There are many reasons why you might consider purchasing an air mattress. These inflatable beds make a comfortable alternative to a sleeping bag on the floor of a tent when you are camping. They provide accommodations for guests as well, even if you do not have permanent room for an actual bed. In addition, air mattresses are affordable and simple to use. Before you shop for one, there are some aspects to consider in order to make the best choice.

The first factor to think about is how you plan to use the air mattress. If you only need a spare place to sleep when your child has a friend over, you will not necessarily need one that is very large or especially sturdy. For camping or outdoor use, you will probably want to look for one that is waterproof, easy to transport and highly puncture resistant. The age, size and number of people who will use the mattress will also help you determine what you really need, so take this into account as well.

What size do you require? Cheap Air mattresses come in a wide variety of sizes from twin to full to queen or king. In addition, they are available in different thicknesses. Some are the size of a traditional mattress, while others have an additional “pillow top.” Others still are double the thickness of the standard mattresses, making them essentially the same as a mattress and box springs set. The thicker sizes will provide more comfort and support, but may require more room for storage and setup and will cost more than the thinner options as well.

Most air beds are made from PVC vinyl, which is hypoallergenic and sturdy. Some of your choices may also include a flocked top that feels much like suede or microfiber. Not only is this material softer against your skin, but it also keeps you warmer than vinyl, which tends to feel cold, might do.

Ease of use will likely be an important consideration for you. Some higher-end models have built-in electric pumps; all you do is push a button and wait a few minutes will the mattress is inflated. Even if your air mattress does not offer this feature, you can easily connect most of them up to an inexpensive air pump and set it up in no time.

Finally, you should keep your budget in mind. Once you know what features and options you would like, look for an air mattress that meets most of your needs at a price you can afford.

Guest Post, Megan Gates is an active blogger who provides written work to the blogosphere pertaining to New York City Real Estate, Hamptons Homes, home improvement and the latest architecture, design, fashion and travel. Follow her on twitter @MEGatesDesign.

When the temperatures drop, many individuals turn their thoughts to hitting the slopes. It’s easier than ever to take in some fresh powder at a few of the world’s top ski sites. Today, ski resorts are more than just a few mountains and some snow, but shopping, dining and entertainment hot spots. Fantastic ski ranges around the globe have developed into full class vacation destinations, and with ranges everywhere from Canada to the Alps, there’s a perfect choice to fit every taste.

Lake Louisa – Alberta, Canada:

The Lake Louisa ski area in Alberta, Canada is famous for its scenic mountain range. Located in Canada’s Baniff National Park, the site has been drawing skiers for its three different skiing ranges: Mount Norquay/Mystic Ridge, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise. Each range is about 30 miles apart, making it possible to experience three excellent ski sites during one vacation.

Vail – Vail, Colorado, United States: Vail has been a Mecca for avid skiers for decades, and it’s not difficult to see why. It’s the largest ski range in the United States, drawing US visitors annually, but it is also a crowd favorite for people around the world. Visitors to Vail are welcome to more than 5,000 acres of skiing land, but there’s more to see and do here than just the slopes. Vail is home to some of the region’s top shopping, dining and museums, making it a cultural capital for the skiing elite and novices alike.

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France:

This ski site is famous in its own right, having played host to the world’s first winter Olympics in 1924. There’s no doubt as to why it was chosen, as Chamonix-Mont-Blanc offers up some first rate slopes and resorts. The range is located at the bottom of Mont Blanc, making it the highest peak in all of the Alps. It is also the second highest peak in the whole of Europe. The site is known for its 9,000 foot vertical drop, as well as a run of more than 13 miles, one of the longest on the globe.

Whistler Blackcomb – British Colombia, Canada: Having developed over the last 30 years into one of the most popular ski sites in North America, Whistler Blackcomb now sits in the middle of a destination city. With trendy cafes, restaurants and shops, not to mention some of the longest ski drops in the Northern hemisphere, this Canadian range is a skier’s delight.

Kitzbuhel, Austria:

Kitzbuhel may not have the glamour of some of its nearby Austrian neighbor sites, like St Anton and Innsbruck, but it certainly has the historical clout to back it up. The 700 year old village of Kitzbuhel has seen skiers on its slopes since the late 1800’s, earning it the nickname of the Pearl of the Alps. Visitors to this site have the added bonus of being able to visit the historic alpine village, which brings charm and whimsy during breaks from the slopes.

Zermatt, Switzerland: The ski resort of Zermatt is known for fantastic snowfall that makes for supreme skiing. The area is as peaceful as slopes come, as the area is a car-free zone. Zermatt also has the world’s second largest lift, a sight to see for any ski aficionado. Look to Zermatt for some of the most picturesque slopes the world has to offer.

Stowe, Vermont: New England is a popular spot for skiers, but Stowe, Vermont boasts the longest vertical drop in the area. Stowe has two ranges, Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak, both fantastic options. Luckily, visitors can experience both, as the two resorts are linked by one lift. Plus, the area has desirable shopping and dining options, for a complete vacation.

When choosing a resort for your next ski vacation, think outside the box. Some of the top ski resorts in the world are available to enjoy, with as little effort as hopping on a plane. There’s a range for everyone, with plenty of ways to unwind after a day in the slopes.

So, last night, I went and ate at this restaurant called Siam Kitchen. I can’t decide on which main course I should order but I was 100% sure that I’ll order their green mango salad.

It’s one of the best GMS that I’ve tried. It’s not too sour or too spicy. The onions were sliced just the right size. I was hoping though that the green mangoes were crunchy.

Two of the regular activities that Waterways Watch Society (WWS) has are the weekend bike or boat patrol. We cycle along Marina Bay or go on boat along Singapore River to check areas where people usually hang out to make sure they leave the place clean and litter free.

Bike and boat patrols are done from 10AM to 2PM on Saturdays and Sundays. But once a month, we try to organize a Night Bike Patrol or a Sunrise Bike Patrol.

For the month of November, we decided on doing the sunrise bike patrol. And while waiting for the other members to arrive, I was able to catch the sunrise. This was taken around 6:15AM.

This second photo is actually the view directly in front of WWS premises.

By the time all participating members have arrived, the sun was already up. Cannot really say if it was still a sunrise patrol. ????
