2019年11月28日…… 本来会是他的生日。或许是胎教太成功，或许是太喜欢游泳，或许有太多的或许，他并没有按照医生的计划来到这个世界上，而选择继续与我脐带相连。

超出预产期其实没带给我太多困扰，但也不免会疑惑怎么都没有临产征兆。说实在的，我挺喜欢胎动的奇妙感觉。那种只有身为妈妈才能体会到的感觉，那么的独一无二，多么的无人能取代。倘若可以，我倒希望他们继续待在我的肚子里。相信我，倘若可以……！

距离预产期已经超过了3天，毫无临产症状。我依照医生之前的指示，在第四天，也就是2019年12月1日，回到政府诊所复诊。当天风光明媚，我的心情也相当愉悦。专门跟进我的孕况的护士见到我后，免不了好奇地问：“Belum bersalin ke？”

在政府诊所看诊讲求的是耐心，等上一、两个小时是再寻常不过的事。好不容易，轮到我时，医生细心地为我照了超声波，随后表示腹中的羊水有些过多，建议我立即到中央医院进行详细检查。我们夫妻俩并没有因为医生的话而感到慌张。相反地，我们还能够一家三口先到附近餐馆填饱肚子，再将大儿子寄放在外婆家后，才前往中央医院。与大儿子挥别的那一刻，大约是下午二时，我始终都没料到那晚我会回不了家。

抵达了中央医院，还是离不开“等”。漫长的两小时后，终于轮到我接受检查。基于上一胎所留下的阴影，我对内检产生了莫名的恐惧，心中不断地祈祷希望不会遇上需要内检的情况。很幸运地，我进行了几项检测，独缺内检这个部分，心想：我逃过了这劫。然而我却被要求留院观察。这个消息对我而言简直晴天霹雳。

话说回来，我在中央医院进行产检并非第一次，但在那栋古色古香，建于一世纪以前的建筑物里进行检测倒是头一遭。我坐在轮椅上，年轻的华裔男医生缓缓地推着我，身旁还跟着一名孕妇。她和我一样是要去接受检查的，可待遇就大大不同了。*暗爽*

或许是我太重了，或许是产房到照超声波的地点位置距离太远了，或许有太多的或许，医生推得有些上气不接下气。他那喘吁吁的样子还挺逗趣的，尤其是要通过无数扇沉甸甸的门，一边要使劲儿地把门推开，一边还得顾上这名体重接近 70kg 的待产妇和另一名孕妇。那名医生也算得上是了不起了。

年轻医生将我转介给另一名印裔专科医生后便先行离开。看着眼前地板数不尽的绿色小砖块、陈旧的建筑风格以及完全搭不上调的高科技仪器，我仿佛置身于电影情节里所谓的秘密基地，准备进行一些不可告人的科学试验。看来这些【复古】与【先进】的合并带给我不少的视觉冲击。

专科医生为我扫描了之后，为我讲解了自己正面对的情况 —— 羊水过多。羊水是胎儿所排出的尿液。羊水过多不是件好事。它意味着腹中的胎儿可能在吞咽上面对一些问题，因此没办法重新喝下自己排出的尿液。这也有可能是因为胎儿畸形所致。我从未想过羊水过多都会衍生许多问题。“中庸之谓徳也”，中庸果然是世间万物的根本规律之一。

严重羊水过多最常见的原因是胎儿畸形（常和基因异常有关的），而较轻的羊水过多常和孕妇糖尿病、多胎妊娠有关或为特发性，胎儿感染、巴特综合征、贫血及神经肌肉疾病等也是羊水过多的可能原因可能（巴特综合征及神经肌肉疾病少见）。

医生向我讲解时，神情严肃。我着实被他吓着了。有哪个待产妇愿意听见自己肚里的孩子有可能是畸形的呢？有哪个待产妇希望自己的孩子一出世就会面对吞咽的问题呢？医生将丑话说在前头。或许是察觉我眼眶泛有泪水，或许是把该说的都说完了，或许有太多的或许，不过医生总结陈词的那一刻才是最令我想狂飙脏话的时刻 —— “当然会遇上刚才我所说的情况只有30%，另外的70%导致羊水过多的原因……不详。” *无言*

