Thomas Dolby - Dissidents: The Search For Truth Parts 1-2 was from his 3rd LP The Flat Earth in 1984. It included the Hyperactive and I Scare Myself. The London-born musician whose real last name is Robertson was given the nickname Dolby after Dolby Laboratories. They eventually sued him for use of the name after he released Dolby's Cube. They partially won because he can now only use the name if Thomas is attached to it.

Rhythm Heritage - Disco-Fied was best known for Theme From S.W.A.T. from the popular 70's television show. It also was a breakbeat for the DJ's that used to cut up records back in the day. It went to #1 in 1976. I played violin in 7th grade and my band played the theme song. Another theme song on the LP was from another popular 70's show Baretta. It was called "Keep Your Eye On The Sparrow" and was sung by Sammy Davis Jr. The credits areas follows:

Disco Tex & His Sex-O-Lettes was one of the first disco bands from the 70's with the coolest name. So cool that Elvis Costello and The Pet Shop Boys both wrote lyrics with the band name in them. This LP from 1975 featured their hits Get Dancin' and I Wanna Dance Wit' Choo (Doo Dat Dance). Bob Crewe was the producer and vocalist along with Sir Monti Rock.

Martin Circus was a French group that formed in 1969. Disco Circus was from a French movie the group appeared in called Bidasses In Rumble. The only good thing about the movie was Disco Circus. It was remixed by fellow Frenchman, Francois Kevorkian. Released as a 2 pack promotional 12" in 1978 on the disco label Prelude, it became a Top 20 Dance hit in the United States. It also is one of the most sampled disco records.

The song "Super Strut" was featured on the soundtrack of the video game Grand Theft Auto Vice City.

First Choice - Delusions was the 4th LP from this Philadelphia group in 1977. It was their first on the Salsoul sub-label Gold Mind. It was their highest charting LP peaking at 103. It was also their first LP where Ursula Herring joined Rochelle Fleming and Annette Guest. It contained the disco hits Dr. Love and Let No Man Put Asunder. The latter didn't get an official 12" single release till some 6 years later in 1983. They also did an excellent remake of Stevie Wonder's Love Having You Around with Ursula on lead vocals.

It wasn't your traditional pop song as it clocked in at over 7 minutes. The first half was a ballad led by Jermaine and the 2nd half was a dance scorcher with Michael singing lead.
