A while back I wrote up a recap of our first Houston Sneaker Summit 2010 experience, which can be read here. And as usual with all our event visits, we like to produce a recap video to give y’all readers a chance to witness the event visually in addition to the write-ups and photographs. Mr. Plinkett, the World’s Greatest Movie Reviewer, has taken a tiny break from his Star Wars movie reviews and has finally reviewed the newest 2009 Star Trek movie. It’s an hour long type of very enjoyable review, a should watch for people like you and me.

A bunch of girls doing a Spider-Man-themed dance routine, it’s whatever a spider-can do. This just leaves me speechless, it’s so intense. Tap dancing has now changed to me completely.

Don’t be fooled, this is a painting, just like all the rest of the picture in the gallery below. Alex Roulette is the artist of the day and there is no one else I would rather let it be. These paintings are amazing, Look at the contrast of orange on that dudes jacket!

Alexander Augusteijn is a talented photographer in the art of high-speed photography, as you can see with the bullet through water shot. I can only stress out about how hard it would be to photograph a bullet hitting a water droplet, it’s near impossible I believe, for me.

I am a photographer from the Netherlands, specializing in high speed photography. I use a normal flash to achieve very short illuminations. The most critical parameter in this kind of photography is timing, which is achieved by computer control of shutter, flash, valve, gun or whatever other device is used.
These kind of images require a lot of experimentation, dedication, patience and willingness to endlessly clean spill of liquids and debris from objects shot to pieces. Several hundreds of trial shots may be needed to get timing correct. After that, the process is pretty well controlled, and often half of the shots will be usable, with 1 out of 10 really interesting.

Los Angeles recently banned people from dressing up like superheroes on Hollywood Boulevard, due to them taking pictures with locals/tourist and threatening them for a tip. My view on this, “Picture?” “Yeah!” “Sweet! I can show my friends I met the White Ranger!” “Now pay me or I’ll shank you.”

Serenading Unicorn sings “Culture Club”! It’s completely random, and awesome. I’ve never seen something so abstract and random in my life. This makes me want to find a similar unicorn doll and throw it in a river, then punch- out this chick!

Today, let it be written in history that Freddie Wong has officially been the one to put rocket jumps into videogame guides everywhere with the first Rocket Jump by man. It may be a small step for mankind, but it’s one huge leap for this man.

As a Team Fortress 2 soldier and Quake 3 rocket-jumping fragginator, I salute you.
