Hello there! Long time, no see. For many a reason and another, the blogging came to a complete stop a while back. Lost interest in the game, came back, but had lost interest in the blog. Also, I reckoned any old readers had counted on this blog being rather dead for good this time as well. Shame, as I quite enjoyed it. Maybe I'll manage to have a go at it again though. I'll give it a shot. Some things have changed. If you are reading this, you might have noticed that the header have changed, in order to match my new "self". Troll it is nowadays, and a new server and guild as well. So far, I like it here, and I'm raiding only now and then, which is cool, since i have rather busy days at uni now. I got accepted into a 5-year teachers education, which will end in a MA in what seems to be British literature (unless I change my mind and pick language or area studies). Quite interesting, but also so very much hard work. Yikes. Anyway, onto the topic of this post.

I wanted to put together a little something on the rather new transmog feature. I was thrilled as soon as I heard about it, and I still am enjoying this feature quite a lot. I had already been collecting various gear pieces all the way back to at least TBC, so naturally I had all these different goodies lying around in my bank. Then again, those were mostly old raid sets and/or cloth and RP pieces I couldn't use, so I went ahead and worked my way through various places in order to collect new gear for my druid.

The first sets I aquired was the set from Wailing Caverns, the Embrace of the Viper. To complete the set, I had to add some extra bits and pieces, and landed on Truestrike Shoulders from the first boss in UBRS and the druid T5 headpiece. When I still had a mace, i transmogged it into The Essence Focuser, and completed it with Witch's Finger as my off-hand. Behold the (somewhat dark and gloomy) result:

Then, after a while, I wanted to swap out some pieces, but still keep a sense of "custom design", so I went to the Darkmoon Faire and purchased some old-school pieces. I swapped out the shoulders, pants and gloves with Replica Wildheart Spaulders, Replica Wildheard Gloves and Replica Wildheart Kilt. I also got a new dagger and had to ditch the mace (booo), so I went with Blade of Trapped Knowledge instead. It has a nice, white glow that will override your current enchant. Putting this together, and also pulling out a matching companion, I got the following look, which I am quite pleased with:

Voila! My current set :D Don't know how long before I get bored of this and want yet another change, but it is at least unique in some way. Haven't seen anyone else with anything similar, so that's quite nice. And oh, I had to visit the barber shop to redo my hair as well. It's all about the details, you know.

Hope to see you soon. Or well, hope to see anyone, just ANYONE reading this blog still! Give me a should if you are, please :) Toodles!

The Longest Night..

Ok, where do i even begin to explain this messy story? Let's take it from the beginning and see where it ends. I went out to the park to meet some friends of mine, and we sat there and had some beers. Then we moved to a pub with some live music which was really cool, but the sound level was awfully high, so we had to leave and go somewhere else. Then after a while i went home to change clothes and go out to meet some other friends to go clubbing.

The club was nice, music was nice, and all this i knew, since it was some people i know who DJ'd there, and i usually go there when they do. So when the night started to near its end, we went to the stop where i was to take the night bus home from, and they went to get a cab.

Just as they left, i realised i didnt have my purse. Uh-oh. No purse meant no phone, no money, no bus ticket, no keys to the flat. Awesome! I had put my purse in my friends bag, because it was more convenient, but then both she and i forgot. So i sat down to wait and see if they realised and turned around. And i waited. And waited.. AND WAITED! And it got colder and colder, and this part of town is really no place for a single woman to be wandering around alone, so i was stuck there, and there was nothing to do.

I tried to scout for a police car, so i could ask them for help, and after 1.5 hours, i managed to find someone and ask for help. They called the number info line and tried to get the phone number of my friend, but she wasnt registered. And neither was the other guy she went home with. Then what? OH, my brother lived nearby, so then we tried to call him. But he didnt answer. Muh. Running out of choices, they said i could go to the E.R. and ask for help there, or at least get shelter for the night. So off i went, as the sun was coming up, so it felt a bit safer to walk down the road to the get some "medical" help.

Arriving there i had to register and like "hi, im sort of homeless". Then i had to wait for ages to get to talk to a social worker, and when it was finally my turn, she and i couldnt manage to find my friends number either. Tried my brother again as well, and even his flat mate. No answer. Tried my best friend to have her hand me the number of the one who had my purse, but she didnt pick up. Now, normally id just call my uncle and have him take me in, but just this week he's in Spain. Bummer! And my best friend whom i tried to call (and would crash with), is in Poland. I mean, come on, how much bad luck can i have in one night alone?