精神上被折腾了好一段时间，我终于被安排入住医院了。我并没有像大家口中所说般理所当然地直接入住第一等病房。相反地，和其他孕妇一样，我被公平地安顿在“难民集中营”等候次序入住头等病房。由于待产率甚高，我的床位正好是在宽大的病房走道中央。临近深夜，我才幸运地被安排到靠窗边的病床上待产。

一个原本可以非常惬意的星期日就这样在医院了度过了……

Thirst

Thirst is defined many ways, with the most literal definition being the subject of any of those classic scenes where the protagonist is in a desert and seeks an oasis of water to save their lives.

oh yes, it happened again. I totally stopped blogging for a few months.

I sort of go through this kinda thing so often, and have for the past year or so. Sometime it is simply life getting hectic, sometimes it is me forgetting or just unable to, and sometime I have just been plain slacky, you see.

I think, however, that all of these point to something that I myself struggle with at times, and that is what I define it as "thirst for blogging". And here, I talk 'bout THIRST as an intense desire to have or do something.

I used to blog on a regular basis. That said, my blogging thirst can vary from day to day, week to week, even by months or years. Truth to be told, staying thirsty is not easy, particularly you never want to be like this. I definitely have had my struggles over the past couple years. I do not know how many posts will really appear on this blog moving forward, as my own thirst seems to vary as much as a kitty in a room full of boxes, strings and scratching posts. But I do know that when you do feel the urge, when you do want to quench your thirst to blog, that you should, at every opportunity, like what I am doing now.

I think that is enough of satisfying my thirst for the day.

bloggie seems to be a platform or a channel for me to shout out the thoughts of my mind. On the contrary, I failed to express myself in speeches. How sadly it is.

not going to make any promises of updating this bloggie occasionally. It is a tough job indeed. But... I would like to seek back the old interests of mine. To brighten up my life. To inspire or enlighten the current circumstance. Oh well... I am not sick of life, sincerely. But the urge of seeking a meaningful life is freaking strong. And it makes me wanna do it now. That is why I am blogging again.

so... pray. Pray that I could overcome all the obstacles and fight for the goal of my life.

Todai Buffet Restaurant. Truly a disappointment.

"Why TODAI? Today is TODAI." -- the slogan of Todai which makes no sense. According to Elmer Dills, famous Los Angeles food critics, once described Todai as "The Mother of All Seafood Buffet". I doubt it, however.

Todai is an international seafood and sushi buffet restaurant which is located in The Shoppes, Marina Bay Sands. I went to there in this afternoon. With a humble entrance of Todai restaurant, I expected there are plethora of food selection to satisfy my taste bugs and stomach. But apparently it did not reach my expectation. What a disappointment to dine in there.

from the information I obtained, either from the official website, blog reviews, or the compliments of the foodies, Todai is kinda highly-recommended buffet restaurant to have a wonderful seafood feast. However, it failed to make me feel so.

the colleagues and I were having lunch there. We got ourselves all the way from JB to S'pore in order to taste the Alaskan snow crabs and oysters. But obviously none of them were available. Not even a piece of salmon or Chili Crabs.

based on the blog reviews I read, Todai supposed to provide us those delicacies. Shall I conclude that I am that unlucky to gain the opportunity to taste them? No further comment 'bout it.

goodnight, people! I am wore out as walked too much. Not going to talk 'bout the food anymore. To dine in Todai, is such a waste.

15 minutes to go, before we approach to another grand new day. Yes, Thursday is coming soon. Time nor tide waits no man. It seems like the holidays are going to be ended soon but still, there are so many incomplete to-be-accomplished-tasks awaiting for me to complete with.

hmmm... let us have a summary of what I had been done over the past few days.

