Let’s get one thing straight: I’ve been a Teen Vogue reader since I was twelve, so imagine my excitement when I get an e-mail from one of the editors asking if she can come over my house to photograph my room. My automatic response was something in the lines of an ecstatic “Of course!” More accurately it was probably a lot more “California” than that and it came out as a series of fluster and a single coherent “Totally!” Fast forward two weeks later, my room is spic and span! Admittedly, it’s the most organized it’s been for weeks. In this interview segment with Teen Vogue, I get to share with you some of my most personal sentiments. This includes my record collection, my books, my mementos, my gifts from friends, and last but not least, my closet. And for a nostalgic moment, it was just last year I shared my first interview with Teen Vogue. Thank you to Naomi and Ye Rin for coming over to photograph me, and Casey Lewis for the kind words on the write-up. It all would’t have been possible with out you girls, so thank you! You can catch a glimpse of my bedroom here, I hope you guys like it.

Apologies for the extended hiatus on the shop, but have no fear, there’s a massive new update over at The Caravan! Bringing you loads of new vintage treasures from some coastal road trips, namely designer pieces such as Halston Heritage and Fendi and one of a kind floor gazing kimonos, pastel blouses, jumpers and sequined clutches. Peek the new arrivals here. I’m also going to jump the gun before someone else says it, but I got a haircut halfway throughout shooting these product shots. Five inches and a few metaphoric tears later, come forth spring I can’t hardly wait to swish around longer, healthier hair. I’ve never been a fan of short hair on myself. Next up: the resort lookbook. Stay tuned!

Don’t mean to constantly overwhelm you guys with sun soaked photos shot during dusk, but four to six seems to be the only window of time after work, school, or a day of meetings and errands in which I find time to linger around a parking lot with one of my friends and coerced “photographer” for the day. This print over clash is all from Club Monaco’s newest collection and a preview of  a new rampage I’ve begun in mixing and layering monochromatic tones in clashing prints and textures. In this segment of sartorial gluttony, too much print is never a bad thing. Especially when it comes in the form of this silk staple Shawna blouse. You can always depend on Club Monaco for curating collections that can produce the most pleasant mismatchings. 

A sneak peek of what’s to come in The Caravan shop next week. Tons of resort-inspired vintage, mint white blouses, dresses with gold adornments and much more heading your way! I shot these photos in one of the most polarizing streets of downtown San Francisco. Polarizing in the sense that one direction of Market street houses some of the largest names in retail and department stores yet a few steps down the wrong block you will find yourself neck-deep among the homeless in just a matter of seconds. Now if only these photos can reproduce the inappropriate background hollers…

Hey guys! I’m finally home from a 5 day excursion to San Francisco. Above I took some quick snapshots in front of the Bay Bridge before heading out to dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf. I decided to play with this short hair look when my hair accidentally got caught into my cardigan, but ultimately I kept it after deciding  I liked it better in the faux crop anyway. I did a tremendous amount of vintage hauling for The Caravan along with shopping for my own personal closet and even got to spend a few nights out with old friends in the city. I played hooky when I visited town this time around, but I can’t wait to write down all your suggestions on my next trip in February!
