In early January I shot International Citizen’s 2012 catalog in Downtown L.A.. Two gorgeous models in a unique spot in downtown L.A. featured unique designs by i.CTZN’s Laura Krusemark and Sheena Gao.  And it also wasn’t so bad that “True Blood” was filming next to our location so we got to go behind the scenes… all in all, it ’twas a really great shoot!  Check out a few of my favorite stills.

 About 2 hours before I was to catch my plane out of L.A. we scheduled a session to photograph an original gown by Gordana Gelhausen on the beautiful Joell Posey.  We chose Venice Beach as our backdrop for the sesh, which was the perfect canvas for Joell’s unique beauty and Gordana’s stunning gown.  As the waves hit the rocks behind us, our simple setting turned into something much more ethereal and elegant. I  love it when things flow together! Check out a few of my favorite shots from our 1/2hr session in Venice.

I’ve definitely found that my wedding and family clients are non-traditional.  Usually my clients are a bit more outside of the box, creative, stylish, and definitely quirky.  When the Spisaks told me of their wedding plans last January I was absolutely delighted.  An intimate ceremony in the Colorado Fall with a small group of family and friends then a speakeasy event complete with tommy guns and flapper dresses.  Needless to say, they had me at hello.  Take a gander at a few of my favorite moments with the Spisaks this past Fall.

 Mandy and Ilan, what can I say?.. hilarious, fantastic, cool.  Yep, I feel so lucky that they choose me to shoot their wedding.  Sometimes I feel like I want to ask them for their autograph, but they’re too cool for that.  We met up last Fall to photograph their engagement shots.  Colorado’s gorgeous Fall, a hearty bottle of Scotch and an elegant picnic was the perfect set to show their personality and love.  Check out a few of my favorite shots of one of my favorite couples.

I first met Danielle and Rob last January for vino in Cherry Creek.  I usually interview my wedding clients because I don’t do many weddings per year.  I personally believe that having the right chemistry in the photog/client relationship is even more important than just being a good photographer; less is more.  Our “date” went well, , and it wasn’t long before Danielle was telling me their story.  As she did, she was so filled with love for Rob that she began to cry.  I of course, being the schmuck that I am, also teared up and essentially I begged them to let me shoot their wedding.  They said “I do” and I was able to capture some really intimate and beautiful shots from their day…

Thank you Danielle and Rob!  Blessings and love to you both.

Wow, it was such a great experience to share in Ali and Mike’s wedding.  It’s always a pleasure being in the presence of two people who sincerely love and enjoy the other, not to mention that are also a a part of two huge families that are hilarious and easy going.  Set in DU’s Cable Center the natural light reflected off the windows and glasses reflected not only unique imagery, but also the utter rightness of their union.  Take a gander at a few of my favorite moments.