15 August, Wed
I guess I was too delighted as I could not remember what I had actually done that day, after the school. But I remember clearly that I went out yum cha with Mr. Kenny T. at night. Had a nice chat with him. =D

16 August, Thurs
had a substituted tuition class in the morning and another tuition class in the evening. But what was I doing that night? Could not remember again. ++" Am I suffering from a short term loss of memory?

17 August, Fri
same as Thursday. Had a substituted tuition class in the morning. The travel-mates-to-be aka colleagues came to my house at around 3pm to print out some personal documents. Another colleague passed by to pass me something 'bout an hour later. Wow... were they missing me as the holidays are just begun? hohoho... At night, I had a wonderful badminton game with the churchees as well as with the younger brother. I could not remember when was the last time I played badminton with him. It seems to be during our childhood period. Such a long long time ago. I fail to describe the feeling in words, at here. God knows.

18 August, Sat
had the tuition classes as usual. In the morning and afternoon respectively. Supposed to attend to the drum lesson at church. However, I received the message from my shih-fu. The class canceled due to the reason of unavailable of practice room. Good news to me actually since I did not practising at home at all, for what I have learnt in the previous lessons. In the end, I occupied the time by shopping at Giant Leisure Mall. At night, I had an extraordinary fellowship. We had a great chat at the church of course. Not to forget, at Living Room as well. Bad news received, yet I pray for a new circumstance would come and I believe that there must have something God wants us to learn throughout the entire progress of the incident.

19 August, Sun
was a Raya day. Greeted Rahila right after I woke up. As usual, was invited to her house to celebrate Raya. However, none of the Pelangians wanted to go, thus I did not go too. Went to have breakfast before attended to Sunday worship. Something happened after the worship. Perhaps it was only a coincidence or might be an arrangement by God, my prayer had been answered. The old mama, finally, had an opportunity to get close to Mr. Kenny T. and had a short chat with him. Yes, I hope to see that and I always do. I pray that the old mama could actually get involved in my story of romance. To know him better. Watched 2 movies that day. For sure it was an unforgettable outing, but not 'cuz of the 2 movies, for another reason. =P sweet.

20 August, Mon
attended to a scripture conference by Pastor Stephen Tong. A good conference indeed.

The churchees were then went to Ikea and VivoCity to have dinner and shopping. At last, I gained the chance to try out the Swedish meatballs at Ikea. But too bad I forgot to take a photo. ++" Well, it seems like my brain did not function properly these few days. Was truly wore out that day. Almost cried in tears. Terribly homesick that night. LOL... I was like a kid. Hoped that someone would noticed my weird acts and tried to coax me. However, it did not work. Reached home at around midnight and slept at around an hour later.

21 August, Tues
woke up with a terribly bad mood. But I had to pretend like nothing happened and accompanied the old mama to have breakfast. Wow... trust me, that was a great breakfast with tasty food and nice ambience. In spite of it, I forgot to take a photo again. Back home, had a 'lil chat with the old mama. It enlightened me, somehow. To be shared, an effective communication begins when 2-ways communication exists, particularly with a face-to-face method. Thank God for giving us the ability to communicate. In the end, I realized my mistakes and shortcomings. Never make the same mistakes and will try to overcome the shortcomings, I promised. As a result of a good walk and peaceful talk... problem solved. =D

22 August, Wed
slept until 10am. Stayed at home until 4:30pm. Went out with the woman, Se Xun Tan. It felt great to hang out with her. Had a nice talk 'bout future, boys, work and some gossips. =) She enlightened me too. Honesty is the most essential element to nurture a best relationship. Hope it works on me too.

2:00am. Time to sleep and I shall stop here right now. Good night people!

The End of Service, Pentax Optio M50

on the first day of holidays, I decided to post a new entry. Practice makes perfect. After a fairly long period of unwanted-resting-in-blogging, I aware that the skill of blogging has deteriorated gradually. Fortunately, however, the enthusiasm of blogging is always there, in the depth of my heart. It could be considered as an interest or a platform to express myself. As well as a channel to share my happiness and bitterness with all the readers. Thus apparently I need some time to revive and avoid myself from being so inactive in blogging.

as London Olympic has came towards a perfect end, hereby I declare that the first and only camera I have has to end its service too. Yes, the Pentax Optio M50. It spoilt.

