Why bother to create this tiny utility? Because there are no such utilities (that I could find) that run in Catalina or later. They're all 32 bit apps for Mojave or earlier, and many are Classic apps that will only work in OS 9 or older.

It can be very important to know this information. I often see users on Apple's forum who have old files they can't open because they have no file extension, and the OS doesn't recognize them. If you can at least see the Type and Creator codes, you can then look up what app created it, giving you a much better chance of opening it by giving that file the correct extension. The app runs in a loop until you select Cancel. Select a file to see its Type and Creator codes. If it has none (or only one or the other), it will be listed as "missing value". Keep selecting as many files as you want to check and cancel out when you're done.

EventScripts is a simple application for triggering AppleScripts or shell scripts whenever certain events occur. Perhaps you would like to execute a script every time the track changes in iTunes, or whenever your Internet connection drops? MacPCLtoPDF is an AppleScript application bundle that converts PCL and PXL files (and Windows PRN print files in PCL format) into PDF format. It is merely an AppleScript wrapper around a compiled copy of GhostPCL (which is released by Artifex under the GNU General Public License). GhostPCLx doesn't work on OS X 10.7 or later, so I prepared this to take its place.

Quick Sprites simplifies the creation and maintenance of CSS sprite sheets that enable you to optimize your websites.

A sprite sheet is a single image that combines many smaller ones. CSS sprites help reduce the number of HTTP requests that the browser needs to do in order to load and render a Web page. This is a valuable technique that will make your Web pages faster and potentially gain a better ranking on search engines.

Quick Sprites automatically packs your images so that the resulting sprite sheet uses the smallest possible area. Since the browser must to decompress the image in order to use it, the smaller its area, the less memory it'll need. Trash It! is a little application force-empties your Trash. It also supports Drag and Drop. Especially useful if you have files or folders in the Trash stuck in the trash, need to delete locked files/folders, or want to delete large amounts of files/folders very quickly. If you drop files or folders onto the Trash It! icon, it will delete them. If you double-click on it, it will empty your Trash can. This is the software Apple Tech recommends when all else fails (according to users)!

Trash It! should be used when:

1. You can't get rid of trash items manually.
2. You can't move items to the trash.
3. You have a large number of items to delete (e.g., previous system folders).
4. You’re ready to pull your hair out because nothing seems to be working! :)
