Kim Bum Soo. Awesome vocalist, gifted voice, not so much on the face(according to the media). This song was presented to the public through a show called The Voice (korean version of course) and somebody sang it.

This is part of an album called Solista part 1. I never knew about it because I only have part 2 which has the song "Final Love (끝사랑)'.

The song is about a woman that lies about her drinking and smoking problem, and the man knows about it. The man is saying he would just break up and find another woman.

Jung Yeop, a member of Brown Eyed Soul, who is also the one that makes most TV appearances compared to other members. He is very well known for his love song, Nothing Better, his style of singing and habits. This song was an OST for the drama called The Romance I believe and recently this resurfaced to younger audience when it was played in the show called "The Romantic & Idol." It was great to see such an awesome song resurface with the help of idol.

Hello people, this is the song I found out through 4 hours of reading webtoon in korean website called "orange marmalade" and "song of the cloud". They both have element of music and this band called riddim's song was used as sound track for some of the episode. This particular song doesn't have happiest melody but I love the beginning.

Unfortunately youtube does not have the best quality of their songs, but I was fortunate enough to find what I was interested. AND this is the super indie band which suits the "theme" that I'm supposed to have. but meh screw the theme, just enjoy the music.

Kim C, the vocal you see in the music video, has been absent for couple of years I believe, after leaving 1 night 2 days. He recently came back on couple of TV shows and I knew he had a new album, but didn't know what it was. Luckily I was able to find this song and the song is awesome. The music video is so simple yet has such a deep meaning in my opinion.

Hello people. For those of you do not know, I love watching K-Drama, no matter how old it is, if it has good story with good actors I'll watch it. Since it is a winter break, I have decided complete another drama. Rewatching of course. Drama is called Just Looking (그저 바라보다가) with Kim Ah-Joong and Hwang Jung-Min. It was abbreviated to call 그바보 which can be seen as That Fool.

The story is about a man who is so nice, he agrees to do a fake marriage with a top star to avoid scandals with a politician's son. It leads to top star falling in love for his pureness and niceness which leads to stories and such. Lovely story of course. This song is the sound track in the drama and I just wanted to share it with you.

Vanilla Lucy has a very unique composition compared to other bands in Korea. As you can see in the video they have instruments that I do not know the exact name of which still sounds awesome. However, to the public, only the face of the vocal is well known through a show called "Men's pride" (남자의 자격). A lot of people were impressed by her voice and skill, but unfortunately that did not lead to such a big success for the group itself. Nonetheless beautiful music and beautiful group.

Behind-the-Scene story of Gangnam Style by Psy

This year's most influential song has to be "Gangnam Style" (강남스타일) by Psy. You don't know about the song? IMPOSSIBLE, you are reading this post.Gangnam Style is a title song of Psy's 6th album and if you look at other songs included in that album, you will notice there are other artists featuring each songs.

Psy recently came onto the show called "Infinity Challenge" and said his 6th album was supposed to be collaboration special and have many artists feautring in each song. Other artists include Lena Park, Sung Shi Kyung, Lessang, etc. However Gangnam Style do not have that, why?

Psy wanted Yoo Jae Suk, famous MC in Korea and the guy in yellow suit in the MV, to be the featuring artist. However he was working on another project with Lee Juk. The MV of that project is below.

No doubt, this song got attention in the Korean fan, but it wasn't big. Psy even called up Lee Juk to delay his project so MC Yoo could feature his song, but MC Yoo went with his premade arrangements, not because he favour Lee Juk, but because it was promised before Psy approached him.

Now they say it is a destiny of how it turned out. Who knows what would have happened if MC Yoo was the featuring artist of that song. would he be at the position he is today?

JungTuk and the guys - Marius is my black friend (정턱과 쾌남들)

One of the biggest discovery of this Superstar K season was JungTuk. As you can see in the video, they are bit like UV with very realistic lyrics and comedic music video. They used to be duo hiphop group, but for the show they recruited Shin So Hee (previously introduced I believe) as Alice for vocal. They have made the qualifiers, but they weren't able to make it to TOP10 or 11. They continuously gave positive energy in the show and people were able to laugh at their characters.

