Trump Says Truth Social ‘Works Better’ and won’t rejoin Twitter

Note: Trump received a lifetime ban from Twitter after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.

“I am staying on Truth. I like it better, I like the way it works. I like Elon, but I’m staying on Truth,” Trump told Fox News Digital.

Even though Trump has no plans to return to Twitter, Donald Trump has praised his Truth Social platform amid continuing speculation the former president may be allowed to return to Twitter following Elon Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of the social media site.

In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump described the platform he created after he was permanently banned from Twitter in the wake of the January 6 attack as “somewhat of a phenomena,” while appearing to suggest he has no desire to return to his previously beloved social media site.

“Last week [Truth Social] had bigger numbers than all other platforms, including TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and the rest,” Trump wrote. “It also looks and works better to my eye.

“I don’t think Twitter can be successful without me,”

Trump told Fox News Digital he had saved “a failing operation” when he joined Twitter before becoming president.

“I made Twitter hot 12 years ago, I made Twitter hot,” he said. “And then when they terminated, it became cold, and that’s what happened.”

“I am very happy that Twitter is now in sane hands, and will no longer be run by Radical Left Lunatics and Maniacs that truly hate our country. Twitter must now work hard to rid itself of all of the bots and fake accounts that have hurt it so badly. It will be much smaller, but better. I LOVE TRUTH!”

With that said Former President Trump is sticking to his assertion that he won’t be back on Twitter now that it’s owned by Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

Since leaving office, Trump launched Truth Social and has used it as his main mode of communicating with his followers. Many Trump supporters and allies had their accounts banned or restricted after the Capitol riot, under the previous Twitter leadership. Others left when Trump’s account was terminated.

Truth’s reach, however, is fraction of Twitter’s, which boasts hundreds of millions of users. Experts and Trump allies have cast doubt on the idea that he would be able to resist the platform, were he allowed back on.

After months of negotiations, Musk completed his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter, tweeting “the bird is freed,” a nod to his plan to loosen content moderation practices. He then fired the company’s CEO and two other top executives.

When Musk first started mulling purchasing Twitter, Trump signaled he wouldn’t go back.

This is not the first time that Trump has outlined that he does not want to go back to Twitter if allowed to under Musk’s ownership.

In April, Trump declared that he was “going to stay on Truth” as rumors of the billionaire’s takeover first emerged.

“I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on Truth,” Trump said. “The bottom line is, no, I am not going back to Twitter.”

Musk vowed to “reverse the permanent ban” on Trump while speaking to The Financial Times in May, adding that removing the former president from the platform over fears he would incite further violence was a “morally bad decision.”

One of Musk’s first moves as owner of Twitter was to fire a number of top executives, including Chief Legal Officer Vijaya Gadde, who was behind the decision to ban the former president from Twitter permanently last January.

The billionaire says he also intends to scrap Twitter’s policy of issuing lifelong bans from the platform, prompting speculation that Trump may be allowed back on.

Note: Let’s see what the future brings and who comes back. I know for myself it would be nice to get my verified account back.

It’s official. After months of speculation, Elon Musk has purchased Twitter.

Musk, who also owns Tesla and SpaceX, wasted no time letting everyone know there was a new sheriff in town at the social media company:

First he changed his Twitter bio to read “Chief Twit”

Then he tweeted: ‘the bird is free”

What it cost: Musk paid $44 billion for the company – roughly $54.20 per share. This is in line with the original offer he proposed back in April.

Taking out the trash: In the first 24 hours as the sole owner of the social platform, Musk fired CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, and General Counsel Sean Edgett.

Musk also fired Vigaya Cadde – the woman who made the decision to ban President Trump while he was still in office.

What happens next?

Bloomberg is reporting that Musk intends to become Twitter’s CEO and reverse lifetime bans on users [Trump?]. Other than that, I see two things to keep an eye on:

1️⃣ Free speech: Musk has made it very clear that this purchase is about preserving free speech.

In an open letter, Musk wrote: “The reason I acquired Twitter is because it is important to the future of civilization to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner… That said, Twitter obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape.”

If you’re wondering what free speech looks like in a Musk-controlled Twitter, he said this back in April: “By ‘free speech,’ I simply mean that which matches the law.”

2️⃣ Profitability: Twitter, in its never-ending quest to build woke-topia, was not a financially successful company. Musk obviously needs to turn that around if he wants to successfully run this free speech platform.

There were reports that Musk plans to fire 75% of the staff, although there are reports that he told staff otherwise when he visited.

In the same letter referenced above, Musk told advertisers: “Twitter aspires to be the most respected advertising platform in the world that strengthens your brand and grows your enterprise.”

I’ll leave you with a final piece from Musk’s open letter:

“I didn’t do it because it would be easy. I didn’t do it to make more money. I did it to try to help humanity, whom I love.”

Everyone knows Joe Biden is a ‘lying dog-faced pony soldier’ – but this blatant lie was one of his worst…

The lie: Biden was speaking at a community college in Syracuse, New York when he told the audience:

“Today, the most common price of gas in America is $3.39 — down from over $5 when I took office.”

The truth: His entire statement is a lie.

Today, the average gas price is $3.77 per gallon – not $3.39

When Biden took office, Donald Trump left him gas prices that were $2.39 per gallon – not “over $5”

…gas prices only reached “over $5” this past summer – thanks to a combination of Joe Biden’s destructive energy, economic, and geopolitical policies.

Sen. Ted Cruz summed it up best on Twitter:

“This is a blatant lie. And — even in his diminished state — @JoeBiden knows it.

Every single media ‘fact checker’ has a responsibility to unequivocally call out this, quite literal, gas lighting.”

…for the most part, the usual “fact checkers” did not bother to correct this giant lie. I will give credit to Snopes, which was the only one I could find.

This is a blatant lie. And—even in his diminished state—@JoeBiden knows it.

WHO WILL GOVERN?

With the midterm elections less than two weeks away, we’re doing a deep dive into the House, Senate, and Governor’s races.

We covered the Senate races, which you can read here.

Today we’re talking about the Governor’s races, where the Republicans currently hold 28 state governor’s seats and Democrats hold 22.

This cycle, 34 of those seats are up for re-election.

Governors forecast: There are a lot of election analysts out there, but for the sake of this article, we’re going to use Real Clear Politics.

They forecast:

Republicans end up with 31 governors

Democrats end up with 19 governors

…that’s a 3 state pick-up for Republicans.

In this scenario:

Democrats take two seats held by Republicans [Massachusetts, Maryland]

Republicans take five seats held by Democrats [Kansas, Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, and Wisconsin].

