Apple to Pay Chinese Authors $118,000

Apple, the most reputed company toppling the smartphones industry at present is about to pay $118,000 to Chinese Authors for violating copyrights. All of us are familiar with copyrights and cases which involves their violation. China Daily mentioned that a court was held in Beijing. The court gave its verdict that Apple would pay $118,000 to three Chinese authors.

According to authors Apple has been found guilty of stocking their books on its App Store without any permission or so. They said that it was done through Apps without their will. And in this case, Copyright law finds its way in.

The law was maintained against Apple by the Writers Right Protection Union (also known as the Writers' Rights Alliance), the Union to protects the copyrights of authors whose works are published online and is present on the web.

How to Increase Bit Torrent Download Speed

Most of you use the bit torrent client to download Movies, Games etc. via Torrents. Today, I am going to show you how to increase download speed of bit torrent. You will be shocked after doing this. But remember that download speed also depends upon the torrents. This trick worked for me. So you should also try it. Just do the same as I am going to do. Means copy the settings as shown in images.

Go to "OPTIONS"
Click "PREFERENCES"
Go to "CONNECTION" in the sidebar and change the settings as shown

Now go to "BANDWIDTH" and follow the settings as

Now go to Bit Torrent and copy as shown below

Next go to "QUEUEING" and follow this

Now go to "Advance"
Then find "bt.allow_same_ip" change it to true as shown

Now find"dht.rate" and change its value to 2

Now find"gui.show_notorrents_node" and change it to false.

Now find "rss.update_interval" and change its value to 20 as shown

Now hit apply and then OK.

You are done.

Eye-Fly Get 3D without 3D Glasses

Today Smartphones phenomenon is trying to get even Smarter. As the Industry is heading ahead,providing 3D displays is the talk of today. As 3D view is going to be a significant feature of the Future Technology.Today, I am discussing with you one such step in the Smarphones Insdustry.

First tell me that Do you want to convert your Android's AMOLED display or Apple's Retina 2D Display to 3D without buying or using 3D Glasses? I can hear your eager "yes". Because in this case your Smartphone will be even much Smarter. How fascinating would it be without 3D glasses. And of course, this is now possible to convert your Smarphone Displays to 3D without 3D Glasses. Some Singapore researchers(Nanovue) have developed a screen cover that converts your 2D display to render 3D results. It is special type of film named as EyeFly 3D film. Amazing!!! Screen protection plus 3D output.

The next question is how it works? It is explained that it contains a large number of lens like structures. These are so small to be percepted as they are one thousandth of the width of human hair. So small but handy. When they are applied to electronic devices, they work in conjunction with iOS and Android apps to produce stunning 3D results.

It must be mentioned here that Cnet Asia found few problems with these screen protectors. Having used the EyeFly 3D on the Retina display on the iPhone 5, it looked lower in resolution with the result that ,"text and icons appear[ing] to have jagged edges."However, Brightness is not affected by it. It is as it was before that screen cover.

The Nanovue is demanding $33.4 for it. Although a bit more than the expected. However, not costly for people using expensive Android and iOS devices. As a result the cheapest available source for 3D viewing.

Currently, orders are being accepted for iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5. Android smartphones and tablets are still under work. Hope so soon it will be available for Android Devices and will let you enjoy media options in three dimensions.

2-Shut-Down 'VIRUS' Trick:

NowI am going to show you how you can create a shutdown virus and send it to your friend on facebook.
This is not a virus(as someone of you might think) but actually a log off command. Its a very good trick for fun and not very difficult. Nothing to be downloaded.
Here we go.

CREATION:

(1)-Right click on your dekstop and go to 'new' then to "shortcut".
As the new window opens, type in

shutdown -s -t 2 -c "This is a virus"

Instead of this is virus you can type anything you want. And instead of 2 you can also type the time in seconds which the system will take to shut down.

(2) Now click next and type in "my computer".
(3)After this click finish.
(4)Now the virus is ready

SENDING IT:

First of all you need to change the icon of this virus which can be done easily.right click on the virus go to "Properties" open "shortcut" and click "change icon". Select the icon similar to "my computer".

Augmented reality refers to a technology which is in short like our sense of sight. This technology will give mobile the ability to see. Whenever, you point your phone's camera in a specific direction, the phone will tell you about hotels, hospitals, restaurants etc. in that direction and who knows it may involve information about them.

Since smartphones are portable, this feature provide sound foundation for augmented reality. This is easy to just take out your phone, point it in a specific direction and get the information which otherwise you have yo take by calling restaurant etc

.

