President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo just declared July 27 as a non-working holiday, a special holiday called “Iglesia Ni Cristo Day.”

This means that I don’t need to file for a leave on that day because I plan to join the Iglesia Ni Cristo Day celebration somewhere here in Manila. If you are an INC, you know where it is.

To all INC bloggers (some revealed themselves here), I think, that’s the best day to have an EB, right? Me and my wife will surely be there! Kita kits na lang dun!

Being in Paydotcom for almost 2 months already, I think, it’s time for me to share my experience with them as a publisher.

Unlike Google Adsense where Google acts as a middleman, Paydotcom is somehow different. In Google Adsense, Google collects the money from the advertisers and pays them to the publishers one-time every month at a scheduled date.

On Paydotcom, they simply serve as a tool. The advertisers get paid directly to their Paypal account everytime a sale is made. Paydotcom gets commision for every sale. An advertiser is required to send payment to publishers within 30 days after every end of the month. The advertisers pay the publishers directly depending on the schedule they chose within that 30 day period.

Like in my case, I actively campaign 3 products from 3 different advertisers. I receive payments from these 3 advertisers at different dates every month. Two of them pay at the first week of the month, while the other prefers paying at the third week of the month.

Payment is sent thru Paypal. If you are expecting payment, you can contact your advertiser directly to know his payment schedule, so you’ll not end up expecting a payment on the first week only to find out that your advertiser prefers paying on the third week.

Smart Communications Inc. recently launched a new unlimited service called Smartalk that will give you unlimited Smart to Smart and Smart to Talk ‘N Text calls at a fixed price. I think, Php 500 for 30 days of unlimited calls is really cheap!

SMART offers “ultimate unlimited” calling to 38M subscribers

[June 24, 2009/ Manila] - Smart Communications Inc. (SMART), the country’s leading wireless services provider, launched today a new service that enables SMART Buddy and SMART Gold subscribers to make unlimited calls to over 38 million mobile phone users on the SMART network.

Called Smartalk, the new service will be available starting June 26, does not require any changes in SIM or cell phone number, and can be enjoyed by SMART Buddy and SMART Gold subscribers.

SMART subscribers will be able to avail of the service by purchasing loads for unlimited calls which come in two denominations. The first is “Smartalk 100” which for P100 offers 5 days of unlimited calls to any subscriber on the SMART network anywhere in the country, at any time of the day.

Another variant, “Smartalk 500”, offers 30 days of unlimited calls to any subscriber on the SMART network for only P500 – effectively reducing the cost to as low as P17 for a whole day of unlimited calling to any number within the country’s largest mobile subscriber base.

“With this new service, SMART subscribers all over the country need only one phone, one SIM, and one number, to be able to make unlimited, crystal-clear calls to over 38 million SMART numbers anytime, anywhere,” said Orlando B. Vea, Chief Wireless Advisor of SMART, and also one of its founders.

“This is our way of helping out our subscribers in these difficult times and is our response to the government’s call for more affordable telecommunications services,” added Vea.

“This is the ultimate unlimited. Smartalk re-writes the rules in the way ‘unlimited’ mobile services are made available to Filipinos — no other service offering provides unlimited, nationwide calling to a subscriber base as large as SMART’s, while assuring callers of crystal-clear signal quality anywhere in the country,” said Danilo Mojica, head of SMART’s wireless consumer division.

SMART Buddy prepaid subscribers may avail of Smartalk through registration. A subscriber just needs to send Talk100 to 6400 for a Smartalk 100 package, or Talk500 to 6400 for a Smartalk 500 load. The payment for the package bought will be automatically deducted from subscriber’s prepaid load, and they just need to have a P1 maintaining balance.

They can also buy these Smartalk packages as a load from any of over a million SMART Load retailers all over the country.

When making a call using the Smartalk unlimited package, SMART Buddy subscribers just need to dial *6400 plus the 11-digit subscriber number being called, eg., *640009181234567.

Subscribers of SMART Gold, the telco’s pioneering postpaid brand, may also stretch their monthly budget for mobile services by availing of Smartalk.

All SMART Gold subscribers from Plan 800 and up may avail of 30 days of unlimited calls to any number within the SMART network, with Smartalk 500. They just need to send Talk500 to 6400 to purchase the package, and the 500-peso charge will be billed on top of their monthly service fee (MSF).

SMART Gold subscribers can also purchase Smartalk 100 or Smartalk 500, from any of over a million SMART Load retailers all over the country. This is best for post-paid subscribers who prefer to stay within their MSF cap yet need to avail of unlimited calling service through the convenience of a prepaid package.

SMART is widely credited for having made mobile phone services much more affordable and accessible, when it introduced sachet-size packets of prepaid airtime through Smart Load. The electronic load platform has also enabled SMART to offer a wide variety of call and text packages that are specially designed to be affordable, and made available through a wide network of retailers present in every corner of the country.

