First, ensure that the intended new owner sets up a Dynadot account, should they not already possess one. 

After their account is established, obtain their “Push Username” from them. It’s important to note that this may differ from their regular Dynadot username. This username is crucial as it’s required to transfer or “push” the domain into their account.

To find your Push Username, follow these steps:

• Log into your Dynadot account. 
• Select ‘My Info’, and then choose ‘Account Settings’ from the menu on the left. 
• Your ‘Account Info’ will display various details—look for the fourth entry labeled ‘Name’, listed directly below your username.

Prior to initiating the domain push, it is necessary to disable the lock on the domain(s) you intend to transfer.

To unlock domain, select the domain name you want to transfer

From the ‘Action’ menu on top of the domain name choose the option ‘Unlock dodains’

Subsequently, you will be prompted to supply Dynadot.com with the personal details you provided at the time of account creation in order to unlock the domain.

After unlocking your domain(s) and obtaining the recipient’s push username, you may proceed with the change of ownership (domain push) by following these steps:

• Navigate to the left-side menu and click on “My Domains” 
• Select “Manage Domains” from the options that appear. 
• Tick the box beside the domain name(s) you wish to transfer. Choose “Change Account” from the “Action” drop-down menu.

In the next step you will be asked to insert the Recipient Push Username and their email.

Click the “Push Domains” button. 

Proceed to your shopping cart and continue by clicking the “Checkout” buttons to finalize your change of ownership request. 

The domain recipient will receive an email requesting confirmation of the transfer. Upon their acceptance, the domain(s) will be seamlessly pushed from your account to theirs.

For a bulk domain push, select all the domains you wish to transfer and then apply the aforementioned steps. Be aware that the Forum Name and either Organization or Name will be sent to the receiving account.

Please note that newly created accounts are not eligible to push domains into another new account.

• Log into your Dynadot.com account

From the ‘Action’ menu on top of the domain name choose the option ‘Unlock dodains’

In the next step, you will be asked to provide Dynadot.com with the personal information you set up during the account creation to unlock the domain.

Upon successfully unlocking your domain, you will be able to obtain your domain’s authorization code. This code is essential as you will need to provide it to your new registrar to proceed with the transfer.

To get the Auth code click on the domain name, and on the next page scroll down to the Authorization Code section.

It is crucial to keep your domain unlocked while the transfer is in process, but for the sake of security, it is advisable to re-enable the lock on your account once the transfer is complete.

Additionally, while on the “Manage Domains” page, you can verify your domain’s Whois information by clicking the ellipsis icon next to your domain name. It is important that the registrant email address is accurate, as your new registrar will send a confirmation email to this address to authenticate the transfer.

• Turn off the Registrar Lock for your domain by logging into your existing registrar’s account or by reaching out to them directly.
• Acquire the transfer code for your domain, also known as the Authorization Code or Auth-Code, from your present registrar.
• Finalize the domain transfer by navigating to the Dynadot.com website.

Insert the domain name and the Authorization Code in corresponding fields and press “Transfer” button.

After that, your domain you want to transfer in will be added to the shopping cart.

Proceed to the shopping cart and complete the payment process.

Upon finalizing your transfer request, a confirmation will be sent to the email tied to your Dynadot account. 

After the transfer gains approval, Dynadot will send you an email to notify you that the domain transfer process has begun. 

When the transfer is fully executed, Dynadot will send you two emails: one to confirm the completion of the domain transfer and another to indicate that your order has been successfully concluded.

• Sign into your GoDaddy.com account
• Navigate to the ‘Domain Portfolio’ section

• Choose the domain you wish to transfer.

Select the ‘Transfer to Another GoDaddy Account’ option located within the ‘Transfer’ section.

On the next page enter the new account owner’s email address and its customer ID (optional). Then press the ‘Send Transfer Request’ button.

The transfer will start, and the recipient must now accept the domains into their account. Click on ‘View My Transfers’ to see any other pending transfers, or choose ‘View My Domains’ to return to your Domain Portfolio.

After logging into your Control Panel, if you have multiple domains, click on the desired one. 

Then, scroll down and choose the Domain Transfers option.

From this point, you can either input an existing account reference or establish a brand new account.

Fill in all required fields. Once finished, click the ‘Proceed’ link to finalize your portion of the procedure.