This feature will use Global Positioning System to simplify location searches. Hopefully, it would be the one of the most used applications in the future.

Organic Light Emitting Diode:

OLED or organic light emitting diode is also one of the future features. Very soon it will be possible for phones to provide us larger displays to play our favorite games or to watch our favorite movie. It will also be possible to fold or unfold the phone owing to OLED technology. Samsung has talked about this kind of displays.

OLED although not available yet is a promising technology as it will enable us to see from both sides of the display and also it will be flexible.

Wearable Smartphones:

Smartphone industries are looking to transform the smartphones into kind of wearable things. This will make them even smarter. For example Nokia is directing research into this project and on their concept which they are calling as Morph.

Google is not behind others. Google is talking about smart glasses. And of-course, Apple the leading and famous industry is also paying heed to this project. Apple is talking about iWatch.

Smartphone Projectors:

If however we are not satisfied with flexible displays, then why not convert our smartphones into smart projectors and project on say for example on a wall. That is the idea upon which Samsung is working on. The Samsung Galaxy Beam had a built in Digital Light Projector(DLP) which can project up to 50 inches.
This idea is a great one because in this way smartphones can be transformed into a kind of gaming consoles without TV screens at all. All you need is a plain wall. And instead of remote control, you can give directions with your voice and body movements.This is very similar to Kinect.

Artificial Intelligence:

Artificial Intelligence is also a subject of great interest. After Apple launched Siri , a lot of attention is being paid towards this subject. Voice control however was present in the mobiles for many years, but it was not good. Previous systems detected sound commands by sound waves. However, Apple's Siri recognizes sound in a similar fashion as we recognize it. In the future phones such voice control seems to be a viable goal. That, combined with gestures may bring new experiences for smartphone users.

Improved Displays:

Apple's Retina Display provides sharper resolution than what the human eye sees. Mobile companies are nowadays moving from 2D to 3D displays. Presently, we have 3D displays such as in LG Optimus 3D, Samsung AMOLED 3D. But what comes after 3D? It is expected that future smartphones may have in built Holographic Projectors. Such kinds of displays are the feature of futuristic phones.

It goes without saying that these features seems incredibly awesome. But how soon we'll get used to these features, is the next question.

The smartphones industry is riding a jet. Thats why making so fast and remarkable success. Though a few companies like Samsung and Apple are ruling at present. But it is true that there are others who always make their presence felt. There is also a lot of competition in the battle of operating systems. As we see between Google's Android OS, Apple's iOS, Microsoft Windows Phone and BlackBerry. However, it is now being clear that few days after we will see several new operating systems. These new Os do promise some new features.

Below is the list of upcoming OS.

Apple's iOS 7:

It is expected to launch in 2013. And surely it will power the most of Apple's devices such as iPhone, iPad, iPod. It is expected that this operating system will bring with it a few new features and will certainly help improving the Siri experience for apple users. It is hoped that it will have new apps such as Passbook app.

Android 5.0:

We all know, uptil now, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean has been released though not available for devices other than Google's Nexus series. Nowadays, people as well as the industry is eying on Android 5.0 the Key Lime Pie as said by the sources. It is also said that it will be showcased in the upcoming mobiles such as LG Optimus G2 or Samsung Galaxy S4. Though nothing has been confirmed yet. Android 5.0 is expected to have many new features such as Performance profiles, improved social network integration etc. Another rumor is that it has feature of video chat like Apple's Face Time.

Firefox OS:

Firefox is about to launch an operating system. Currently it is in the process of submssion to W3C for standardization.Since it is based on web technologies like HTML, CSS and Javascript it is a device to attract web developers. Key design of this operating system is similar to Android.

Ubuntu Mobile OS:

Ubuntu mobile Os came to light in 2013. But it was unable to get manufacturer and carrier support. It was showcased in a Samsung Google Nexus and was supposed to be a refreshing change from Android and iOS. Minimum specifications that it requires are a dual core processor and 512 MB of RAM. Though it lacks apps, but it was appreciated for its web browsing and compatibility with a Laptop dock.

BlackBerry 10:

Blackberry 10 is widely considered to be a RIM's last chance for saving its reputation in the mobile market. It is with all new interface and hosting a lot of new apps. Some of eagerly anticipated features are Flow Ui, BB Hub, Active Frames, Time Shift Camera and Video calling, Blackberry app world, Blackberry Browser, Blackberry Balance and improved gaming experience.