Other races where we have a shot:

In Pennsylvania, Doug Mastriano

(R) is running against Josh Shapiro (D) and current Gov. Tom Wolf (D) reaches his term limit. The polls have Shapiro up by about 6%. But President Trump is going all in to help Mastriano close the gap and is doing a rally in PA the night before the election.

In New York, Lee Zeldin (R) is running against incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul (D). Polls have Hochul up by about 6%; But after a strong debate performance by Zeldin this week, I think we’ll see that gap close a bit.

Honorable mention:

We’re not concentrating on Republican heavy-hitters like Ron DeSantis, Kristi Noem, and Greg Abbott in this article because they’re going to blow out their opponents and keep their seats.

The same goes for Kari Lake, the Trump-endorsed candidate in Arizona who has never been in politics. The latest polls have her up 10 points.

While we can see the massive, red wave on the horizon, this isn’t the time to take our foot off the gas.

Make sure your calendar is clear to vote on election day. Offer to drive a [Republican] family member or friend to the polls with you. And if you can’t make it on election day, vote early.

Try to say that five times fast.

Anytime you see a news outlet “fact check” a Republican… think about this:

Senator Ted Cruz went into the hags’ den, as a guest on the daytime TV show ‘The View.

When the hosts brought up the January 6 Capitol riot, Cruz said:

“Did I miss an entire year of Antifa riots where cities across this country were burning…?”

Those of us who don’t stream a 24/7 diet of CNN and MSNBC of course remember waking up every morning in the summer of 2020 to new footage of cities being burned and violent gang attacks on innocent people.

But Newsweek “fact checkers” saw it differently, labeling Cruz’s claim as “False”.

Here’s what they said:

First, they admitted that “more than 1,500 businesses were damaged through a combination of fires and vandalism in the days that followed [George Floyd’s] death.”

But they took issue with Cruz’s wording, saying:

“While many businesses were damaged or destroyed as a result of arson, Cruz’s characterization that ‘cities’ burned for a year is significantly stretching the truth, even if taken figuratively.”

…so they admit 1,500 businesses were damaged. But Cruz said it in a mean way, so its “false.”

Conservative reporter Chris Rufo put it perfectly:

“Remember: fact-checking is a scheme to launder left-wing messaging through a pseudo-scientific process and pressure tech firms to censor conservatives.”

CAN GOP TAKE THE SENATE?

Today we’re talking about the Senate races, where the chamber is currently split between 50 Republicans and 50 Democrats with Vice President Kamala Harris as the tie-breaking vote. That means Republicans need to gain just 1 seat to take back majority control of the Senate.

There are 35 Senate seats up for re-election this cycle. 21 are currently held by Republicans. 14 are held by Democrats. And most of these seats are either reliably Democrat or reliably Republican. But…

A few key races are going to decide the balance of power in the Senate for the next two years. Here’s where you should be looking:

In Pennsylvania, Dr. Oz (R) and John Fetterman (D) are battling over an open Senate seat. Polls have had Fetterman up by about 1% up until now. But after last night’s disastrous debate performance [clips below], I think you’re going to see Oz pull ahead.

In Ohio, J.D. Vance (R) is challenging incumbent Senator Tim Ryan (D). Vance is up by several points in all recent polls. As long as Ohioans turn out, this will be a key Republican pick-up.

In Georgia, Hershel Walker (R) is challenging incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock (D). The polling average gives Warnock less than a 1% edge, making this a true toss-up. I believe the Governor’s race [which we’ll talk about tomorrow], where the Republican is going to crush Stacey Abrams, is going to help get Walker across the finish line as voters vote red down the ballot.

In Nevada, Adam Laxalt (R) is challenging incumbent Senator Catherine Cortez Mastro (D). Laxalt is up in the polls by about 1%. I don’t trust Nevada elections – I think they’re corrupt [topic for another day] but this could be a big pickup for Republicans.

In Arizona, Blake Masters (R) is challenging incumbent Senator Mark Kelly (D). Polling averages have Mark Kelly up by about 2.5%. But similar to Georgia, I am hoping that the tremendous popularity of Kari Lake, the GOP candidate for Governor, helps bring pull Masters across the finish line.

Senate forecast: There are a lot of election analysts out there, but for the sake of this article, we’re going to use Real Clear Politics. They forecast:

Republicans end up with 53 seats

Democrats end up with 47 seats

…a 3-seat pick-up that would give Republicans control of the Senate.

While we can see the massive, red wave on the horizon, this isn’t the time to take our foot off the gas. Make sure your calendar is clear to vote on election day. Offer to drive a [Republican] family member or friend to the polls with you. And if you can’t make it on election day, vote early.

VAX MANDATE OVERTURNED IN NYC

The New York Supreme Court overturned what it called an “arbitrary and capricious” Covid-19 vaccine mandate for New York City employees.

In their ruling, the court reinstated all employees who had been fired for not being vaccinated and ordered they be given back pay.

Back up: Earlier this year, NYC Mayor Eric Adams [Democrat] fired roughly 2,000 city workers including police, teachers, and firemen over their refusal to get the Covid vaccine.

NY Supreme Court Justice Ralph Porzio pointed out how Mayor Adams was picking favorites by lifting the mandate for artists and athletes, but not for city workers:

“There is nothing in the record to support the rationality of keeping a vaccination mandate for public employees while vacating the mandate for private sector employees or creating a carveout for certain professions, like artists, athletes or performers.”

“This is clearly and arbitrary and capricious action because we are dealing with identical unvaccinated people being treated differently by the same administrative agency.”

This judge seems like a really solid guy. He also added:

“The vaccination mandate for [New York] City employees was not just about safety and public health; it was about compliance.”

The Democrat regime in NY plans to appeal the judge’s ruling, saying they “strongly disagrees with this ruling as the mandate is firmly grounded in law and is critical to New Yorkers’ public health.”

With the most important midterm elections in our lifetimes in November 2022, we’re going to cover everything you need to know about the House, Senate, and Governors races.

Today we’re looking at the House of Representatives where the Democrats currently hold a narrow 220-212 majority, with 3 vacant seats. That means the Republicans only need to pick up 6 seats to take majority control.

House forecast: There are a lot of election analysts out there, but for the sake of this article, we’re going to use Real Clear Politics.

They forecast:

Republicans likely take 225 seats

Democrats likely take 175 seats

35 seats are a toss-up

…under these circumstances, even if Democrats take every toss-up [they won’t], the GOP still takes control.

Follow the money: According to Axios, the situation for House Democrats is so bad, that the party is having to pull its money from toss-up races and invest it into races that should be low-cost, easy wins for Democrats.