Finally the social worked had a brilliant idea. Why dont i call my own phone? DING DONG. So i did, and my friend picked up, wondering wtf had happened. Some blah blah later, we agreed to meet on a bus station close to where she and the guy were, and i gave her the exact time of my arrival. Then followed more waiting.

Since i didnt have anything, the social worker had to file some papers and arrange for me to have a bus ticket. So i had to actually get some sort of social service to get there. There's a first time for everything it seems.

When the tram came, i hopped on, obviously still in last nights clothes, totally looking like i was out on a "walk of shame", which is rather embarassing, especially since i was innocent! 20 minutes later i get off at the station only to not find my friend anywhere. I waited and waited, then went into a kiosk to ask if i could borrow the phone. The dude just stared at me and gave me a lame "no". So i muttered, "ok gonna have to ask the cops then" and ran out to a police car that was parked outside (thank god), and they called my phone for me. No answer. Great, they fell asleep! They tried again, and now the dude picked up, all groggy and sleepy. A couple of minutes later he managed to give the police his adress so i could get there, and the officer told him to come out and meet me. And then he was like "hop in, we'll take you" so i got to ride the police car! Woop, never done that before :p

Finally. He was out waiting, i thanked the police, got my purse and took the bus home. Still feeling really embarassed over looking all "walk of shame". Then my best friend called me, since she had woken up and seen both my friend tried to call her several times, and that she had missing calls from the hospital as well. I explained everything to her, and said i was fine and nearly home. Also had to text my brother to say i was fine in case he checked out the number and got worried because someone from the hospital had tried to reach him.

Tick-tock, nearly eight o'clock. My bed. My sweet, sweet bed! Sleep. Wonderful sleep! <3

One small week, ive been away on holidays, and within that week several things happened. We lost many of our recruits to the 25 man team Eden, our GM decided he wanted to focus on RL more than WoW, and several others decided enough was enough. So now things are falling apart pretty much. Some have been cancelling their subscription, some taking breaks, some will transfer and some will delete their characters.

What about me then? Which one of those boxes willi fit into? Who knows. Im giving up on Eden and have explained why, to the other RL's, and anything else than that is uncertain atm. All the other assisting RL's seem to join me in the desicion to let things go, so i dont think there's any hate at least.

In this writing moment, i dont know when my subscription will run out. I also dont know if i will let it continue or if i see it more fitting to just cancel it. Ive played this game for nearly five years, seen most things, done most things.. Been on top, been casual, rocked PvE content, been decent at PvP.. Seen most rare, hidden and "secret" places, collected shitloads of pets, and not too few mounts either. Ive made friends and enemies, laughed and cried. Things have been good, all in all, but it has also robbed me of something more important: the will to do something IRL.

Yeah, cus i planned my RL around WoW for quite a while. "Sorry i cant join you for dinner tonight, i have a raid" Thats not cool when you're a single, 25 year old girl. Also, WoW is inevitably making me lazy, and sitting in front of the computer all day long doesnt exactly help me get fit. Maybe ill start to actually work out more. I might have some secret thoughts about why, but that is irrelevant in the big picture!

Then what will i do when im alone in my flat at night, with a TV smaller than a shoebox? Maybe read more books again, or just wach something on the shoebox. Or a movie on the computer, or a TV-show.. Or hang out with my friend, or go have a beer with someone. Go on a date? ;)

We shall see, my friends! And with "my friends", i obviously aim at Jal, who i thinkis like my only reader atm!? :D Maybe ill have this blog be all IRL'ish again, but then ofc i have the other blog for that, hmm.. Maybe i should make an entirely new one? Im lazy, and setting up designs on this hillbilly blog platform takes its toll, im telling you.

Anyway, im done writing this nonsense now! Tomorrow im back from Spain, and then ill see whether or not im starting a new life, or continue to sit in Stormwind like an authistic kid, night after night after night after night after..

