With the tournament in its 21st year, it’s not since 1992 that the Union Jack was last draped over the Nations Trophy.

With Germany and Switzerland starting strongly over days one and two, and with China, Korea and East Asia ever present near the top of the leaderboard, it was as hard fought a contest as the Ryder Cup.

Thanks to a battling performance on the third and final day, overcoming nerves and the expectation of supporters, the team exceeded all expectations, finishing seven points ahead of second placed China. A truly remarkable win, allowing Mercedes-Benz UK to proudly hold the Nations Trophy once again.

Working with Leisurecorp, Flightscope installed a tournament system on the 17th and 18th holes of the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates. The systems recorded data from all 60 players over the four rounds which was presented live to the galleries, and to the players via a daily report.

The collated data can now be viewed on the European Tour website here or you can re-live any chosen tee shot from any player at Flightscope.com

If you’ve not seen Richard’s work before, he is a founding member of the Academy of Golf Art, and has been the official artist for the Jack Nicklaus Memorial Tournament as well as the 2004 Ryder Cup at Oakland Hills. His career has taken him to some of the World’s most prestigious courses, and his wonderfully accurate oil paintings have won him acclaim and admiration.

We’ve enclosed just a few samples of Richard’s work, which you have to agree would grace anyones home. His framed prints certainly make for perfect gifts or even prizes for your golf tournament.