Axios gives an example:

“Last week, the Democrats’ House Majority PAC moved funds from an Oregon district Biden carried by nine points to salvage a suburban Portland district Biden won by 13 points.”

The generic Congressional ballot also points to a red wave hitting the House. When asking which party voters plan to vote for in the midterm congressional elections, here are the results from the 10 most recent, major polls [all conducted in October]:

Emerson: GOP +5

Rasmussen: GOP +4

Economist: GOP +1

NBC News: GOP +1

Monmouth: GOP +6

Politico: Dems +1

CNBC: GOP +2

CBS News: GOP +2

Harvard/Harris: GOP +6

Trafalgar: GOP +5

What’s moving voters?

Nancy Pelosi told a reporter that when people ask them about inflation, Democrats “have to change the subject.”

And there’s a reason she doesn’t want to talk about it:

79% of voters say that the economy is important to their voting decisions – the highest among 18 issues presented to them. [Pew Research]

When asked which party they trust to handle the economy, voters said:

22% chose Democrats

36% chose Republicans [+14 prefer GOP]

…that’s a very bad recipe for Democrats.

While we can see the massive, red wave on the horizon, this isn’t the time to take our foot off the gas. Make sure your calendar is clear to vote on election day. Offer to drive a [Republican] family member or friend to the polls with you. And if you can’t make it on election day, vote early.

Sportswear giant Adidas has terminated its partnership with rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, following a string of antisemitic remarks made by the rapper and fashion designer.

Adidas released a statement saying:

“Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”

Ironically, the break up came just over a week after Ye said:

“I can say antisemitic things, and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what? Now what?”

Back up: The controversy started a few weeks back when Ye tweeted:

“death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.”

He followed that up with a string of public comments attacking the “Jewish media” and “Jewish Zionists” for allegedly profiting off black people in music and sports…

Ye [sort of] apologized while appearing on the Piers Morgan show, saying:

“I feel like I caused hurt and confusion. And I’m sorry for the families of the people that had nothing to do with [his issues].”

The finances: Ye and Adidas’ partnership generates roughly $2 billion per year. It’s estimated that the split will result in a lost net income of $246 million for the sportswear giant in 2022.

Zoom out: Adidas is one of the many organizations that have split ties with Ye over his comments. The others include: Balenciaga, Vogue, and CAA [the agency that represents him]. He has also been banned from Twitter and Instagram.

JUSTICE FOR LOLA

A 12-year-old French girl was brutally raped, murdered, and stuffed into a suitcase by an illegal immigrant that shouldn’t have been there in the first place. And citizens across Europe are taking to the streets to demand accountability – and justice for Lola.

Gruesome details: On October 14, the mutilated body of 12-year-old Lola was found folded up in a plastic suitcase outside her family’s housing project in Paris.

Her official cause of death was asphyxiation, but a law enforcement source told the Daily Mail:

“Evidence suggests that the girl was taken into the basement of the flat, where she was tortured and raped before being strangled and having her throat cut.”

Police have charged a homeless Algerian woman who was in the country illegally with the murder. The alleged killer, Dahbia b, arrived in France in 2016 on a student visa but overstayed and was given notice as recently as August to leave the country.

Dabhia has been charged with the murder of a minor in connection with a rape committed with acts of torture and barbarism.

Five others have been arrested in connection with the crime including Dahbia’s sister and a man who let her hide out in his car.

French conservatives have placed the blame on the country’s unenforced immigration policies:

Oliver Marleix, the president of Les Republicains National Assembly said: “This murder should not have happened.

The assassin should not have been in France. There is a very deep emotion in our country.”

Trump Says 2024 GOP Presidential Primary Run By Mike Pence Would Be ‘Very Disloyal’

Donald Trump has complained that it would be “very disloyal” if former Vice President Mike Pence or any other member of his Cabinet decided to run against him in the GOP primary for the 2024 presidential race.

“Many of them have said they would never run if I run, so we’ll see whether or not that turns out to be true,” the former president said, referring to his Cabinet members, in a phone interview with Fox News Radio host Brian Kilmeade.

“I think it would be very disloyal if they did,” Trump added.

While a frontrunner among Republican voters in possible matchups, Trump falsely boasted to Kilmeade that polls “have me leading by 40, 50 points” against contenders.

Trump said he’ll decide whether to run for the presidency again “in the not-too-distant future.”

Pence, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley have all indicated that they might be considering a run for the GOP presidential nomination.

Pence delivered several stealth digs at Trump earlier this week in a speech at a Heritage Foundation event in Washington, D.C., and complained about “unprincipled populism.”

We cannot “allow our movement to be led astray by the siren song of unprincipled populism that’s unmoored from our oldest traditions and most cherished values,” Pence said.

When Pence was asked this week if he’d vote for Trump if he runs, he responded: “Well, there might be somebody else I’d prefer more.”

Pence has not yet responded to Trump’s “disloyal” comment.

An advisory panel for the CDC voted unanimously [via Zoom, of course] to add the Covid-19 vaccine to the 2023 Vaccine Schedule for children – a move that could force children in several states to take the vaccine in order to attend public school.

The details: All 15 members of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted in favor of recommending that children between 6 months and 18 years should receive the two-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

The decision still needs final approval from the CDC, but the agency usually follows the recommendations of its advisor panel.

Fake “fact-checks”: You’re going to read a lot of “fact checks ” today from the media, telling you this decision does not force kids to get the vaccine.

Here’s the truth:

This vote by the CDC does not technically mandate that children take the vaccine. It’s a “recommendation.” BUT…

More than a dozen states follow the CDC’s vaccine schedule and require kids to follow it in order to go to school.

Big picture: The whole point of mandating immunization for children as a requirement for attending public school is to prevent community spread. So what is the rationalization for mandating the Covid-19 vaccine when we know it doesn’t prevent transmission?

Republicans vow to protect choice: Several high-profile Republican governors and candidates have vowed to oppose the CDC’s recommendation:

Gov. Ron DeSantis tweeted: “As long as I am Governor, in Florida, there will not be a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for children in our schools.”

Kari Lake, who is running for governor in Arizona tweeted: “Thanks but no thanks, CDC.”

Doud Mastriano, who is running for governor of Pennsylvania said that the state “will not mandate the COVID vaccine — no matter what the CDC says.”

Protecting big pharma: This is a little in the weeds, but it’s worth mentioning.

Let’s break down his this is a move to ultimately protect big pharma from liability:

The Covid-19 vaccines for kids are still under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), which shields pharmaceutical companies from liability if something happens to the child.

Soon the EUA will run out, but by then the CDC will have likely granted full approval.

The catch is, once a vaccine gets full approval, the vaccine maker is liable for any injuries.