Cant update much now, as im in Spain for the time being! Im having a good but slack time, while it seems like my raid group is falling apart back home. Ack! Still, while im slacking in the sun with unlimited flow of sangria, beer, wine, more wine, booze and coke zero, i cant really manage to care. It all seems really far away right now. If it does fall to pieces, i think i might have to just quit WoW. I dont want to play without raiding, and there's no future for me in the guild anymore if this 25 man team wont work :(

Maybe we'll transfer as a group, maybe people will split up and transfer one by one. Maybe some will go back to 10 man, i have no clue. Back to 10 man isnt really tempting anymore. 25 man is epic, 10 man is casual, thats just how it is for people who's been playing this game for more than Wrath :p

Anyway, now what to write about? Hmm.. I can link a few pics, yes i can!!
Squid, squid, squid.

Ok, im giving this yet another try. I do like blogging, i just never seem to have enough WoW stuff to blog about. And the whole idea about this blog was actually having WoW stuff in it. Then i realised i dont really want to only write about WoW, and i cba to maintain two blogs, so yeah, im opening this up to a bit of both. Lets see how successful that will be. One can never know!

So to begin with i can update you on where i am in-game atm. Currently im on what seems to be the worse server in the world, Terokkar EU! Despite the server being utter shit, i suprisingly like it here. The guild is nice, and we finally seem to get our new 25 man raid team rolling. Maybe i need to explain that, since most guilds are well, a guild with one raid team. This guild, however, has several raid teams, but it has mostly been 10 mans. Since a couple of the 10 man teams were struggling with getting enough people for a raid, we decided to merge and recruit, and Eden was born! Currently we are at 10/12, but hoping for Nefarian pretty soon. Tonight, in fact!

So this is the guild after we dinged level 25 as the first one on the server:

And this is one of the killshots we did recently:

Yeah i know, we totally suck at getting nice killshots..

Anyway, nice to be back, if i can call it that. And if i stay back, that is :p Maybe i even get some new readers. Probably gonna need it, because i doubt any of the old ones even remember this blog, thats how long its been dead :<

Those of you who have known me (in-game) for a while, know that i have been slightly obsessed with the mount from Stratholme. Also, you know that this obsession started early. Very early. Probably like 3 years ago or something, i cant remember. But during TBC at some point at least. I couldnt solo at first, so had to go there with a friend, and ofc this limited effective farm time. Luckily i had friends who actually bothered to waste some time on this, so we managed to kill the guy quite often in periods. Also, the more gear i got, the "easier" i could solo. Read easy as in "barely doable" and it took forever. Forever, i tell ye.

Also you got to remember that balance druid wasnt always as viable as they are today. Now, people wont question you as a boomkin, but back then, people almost took you for riding the loco-train if you had a balance spec. Especially in raids. Anyway, i mostly had the same helpful solo things that i have today (barkskin, tree, hots), and the trees could dish out somewhat okay damage, BUT there was one problem. The trees couldnt be controlled like they can today. So when they had nuked my target to bits, they would act all ber-bloodthirsty and go on a pulling (not killing) frenzy. Most of the times it ended up with them pulling 13 mobs, then dying, then leaving all mobs to me. Especially i loved the spiders that silences. Mmmm, chain silence + 10 melee mobs = recipe for disaster.

I tried and tried and tried. And died and died and died. God know how many times ive died in Stratholme for that stupid mount. And when i finally managed to kill the mini bosses and dodge trash, i struggled with the abominations before the slaughterhouse. And then i struggled like fuck with Baron Rivendare himself. Died a lot there, i did.

And as if that wasnt enough, when i got quicker on trash, the big abom boss used to bug out. As in never actually coming out. I could hear him yelling, but since the door failed to open, he wouldnt come out and i had to a) ticket and wait for a GM, or b) run out and reset. And do the awful trash again. Since GMs werent nearly extinct back then, i usually went with option a). And one time the GM even came into Strat, fooled around in furbolg costume and turned me into a gnome and a pirate and what not. And then he watched me fail horribly at Baron. But he was cool, so he ressed me and let me go again, wooo! No mount though, no mount..

Then, one day Blizzard decided to up the drop rate on this mount. "Great" i thought, "finally i have a better chance". Yeah right, rofl. I watched nearly all of my guildies run in and get it in like 1-5 kills. Like seriously FML. Seriously. That was so lame, you have no idea. And most of them were people who knew i was obsessed, and they like "lol drop rate went up, im gonna go own you now Lunaire". And they did. Even my GM said "1000g bet that i get it in the first run". 15 minutes later i was 1k gold richer. And much more pissed off.

Neutral. Friendly. Honored. Exalted. Drop rate upped. Quicker runs. More kills. More frustration. Giving up.