This song is not only addicting but holds very important message about racism.

Crying Nut is one of the leading Korean punk band who started from underground. They are known as a rival with NoBrain because they are both male bands and play energetic music which everyone can easily follow. This is probably the most famous song from them and the point of this song is shouting "Shut UP" repeatedly at the beginning of the song. You want energetic music? Look for these guys. I can't believe this was released in the 90s. so goooooood.

Hello, unfortunately I was having a hell week with exam and procrastinating chemical information in one day, so my activity has been depressing, but no worries. The freedom is close at last. Anyway this song is relaxing and soulful so here it is. They are a group mean to produce songs on real soul genre. He recently finished his army time and came back with a new song. He had contract problems so we don't know how he will be doing in the future, but hopefully everything will work and we can listen to his great songs and voice forever.

Way too many kpop idol groups showing up

Fin.Kl - 1st generation of Korean female idol

Hello fans of kpop or just people who are interested in it. I have said it several times that I am not a big fan of this huge idol pop up that is happening for the past couple of years. Don't get me wrong I don't hate all of them, there are people I like and songs I like, but what I hate is the repetitiveness of the whole thing.

It is impossible to know or like every girl that is coming up anyway. Let me ask you this, name your favorite idol group and are they really so special and unique from other groups that are present? I want you to think critically not just your personal taste.

I understand that kpop is making a huge boom outside Korea and new generation of groups are needed to continue on this trend, but the number of new generation that people are trying to make are way too much.

Out of 5 member per group there are only 1,2 people who actually has a capability to become a "singer." (not true for all group) My final point is this, I don't need 500 groups to sing 1 type of genre with all the electronic voices. Bring out only who are actually prepared and have the skillset to become a singer, because idol is a SINGER.

Simon D., a member of supreme team, have released couple of singles. This particular song was introduced to me by a non-korean friend and I am delighted with his choice of music. E-Sens, other member of supreme team, was related with a drug issue, but they plan on releasing a new album next year according to the news. Simon D. is famous for dating Lady Jane, indie musician. Also he became popular to the public through a show called "Brave Brothers." With his accent (사투리) and smooth talk during a improv. he successfully spread his name, however he couldn't show much more in the future.

Wanted - Like you feat. IU (원티드)

Wanted is a group that came out around 2003/2004. They were male trio that had dominant voices and soul, but unfortunately due to an accident which killed one of the member, there was a halt to the group. They came back with this album and thanks to an anonymous comment, I was able to find it. I only know Ha Dong Kyun from the group, because he had successful solo artist career with "Butterfly" and "Please Love Her".

Through some research I found out that they used to be part of a group called 7Days, which had Lee Jung as well. Since Lee Jung became a solo artist, they produced this group called Wanted.

They have released an album together with Lee Jung and they have some amazing songs in there, but unfortunately I haven't seen them together ever since.

Lim Jung Hee started out from JYP entertainment. She would sing on the street to showoff her skill. Her debut song, music is my life, was strong and awesome and still regarded as one of the high-skilled song for a vocalist. Only problem, she didn't make a lot of TV appearances to grow her fan base outside her music, which isn't really a bad thing from an artist point of view. She tried to go abroad with JYP, but I'm not sure how that went at all. She is currently singing a lot of OST for dramas.

This song was sang by Michelle Lee from KPOP Star (audition program) and that is where I found it.

House Rulez - On my way (하우스룰즈)

I am currently searching for a great theme music. Although my lovely One candlelight by G.O.D. is an awesome background music, it does not fulfil what I wanted to do with the "theme music." And through many hours of searching, this song is a strong candidate. It is bringing some awesome chorus with upbeat melody. I found House Rulez previously through a party music cd. And also there is a Korean magician who uses their music for the show.

Anyway, they are awesome if you want some party music. This is a very wild guess, but I'm assuming they make House music.