EXCEPT if the vaccine is on the CDC’s Vaccine Schedule – which exempts the vaccine maker from liability.

…so is this just a move by the CDC, which has already shown itself to be a shill for big pharma, to protect the vaccine-makers from liability? Hmm.

Joe Biden announced that he plans to release another 15 million barrels of oil from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) and when a reporter suggested it was “politically motivated” – Biden snapped.

Back up: The SPR is our emergency reserve of oil meant for use during times of national emergency like war and natural disasters. It’s not meant to be used to cover up the failed energy policies of a failing president.

Over the past 6 months, Biden has already released 180 million barrels from the SPR in an attempt to bring down gas prices. This has resulted in our emergency reserves currently sitting at their lowest level in 40 years.

For the first time ever, the U.S. military was rated “weak”, according to a comprehensive annual report on military strength. Thanks, Joe Biden.

The 2023 Index of Military Strength is authorized by the Heritage Foundation and is a report card for the military’s performance over the previous year.

It scores based:

U.S. military’s power

threats to U.S. vital national interests

operating environment

Weak: This is the first “weak” rating the U.S. military has received in the nine-year history of the report. The scale ranges from “very weak, weak, marginal, strong, very strong.”

The report warns that the U.S. is “at growing risk of not being able to meet the demands of defending America’s vital national interests.”

In the previous year, the military received a ‘marginal’ score.

Cause for the ‘weak’ rating: The report notes that the military is facing a full-blown recruitment crisis and two successive years where the Biden administration submitted defense budgets that don’t keep up with the rate of inflation.

Adding to the strain are rising threats from China and Russia, in addition to Iran, North Korea, and others.

Some specific examples of military erosion cited in the report:

U.S. Navy: From 2005 to 2020, the U.S. fleet grew from 291 to 296 warships.
Meanwhile, China’s navy grew from 216 to 360.

U.S. Air Force: In the 1980s an Air Force pilot would fly over 300 hours per year. Today the average pilot flies fewer than 120 hours per year. That translates to pilots with significantly less training.

Not an indictment on servicemembers: Former U.S. Marine Dakota Wood, who is senior editor on the report, told the Daily Wire:

“[I]t’s not an indictment of the quality of the people. We have fantastic people working in the military services… but they’re using really old equipment, the military continues to shrink, and we just don’t have the readiness.”

Jason Selvig said on Twitter that he “brought protection” to Walker’s campaign rally, following allegations that the Senate candidate fathered undisclosed children and paid for a woman’s abortion

As Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker attempts to bounce back from recent claims that he secretly fathered multiple children and paid a woman to undergo an abortion, some are continuing to draw attention to the claims in unique ways. Case in point: comedian Jason Selvig, who took to the stage at one of the Republican’s recent campaign rallies to hand Walker a large roll of condoms.

In footage of the exchange, Selvig can be seen

approaching Walker as he exited a stage and unrolling a package of condoms. Walker then spoke to Selvig before walking away, though it’s unclear what he said.

Selvig is one half of the comedy duo The Good Liars, which are known for viral pranks that offer a political message.

Selvig also shared a photo of himself at the event, writing on Twitter: “A Herschel Walker rally can be scary. Luckily I brought protection.”

Walker has publicly denied claims that he’s paid for an abortion, but the woman who made the allegation (allegedly a former girlfriend of the athlete’s) showed The New York Times and The Daily Beast a $575 receipt she received from a women’s clinic in Atlanta after she had the procedure done. She also shared a copy of a $700 check that she alleged the former NFL athlete paid her back with.

Walker has said the claims that he paid for a former girlfriend’s abortion in 2009 are a “lie,” and that he simply sends money “to a lot of people.”

He told Fox News host Sean Hannity he had “no idea” who the woman making the accusation was.

“I haven’t seen it,” Walker said of the “get well” card he also allegedly sent the woman. “I send out so many get well — I send out so much of anything. But I can tell you right now, I never asked anyone to get an abortion. I never paid for an abortion, and it’s a lie. And I’m going to continue to fight.”

The allegations against Walker come as he has said he is staunchly pro-life, and expressed a belief that abortion should be outlawed in all cases. He has also condemned absentee fathers, despite accusations — including by his own son — that he himself is an absentee father.

Among the numerous public comments about the importance of fathers Walker has made are remarks from a 2021 interview with conservative social media personalities Diamond and Silk, when he said: “The father leaves in the Black family. He leaves the boys alone so they’ll be raised by their mom. If you have a child with a woman, even if you have to leave that woman — even if you have to leave that woman — you don’t leave that child.”

In recent months, however, Walker confirmed reports that he has three sons — two more than previously publicly acknowledged — and an adult daughter after The Daily Beast recovered a paternity suit from 2014 allegedly proving that the candidate fathered a 10-year-old boy whom he did not raise. Then two more children were revealed.

Walker’s son, Christian Walker — an aspiring right-wing social media star — has criticized his father as the allegations pile up, at one point tweeting “wear a condom” in response to the report about his ex-girlfriend’s alleged abortion.

The Jan. 6 Committee Has Helped Make Trump a Historic President

The House January 6 select committee has formally transmitted a subpoena to Donald Trump , compelling the former president to provide an accounting under oath about his potential foreknowledge of the Capitol attack and his broader efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

The subpoena of constitutional and investigative consequence made sweeping requests for testimony about some of the most key moments before January 6, as well as documents and communications about his role in multi-pronged “schemes” to return himself to office.

The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack issued a subpoena to Donald J. Trump, taking its most aggressive step yet and paving the way for a potentially historic court fight over whether a former president can be compelled to answer questions before a legislative panel looking into matters related to a continuing criminal investigation.

While the former president has suggested he might testify live before the committee, it was far more likely that the demand would lead to a protracted legal battle over whether he could be compelled to cooperate.

Note: Personally In my opinion one political party created a kangaroo court hearing full of leftist jesters and no real justice.

It’s been a witch trial to just hang over the heads of any Trump supporter involved.

The committee even put out a subpoena for my phone and text records that day. They also tried to informally reach out to me to “chat” I ignored. I refuse to acknowledge them as well. Unfortunately if I had been forced to testify I would have had to as I have no means to fight them.

After all of this it’s just another way they stole the vote and covered it up (poorly). Their hands were in the cookie jar. We caught them, there are big crumbs everywhere… But we are the ones who got punished.

Go figure.

Steve Bannon, a longtime ally of former President Donald Trump, was sentenced Friday to serve four months behind bars after defying a subpoena from the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

The judge allowed Bannon to stay free pending appeal and also imposed a fine of $6,500 as part of the sentence. Bannon was convicted in July of two counts of contempt of Congress: one for refusing to sit for a deposition and the other for refusing to provide documents.