Until lately, i mostly sent bad karma that way, and didnt even bother to go in. I did Sethekk Halls and MgT (FU hawkstrider and blood elf item which ive also searched for since BC and never even seen drop). Still no luck there. But i was in a good mood and said to myself after 2 others got some mounts, or at least someone in guild got the hawkstrider "Im gonna go to Kara now, and i deserve a horse, so it will drop today". Well guess what, it didnt. But i still wasnt put down for some odd reason, so i thought "ok, Rivendare, one more me killing you dead".

And WHAT THE FUCKADOODLE??????

Whaddyaknow?? A blog post! Damn, has been a good while since the last one. I just hit the blog wall, or something like that. So whats happened since the last time i gave you sweet, sweet updates?

I was horde, then i was ally nelf, and now im ally worgen. Hopping servers trying to find a guild i can settle in, and hopefully ive found it now. The server progress is awful compared to the other realms ive been on (sorry guys, it really is), but tradechat is readable and people are in general much nicer here! I liked to be able to pug anything, hardmode or not, but then again, i like nice people too.

My guild is now Jane Doe on Terokkar EU, and im in a raid group called Mutilate. Thats right, this guild has several raid teams, like guilds within the guild! Also with this many members we level quickly and there's someting for everyone, which is good.

Hmm, well.. Ill see if i maybe start to update this blog more regularely again. Probably down to 0 readers now too, so just have to wait and see :p

Yep, this is me now.

After a long summer with hardly any progress at all, im pleased to announce that RMV has laid both the professor and the dragon to rest this reset! We nailed Putricide thursday and Sindragosa today. I feel we're back on track, and im happy i didnt leave the guild a few weeks ago, which i was really close to doing. Will be hard to find a guild as good as this that only raids 2 days a week, so i want to stay as long as we dont fall apart!

Well, yeah, nothing else to update, pics to follow:

Results May Vary has proven itself worthy of its name, but what else can you expect from a guild that raids only 2 days a week. Key persons missing one of the raids, someone not on the top of their game, lots of things can happen as we then struggle with half of the designated raid time. Next stop is Halion heroic, and i hope we wont wipe for as long there as we have did on these two bastards!

The new raid instance was released when i was on holiday, but since we only raid twice a week the guild hadnt done it yet when i came back. On monday we went there after LK and it only took us a few tries to get a kill. The fight isnt too bad imo. Got the classical dragon shiz, dont find yourself stuck up his ass or nostrils, move out of fire and run away when bad stuff happens. And of course it includes portals as the Sartharion encounter. Have seen a few dragons in WoW by now, and i think this is around the middle of my Dragon Coolness Scale.

1. Kalecgos
2. Felmyst
3. Sartharion
3. Halion
4. Nightbane
5. Onyxia
6. Malygos
7. Sindragosa

Malygos was annoying. Really annoying. Booo! Kalecgos was cool, and Felmyst too! Sindragosa is awfully boring. Even on heroic its turning my brain into mush, gah, how i hate her!!

Maybe i forgot some dragons now, but well, so be it. Also the pit lords are dragon-ish, but only in looks!

Nice kill on the last one, right?? :D Dragons, either you love them or hate them.

RealID will be used on forums. You post something, and your name will show. There, now i said it. Personally i dont give a shit. My name isnt that unusual, and either way i dont really care if someone sees it. Random people hear it when i call someone while on the bus, and introduce myself. Or maybe they are behind me in some queue somewhere, and see me fill in papers with my name on it. Or maybe a random person overhears me presenting myself to someone. Now, people IRL and online arent the same, you say. But still, people IRL can be as bad (or good) as onliners. Not everyone online is a nutter, and while you certainly do have them around, they are present IRL too.

Okay, enough on that topic, im tired of it already, after Twitter have been flooded with pros and cons all day now. I understand that some people dread this, and that they dont want their name in the open. Also some arent allowed to post on forums under their real name due to work conflicts. And some are perhaps just scared of 12 year olds googling them after getting ganked, and then receive poop in the mail after having their adress looked up. I dont know. I guess we'll have to wait and see how this turns out. Will be a shame if many of the good contributers we have would bail. People who come up with guides and realm introductions, those keeping statistics and progress lists. I would miss those, but if people make a choice not to post, thats something that has to be respected, and its up to the rest of us to carry it on. Maybe they can contact someone who wont mind their ID out who can post it on their behalf, and ofc leave a link to their blog or Twitter account, or simply their armory link? That wouldnt be so bad :)

On a totally different note, here and here is the pictures from my holiday if anyone is interested. Its an awful lot, so dont come whine to me afterwords, when you got tired of looking at me under bridges ten times, or looking at Glastonbury crowds innummerous times as well. Enjoy or dont, simple as that ^^ Have a nice evening all. And damn you Blizzard for taking my realm down ALL DAY when i have a day off. Guess i can spend some time cleaning up my flat. At the moment it looks like something Fry would move into, and then you can imagine. If you cant, then you havent watched enough Futurama. And if you havent, shame on you!

