The first, called “Moon Lake,” is designed as a pure low-power efficiency (LPE) core SoC.
Intel is reportedly preparing two new processor SKUs focused on extremely low-power computing. The first, called “Moon Lake,” is designed as a pure low-power efficiency (LPE) core SoC. The “Moon Lake” generation features no P-Cores and up to 4 “Darkmont” LPE-Cores on the Intel 18A die. Unlike “Wildcat Lake,” which includes at least 2 P-Cores, “Moon Lake” is intended to be a much smaller design for embedded devices like NAS. The base power of “Moon Lake” is reportedly rated at 6 W, similar to an SoC typically used in smartphones. The number of Xe3 cores in this SKU is unknown, but since “Wildcat Lake” has up to 2 Xe3 cores, we expect “Moon Lake” to have half of that to maintain its 6 W TDP. Intel has manufactured “Moon Lake” on its 18A node and placed it on the BGA1516 package, the same platform used by “Wildcat Lake.” The official moniker for “Moon Lake” is MNL, and it could be a successor to the N-Series, like the previous “Alder Lake-N” series of low-power processors.
Valve has a growing AI problem on its storefront, and it’s not only that game developers are using AI, which is a point of contention for many gamers but not necessarily the biggest concern for developers. Instead, game developers are increasingly reporting that their games are being cloned by developers using AI to clone games from short demos or PR materials ahead of the original game’s launch. There has also been an outcry over the number of low-effort AI-generated or AI-assisted games bringing down the overall quality of Steam Next Fest. As reported by Inven, during a recent panel at the Steam Indie Connect developer event, Valve’s Tom Giardino and Marc Wilkinson addressed some of these concerns by developers.
Lenovo has added the ThinkVision T34WD-4v monitor to its Product Specifications Reference (PSREF) website. We now have the full specifications of the 34-inch ultrawide curved professional monitor first shown at IFA 2026. The new ThinkVision features a VA panel with 3440 x 1440 resolution, 1500R curvature, and a 48-120 Hz variable refresh rate. The display has 300 nits of brightness, while for response time it can operate in two modes: 4 ms in Extreme mode or 6 ms in Normal mode. As expected from a professional monitor, it covers 99% of both the sRGB and BT.709 color gamuts. The monitor also includes a 5 MP RGB+IR camera, dual microphones, and two 5 W speakers. The connectivity area is generous. Notably, the monitor doubles as a USB-C docking station offering up to 100 W of power delivery. It has three USB-A 3.2 and two USB-C 3.2 ports, plus Gigabit Ethernet. There’s also HDMI 2.1 supporting 3440 x 1440 at 120 Hz, and DisplayPort 1.4.
CXMT is expected to start mass production of its first-ever HBM memory in the HBM3E form factor. According to an exclusive report from Reuters, this mass production is anticipated to begin within the next two months, meaning CXMT will officially start by the end of the year. Back in August, CXMT began risk production of HBM3E memory. However, the company has struggled with the yield of HBM3E memory modules, and this situation remains similar today, according to the latest report. While we don’t have specific performance details, JEDEC’s official data for HBM3E indicates a 1,024-bit width and speeds ranging from 9.2 Gbps per pin to 12.4 Gbps, with most standard configurations targeting 9.6 Gbps per pin. The total bandwidth is around 1.2 TB/s, and capacities range from 24 GB using 8-high stacks to 36 GB using 12-high stacks of 24 Gb layers. Read More

Less than a week after the Switch 2’s first jailbreak went public, Switch 2 exclusives are already showing up on hardware Nintendo doesn’t make. Developer Will Faust posted footage of Mario Kart World running on an iPhone 18 Pro through a private fork of nxnative, a project that runs original Switch games natively on Apple Silicon. That came a day after his macOS demo, which had missing geometry and wrong colors, so many people called it fake. Faust says the iPhone build uses just under 6.5 GB of physical memory thanks to a swap-like, file-backed memory setup. Switch 2 support needed extra work on NVN2, the console’s newer graphics API, and Faust has said he won’t release the code. Read More
