If you are a creator you need to follow these steps to make sure you know how to handle this type of situation. With new AI software more and more accounts are being flagged and disabled. Some people don’t ever recover their account. So please take this serious.

STEPS TO FOLLOW AS A CREATOR

-Create a newsletter for your community. If your account is disabled or something goes wrong with any of your social platforms make sure you can send out a newsletter so people know where to find you.

-Create a back up instagram. Start one now and make it your shop page. Sell clothes on it or call it your back up account. Start sharing it once a month so loyal followers know they can find you there.

-If you are a creator and use LTK make sure to let them know what happened. They now have a direct portal to instagram and can speed the process up. This is huge!

-Reach out to your community or other creators and ask to keep Meta contacts on file. Trust me this is extremely helpful to know a few people that work for Meta. I now have 3 contacts of women that worked hard for me to get my account back. They can speed up the process.

WHAT TO AVOID SAYING ON INSTAGRAM

My account was flagged for counterfeit. I received a pop up saying I broke the community guidelines. I used the phrase “inspired by Prada” and my account was gone in seconds. New AI software picks up on this verbiage and flags accounts.  So many mistakes are being made and it is super frustrating. In the future I won’t use any phrase like this. I’m trying to come up with another way to share look for less.  Stay away from anything like this. DO NOT EVER TYPE IT OUT on stories.

-cheaper than designer

-dupe

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT

-set up 2 step verification

-sign up for the meta verified monthly subscription (you get pre-approved for being an honest account) they said this helped me get my account back faster than others

-Purchase social media insurance. I’ve heard Notch is good.

-Have an attorney that works in the digital creative space on your team or keep in your contacts. Reach out and have an intro call and go over things like this. Have a plan in case something like this happens.

My goal was to pick up pieces that could be worn to the beach (like this one piece – so cute!) but could also be styled easily for lunch, or any other activities we had planned. The best part about this one-piece is it stays in place so during family activities you feel comfortable.

Swimwear

Swimwear is essential for any beach vacation. Since we were in Costa Rica with the kids, I opted for my favorite one-piece bathing suit brand from Nordstrom, La Blanca.

Their suits are really great quality, fit true to size, and are SO flattering. I packed this one piece to wear with these cover-up pants. So perfect for going from the beach to lunch!

Cover-Ups

While I love my denim shorts, they can be a pain at the beach if they get sandy or wet. Thankfully, Nordstrom has a great collection of cute cover-ups to pick from. I usually opt for black just because they are easy to style with any suit and they look more like everyday clothing versus a cover-up. For this trip, I packed this off-the-shoulder dress, my favorite cover-up pants, and this v-back dress.

Hats & Accessories

I love a good accessory! Whether it’s a hat, sunglasses, or a good pair of shoes, a good accessory can instantly transform any look. Since my vacation style is on the casual side, I love pairing my beach looks with a fun sandal like this pair or this pair. I also love a good hat – they’re chic and offer protection from the sun. On our trip to Costa Rica, I wore this one non-stop.

Even if you’re not planning a beach vacation any time soon, now is the perfect time to stock up on all of your warm-weather essentials at Nordstrom. I always say it’s easier to shop ahead of time and be prepared than do last-minute shopping! Plus, Nordstrom makes it so easy to find everything you need, whether you shop in-store or online.

Did you guys know that Walmart offers online grocery orders with curbside pick up? I love to use all their private brands without having to spend a fortune on groceries. All of the food is economically sourced providing organic and, vegan and gluten-free options which is a huge plus for me!

Now for the fun part! We decided to make Caramel apples from scratch to kick off Fall. The caramel is so good. I’m going to use it now on top of popcorn because it’s so easy to make.

14oz sweetened condensed milk

2.5 cups sugar

1 cup light corn syrup

2 tsp vanilla

Combine everything in microwave safe bowl. For 20 minutes cook in microwave stirring every 5 minutes to make sure it doesn’t burn at bottom.

Walmart has all the best finds to get your kids ready for back to school! Everything starts at fifteen cents!! I love the homework cart we bought in this POST.