Sailfish OS and Tizen:

Apart from the operating system discussed above, these two os are also of great interest. A Tizen based version of Samsung Galaxy S3 is under development. Tizen is based on Nokia's MeeGo platform.Key features are better security and reliability of internet apps than Android.

Jolla is the company working on Sailfish and it wants to bring new interface to the people to distinguish itself from Android.The first phone running on Sailfish was showcased in November 2012. A key feature of this Os is that it is not only restricted to mobiles only but also other electronics such as computers and tablets.

Pakistan gains in ICC Rankings despite Loss

As we all know, currently Pakistan has lost 2nd Test against South Africa. The first one was really one sided. In the second one, South Africa really proved to be number 1 in the world. The thing to be appreciated is that Pakistan has fought back. Despite loss, Pakistani players hailed their ranks in ICC world rankings. That's another thing to appreciate. Thats finally some reason for the cricket lovers to be happy.

That is the reason that compelled Graeme Smith, Captain of South Africa, to remark

We know that there is only a single team that can re-bounce from such a situation and that i s Pakistan.

Saeed Ajmal:

Saeed Ajmal, the real hero in the Pakistani cricket team, took ten wickets in the second test. This helped him to improve his ICC bowling rank. He has moved two positions ahead. And why not. He really deserves it. He got batsman like Hashim Amla, Kallis and Graeme Smith averaging in fifties. And Hashim Amla, you know, is the best batsman on the planet. He is now at number third after South African Dale Steyn at first and Vernon Philander at second.

Younis Khan:

Younis Khan, whose class is permanent but performance is temporary, moved to ninth position after scoring a wonderful century. He really deserve it after such a fight back. He was out of form from along time. May he continue such a good performance in the next games.

Azhar Ali:

Azhar Ali scored a fifty in the second innings and hailed his rank. He moved to number 11 with Ian Bell. Hope that he had a very delightful birthday on 20th Feb.

Asad Shafiq:

Asad shafiq, who is young classy player of the Pakistan, scored a hundred and partened Younis Khan in the biggest 5th wicket partnership against South Africa has now moved to 16th position. That was Asad's 1st century out of the subcontinent. And of course, he played the best bowlers in the world very nicely.

Overall,Pakistan's test ICC ranking is Four. South Africa is at number one after winning six series in a row including the present one against Pakistan. England is at number second. England was at first previously but lost against Pakistan in Dubai and South Africa back in 2012. The Aussies are at number third. These four teams if capable of maintaining their ICC rankings will receive prize. The cut off date is 1st April. It is said that team at number 1st will receive a prize of worth $4,50,000.

Our youth, nowadays, is suffering from Cricket's Fever. A lot of people can't even play but are much interested in cricket matches. Not only the International Cricket but also League Cricket such as IPL(Indian Premier League)and Big Bash League is also watched with a great lust.

Anyhow, it is not the topic of talk. I am just mentioning few terms used in Cricket. These are commonly called as Cricket Slang's. Most of the people are not familiar with it. So let us enjoy these cricket slang's.

Agricultural Shot:

This particular slang stands for a shot when a batsman plays across the line of the ball. Often committed by low order batsman when they try to smash the ball over the bowler's head. And often comes into play due to lack of technique. But good hitters such as Shahid Afridi can use it to amuse us and to worry the opponents. This is named so because dirt flies off the pitch

.

Nelson on the Board:
Strange! Nelson on the board stands for 111 runs on the board. these can be either individual or total scores.
Nelson on the board is derived from the name of a person. He was a sailor. and had only one eye, one arm and one leg. So stands for 111.

Biffer:

The turn which the bowler is able to produce on a pitch. As Saeed Ajmal is biffering these days:)

Bunsen:

Bunsen refers to a pitch which offers the bowl to play tricks with batsman. Means pitch allowing spinner to do well.
It takes its name from rhyming words Bunsen Burner meaning Turner.

Chin Music:

Chin music refers to the situation when a fast bowler is continuously bowling Bouncer to warn the batsman.

Perfume Bouncer:

It is bouncer left by a batsman. But its a furious one. Passes in front of the eyes of the batsman.
It requires special technique from the bowler's point of view.
It is named so because as ball passes in front of the batsman's face, the smell of the leather runs through his nostrils.

Drinks Waiter:

Humorous term. Isn't it? It refers to twelfth man who brings drinks.

Featherbed:

A pitch offering itself for the batsmans.

Fruit Salad:

Fruit Salad refers to situation when a bowler keeps on changing his deliveries i.e. he changes his pace, line and length to worry the batsman.