Things have been rather silent lately, and not all of it was due to me entering the huge blog desert that sucks your blog energy away. I was tired of the game, of myself, of everything, and i felt i had nothing to blog about really. Of course i did have stuff i could write about, but i just didnt care. I wanted to quit raiding because it drained me and left me in a bad mood, but in the end of the day i do like to raid, and i do like this guild, so i guess a couple of morons cant take that away from me!

But, the absence wasnt only boredom, ive been on holiday as well. London, Glastonbury, London, Cambridge, London. Phew! Have been a good two weeks, but now im ready for my own bed, my computer, WoW and everything else that is home to me. Hopefully this have given me a fresh start when it comes to the blog, as i was so sad i didnt update more frequently lately. I love this blog, so i wont give it up. Also, there are so many interesting new things incoming to the game, so there should be plently of material to chose from!

Now im crossing my fingers for a beta key. Probably wont get one, like last year, as in always unlucky with that, but hey, can always hope. I did have beta last year, however, as someone handed me a key anyway, cough cough :p Maybe ill get bored of beta as soon as ive seen all the new stuff, who knows. Im more curious than passionate.

So, end of post. Wonder if a certain french dude ordered the SCII CE box?? ;)

Pushed shit dps, like really shit. And no cloth dropped at all. I mean hello, nothing at all?? Ive been busy with guests the whole week so havent had time to play much. And also, theres raid, raid and raid. Im so very tired of it and i will cut down on a few things soon. Today its exactly one week til im leaving, and then im away for 2 weeks holiday. After that, LK 10 HC better die, else i have to just face that i wont see that fight end well. No energy left for ICC25 after all the 10 mans. 10 mans are supposed to be fun, but it havent been in ages. The alt run yesterday was, even though we wiped a fair bit. It was all okay, since it was alts.

Anyway, need to run for work now, take care all!

Guess it didnt. The blog i mean. It was on its way to a slow death, but that would admittedly be quite sad. So what have i been doing lately?

Christalynn, my former baby warlock is now a fully grown warlock. Even got some epics. Not many, not imba ones, but its epics. Hello, epics? She has two specs, demo and destro, and even though people claim destro to be easier, i prefer demo. Im a bad demon, yeah!

Guild is working on Sindragosa 25H atm, best try was 16% but then we lost focus and in the end had to kill her normal and move on. Hope she's going down next week! Then it would only be PP left (not counting LK really). The 10 mans only have LK-H left, and i think he will go down soon enough. Sadly ive been quite busy IRL so i couldnt come friday and yesterday. And not tonight. And not friday. Suuuucks!

And soon, im off to England for 2 weeks, so then bai raiding for a bit. Gonna lose all my attendance, boo.

Anyway. Hope i can find some motivation to start updating more often again. Until then, see you!

So, im still banging my head against the wall when it comes to blog updates. No energy left for blogging, and the sad part is that i dont even feel like i can read other blogs either. I watch my feeder and the mini-feed within blogg.no, and i see topics that seems interesting, but i just cannot get myself to click the links and actually read them.

Bummed.

Can at least throw in an update on guild progress. We're working on Lady Deathwisper heroic on 25-man, and LK heroic on 10-man. Most of us 10-man crew members have now got their mounts, so thats cool! Several got it yesterday, and me and two others got it today. Its a pretty cool mount, i have to admit.

I was in London this weekend, as some of you might know, and the trip was nice. I got terribly sunburned, rented a rowing boat in Hyde Park, strolled around British Museum alone and drak lots of blended caramel frappuchinos from Starbucks. Also, we went to Rainforest Cafe (typical family place where kids have their birthday parties etc) and ordered a pitcher of sangria. And then we walked out pretty tipsy and satisfied, because it was damn good sangria as well!