4 years ago, in order to catch the precious moment of the brother's commencement, I bought it. Hundreds or thousands of photos and videos had been taken in the 4 years time. The very last photo was taken in S'pore, 4 months ago.

it may be an opportunity to change a better camera. But somehow it hurts me. Just as someone is leaving me. Perhaps... the camera has recorded too much of memories which I do not want to forget.

currently, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini is the only tool which I could use to catch the image. How long shall I wait to get myself a new camera? Financial shortage. Am I able to overcome it as soon as possible? All of us aware that camera is an essential tool for a blogger to produce an entry. Losing it will only worsen the situation for blogging more.

oh dear... pray for my determination in blogging even if I am losing the first and only camera currently.

woke up with a moody feeling. Is it a pre-returning-maktab-syndrome? Or 'cuz of some other silly reasons? God knows.

went to SMK Infant Jesus Convent yesterday. To attend to a Teacher's Day-fellowship which was organized by the school. It was a 'lil surprise to meet the secondary school History teacher, Mdm K.J. Mary there. And 2 SMTP's teachers as well. Mdm K.J. Mary was the orator of fellowship. Inspirational speeches were coming out from her mouth. 'course most of them are the Words of God.

"do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe."

Philipians 2:14-15

YES! Do everything without complaining or arguing. But it seems too difficult for us to reach it. All of us are the sinners. We point out people's mistakes easily and find it so hard to reflect our own mistakes. We always overlook the mistakes we have made and try to cover ourselves with plethora of excuses. Again, we are the sinners. Apparently imperfect.

I pasted the same picture on the shelf in front of me at my workplace in order to remind myself that I shall "shine like the stars in the universe". However I failed umpteen times. I complaint. I argued. I probed. I forgot that I am the living testimonial of Jesus and God. I shall do as what They taught us in the Words, but not follow my heart and desire.

Oh Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus, forgive me that I am a sinner and I always be.

there must have a change. 'cuz attitude does matter...

pictures say a thousand words. Undeniable. I think this explains why most of the bloggers intend to include pictures in their posts. And apparently I am the one of them too.

I spent days to figure out the way of reorganizing all the photos. Spent hours to transfer the photos from a thumb drive to another. Meanwhile I was busy in uploading the photos.

by the way, something amiss in my bloggie. Something related with the photos.

what a rainy day. It ruined my plan. Yeah, it was.

I planned to jog this evening. But thank to the rain, I got the chance to take a nap instead of jog. Hohoho...

frankly speaking, the urge of jogging is freaking strong recently. The very last time I went for a jog was 'bout half a year ago. At Taman Sultan which is currently closed for public. No doubt. It has been half a year. Could you imagine how badly I miss the greenish land, blueish sky, fresher air? That explains why I try so hard to reduce my workload, particularly after my practicum period. Thank God for letting me realize that the quality of life is much more important than money before I completely become a money-slave. I am not that materialistic person. Money is important, but it does not mean everything to me. Take note. hohoho...

oh yeah, not to forget... I am here to revive this bloggie as well. =D

decisions have been made. It is all 'bout actions. And also the attitude and the urge of CHANGING. Yeah, changing. To change the lifestyle I am currently leading. Again, the quality of life.

