And since 2006, Lyrics Undercover has gotten support and funding from the Denver Post. However, with the downturn in the economy, and everyone cutting costs across the board, The Denver Post is no longer gong to be able to host, promote and fund Lyrics Undercover. However, Dianne and I feel that there are hundreds, if not thousands of stories left to tell, and we want to keep going. And in order to do that, we need your help.

Starting January 1 2009, Lyrics Undercover is going to become a PremiumCast. In exchange for a small subscription payment every month, you’ll get four episodes, delivered every Thursday, each one giving you an in-depth look at a song. The price for all this entertainment is just three dollars a month. It is, as they say, cheaper than a White Chocolate Mocha at your local coffee chain. When you subscribe to the Premium Cast, you’ll get a feed address that you can use with any Podcast subscriber application, including iTunes, so you won’t miss a beat. And you can cancel any time.

Your $3 per month will go towards hosting, bandwidth, and the writing and production of the show, and will continue to keep the show advertising free.

For those of you who can’t, or don’t want to subscribe to the premium cast, the feed that you’re subscribed to right now will still get one episode of Lyrics Undercover per month, absolutely free. If you want to keep receiving Lyrics Undercover, but can’t do the PremiumCast, don’t do anything. The first show of every month will appear on this very feed that you’re subscribed to. But you’ll only receive one of every four episodes a month.