Well, now i cant be bothered with writing more. I hope i didnt lose all my readers :( I promise to blog more when im back to my normal self again! Now: picture time!

And some pics from London as well :)

This is my awful sunburn, accompanied by a grumpy face as a response to PAIN!

A mandatory tourist pic, in front of Buckingham Palace.
Ironforge Airport and Old Ironforge

Yesterday i did some exploring again, and was thrilled to find out that you can still visit Ironforge Airport and Old Ironforge! Went to the Airport with a guildie (and also visited the highest mountain top above Ironforge), and later on i went into Old Ironforge alone. Had to log a gnome on some other server, else it wouldn't have worked, sadly. I have been writing a blog post a while ago about something similar, but the old one also got some other places in it too. You can check it out here.

Yesterday in pictures

This is us at the highest point. Note the flag placed by the Explorers' League (also known as the Explorers' Guild). Seems them dwarves didn't only explore places under the earths surface, or places filled with titans and er something. Thanks to Greyseer for providing me with this information. I had never been here as a horde before, so was suprised when a guard suddenly ran up the hill to kill us. Well, he tried at least.

I had to take this screenshot as it is pretty much identical to the one i took on my first visit :D You can see the original one here.

On our way down to the farms beneath the Airport, we both died a horrible death and had to try to get back up. That, we didn't. Hello auto unstuck, time to get to the Spirit Healer. Allthough we used it at the same spot, he got teleported to somewhere in Wetlands, while i got the graveyard outside Ironforge. Weird.

So, my other trip of the day. Old Ironforge! This is one of my favourite places in-game. Together with the Airport i mean. The thought of Blizzard adding these hidden things are quite cool, and i have to say i like exploring them. Right before i went through the wall it looked like this (picture above and under, just two different angles).

I didn't take any pictures inside, dont ask me why. I made a move though! And im logged out there, so gonna take some screenies too i guess.

Then the last thing that happened. I commented on a twitter update about something, and someone else replied with RAFO something. I was clueless, but it got me thinking about the Recruit a Friend thing, so randomly i checked that site. And bam, i had a mount to claim :o This friend was recruited in August 2008, and he stopped playing after a month or so, as it was his second account. I tried to convince him to pay for one more month so i could get the mount, but after a while i didnt get anywhere with him so i gave up. Seems he payed after all, but didnt tell me, lol. Too bad i didnt know a little earlier so i could get the zhevra and the rocket. As i think you could get both from one referral, or? Dont know. The rocket is cool at least, i can carry a guy with me! :D And of course, i can eject him mid-air, bwahahahaa!!

The Old Ironforge Tour

My video editing skillz are strictly limited, and i only use Windows Live Movie Maker, so well, its not gonna get an Oscar for directing, acting or anything else in the near future. But that wasnt the point either, the point was just to show the place :)

Have you been to any of these places? If so, which place did you enjoy the most? Or if you havent been to anywhere "hidden", where would you like to go?

Some of us enjoyed it more than others, but in the end of the day, I think most of us are too busy to truly appreciate our surroundings when we are out and about. I have not had any buisness in Outland for a long, long time, and to be honest, when i did spend day after day there, I never really took my time just sucking in all the different impression this place gives you. I wanted to come back, now that I am getting so used to all the stunningly beautiful nature Northrend provides. Have i gone blind for what Outland offers, or can the place still give me the chills if i go to the right places?

To find out, i took the portal from Dalaran to Shattrath City. Very convenient, that one. I do have to admit that i could also have used the Blessed Medallion of Karabor to start out at Black Temple, but I thought starting in the city was more fitting, if you get what I mean. So then I suddenly found myself in Shattrath once again. Can not say I have had any desires to come here again after I spent so much time here a while back, but I had to start somewhere.

So which place would I first visit? Maybe a place that really brings back memories. Back when Shattrath was the city "everyone" were at, I often flew out to fish in the high lakes of Terokkar Forest. Not only did I make a profit of fishing and cooking nice and useful meals, I was also on the hunt for the mysterious Mr. Pinchy. Rumors had it that if you managed to fish up Mr. Pinchy, he would grant you three wishes. I remember I was eager to find out if this was true or not, so i spent hour upon hour at the lakes to find out. I can still remember the day he suddenly came up from the water with my bobber in his claw. "Be careful with this, I'd prefer to keep my eyes intact, you know". I felt ashamed. Of course i had not thought about the fact that I could hurt him with my hook. But he was not mad. This was something he was used to, he could tell me, so I needed not to worry. Instead he proved the rumours true when he asked me to wish for something. I was not sure of what to wish for, so I asked for something that would aid me in combat. At that time, we worked really hard to clear up The Eye, and eventually get rid of Kael'thas the Sunstrider, so I thought that i would wish for something that would aid this great cause.

