Working with Leisurecorp, Flightscope installed a tournament system on the 17th and 18th holes of the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates. The systems recorded data from all 60 players over the four rounds which was presented live to the galleries, and to the players via a daily report.

If you’ve not seen Richard’s work before, he is a founding member of the Academy of Golf Art, and has been the official artist for the Jack Nicklaus Memorial Tournament as well as the 2004 Ryder Cup at Oakland Hills. His career has taken him to some of the World’s most prestigious courses, and his wonderfully accurate oil paintings have won him acclaim and admiration.

St Andrews, viewed from West Sands.

Part of the Ritz-Carlton group, the five star Villa Padierna Hotel is just 10 minutes from the centre of Marbella, amongst the hills with views out to the Mediterranean. The centre piece of the resort is a sumptuous 124 bedroom hotel built in the style of a Roman villa, complete with two luxurious pools and an exquisite Thermae Spa.

This wonderful resort now boasts two 18 hole championship courses; Los Flamingos and the Gran Flamingo. The former having hosted the Daily Telegraph European Seniors Match Play Championship from 2002 to 2004.

The striking design of the original Los Flamingos course stretches around all four sides of the hotel, which provides a beautiful backdrop together with a lake that comes in to play along the length of both the challenging 1st and 10th holes. Two tee starts are possible and it’s proved to be a great set up for Corporate golf.

The new Gran Flamingo course is considered a stiffer test, meandering up into the hills, with many narrow fairways and tricky ravines. However, combine it with a round on the Los Flamingos course and you’re in for a very memorable, luxurious break.