The First Entry of Year 2012

firstly, I am busy and people are all knowing it.

secondly, my time is kinda fully occupied... and people are all knowing it too.

thus it results that I am getting lesser time to blog... and this is apparently not what I wish to happen. Struggled and struggling in "squeezing" the time. However life seems beyond my control, it seems that I have to learn to accept it and to be adapted to it. Ain't you feel so?

anyhow I believe that a journey begins with the first step. I wanna be a proactive person in keeping my bloggie alive. Yeah, at least update it once a month. I really wanna make it happen as it had been jotted down in my to-do-list for this year. No lies.

so... what should I write in this entry? A new entry for this year. A new beginning. A reminiscence 'bout what I had done on last year? Hmmm... too much to be told. So I decided to drop the idea. I rather look forward as life goes on, always.

went to watch a movie, Underworld: Awakening. An American action-horror film. Do not watch it if you feel that you have a chicken gut. I have a tiny chicken gut. But I did watched the movie. So here I am to share some comments.

the story is short. Not more than 90 mins. Viewer advisory for this movie. Those who are under 18 years old are not allowed to watch it. But the fact is that WHO CARES?! We're in Malaysia! There are many bloody fight and violence scenes. Somehow it is MATRIX-alike. Generally it is a movie series. And I totally do not aware 'bout this until today. Is it considered as a proof of leading a hectic life?

here is the movie trailer. I missed out the first 15 mins of the movie as I was late to reach the movie theater. While I was watching at the trailer, it reminds me that Underworld is somehow Residents Evil-alike too, hohoho... Hope that it is not a sarcastically review to all of you.

相隔近4个月，终于“甘愿”回来blog了……
这会是随性的一篇
想到什么就打什么的一篇
原本计划利用一个星期的假期时间
好好地blog一篇美食篇
事实证实我没办到
是忘了怎么blog了吗？
还是忘了自己的blog style？
现在距离午夜一点钟只仅仅相差十来分钟
必须速战速决
美食篇…… 就下次吧

blogger换了新面貌
还在适应当中
15分钟前还在外头呼吸自由空气的我
此刻正在调适心情
准备为明天而战
大家都说吃甜食会让心情舒畅些
所以刻意吃了许多糖份较高的宵夜
确保明日万无一失

假期中
有意无意地忘记了许多的事
就连明日将进行的校务会议也忘了
还是经由老师提醒
才猛然想起
上次的会议
因为讲师视察教学
全校就只有我
侥幸逃过目睹那在会议中上演的“宫廷革命”
或许是年纪大了
对这类的纷纷绕绕感到十足的厌恶
请记得
当我裹足不前的时候
请不要强行地将我牵扯其中
别让我亲眼目睹人性的丑陋
因为我不想……
让撒旦在一旁偷笑
纳闷…… 明天的会议又会是什么情景呢？

也被我搁在一旁

我只想放假
大脑思维、手脚肢体…… 都哀求我让它们放假
假期的无所事事
对我而言
……真的很重要

整理了睡房、书桌，外加天井和电脑桌
给自己设计了一个灵修的好角落
满意！
再也没借口对灵修说不了
还在为自己规划人生目标
忙！
之前真的是太忙（盲）了
差点看不清方向了
假期虽结束了
仍会继续沉淀

yes! yes! yes! it is a Google mail. Found in my mailbox in this evening. When I back from tuition class. All the way from Hong Kong.

God knows how madly I am in love with Google. That explains why I was nearly scream like hell when I saw the 6 colorful alphabet letters on the envelope.

however what has written in the letter is not what has stated above. It was a thank you gift from Google.

in fact I dreamed of having a job in Google and I always do. It could be a dream but I know dream may come true one day. Who knows?!

多少人晓得正常的工作时间为一周45小时？

在这样的复活节，边观赏着《红星大奖2011》，边改着一本本的功课，我深知这是个既没工钱，又没完没了的超时工作。金钱换不了时间，更别说是没工钱的牺牲。

怎么能够用金钱来衡量责任呢？我曾经为此感到困惑。直到现在，我依旧对检测责任感的准绳感到疑惑。可换个角度想想，与其将大部分时间只投注在批改作业上，挪用自己的时间去做自己喜欢、想做的事，应该不算是罪过吧？

我不甘心每个工作日的夜晚、每个星期的周末都还得望着一堆堆的簿子，默默地接受着一直改，拼命改，可又怎么都改不完的结果！我更不甘心眼巴巴地看着大部分时间都被簿子作业占用，而逐渐地将自己喜欢做的事都搁置一旁，不加理会。今晚，我出奇地想念我那许久都没更新的部落格。我甚至忘了最后一次安静地看书，通过书籍自我提升的时候。然而我更希望周末能够放松心情，懒洋洋地度过……

啊…… 看着身旁还没改完的书，好恨！我的生命、人生…… 真的不该让作业簿子给埋没！

today Google has launched a grand new product. Called Gmail Motion. Wow...

my curiosity killed the cat. Wondered how to interact Gmail by using body. So I clicked on the link in order to find out more.

