Gian Paolo Barbieri Exibition At Paul Smith Albemarle Street

Today I have a relax afternoon with my friend for a tea near Albemarle Street. After tea, we have been to the The Royal Arcade. The shops in The Royal Arcade are mainly galleries, shoemakers and shirtmakers.

On my way back, I have walked pass the Paul Smith Albemarle Street which is Paul Smith's newest London shop sells art, antiques jewellery and furniture. Currently it is having Gian Paolo Barbieri Exibition.

Gian Paolo Barbieri has joined Italian Vogue in 1965 and produced the cover of its first issue. He has worked with Italian, French, American and German editions of Vogue. He has photographed some of the world's great beauties including Monica Bellucci, Audrey Hepburn, Anjelica Huston, Iman and Jerry Hall.

Paul Smith is exhibiting 15 of his photographs comprises eight fashion images and seven 'ethnic' archive. Apart from the exhibition, the antique furniture and sculpture are very impressive.

Dior Homme Belt with Eagle Buckle

Eagle is another Dior Homme signature. I have seen eagle appearing in jewelleries, t-shirts and so on. This is a belt from from Hedi with a massive eagle belt buckle with brass colour that gives a kind of vintage look which is easily match up with anything. The belt buckle is fitted in place by hook that located at the back of the wing.

The belt is made in Italy. The belt loop is embossed DIOR HOMME. The massive belt buckle really glam up your look no matter what you are wearing.

To be very honest, I'm not a big fan of T-shirts. I find it sometimes like of spirit, but certainly not this one - Dior Homme skeleton angel wing t-shirt. The print is identical to the one printed on hoodie. It is made in 100% cotton. The strange thing is that I do not understand why Dior Homme has started making their T-shirts in Turkey rather than their usual Italy. Maybe they are cutting cost? Well, even the very expert sale assistant cannot understand. The reference number is 7H3362890091 - 806.

In any case, I just have to have them! A great piece to layer with my jacket and skinny scarf.....

I always go to bed very late even I need to wake up early sometimes. Today I woke up at 9-ish then I find my girlfriend has gone to work. She has left me this surprise Ferrero Rocher with a post it note "Fancy a Ferrero?". I can't remember when was the last time I gave her any surprise. If you can think of any, please let me know. I need a BIG surprise idea..

I am a big fan of chocolate, indeed Ferrero is my favourite high street chocolate. Suddenly I am wondering if I had Ferrero all day, how many I can have to not exceed daily calories requirement? I found this interesting fact - One Ferrero Rocher contains 73.33 calories. If my daily calories consumption is 2000 calories, I can only have 27 pieces.

Ferrero contain a whole roasted hazelnut encased in a thin wafer shell filled with nutella/hazelnut cream and covered in milk chocolate and chopped hazelnuts.

Ferrero SpA has started their business since 1946 and currently has a lot of other products like Nutella, Kinder Chocolate Bar.

I will be going out for a meal tomorrow, so I am just thinking about what to wear. I have just seen my lovely Dior Homme Jacket still hanging brand new in the wardrobe. It is a slim cut pinstripe jacket. Dior Homme is quite fitted, so it can be worn dressed up or dressed down. I like to wear it over a t-shirt with jeans and trainers for casual, or with trousers and formal shoes for a night out.

It is made in Italy using 50% wool and 50% polyester. The polyester is required for the shimmer purpose. Under the light, the jacket will make you as a centre of attention as it will make you glow.

Here is another amazing piece from Dior Homme that I like to share with you. A tuxedo coat from SS06 with embroidered golden dragon all over. It is made in Italy using 75% acetate and 25% silk. The reference code is 6EH2028077. The cut shows your body form beautifully and the luxurious colour will put you on the spotlight wherever you go.

It has been seen worn by Karl Lagerfeld during Chanel SS06 couture show in March 2006.

Lazy Sunday in Hampstead

Yesterday, I had a lazy Sunday. I lied in bed till 11:00 then I received a phone call from one of my friend asking me out for lunch. I need a lot of sleep as I don't sleep much during weekdays, but I manage get up and enjoy rest of my Sunday.

We had a meal together in Hampstead. There is not as much people on the street after a shower. I walked across the road and I saw a car driving towards me, I quickly take a snap of that scene. I like the way the road being built, teamed with the red car towards me.

After the meal, I have passed by the Hamspead Heath where I stopped to have a walk. I sat at the benches by the Hampstead Ponds. There are a lot of birds swimming in the ponds and also some pigeons looking for food. I gave them some bread, in return, they posed nicely where I took some pictures of them.

From the view, I can also see a swan swimming. We all need to be a swan. An elegant swan swimming up stream, one who looks beautiful and serene on the surface and underneath, is paddling away like made to stop being pulled backwards downstream with the flow of the water in the opposite direction.

Loose Change

Early in the morning, I have been to Sainsbury's to get some milk. When I got home, I just empty my pocket and put the loose change into the drawer. My drawer is full of coins, so I thought I might just clear them out or just give them to charity.

Upon counting, there are altogether over £60 in loose change!!

I remember I read about an article saying Britons have £1bn lying idle in UK's 24.7 million households. In the study, men lost most money at home, nearly three quarter of total. While Londoners were the biggest losers in the country, which were £121. To help households keep track of their cash, the survey suggests people put all their loose change in one jar or pot.

You can also bring all the loose change to some major supermarket where you can find a coinstar machine. The machine will count all the coins for you with little commission. You then can choose either give them to charity or print out a voucher to use it in store.