Long story short, he granted me things to help me, and this I found so convenient that i kept on fishing there even when I did not need anything spesific. I do not have a good explanation to what happened next, but after a few months, and several meetings, he told me he was tired of just staying down in the lake. I did not know what to say to this, but I proposed for him to come along as my companion, so he could get a chance to see the world outside the lake. "An exellent idea!" he said, and from that day on, he always followed me as one of my dearest companions.

So, that was the background story on why I chose this exact place on my trip to Terokkar Forest. I have to admit that I did not plan for this part to get so long, but I got a bit carried away. Well, let us move on to the next location I went to. I mounted up and chosed to cross the border to Shadowmoon Valley. There was a place I had not been in quite the long time, and since it was a place that had great influence on me as a person, it would be the perfect place to visit.

We flew east, over ruins and buring grounds, made a little stop at the top of the volcano known as Hand of Gul'dan, and then moved on to the destination I picked out for Shadowmoon Valley. The Black Temple, or the Temple of Karabor as it was once known as. The battles we fought at this place did not go all smooth, and both friends and foes lost lives in the battle against Illidan Stormrage. I remember how we worked our way through the sewers to enter the temple, and further on through the courtyard before we could enter the inner areas. Many obsticles were in the way, and the whole process of clearing up the temple took several months. But all of this is now history. We destroyed Illidan and moved on to other challenges, and the temple soon was nothing but a vast memory from the past. Yet, I always keep the medallion with me, to remind me of what once was. For the Outland tour, i flew up in front of the gates and made a little pose that I felt was only appropriate. Like a salute for my friends who were laid to rest because of the battle within the citadel.

The size of the temple still amaze me, and while coming back left me with mixed feelings, I could not spend the entire day there. It was time to move on, in every meaning. I mounted up again and headed north-west to reach Hellfire Peninsula. To fly this route has always called for chills, as flying through the Twisting Nether is not a very pleasent thing to do. But it is the shortest route after all, so with that much time saved, it was nothing else to do than summon inner strength and keep my mount calm, and we would eventually reach the edge of Hellfire.

As we were getting closer, I could not help but notice the sky above us. That has always been one of the prettiest things in all of Outland. The sky. All the beautiful colors, the distant planets and moons, the magnificent auroras and the storms high up through the sfere. It takes my breath away. Instead of visiting a spesific place in Hellfire Peninsula, I just wanted to look at the sky. I did that a lot back when I was around Ouland ages ago, and I have to say, it still impresses me as much now as it did back then. I would urge all of you to take the trip back to Outland now and then, just to look at the sky. How can someone not find this mind-soothing and calming for the soul?

It sure makes you think about how small and innoticable we are in this amazingly created world, does it not? I could sit on that mountain top forever, but there was simply not enough time for that. There were several zones left to visit, so I had to move on. Flying straight north i headed for Netherstorm. This called for another flight through the Twisting Nether, and this time we nearly got lost. Luckily we managed to find the right direction and reach Netherstorm, but it took a while. Once there, it only took me a short while to decide where to go. It had to be the Tempest Keep. So many memories attatched to that place. I chosed to fly up, do a little jump and get The Eye as the scenery view. Much time spent in Tempest Keep. Much more than i bargained for, but there were things to be done there, for the very best of all of Azeroth. Coming back did not leave a good taste in my mouth, and i did not stay for long.

If nothing else, this place is at least beautifully made. The architecture, colors and everything else has always made me gasp in awe. Great minds were behind this, that is for sure. When that is said, I am glad I dont have to enter that place ever again.

Next stop on the trip around Outland was Blade's Edge Mountains. I had no idea where to go when i reached the borders. Truth is that I never fancied this place. Not then, and sadly not now either. All the spiked mountains, the dirt and dust, ogres and vicious beasts. No, this place never catched me like some of the other places in Outland. Still, I was determined to visit one location in each zone, so there was no exception to this either. I randomly flew here and there, scouting for a good place to land. I chosed The Crystalspine and landed at Furywings Perch. No dragon around, so i decided to just do something silly here. The previous places i had visited were all full of memories, and some of them were far from pleasent.