U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols handed down the sentence after saying the law was clear that contempt of Congress is subject to a mandatory minimum sentence of at least one month behind bars. Bannon’s lawyers had argued the judge could have sentenced him to probation instead. Prosecutors had asked for Bannon to be sent to jail for six months.

The House panel had sought Bannon’s testimony over his involvement in Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Bannon has yet to testify or provide any documents to the committee, prosecutors wrote.

Prosecutors argued Bannon, 68, deserved the longer sentence because he had pursued a “bad faith strategy” and his public statements disparaging the committee itself made it clear he wanted to undermine their effort to get to the bottom of the attack and keep anything like it from happening again.

Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon’s trial concluded today as he was sentenced to four months in prison and dealt a $6,500 fine.

Bannon was stoic throughout the proceedings, in contrast with when the jury announced his guilty verdict and he was smiling and animated. Yet after the judge announced he would not have to serve the jail time while he appeals, Bannon cracked a smirk.

He thanked his attorney David Schoen several times — and just before exiting the courtroom after the proceeding ended, he walked up to the lectern facing the judge, put his hands down as if he were going to speak, then walked away.

And in one of his most unusual choices in a federal sentencing, where defendants often take great pains to show respect for the court, Bannon did not wear a suit. Instead, he had on a barn coat and several navy blue shirts.

There were also some dramatic moments from Bannon and his legal team.

Schoen argued much more forcefully — yelling at some points — as he railed against the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack, the Democratic-led Congress, and the Justice Department, several times cracking open his paperback copy of the Federalist Papers to read quotes from James Madison.

“It’s a case in which Mr. Bannon should make no apology. No American should make any apology,” Schoen said in a nearly 30-minute argument in which the judge didn’t interrupt him at all.

Schoen pointed out that Bannon had great respect for the executive branch, thus his willingness to try to keep information Trump might not want others to learn from the committee.

Recap Breakdown:

Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon was sentenced to four months in prison for contempt of Congress after defying a subpoena from the Jan. 6 committee. He was also fined $6,500.

Bannon will not have to serve the sentence until the appeal of his conviction plays out, the federal judge said. The ex-Trump aide was seeking probation and a delayed sentencing pending his appeal.

The sentence is less than what federal prosecutors sought. The Justice Department wanted Bannon be sentenced to six months and be fined $200,000.

Bannon was found guilty in July of two counts of contempt of Congress. Friday’s sentencing is a milestone moment in the DOJ’s Jan. 6 response, as prosecutors say by “flouting” the subpoena, Bannon “exacerbated” the assault on the rule of law that the US Capitol attack amounted to.

Editors Note: it’s all bullshit, hopefully Nov will bring enough votes from the Right to dissolve the committee find it to be moot and erase all these types of sentencing including the subpoena on Trump. My question is will the right wing politicians do it?

BIDEN REGIME PREPARES TO MANDATE COVID VAX FOR KIDS

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has quietly scheduled a vote, taking place, to determine whether to add Covid-19 vaccines to the list of mandatory vaccines children must take to attend public school.

The vote will be made by a CDC advisory Panel called the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).

There are two separate votes taking place – and one determines the other.

Let’s break them down:

Vaccines for Children program: The CDC panel will vote to add Covid-19 vaccines to the ‘Vaccines for Children’ program, which is a taxpayer-funded program that provides vaccines for free to children from families that can’t afford them.

2023 vaccine schedule: The CDC panel will also vote to update the 2023 vaccine schedule for children and adolescents. This is the list of vaccines usually given to children, that states require for them to attend public school.

To be clear, the CDC agenda for these votes do not explicitly say that they’ll be voting to add the Covid-19 vaccine to the 2023 vaccine schedule. But experts say that vaccines that are part of the Vaccines for Children program must also be on the 2023 schedule.

According to Barbara Fisher, president of the National Vaccine Information Center:

“[V]accines covered by VFC have to be on the CDC recommended schedule.”

Does the CDC determine the vaccine schedule alone?

No, but yes. Once the ACIP panel votes today, it then needs to be approved by the CDC, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. But all three of these groups have been rabid proponents of the Covid-19 jabs.

Big picture: Parents have overwhelmingly rejected the Covid vaccines for their kids – because the virus has little to no effect on them.

Out of 47.5 million kids aged 11 and under, just over 9 million have gotten the covid vaccine. That’s about 20%.

So the Biden regime is using the CDC to ramp up those numbers by putting them in the 2023 vaccine schedule.

With the midterm elections here, another left-wing poll is flashing bright red warning signs for Democrats.

Details about the poll: The New York Times asked voters: “What do you think is the MOST important problem facing the country today?”

? The economy: 26%
? Inflation: 18%
? Immigration: 5%
? Abortion: 5%
? Crime: 3%

…so 44% of the country says economic issues (economy + inflation) are our biggest problem.

What’s worse for Democrats is another left-wing poll from CBS last week found that 48% of voters blame Democrat economic policies for harming the economy.

Boston University scientists have developed a new, deadlier strain of Covid in their lab – a wildly irresponsible experiment with the potential to spark a lab-created pandemic [again].

What went down: The scientists basically took the original, deadlier Wuhan strain of Covid as their base and added to it the spike protein from the Omicron, which makes it more contagious.

The spike protein is what allows the virus to bind to and invade human cells.

The result was a virus that killed 80% of the mice in their study.

By comparison, the mice only experienced mild symptoms when exposed to just Omicron.

The scientists caveat their findings, saying it would be much less deadly in humans because the type of mice they used is more susceptible to Covid than humans.

Back up: This type of risky virus manipulation is how many [myself included] believe Covid was originally created in the Wuhan lab – not from a wet market bat.

Boston University’s National Emerging Infectious Diseases Lab is one of just 13 biosafety level 4 labs in the U.S. These labs are where researchers work with dangerous diseases like Ebola.

This lab gets its funding from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases which is run by one other than Dr. Anthony Fauci.

NON-PARTISAN EXPERT IDENTIFIES FLAW IN DOMINION VOTING MACHINE

With the midterm elections in November 2022, a non-partisan election integrity expert claims he has identified a critical privacy flaw in the electronic voting machines sold by Dominion Voting Systems.

Back up: You may remember Dominion as the controversial voting machines that allies of President Trump claimed could be [and some claimed they were] manipulated by outside actors.

The claim: Alex Halderman is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan who has done work on election integrity that’s been cited on both sides of the political aisle.

So this isn’t Mike Lindell saying this [although I love Mike].