Gardening:
Gardening is mostly done by batsmans today. It is seen that batsman often prodding the pitch with his bat. It is said that it is used to smooth a bump. I think a mere waste of time:)

Hip Clip refers to a snap shot of Brian Lara. Most of us have played Brian Lara Cricket(A computer game).All of these contain that snapshot. It is shown

Samsung Flexible OLED display 'YOUM' (CES 2013)

As we all know that Steve Jobs invented touch screen mobile. Apple, Samsung, HTC and LG propagated it. Millions of these smart phone are now sold in the market and companies are earning a lot. Well, it is almost useless to talk about the present situation as we all know it very well. Let's talk about what Samsung and other industries are dreaming of.

Few days ago, there was talk about innovations in the upcoming smart phones. Some of them were to change smart phones into kind of wearable things such as glasses, watches etc. Recently, Google is talking about smart glasses. And, Apple is talking about smart iwatch (Read about iwatch). LG has recently invested 700 billions to make OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode). A kind of transparent display. A severe competition is going on. Samsung is not behind the others in the walk. Smasung is nowadays dreaming about bendable displays. Letting your phone to do some athletic stuff. Thats what Samsung is dreaming of.

Samsung you know is always going well. This time they are also dreaming ahead. Samsung promised that they would shoe off flexible displays at 2013 Consumer Electronics Show. And now it is Feb2013. During a presentation on Jan.9 Samsung displayed it. They are calling this brand "YOUM." The President of Samsung remarked

It does not just bend the rules of display technologies, it completely rewrites them.

Later, some of the officials, showed two prototype devices. The devices shown were just a concept which the company is thinking to transform into reality. Bringing flexible displays in phones and tablets. Samsung will make use of OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology in order to make such displays having better efficiency and resolution than that of the present LCD(Liquid Crystal Displays) screens.

It will be the first smartphone of its type. Having smart phone feature plus bendable.Amazing! Display is just like a plastic strip. And it is flexible like a Photo negative. Remember those used some years ago. One of the two opens just like a book to become a one. It was like Galaxy S III and almost similar in size. This will be a really eye-catching device after Samsung Galaxy S ||| which is designed for humans and Samsung Galaxy Note|| which is Incredibly Creative:) The idea really seems fascinating and is incredibly innovative one.

Uptil now, the smart phone industry has gained a remarkable success. The only reason for this is the innovations it provides in its devices. You all know smartphones have a number of smart features such as media options, connectivity, maps, games and other applications. Will it not be better if things get even smarter? Of course, it will be. Thats what our topic is today. Some days ago, there was gossip about the innovations in the smart phone industries. One of them was to transform smart phone things to kind of wears such as glasses, watches etc.

Apple is about to release iwatch. After becoming so famous in iphone and computer business, apple is now trying to hail its repute in the watch market. This is not an ordinary watch as it can be linked with iphone and many features of smart phones can be used on it.

Lets look at iwatch.

According to New York times, this watch has following features.

It is being said that it will have a touch screen.
It can be used for searching locations.
It will have the same operating system as that of iphone.
its screen will be of 1.5 inches.
It will have the feature of bluetooth.
It can be used to pay bills, sms receiving etc.
It is being said that it will be solar powered. So there is no need of charging it. So no more suffering from low battery issue.

It is being said that it will compete Google. it must be mentioned that google has presented few smart watches having smart technology.Some rumors also came about this watch when a smart watch named "pebble" came into existence. Creators of pebble say that it is the first smart watch of 21st century. It is being said that Apple wants to compensate the loss which Apple has faced in its income.

Reasons why People are so curious about it:
There are many reasons why people are so curious about this smart thing.

It will be the first ever smart watch. And the first wearable smart thing. A wearable computer. Amazing!
It will be the smallest of all the smart devices. So smart things getting smarter.
And above all, Apple always set trends for others. Can this be a one such trend setting thing compelling others to think and ponder upon.
Another thing is that there is a lot of choice. Thats the quality of Apple that it comes in many flavors and colours. Not in a mood of eating green apple why not a Macintosh one:) The exact designs are still unknown but few are shown.

Superconductor will be one of the most promising invention. Electricity feel resistance in its path. Superconductor are such substances which do not feel this resistance i.e. resistance is zero. These have been invented but their activity needs much lower temperature. If high temperature super conductors are ever achieved, supply of electricity will be done without any obstruction and hence there will be no loss at all.

Artificial Intelligence:

Artificial intelligence is one of the most important subject of information technology. What is it? We all know that computers and mobiles work on our directions. Artificial intelligence will make them capable of thinking literally. This will surely change the world of Information Technology.