I was so excited and wanted to know so much on how exactly the Gmail Motion works. Thus I skipped the videos. And tried to install it.

while looked at the screen as Gmail Motion was installing, I knew there must be something that would inspired me.

and 'course Google has never disappointed me...

An Overview of the Life in IPGM-KTI

by glancing at the title of this post, obviously it tells that the teacher training college has changed its name to Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia Kampus Temenggong Ibrahim (IPGM-KTI).

was sitting for the exam of semester yesterday. Have a faith of passing the exam, somehow. Hope to complete the course as soon as possible, but at the same time I am deeply knowing that the holidays were fully occupied by the training courses. It makes my life so meaningful. I cannot imagine how bored the holidays would be if the training is completed. Oh dear... how self-contradiction it is.

anyway, there is something we can never deny. Time flies. This is the third year of the training. One more year to complete it. Things are going better after I made myself a promise that to get used to the life there. Was compelling myself to be more friendly to the others and most importantly, smile more. Hence here comes the result sheet. I think I have survived from it and am fairly satisfied with the outcome.

first semester, started in November 2008.

life was torturing. I stayed in the hostel for 3 weeks. And it nearly drove me to depression. No kidding. I am serious. To me, stayed in hostel has no different as putting me in jail. Food was bad, no recreation activity at all. Completely isolated. Thus I bought the 'lil Savvy on August 2009, so that I can go back home everyday after the training.

the first semester was the most horrible semester, so far. Tons of assignments and presentations came in the same time. The tutorials were always started at 0730 hours and ended at 2230 hours. And there was once the tutorial even ended at 2300 hours. It is unforgettable as I was nearly burst into tears 'cuz of tiredness.

second semester @ November 2009

the posts of monitor, vice-monitor and treasurer changed every semester.

the second semester was short. It took less than a year to complete. Still, all of us were occupied with assignments and activities. Meanwhile we started to know more 'bout each others' personalities. And it made me come out with a conclusion, i.e. NOBODY IS PERFECT! So am I.

third semester @ June 2010

it was only a few weeks after the third semester had initialed, we were summoned to go for an outdoor activity. It was the second outdoor activity we had taken part within the two years. It was much more interesting if compared to the first one. I learnt the way of paddling kayak and feel like to try it again.

the third semester was the funniest semester. Much more laughings and jokes. Or maybe to me only. Anyway in the third semester, we had a jungle cooking activity as well. A good memory indeed since not everyone of us could grab the chance to experience it.

throughout the three semesters, conflicts were still occurred among us. They could be communication problem or personality matters. Who knows? After all, the third semester had completed. Look forward to the fourth semester.

cautious! This is a christianity-post. However you, as the reader, can rest assured since I am not going to preach the gospel (although I feel like to).

Christians like to share short stories. I am included as well.

have involved myself in a christianity-group recently. I would like to call it as churchees instead of the Young Working Adult Group.

was performing couple weeks ago. Praise to the Lord.

was having a Chinese New Year steamboat feast last week. Bloody enjoyable.

this is a big family. Started to love it. I feel good to be a Christian and lead my life christianity.

