrong has prevented me from buying a number of cute pants I have been eyeing for months now.

In my quest to find the proper way to rock these pants, I ran across a young fashion blogger who shares my love of colored denim and also knows how to rock them.

Fashion Blogger Accessories We Love shows off her red skinny’s paired with a cute brown handbag and nude pumps.

She pairs these cute purple skinnys with a pair of pink/fuchsia pumps and matching belt.

These yellow skinny’s were paired with a pair of blue pumps and matching blue/white cardigan.