One cannot be serious all the time, so I placed myself on one of the dragons eggs and made silly poses. If the hellboar nearby had enough brains to process what it saw, it would most likely shake its head and think "pff, tourists".

Playing with the egg was fun, but I could not stay the entire day. I mounted up once again, and headed south. Zangarmarsh was the next zone to visit, and here I did not have much problems finding a spot to visit. It had to be the Coilfang Reservoir. I jumped off the mount in flight, dived into the water and swam through the tunnel as I had been doing ack so many times before. When i reached the opening inside, i ran straight for the only entrance that mattered to me. The entrance to Serpentshrine Caverns. We laid the fearful Lady Vashj to rest here, and even though it was absolutely needed, I feel uneasy. There has been rumours related to the naga and their place in our world, and I am not sure that killing the lady would be appreciated amongst that kin. Time will show what this mean.

After showing off outside the entrance, i swam back out and called for my faithful mount once again. Together we flew to my favourite zone in all of Outland. How can anyone not like Nagrand? This lush place, so green and blue, with a healthy animal life compared to many of the other places in Outland. There was many places I could have visited here, but I had to make it easy for myself, so the choice fell on Garadar. The town lies between the Throne of Elements to the north-east and Halaa to the south-west. The surroundings are beautiful, both to the north towards the lake and even the town itself feels safe and likeable. Now, of course members of the Alliance will have problems reaching this spot, but you can still fly around the town, or high above it.

That was all for now. I hope you enjoyed reading, and maybe you want to take a trip around Outland yourself, to see what you did not see the last time you were there. It is so easy to be too focused to notice what is around you, and it really is a shame. The world we live in is far from dull and boring, so try to experience it while you can!

And if you wondered, use (or abuse) of Dire Brew is the reason why i look like i do here. I get easily tired of my looks, you see. Anything that transform you into something else for a limited amount of time, you can be sure i have some in my bags.

Oh how frustrated you can get when being in a raid that doesnt really work out well. Feels like there's been some issues here and there lately, and it makes me sit behind my screen feeling really sour and grumpy. I want to shout and yell on vent, and i dont even bother to pretend i like people. Being polite? Why should i, when people play like they have never set foot in a raid before. Sigh. Raid experience isnt something you buy on ebay or get from raiding ICC only. And ears, they are placed on your heads for a reason. To let sound flow into your head, transmit sounds to something your brain recognizes as meaningful sentences, and then use those words to expand your sense of what (and what not) to do.

Im not really motivated enough to blog lately, have been like this for a little while now. I hope it comes back, as i like to blog, but i just dont have any ideas atm. And i cba to write a blog post about nothing, just to write one, sort of.

Ah well. Tomorrow is WoW-free. Only beer and booze! Hah, thats at least never wrong. And if people annoy you IRL, at least you can slap them! Joking, but it sure is tempting now and then :p Im a bit awful like that. If someone did anything to annoy me, i hardly ever forget it. And if they didnt really even do anything to annoy me, and i still get annoyed, its the same thing. Horrible! Can stand in the queue at the supermarket and just look at someone and like "damn, he annoys me". And then he didnt do a thing, i just got annoyed by looking at him! I think i need to work on that, lol..

To finish with, i want to mention someone who doesnt annoy me! Phee!!! <3 Totally out of the blue she sent me this on msn:

So, that was really cute! Alliance-Phee waving to ex Alliance-Lunaire! Had to drop everything in my hands and wave back, the damn fish feast had to wait ^^

Boomkins can be silly cute at times. Times like these :)

That's what i call it when the blogging dries up for a little while. I have an old friend sneaking up on me, work starts to wear on me, and im stressing with other stuff as well. The time just seem to run away! At least i got my alt up one more level yesterday, but she's also been stuck for a while now. I dont do anything at all on my main except raids, feels like there's not enough time. There are time of course, but i spend it sleeping mostly. Work, come home, sleep, raid, sleep, rinse and repeat.

Im 20 days away from payday and im broke. Exellent!

Ok, this picture had nothing to do with anything, i just added some random picture because it would make the post look better! Tonight is raid night. As we tried Saurfang heroic thursday (i wanted to kill myself slowly), i dont think there will be any progress stuff tonight. So i just hope for a swift, painless raid that ends early. Now that would've been sweet! Also i got the day off work tomorrow, yay!