O Lord... thanks for being with me all these while.

what are you expecting to have from these fluffy, adorable, cuddly... and some say yummy creature -- Bunny in this year?

as we are entering the Year of Bunny in the Chinese zodiac, there are numbers of film-makers from different countries have managed to get the new year off to a festive and fun start by taking in numbers of enjoyable Chinese New Year movies.

in M'sia, we have 《天天好天 Great Day》; in S'pore, they have 《大世界 It's A Great Great World》 and 《笑着回家 Homecoming》. In China, they have 《神奇侠侣 Mr. and Mrs. Incredible》; in Hong Kong, they have 《最强喜事 All's Well End's Well》and 《我爱香港·开心万岁 I Love Hong Kong》. Even in Hollywood, they have 《The Green Hornet》.

so many movies to watch, how could people are still complaining Chinese New Year is boring?!

I brought the old mama to watch a movie in the evening. A movie from the producer of 《72 Tenants of Prosperity》.

《我爱香港·开心万岁 I Love Hong Kong》is another particular brand of comedy which is affectionately known as mou lei tau in Cantonese. Despite of the mou lei tau element, the movie deals with the lives of ordinary Hong Kong citizens in the government-leased low cost flats. It is a guffaw-inducing movie indeed. But in the same time, it delivers the message of what it really means to be living within a tightly-knit large community or as well as a colony.

same as the movie 《72 Tenants of Prosperity》, the movie is star power galore. 198 stars in a film. See if you can spot them on display in a single film. But I guess it is a futile attempt in order to spot the 198 stars. Readers, here is my 'lil reminder. Do not forget that M'sia government is so good at trimming the movie scenes. I think parts of the scenes had been trimmed for unknowing reason. Anyhow it does not ruin the whole movie, that is what I should be deeply grateful for.

after all I shall say... the movie is freaking nice. More hilarious scenes than 《72 Tenants of Prosperity》. The theater was full of laughter. Everyone was amused by the story. The old mama and I were included.

to be concluded, it is an undoubtedly Hong Kong comedy movie. And I think it is the movie that you really have to watch in spite of the moviegoers are spoiled for the choices this year.

Life Is Uncertain, Eat Dessert First

Ernestine Ulmer, a little-known but much-quoted writer, was once said Life is uncertain, eat dessert first. I like this quote for unknowing reason.

last month Jean, Low, Uncle Nyang and I went to S'pore Bugis to have a Chinese-New-Year-shopping. Jean parked the car in Bugis Junction, then we walked to somewhere (you see... I'm in ignorance 'bout the streets.) to buy an apple pie.

the apple pie is strongly recommended by Jean and Low.

by looking at the brownish layer, it reminds me of roasted pig. This is not the McD apple pie. This apple pie is a classic, from the scrumptious filling to the flaky crisp brown crust.

sorry of this disgusting photo. But I really want to show the readers that how scrumptious the filling is inside the pie. Apparently the pie is filled with well-cooked apple. And I am simply cannot help remarking its cream usage. Not too much and yet not too little. The serve was so right as the pie did not tasted greasy at all.

we shared the apple pie at a dessert shop -- Ah Chew (sounds like a loud sneeze).

this dessert shop is hidden among a row of eateries. But I think it is pretty easy to find since the shop has the traditional Chinese decor and they put the hard ebony wood furniture along the corridor.

these were our order. Here is my 'lil advice. Never try cincau (S'porean prefers to call it as jelly grass or grass jelly or whatsoever) with mango! You can make it yourself at home. It is no other than mixing the cincau with mangoes. That is all. You better heed my advice if you do not feel like to spend the Sing dollars on it.

Uncle Nyang's order -- mango sago.

Low's order -- mango sago with pomelo.

the difference between the two orders is... Low's order has pomelo. If really have to choose in between the two bowls of mango sago, I would like to recommend the one with pomelo. Besides of the sweetness of the ripe and juicy mango chunks, pomelo do add in a unique flavor at every mouthful!

this is Jean's order -- watermelon sago.