Alex tweeted:

“Colleagues and I have found a serious privacy flaw that affects Dominion ICP and ICE ballot scanners. We’ve already informed Dominion, CISA, EAC, and state officials”

The details: The ICP and ICE ballot scanners that Halderman mentions are used in 21 states across the U.S. The flaw he found could allow people to see your ballot and learn how you voted.

When you vote with a Dominion machine, you’re assigned a “record ID” number in sequential order based on when you vote.

After voting is complete, the ballots get “shuffled” by a central computer, but the original sequential IDs stay on the votes, allowing them to be easily unshuffled.

To be clear, this newly identified vulnerability doesn’t allege that someone can steal or change your vote. This vulnerability is all about privacy over your vote.

But privacy is vital to a free and fair voting system.

If someone fears their vote may be made public, it might motivate them to vote for the “acceptable” candidate rather than the one the media is against. That’s why this vulnerability is so dangerous.

Will it be fixed?

Halderman says that Dominion plans to correct the flaw after the midterm elections.

BREAKING DOWN THE J6 COMMITTEE SUBPOENA OF TRUMP

The January 6th Committee voted unanimously to subpoena former President Donald Trump to testify under oath about the Capitol riot.

Reminder, this is a corrupt committee: Typically on House committees, you have representation from both parties to ensure it’s fair and balanced. On this “committee” you have 7 Democrats and 2 infamous never-Trumpers, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, both of whom were hand selected by Nancy Pelosi.

Rep. Liz Cheney, the lame-duck Republican who just lost her House seat in the Wyoming primary, had this to say:

“The central cause of Jan. 6 was one man, Donald Trump, who many others followed. President Trump had a premeditated plan to declare that the election was fraudulent and stolen before Election Day.”

…to this day, after 16 months of investigations, countless hearings, subpoenas of phone records, e-mail records, and hours of forced testimonies – they still have zero evidence that Trump had anything to do with the violence on January 6.

What do they want to ask Trump?

According to the committee, they need Trump’s testimony in order to paint a complete picture of what took place on January 6.

What are Trump’s options?

I’ll lay them out in order of [what I see as] least likely to most likely:

Trump agrees and answers their questions
Trump agrees and asserts his Fifth Amendment rights
Trump refuses to comply
Trump challenges the subpoena in court

Separation of powers: Trump’s basis for challenging the subpoena would be the separation of powers between the three co-equal branches of government [Executive, Legislative, and Judicial].

If Republicans take control of the House in the midterm elections, they will disband the committee on day one. And with it will go Trump’s subpoena. That’s why I think it’s most likely he issues a legal challenge – delaying his testimony until after the election.

Big picture: Ask yourself: Why did the J6 committee wait until now to issue this subpoena?

Because it’s all about steering the media narrative away from the failures of Joe Biden and the Democrat party with the midterm elections in November 2022.

INFLATION BURNS HOTTER THAN EXPECTED

This is Joe Biden with ice cream gumming up his dentures, telling the American people that “the economy is strong as hell.”

Maybe he had a brain freeze. Because the last time I checked…

? Inflation was at 8.2% last month
Gas prices are up 18.2%
? Food prices are up 13%
? American’s wages went down 3% last month
? Wages have gone down for the past 18 months
? The S&P500 is down 25.3% on the year
? The Dow Jones is down 15.95% on the year

…by every measurable metric, the economy is not “strong as hell”

Inflation was up 8.2% in September 2022 compared to the same time last year, driven mostly by higher costs of food, energy, and rent – bad news for Democrats trying to focus voters’ attention away from economic issues with the midterm elections.

This is the 17th straight month with inflation reaching at least 5% or above and the 7th consecutive month above 8%.

Back up: Over a year ago, in July 2021, Joe Biden emphatically claimed:

“There’s nobody suggesting there’s unchecked inflation on the way — no serious economist.”

Under the hood of this month’s Consumer Price Index report, things look even uglier – specifically with Core Inflation which, unlike the headline number, removes food and energy prices from the equation.
Core inflation rose 6.6%. This is the biggest spike in 40 years.

Worker wages took a hit, declining by 3% in September when adjusted for inflation. This is the 18th consecutive month under Joe Biden that worker’s wages have gone down.

Let’s break this down by category.

The following are increases compared to the same time last year:

? Food at home: +13%
? Dining out: +8.5%
Gasoline: +18.2%
? Electricity: 15.5%
? Utility gas (home heating): 33.1%
? Rent: +7.2%
? New cars: +9.4%
? Used cars: +7.2%
? Clothing: +5.5%
Airline fares: +42.9%
? Bacon: +7.9%
? Flour: +24.2%
? Chicken +17.2%
? Eggs: +30.5%
? Milk: +15.2%

Politically this is very bad for Democrats heading into next month’s midterm elections. A recent Gallup poll found that voters rank economic issues (38%) as the top problem facing the country today. “Poor leadership” ranks second (22%) followed by immigration (6%).

Big picture: This report is especially bad because it comes in spite of the Federal Reserve taking aggressive action to try and bring inflation down by raising interest rates. This means they’ll likely raise the rates even high next month, which makes things like home mortgages, car loans, and credit card interest go higher.

Alex Jones of Info Wars owes 1 billion for his theories on the Sandy Hook shootings but is it Constitutional?

Jury says Alex Jones should pay $965 million to people who suffered from his lies about the Sandy Hook school massacre. $1 billion to Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims’ relatives and an FBI agent, who said he turned their loss and trauma into years of torment by promoting the lie that the rampage was a hoax.

Twenty children and six adults died in the shooting on Dec. 14, 2012; relatives of five children and three educators sued in Connecticut. The trial was held at a courthouse in Waterbury, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) from Newtown, where the attack took place.

The lawsuit accused Jones and Infowars’ parent company, Free Speech Systems, of using a mass killing to build his audience and make millions of dollars. Experts testified that Jones’ audience swelled, as did his revenue from product sales when he made Sandy Hook a topic on the show.

The jury awarded various sums to the victims’ relatives, who testified that they were threatened and harassed for years by people who believed the lies told on Jones’ show. Strangers showed up at the families’ homes to record them. People hurled abusive comments on social media.

Mark Barden testified that conspiracy theorists urinated on the grave of his 7-year-old son, Daniel, and threatened to dig up the coffin; Barden and his wife were together awarded about $86 million. Now-retired FBI Agent William Aldenberg, awarded $90 million, described the horror he saw at the school as he responded alongside other law enforcement and his outrage at seeing online claims that he was an actor.

Erica Lafferty, the daughter of slain Sandy Hook principal Dawn Hochsprung, testified that people mailed rape threats to her house.

“I wish that after today, I can just be a daughter grieving my mother and stop worrying about the conspiracy theorists,” Lafferty said outside court. But she predicted that Jones’ “hate, lies, and conspiracy theories will follow both me and my family through the rest of our days.”