This is one of the most expensive jackets that I have ever bought. It is from Dior Homme SS2006. It is made in Italy with extremely soft lambskin. Throughout the jacket, you can see so many details from the metal zip to leather strips.

There are several leather strips on the collar that you can tie them up or wear them loose. There are also several metal zips throughout - 2 at the front vertically and 4 zipped pockets. There are also zip on the shoulder loop. All zip pull are embossed with Dior Homme. The item number is 6EH5042916 and it is made in Italy. The retail price in the UK is over £1000.

In SS2007, there is another heart beating leather jacket with lots of rocking details throughout. Apart from the bold quilted details at the front, there are also a lot of zips and pockets. As usual, there are a lot of zips, pockets, shoulder loop. The difference are the zips are in silver colour, there are more buttons and pockets. It is more like a motorcycle jacket as there are more hidden zips on the front and on the sleeves. Apart from the usual embossed Dior Homme on the zip pull, there is an additional piece of leather that attached to the zip pull.

On the back of the jacket, there is a metal loop with embossed Dior Homme. This leather jacket is made in France, so the retail price is much higher than the usual "Made In Italy" version. The retail price has gone over GBP2000 in the UK. The item number is 7E3540050002. When I go through my wardrobe, I found this jacket that I have not worn for a while. It is now getting warmer and I can wear this again.. It is from SS06. It has a structured feel but it is 100% silk. The item number is 6EH1047979. There are zip details on the shoulder, with embossed Dior Homme. It has two zipped pockets at the front. The print is similar to snake skin.

It has been seen worn by many celebs including Brandon Flowers from The Killers. He has worn it in many appearance, even on stage. I have another one in the same season which is in luster silver.

Dior Homme Bumble Bee

Bumble bee has been trademark by Dior and has been used for many seasons. Most bumble bee can be found in jewellery from necklaces to wristbands; from 3D sterling silver to plastic. It can also be found in some clothing as a embroidered bumble bee from beanie hat, T-shirts, sweatshirt, ties and so on.

Since it is so popular, there are some counterfeit around. Only buy from trustworthy seller and examine the embroidered bumble bee closely. My pictures are taken from the authentic Dior Homme items.

Apart from all clear ones, there is another version of colour one - a mixture of black, clear and brown. I think there is another version of silver one as well.

The beanie hat below is from AW07. The item number is 7H3490170016 - 805. It is made in Italy in 100% wool. It does come in black as well. If you do not like to show the bumble bee, you can wear the it inside out, but you will need to cut off the Dior tag.

I have a bumble bee khaki hooded sweatshirt in size M. It is made in Italy in 100% cotton. It has a embroidered bumble bee in black at bottom right hand corner. The item number is 7H3362760001 - 602. Bumble bee is so unique and striking.

Snowing in London

Today is 6th April, and it is snowing. I did heard that it will be sleety shower over night but I didn't expecting a heavy snow. It reminds me the big freeze of 63 in which the whole country being under subzero degree Celsius (°C) for two consecutive months.

I wish I could be in that year, it might be so much fun. I can find excuse not to go to school, or go to work. But if I really think about it, I am so lucky not to experience that..

So today I have to stay in underneath the duvet, or in front of fireplace with a cup of nice warm tea. I do love snow, it is so beautiful and peaceful. Watching some children plyaing with the snow, I wish I could join them. I dislike the ice when the snow starts melting, which might be dangerous.

I have read the news and it says the worst hit of snow is in North England in County Durham and Northumberland where the snow is 6cm (1.8 inch) in place. It might be more snow to come.

Dior Homme Sterling Silver Ring

I just found this ring which is a Dior Homme 925 sterling silver ring in gold tone. When I first see the ring in the display, they are so catchy due to the colour and the way the rings being looped together. The DIOR is embossed on one of the rings. The 925 sterling silver hall mark is also stamped on one of the ring.

There are 7 individual rings that needed to be put together sequentially to become one. The sales assistant did show me how to do it, but it does take me few minutes to work out and perform it.

Very unusual piece!

Dior Homme Forget Me Not Jewellery - Necklace, Ring, Bangle

Dior Homme's "Forget Me Not" is such an everlasting slogan that appear in their t-shirts, necklace, ring, bangle and pendants.

I have seen Russell Brand wearing a Dior Homme "Forget Me Not" necklace wherever he goes. Until now, the necklace is the most wanted piece in the Dior "FMN". I have come across the necklace, if possible, I will post some pictures later. But now, I have found a "FMN" bangle which is in 925 sterling silver.

The design of the bangle is the banner with "FORGET ME NOT" embossed on the front. The bangle only come one size that fits more wrists. DIOR HOMME is embossed on one end and sterling silver hallmark on the other.

I have just found the necklace with the "Forget Me Not" pendant, the identical one worn by Russell Brand. Beside it has a stylish pendant, there are two little words "me" and "you" that being tied together at the spring clasp. I do believe it is a sign of "Love". If you love someone, you want him/her to "forget me not" and tie both of you together. If you are familiar with that necklace, you will know the tiny little details which are hiding behind the neck if someone is wearing it.

Dior Homme Star Pendant Chocker Necklace

Recently I have found a piece of the Dior Homme star pendant necklace. It is one of a kind piece from A/W 07. It is one of few pieces from Hedi. The whole necklace consists 2 stars and a shooting star pendant. The DIOR HOMME is embossed on the pendant. There is also usual CD PARIS marking around the toggle of necklace.