Jean wanted to order the honeydew sago, but it was sold out at the point in time. Thus she made an alternate choice. Honestly speaking, a single sip could tell the difference. It is always nicer to have honeydew instead of watermelon.

wanton kuey tiew and wanton mee. These were dinner dishes that night. Recommended by Low. Perhaps I am not the fan of S'pore delicacies. Less oil, less sugar, less salt is not what I pursuing for. If really have to compare, I think even JB's tastes much more better. And point to be added, the cousin from Kampar who is currently staying in Sarawak was once criticized that JB's wanton mee was not as tasty as Kampar's. So you may guess how so-so the taste for the S'pore wanton mee to me. And the eating experience had told me that the dish is really not my cup of tea.

anyhow it is all 'bout my personal view. Since the dish was highly recommended by Low, there must be something really special that makes it good and worth to be recommended by people, doesn't it?

fried dumpling. I did not taste it. But according to them, it was too salty.

fried yau za guai (dough stick). A common dish with a common (so-so) flavor.

although the dishes were not amazed me that much, still I have to be grateful when food was served and it could fill up my stomach. Yeah, be grateful.

ali cafe

I have no idea what is the relationship between Raymond Lam and ali. Both of them seems to be the most loyal supporters of Alicafé.

by glancing at the exterior design, I felt a sudden urge to explore the cafe. The spirit was brighten up right at that point of time.

seeing is believing. Both interior and exterior designs are indeed superb. I am so regretted that I did not bring the camera there to capture the atmosphere in photograph. Luckily I am not the only one who blog 'bout it. Someone has did it before me.

nowadays, a unique menu is as important as the food and drink in a cafe. And I think Ali Cafe has successfully did it.

with the freaking local jargons and description, the menu reminded me that it is so Malaysia.

from the menu, everything looked so nice and attractive. However the images are truly for display purposes only. Let us see the differences.

well... sorry about the poor lighting photo. It was taken with mobile phone camera. Did not make a change of the setting and it resulted like this.

basically beside of Low, the rest of us (Tze Wei, Jia Hui and me) were ordered breads and buns as our supper.

Tze Wei had ordered a peanut butter thick toast. Real thick indeed. And the upper surface of bread was fully topped with peanut butter. Flavorful. Too bad the photo is unavailable.

next... Jia Hui had ordered kaya butter bread.

frankly speaking, we have to try this. It tasted good alright. The bread was really crunchy. Loving it.

and finally is my turn, i.e. Egg on Toast.

never judge a toast by its look. Somehow it looks tasty, but the fact was totally different. I made a wrong choice. The eggs tasted bland, even the pepper and kicap were added in, the taste was still the same. And the toast was another failure.

still I would give Ali Cafe 4 stars out of 5 as the environment and ambiance there are absolutely deserved to have it.

oh yeah, I almost forget it. iMac is provided for customers to use. Bonus marks are given to those Apple supporters. Whee~

A Small Gathering with Nico and Jin

bid farewell to the unproductive year 2010. And welcome to the new year 2011. I know that it sounds lame to say so on the seventh day of the year.

was glanced at the total amount of entries I had posted last year. Shocked. 26 posts altogether. It is the least posted entries since year 2008. How did I make it?! Anyway it does not matter anymore. As long as I can make sure that the same old problem will not occur again in this year.

most of the countries as well as certain states in M'sia were having a holiday on the first day of new year. However Johor was excluded. Until now, I still cannot figure out the reason of not having holiday as other states and countries did. And due to the reason of not having holiday, I had to work on the very first day of new year. Sounded pathetic to me.

however God is always with me. He knew how unwilling I was to work on that day, so He made me a compensation. A small gathering with Nico and Jin.

that was a small gathering indeed. It involved the three of us only. But we had a nice chat and photo-taking session that day in Old Town Plaza Lien Hoe.

time flies. The three of us loved to take photo together last time. As the days go by; as we are ageing... the opportunity to take photo together is seemingly getting lesser. Yeah, this is life. We cannot cease it from happening. Thus we have to learn to accept the cruelty of it. The stages of life.

although the chances of meeting up is getting lesser, but for sure that we have learn something throughout the ageing progress. To treasure every single moment that we have with family and friends.

once again... LOVE conquers all. Noted.