“Over the years we have progressively lowered the costs of our services and designed our offers to truly meet the varying needs and purchasing power of our subscribers. By offering Smartalk — a service that’s easy to understand, ubiquitous, and affordable – SMART once again transforms the playing field and offers real value to mobile subscribers,” Vea said.

I just saw it on television. It’s funny. Lola is using Facebook and talks to her grandson. Since the commercial shows a URL, lolatechie.com, I checked it out and I was redirected to a Bayantel page giving online application to their Bayan DSL. Now, that’s marketing - funny commercial + easy to remember URL + redirect to a sales page = money.

Well, I’m not interested with their DSL, rather with lola’s video coz I wanted to post it on this blog. Found a link to her Youtube’s page. Now, here’s the funny commercial.

Just a list of Twitter apps / Twitter tools I use with a little review from me. I use all of these on my Twitter account.

1. Twitterfox - This is a Firefox plugin. Good for checking tweets without visiting the Twitter page. Simple installation. Good for small followings, but if you are following thousands of people, use the next application.

2. Tweetdeck - A twitter application that uses Adobe Air. Easy manage your followings. You can group them anyway you want. Have a column for your family, a column for your friends, a column for your online buddies, etc. You can reply and shorten URLs within this application. And now, it is even available for iPhone!

3. Tweetlater - Schedule your tweets at a later time. You can also create a welcome auto-direct message when someone follows you. You can also automatically unfollow people who unfollows you. They have recurring tweets feature, but you have to pay for it. If you don’t want to pay, use the next application.

4. FutureTweets - Schedule a one-time tweet, or recurring tweets for free. You can schedule tweets daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. Set it and forget it! Tweets are posted as scheduled. This is the one that tweets for me while I’m sleeping.

5. TwitterFollower - The twitter application by John Chow. You can mass unfollow people who doesn’t follow you back in a click of a button. I used this twice, then it went down for 2 or 3 days (can’t remember exactly). When it went back online, the mass unfollow button seems broken. So, I used other options I listed below.

6. Tweepular - The ultimate follower management application. See the list of people you follow, people who follow you and you follow back, people who don’t follow you back and people you don’t follow back. You can mass follow and mass unfollow in a click of a button. I use this most of the time for unfollowing people who don’t follow back.

7. Mutuality - Another twitter application for doing mass follow and unfollow. I used this when I can’t use Twitterfollower and Tweepular. Free unlimited use for accounts with less than 1800 followers or followings. For big accounts, only limited for 3x use. I only used this twice.

I’ll be adding more on this list if I found some more Twitter applications worth blogging about.

About four years ago, my Blogspot blog was featured on Inq7.net’s You Blog Addict. I blogged about it here. The link there is unreachable now but thanks to archive.org, they were able to archive a copy of that feature here. Yes, I was the blogger behind Marhgil’s Kukote which I renamed Kukote In A Jar later. I blogged about anything during that time, trying to make funny posts everyday. It was just for fun, nothing more.

Fast forward today, my blog was featured again. This time, not the blogspot blog, but this blog. Today, I blog about making money online, and got featured on Manila Bulletin because of it. Yeah, I am an evolving blogger. If you read my old blog and this blog, you’ll see the big difference. Mas mukhang pera ako ngayon. Hehe.

Can you really make money on Twitter? Yes. How? Ok, let me share with you my experience.

Making money on Twitter, just like making money on blogging, is not a get-rich-quick scheme. You also need a little patience. But with Twitter, you don’t need to pay for hosting bills. You only need internet connection. Very minimal money-out with a huge money-in potential.

Ok, here’s what I did which you can follow if you want.

1. Build a huge Twitter follower. I already blogged about it here. I did it religiously every night. After 30 days, I already have 10,000+ followers.

2. Sign up for an affiliate account. There are many affiliate sites out there. I personally use and recommend Paydotcom.

3. Search for a product that are directly targetted to your Twitter followers. Paydotcom has lots of affiliate products you can choose from. Go on and navigate the marketplace.

4. Schedule a daily tweet using futuretweets.com. Tweet your affiliate links at times where most of your followers are online. In my case, I have a daily scheduled tweet at 11:30 PM (Philippine Time) because most of my followers are in the US. I promote 5 products from Paydotcom, tweeted while I’m sleeping.

5. Wait for the earnings to come. Some of your followers will click it. Some of your followers will buy the product. And if they buy, you earn. This is just a numbers game, the more followers, the more chances of having a sale.

After 2 weeks of tweeting those affiliate links, I already earned $230. Proof? Here’s a screenshot of my Paydotcom account (click the image for a better view):

I’m getting a sale at least 1 every 2 days. Not that big, but more than enough to pay my monthly hosting bills for this blog.