To plaintiff William Sherlach, the verdict “shows that the internet is not the wild, wild West and that your actions have consequences.”

He had testified about seeing online posts that falsely posited that the shooting was a hoax; that his slain wife, school psychologist Mary Sherlach, never existed; that he was part of a financial cabal and somehow involved with the school shooter’s father; and more. He told jurors the shooting deniers’ vitriol made him worry for his family’s safety.

“Going forward — because, unfortunately, there will be other horrific events like this — people like Alex Jones will have to rethink what they say,” Sherlach said.

The $965 million verdict is the second big judgment against the Infowars host for spreading the “myth” that the deadliest school shooting in U.S. history never happened and that the grieving families seen in news coverage were actors hired as part of a plot to take away people’s guns.

The verdict came in a defamation lawsuit filed by some of the families of 26 people who were killed in the 2012 shooting, plus an FBI agent who was among the first responders. A Texas jury in August awarded nearly $50 million to the parents of another slain child.

Robbie Parker, who lost his 6-year-old daughter, Emilie, said outside the Connecticut court that he was proud that “what we were able to accomplish was just to simply tell the truth.”

“And it shouldn’t be this hard, and it shouldn’t be this scary,” said Parker, who became an early target of conspiracy theorists after he spoke at a news conference the day after the shooting. The jury awarded him the most of any plaintiff: $120 million.

With this almost $1bn Fine InfoWars of Talk Radio’s Alex Jones Faces Bankruptcy.

Alex Jones was ordered to pay nearly $ 1 billion in damages to the families of the victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting for falsely claiming the massacre was a hoax.

The $965m compensation decision was reached by a jury following a three-week civil trial in Waterbury, Connecticut, not far from where a gunman killed 20 children and six staff members at Sandy Hook Elementary in the deadliest school shooting in US history.

Lawyers for families of eight victims during closing arguments last week said Mr. Jones cashed in for years on lies about the shooting, which drove traffic to his website InfoWars and boosted sales of its various products.

InfoWars could be pushed to declare bankruptcy if forced to pay the full amount – one of the highest defamation awards in US history.

Testifying during the trial, Jones acknowledged he had been wrong about Sandy Hook. The shooting was real, he said. But in the courtroom and on his show, he was defiant.

He called the proceedings a “kangaroo court,” mocked the judge, called the plaintiffs’ lawyer an ambulance chaser and labeled the case an affront to free speech rights. He claimed it was a conspiracy by Democrats and the media to silence him and put him out of business.

“I’ve already said ‘I’m sorry’ hundreds of times, and I’m done saying I’m sorry,” he told jurors.

Jones wasn’t at court but reacted on his Infowars show.

As courtroom video showed the jury awards being read out, Jones said that he himself had never mentioned the plaintiffs’ names.

“All made up. Hilarious,” he said. “So this is what a show trial looks like. I mean, this is the left completely out of control.”

Jones’s lawyer, Norm Pattis, portrayed the trial as unfair and pledged to appeal.

“Today is a very, very, very dark day for freedom of speech,” he said outside court.

Jones now faces a third trial, in Texas, in a lawsuit filed by the parents of another child killed in the shooting.

It is unclear how much of the verdicts Jones can afford to pay. During the trial in Texas, he testified he couldn’t afford any judgment over $2 million, and his lawyers plan to appeal and try to reduce the damages there. Free Speech Systems has filed for bankruptcy protection.

But an economist testified in the Texas proceeding that Jones and his company were worth as much as $270 million.

A lawyer for the families in the Connecticut case, Josh Koskoff, said that “if this verdict shuts down Alex Jones, good.”

“He’s been walking in the shadow of death to try to profit on the backs of people who have just been devastated,” Koskoff said. “That is not a business model that should be sustainable in the United States.

If they think they’re finally getting rid of Alex Jones… THEY’RE IN FOR A BIG SURPRISE!!!

Alex Jones reacts to the verdict: “They want to scare everybody away from freedom… We’re not scared, and we’re not going away, and we’re not going to stop.”

So, does this mean we can sue Fauci and Biden for our suffering from the lies they told???

Is it Constitutional?
Does it open Pandora’s box?
Does this mean Trump wins his lawsuits?
Can we?

I honestly think even if Alex Jones was wrong these lawsuits are a danger to free speech in general, how about the countless organizations that really claim to be needed that spread hate and misinformation and cause their watchers to mentally and physically abuse those on the right?!

Should I be able to now create a lawsuit myself against all those for making it harder to have a career?

So, Alex Jones acknowledged he was wrong, repeatedly, and is ordered to pay $1 billion.

For perspective, the largest fine paid by a banking executive responsible for the 2008 Financial Crisis was $67.5 million.

Alex Jones physically hurt nobody, this isn’t about what he said, this was done to silence questioning anything.

Who hurt more people?

Thousands of executive branch employees owned and traded stocks in companies their agencies directly oversee, raising ethical concerns over whether these federal employees were creating policies to benefit their own investments.

The scope of the investigation:

The Wall Street Journal reached out to 50 different federal agencies, from the Commerce Department to the Treasury Department, and collected a total of 31,000 financial disclosure forms from 2016 to 2021.

What was uncovered in that trove of documents:

More than 2,600 federal officials were owning and traded stocks in companies while those same companies were lobbying their agencies.

Here are some examples:

The Food and Drug Administration improperly let an official own dozens of food and drug stocks on its no-buy list.

A Defense Department official bought stock in a defense company five times before it won new business from the Pentagon.

More than 200 senior EPA officials, nearly one in three, reported investments in companies that were lobbying the agency.

Is this illegal?

The short answer is, mostly no.

There are ethics rules in place regarding stock trades, but the federal government also carves out a lot of exemptions that allow employees to get around the rules.

And according to the WSJ report:

“When financial holdings caused a conflict, the agencies sometimes simply waived the rules.”

Big picture:

This type of legalized corruption isn’t unique to the executive branch. The legislative branch does the same thing. Last year Nancy Pelosi, who has gotten filthy rich by investing in stocks she directly affects, rejected a bill that would have prevented members of congress and their spouses from trading individual stocks.

The Biden regime reportedly tried to convince Saudi Arabia and the rest of OPEC to delay their planned oil production cuts until after the midterm elections, using U.S. foreign policy for clearly partisan political purposes.

Remember: OPEC, a group of 13 powerful oil-producing countries, announced it would cut oil production by 2 million barrels per day, in spite of Biden’s public objections.

Also remember, historically Saudi Arabia has been a key ally in the Middle East.

