				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>LSU (49-8) generated all the offense they needed in the bottom of the first inning Wednesday in Hoover, Alabama.  The tide (33-25) was kept scoreless for the game thanks mainly to the tigers starting pitcher Cody Glenn (7-2) who went 7 innings and put the tigers in a winner&#8217;s bracket contest against Arkansas (36-19) who defeated Ole Miss in 10 innings 2-1  in the early game today.</p>
<p>Tiger ace Aaron Nola (10-0, 1.99 ERA) will meet the razorbacks top pitcher Ryne Staneck (8-2, 1.54).</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>LSU (48-8) will begin the post season in Hoover, Alabama Wednesday with a scheduled start time of 1:00.  The first pitch is unknown due to to the early game that proceeds the contest.   Originally sophomore right-hander Aaron Nola was scheduled to start but  instead coach Mainieri decided that sophomoreleft-hander Cody Glenn (6-2, 2.64 ERA) has had a better history against Alabama (33-24) and will face the tide in the 2nd round of the Tournament.  Glenn will most likely face Alabama senior right-hander Charley Sullivan (5-5, 3.58 ERA).</p>
<p>7th seeded Alabama  defeated 10th seeded rival Auburn 6-3 in Tuesday&#8217;s first round to move on to the 2nd round matchup with 2nd seeded LSU.</p>
<p>In the tournament&#8217;s double-elimination format, the winner of Wednesday&#8217;s contest will play at 4:30 Thursday against the winner of the Ole Miss-Arkansas winner.  The loser will play at 9:30 Thursday morning against the Ole Miss-Arkansas loser.</p>

<p>Sophomore pitcher Cody Glenn (6-2)  again was the Thursday starter.  Glenn earned the win allowing one run on 8 hits and striking out 2.  Ole Miss right-hander Mike Mayers (4-5) suffered the loss.  The tigers finished the game with 10 hits.</p>
<p> Mississippi sophomore right-hander Sam Smith (3-0, 3.15 ERA) is expected to face LSU junior right-hander Kurt McCune (3-1, 3.18 ERA) tonight at 7:00.  The game will be televised by Cox Sports Television.</p>
<p>Saturday&#8217;s final game of the series is scheduled for a noon start and will be televised by the CBS Sports Network.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The tigers (46-7, 21-6 SEC) wrapped up the SEC western division championship last Saturday and will host Mississippi (35-18, 14-13 SEC) this weekend to wrap up the 2013 regular season.  Aaron Nola is not scheduled to pitch this weekend and replacing Nola will be junior right-hander Kurt McCune who is expected to get the start on Friday night in Game 2 which is scheduled for a 7:00 start.  Game 3 is scheduled to start at 12:00 on Sunday.</p>
<p>All three games this weekend will be televised.  LSU&#8217;s 46 wins are the most in school historysince the NCAA adopted a 56 game schedule.  21 SEC victories is the most by a tiger team since the 1998 team finished with a 29-9 league record.</p>