The new account holder will get a confirmation email containing a link. Upon their clicking it, the domain will be automatically moved from your account to theirs.

1. Transferring a .UK domain away from Names.co.uk

After logging into your Control Panel, click on your domain name.

On the next page scroll to the bottom of the page and select Domain Transfers.

On the next page you’ll see several choices. The final option is labeled “Change Nominet Tag.” Select this link to continue with the transfer out.

Two input fields will now appear that you need to fill in to proceed with the transfer. 

You have to provide the reason for moving your domain and input the Nominet/IPS TAG of your new Registrar. If you haven’t acquired it yet, you should contact your new Registrar directly to get this information.

After entering the required information and clicking on ‘Proceed’, you’ll be prompted to pay an administration fee of £10 +VAT. Following your payment, Names.co.uk will send the transfer request to your new provider. They must approve this request for the transfer to be finalized.

2. Transferring a .com .net .org .biz .info or .us domain away from Names.co.uk

After logging into your Control Panel, click on your domain name.

On the next page scroll to the bottom of the page and select Domain Transfers.

On the following page, multiple options will be displayed. The last one is titled “Change Nominet Tag.” Click on it to proceed with the transfer out.

Enter your email address and click Proceed. Note, that there is a £10 + VAT administration fee.

After payment is made, an Authorisation Code will be sent to the email address you provided. Share this code with your new provider to facilitate the completion of the transfer process.

After logging into your Control Panel, choose ‘Services’ from the top navigation. From the ensuing dropdown, select ‘Domains & Services’.

Then select ‘Add Domain’ from the left-hand menu.

Several options will appear in the center of your screen. Locate and click on the “Transfer a domain to us” link.

On the next page choose the correct type of the domain you want to transfer in.

Names.co.uk has five different flows for transferring domains with various extensions.

1. Transfer a Nominet domain (ending .uk) 

Click on the “Click here to transfer .uk domains”. On the next page type the domain name(s) you want to transfer in a corresponding box and click Proceed.

Names.co.uk system will receive the incoming transfer. Then you need to contact your current registration provider and ask them to update the IPS tag on your domain to NAMESCO. This is the only information they need to transfer your domain to Names.co.uk. If they don’t do this, your domain will stay with them.

Names.co.uk doesn’t change the nameserver entries on your domain during this process. You can only change nameservers after the IPS tag is changed to Names.co.uk’s and the domain is active in your account.

2. Transfer a .com .net .org .biz .info .mobi or .us domain

Click on the “Click here to transfer .com .net .org .biz .info .mobi .us domains”. On the next page type the domain name(s) you want to transfer in a corresponding box and click Proceed.

You need to read the text in your Control Panel carefully when you start the transfer process for these types of domains, as there are some requirements that you have to meet. You should also know that there is a fee of £10 +VAT for transferring one of these domains to Names.co.uk.

After the payment is made, the domain goes to your Names.co.uk account with a Transfer In status. When Names.co.uk registrar confirms that the transfer is done, the status changes and you can manage the domain through your account.

3. Transfer a new gTLD to Namesco

Click on the “Click here to transfer New gTLD domains”. On the next page type the domain name(s) you want to transfer in a corresponding box and click Proceed.

This type of domain has the same process as the .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .mobi and .us domains. You have to pay a £10 + VAT transfer fee.

After the payment is made, the domain goes to your Names.co.uk account with a Transfer In status. When Names.co.uk confirms that the transfer is done, the status changes and you can manage the domain through your account.

4. Transfer an IEDR (.ie) domain name to Namesco

Click on the “Click here to transfer .ie domains”. On the next page type the domain name you want to transfer and the Auth code in the corresponding boxes and click Proceed.

The .ie domain transfers are priced at £24.99 each. To safeguard against unauthorized transfers, an Authorisation Code, often referred to as an “EPP Auth Code”, is mandatory. This code is established by the .ie Registry (IEDR) and must be submitted to Names.co.uk to initiate the transfer.

You can procure the Authorisation Codes from your present provider or directly from the .ie Registry (IEDR) by reaching out to registrations@iedr.ie or through https://console.iedr.ie/index.php?r=authcodePortal/request.

After completing the payment, the transfer process should be done in 24 hours, and Names.co.uk will email you when it is finished.

5. Transfer a domain name with any other suffix
