Today is such a special day in the House of Honey because it officially marks one whole year since my tiny little teacup Pomeranian, Puddin, became mine.

And when I say tiny, I mean tiny. She is literally 4 lbs of cuteness and chaos wrapped in fluff, attitude, and the sweetest little face I have ever seen. Somehow this tiny little baby has completely taken over my heart, my home, and probably my entire personality too… and honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Puddin has been so much more than just my dog. She has been my emotional support, my little shadow, my comfort on the hard days, and my tiny best friend through everything. I truly don’t know what I would do without her.

Her name is also very on brand for me. Puddin is Harley Quinn inspired, because of course it is. If you know me, you know how much I love Harley Quinn. I even have another dog named Mistah Jay, because my Harley obsession is very real and very committed.

This past year with her has been filled with cuddles, chaos, kisses, tiny tantrums, dramatic little moments, and so much love. She may be small, but her personality is huge. She is sweet, spicy, clingy, silly, spoiled, and perfect in every single way.

I love her more than words could ever describe. There really are not enough pretty words in the world to explain how much this little girl means to me. I thank God for her every single day, because she has brought so much comfort, happiness, and love into my life.

Happy one year anniversary to my precious little Puddin. Thank you for letting me be your mommy. I love you forever, my sweet tiny baby.

My Beautiful Orchid Mantis Babies

There’s a new obsession taking over the House of Honey, and honestly? I’m not even trying to fight it.

Meet my orchid mantis babies, Xander and Willow. These tiny little floral creatures have completely stolen my heart. I knew orchid mantises were beautiful before I got them, but I wasn’t prepared for just how fascinated I would become watching them grow, hunt, explore, and develop their own little personalities.

If you know me, you know I have a soft spot for anything pink, pretty, unique, and slightly dramatic. Naturally, orchid mantises fit right into my world. They look like tiny enchanted flowers that came straight out of a fairytale, which means they basically belong in the House of Honey.

Xander has been growing so quickly lately, and I swear every day he looks a little bigger than the day before. Watching him develop has been one of the coolest parts of this experience so far. He’s becoming such a handsome little mantis, and I may or may not spend entirely too much time checking on him throughout the day.

Meanwhile, my sweet little princess Willow is taking her time. She still hasn’t had her first molt yet, so we’re patiently waiting for that exciting milestone. Every day I check on her hoping today’s the day, but she’s clearly doing things on Willow time.

One of my favorite things about raising orchid mantises is how different they are from any other pet I’ve ever had. They’re elegant, fascinating, surprisingly interactive to watch, and absolutely gorgeous. Some people collect designer handbags. Apparently I collect tiny flower-shaped predators.

And yes, before anyone asks… I already can’t wait for Xander and Willow to have babies someday.

I know they’re still little, and I know I have plenty of time before that happens, but I can’t help imagining a whole generation of tiny orchid mantis babies. The thought of raising an entire family of these beautiful little creatures honestly makes me so excited.

What started as curiosity has quickly turned into a genuine passion. Raising orchid mantises might actually be my new favorite hobby. They’re beautiful, delicate, mysterious, and endlessly entertaining to watch. Every day feels like I’m learning something new about them.

So for now, I’ll keep watching Xander grow, patiently waiting for Willow’s first molt, and dreaming about the day my little mantis duo becomes a mantis dynasty.

If you see a custom baby pink Mazda Miata cruising by with the top down, music playing, and a little sparkle in the sunlight… that’s probably me.

This is the Honey Mobile — my custom painted pink 2-seater Mazda Miata with my HONEY XO vanity plates. She’s tiny, dramatic, adorable, and absolutely impossible to ignore… which means she fits right into the Lyssa Honey universe.

Pink has always been my favorite color. It’s feminine, fearless, spoiled, sweet, and just a little bit dangerous when used correctly. At one point, Harley Quinn even drove a pink convertible, so honestly? I’m just continuing the legacy.

And this isn’t my first pink car. Before the Miata, I had a BMW wrapped in matte pink because apparently once I like something, I commit. Some people collect shoes. I collect pink memories.

The BMW was bold and Barbie-coded, but the Miata is different. She was painted a custom baby pink color, and she feels more like me now: soft, cute, chaotic, and very much the main character.

She’s not just a car. She’s a whole mood. She’s freedom, confidence, and a reminder that life is way more fun when you make it look exactly how you want.

So yes, my car is pink. Yes, my plate says HONEY XO. And yes, I absolutely planned it that way.

Before the pink kingdom, before the bows, before Lyssa Honey became its own little world… there was a girl sitting behind a screen absolutely living for celebrity chaos, red carpet drama, and award show madness.

One of my favorite memories from that era? Covering the Grammy Awards live on Twitter for The Wendy Williams Show.

And honestly? It was every bit as chaotic, glamorous, fast-paced, and iconic as you would imagine.

There is something about award shows that feels electric. The outfits, the performances, the awkward celebrity moments, the backstage gossip… it is basically the Super Bowl for people who grew up obsessed with pop culture.

At the time, live-tweeting the Grammys for Wendy’s audience felt surreal. One minute I was posting reactions in real time, and the next thing I knew, people were interacting while the show unfolded live.

And if you know anything about Wendy… you already know her audience never held back their opinions.

Looking back now, I honestly think experiences like that helped shape the version of me you all know today online. I have always loved media, entertainment, aesthetics, storytelling, glamour, and creating moments people actually remember.

Very main character accidentally ends up in entertainment media energy.

And yes… there is actual footage of Wendy talking about me. Which still feels insane to say out loud.

It is funny because when people discover my website now, they usually see the hyper-feminine luxury aesthetic first — the pinks, the pearls, the bows, the glamorous chaos — but underneath all of that, I have always genuinely loved entertainment culture and media.

Honestly? Covering celebrity moments in real time was kind of addictive. The adrenaline of it all. Watching the internet collectively lose its mind over performances, dresses, speeches, scandals, and memes… nothing compares to that energy.

Part of me misses that era of Twitter so much. It felt messy, hilarious, unfiltered, and iconic all at once.

Maybe this is officially my sign to bring back more pop culture commentary, Flashback Fridays, behind-the-scenes stories, and little pieces of my old media world here on the blog. Because trust me… I have stories.

And somehow, every version of me always circles back to the same thing:

The House Of Honey would simply be an optional private extension of my world for anyone who wants extra behind-the-scenes content, VIP perks, exclusive posts, bonus goodies, and all the cozy little things that don’t make it onto the public site.

I never want LyssaHoney.com to feel locked away behind a paywall. I love sharing my blog posts, raffles, updates, stories, beauty obsessions, and all of the fun little things I already post publicly.

But I also think it could be really cute to have a more exclusive side to the website for the people who want a little extra access behind the pink curtain.

Almost like an old-school celebrity website mixed with a digital diary, a luxe members lounge, and a tiny glamorous escape from reality.

The more I think about it, the more I realize I don’t want it to feel transactional or overly serious. I want it to feel immersive. Soft. Fun. A little mysterious. Like you’re stepping into a hidden side of my world that not everyone gets to see.

I’ve also been thinking about creating different membership tiers so people could choose whatever feels comfortable for them. Maybe something simple for the dolls who just want access to exclusive blog posts, and higher tiers with extra perks like surprise goodies, bonus content, VIP raffles, or more behind-the-scenes access.

Nothing overly complicated.
Nothing overly corporate.
Just a prettier, more personal internet experience.