Digging deeper:

According to this report, which spoke to administration officials familiar with the talks, Biden told the Saudis that if they didn’t delay their production cuts by one month, it would be seen as them siding with Russia in the war in Ukraine. Biden also said it would cause the U.S. to reconsider its support for Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia dismissed the request and according to this report, viewed it “as a political gambit by the Biden administration to avoid bad news ahead of the U.S. midterm elections.”

What the Biden regime says:

Adrienne Watson, a National Security Council spokeswoman said:

“It’s categorically false to connect this to U.S. elections. It’s about the impact of this shortsighted decision on the global economy.”

…but if this were truly about the “global” economy, as Watson says, then why is the specific timeline delaying the cut until after the midterm elections?

Is the war in Ukraine going to expire in November? The answer is no.

This is Biden doing what Biden has done his entire swampy, political career. He extorts foreign countries for his own political and financial benefit.

SUPREME COURT IS BACK IN SESSION

The Supreme Court is back in session after its end-of-summer hiatus and issued several high-profile rulings.

Here’s a rundown of the most important decisions:

Fetal personhood:

The court declined to take up a case that would determine whether an unborn baby is entitled to have constitutional rights.

This case originated in 2019 when a pro-life group called Catholics for Life, along with two pregnant women, sued the state of Rhode Island over its law codifying the right to an abortion.

At the time the Rhode Island Supreme Court ruled that they didn’t have the legal standing to bring the case.

After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Rade this summer, the plaintiffs in Rhode Island asked the court to take up their case.

The Supreme Court declined without comment.

Mail-in ballots:

In a win for election integrity, the court vacated a lower court ruling that forced Pennsylvania to count mail-in ballots that had no date on the envelope.

This stems from a small election for the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania, where the plaintiff, David Ritter, ran and lost the race because 257 mail-in ballots that didn’t have dates were counted.

Pennsylvania Republicans were concerned that this precedent could affect the outcome of the 2022 midterm elections.

Pennsylvania law stipulates that the date must be written on the outer envelope of mail-in ballots.

The justices ruled 7-2 that the 3rd Circuit must “dismiss the case as moot.”

Church shooter:

The Supreme Court rejected an appeal from Dylann Roof, the man who was convicted in the racially-motivated murder of nine people in a South Carolina church in 2015.

Roof wanted the court to review how to handle disagreements over the sharing of mental illness evidence.

The court denied his appeal without comment.

A top Pfizer executive made a shocking admission: The pharmaceutical giant did not now know if their Covid mRNA vaccine would prevent transmission before it was rolled out to the public.

How it went down:

Janine Small, President of Pfizer’s international development market, was testifying before the European Parliament when a member of the Dutch Parliament named Rob Roos asked:

Rob Roos: “Was the Pfizer Covid vaccine tested on stopping the transmission of the virus before it entered the market?”

Back up to April 1, 2021 [four months after the Pfizer vaccine received emergency use authorization from the FDA]: Pfizer’s CEO Albert Bourla tweeted:

“Excited to share that updated analysis from our Phase 3 study with BioNTech also showed that our COVID-19 vaccine was 100% effective in preventing #COVID19 cases in South Africa. 100%!”

Shortly after, in May, Dr. Fauci said the likelihood of a vaccinated person transmitting Covid was “very, very low.”

…remember, the entire rationalization for vaccine mandates was that they prevented the spread of Covid to others.

“Pandemic of the unvaccinated”:

And let us never forget how in December of 2021, Joe Biden sought to divide and bludgeon the American people who were vaccine-hesitant. I will never forget him saying:

“This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. The unvaccinated. Not the vaccinated, the unvaccinated. That’s the problem. Everybody talks about freedom and not having a shot or having a test. Well, guess what? How about patriotism? How about making sure that you’re vaccinated, so you do not spread the disease to anyone else.”

Real talk: We didn’t need to hear it from a Pfizer executive to know that the vaccine doesn’t stop the spread of covid. The reality on the ground proved that wrong over a year ago. But this admission, for the first time, tells us that Pfizer [and the government] knew this from the very beginning. But they lied to us and said otherwise. They rationalized vaccine mandates based on this lie. People lost their ability to feed their families based on this lie. And if you ask me, it’s criminal.

THE OIL CRISIS DIDN’T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY

As supply constraints on oil cause gas prices to skyrocket, a new report found that the U.S. could be producing million more barrels of oil per day if Biden had simply continued the Trump administration’s energy policies.

Dig deeper:

The report, produced by The Committee to Unleash Prosperity, looked at production trends between price and output. And it found that if Biden kept Trump’s energy policies,
the U.S. would be producing between 2 and 3 million more barrels of oil per day
we would be producing between 20 and 25 billion more cubic feet of natural gas per day.

It also found that the U.S. is losing nearly $100 billion in annual energy output due to Biden’s energy policies.

Back up:

Despite Biden’s repeated claims that he is “doing all I can” to reduce the price of gas, the truth is he’s:

canceled new pipelines
reduced drilling on public lands
raised taxes on the oil and gas industry
created new environmental standards that make producing oil more expensive

Then vs. now:

According to the U.S.Department of Energy, oil production peaked in 2019 under Trump at 13 million barrels per day. The latest data [April 2022] under Biden was roughly 11.6 million.

The United States doesn’t have to be energy slaves and beggars to the Saudis and the rest of the OPEC oil cartel.

This is a choice being made by Joe Biden and the Democrats.

PFIZER TEAMS WITH MARVEL TO PUSH THE VAX ON KIDS

Pfizer has teamed up with Marvel Comics to help promote covid mRNA vaccines to children through a new comic book that features Captain America, Iron Man, and the rest of the Avengers.

Details: Alongside the superheroes, the comic book casts regular people as “everyday heroes” for taking the covid vaccine.

Here are some excerpts from the comic:

“You’re among everyday heroes every day! The Construction worker, the florist, the painter… everyday heroes are everywhere in your community.”

“We all need to do our part. So, vaccinate, and stay up to date with the latest recommended booster for you. And be an everyday hero!”

The plot of the comic basically casts a well-known Marvel villain named Ultron to represent the covid virus. Then Iron Man develops a new “cannon”, which represents the Pfizer mRNA vaccine, to be able to shoot Ultron.

The comic says the Avengers have to continue “adapting” to defeat the “mutating” Ultron.

In other words… Make sure you take the 500 booster shots they roll out. ?

Pfizer said, in a Twitter post:

“When Ultron wreaks havoc, the Avengers act as the first line of defense. People can help protect themselves by staying up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations.”

Big picture: Covid very rarely affects the young children Pfizer is trying to reach with this comic. Which only highlights that they don’t care about protecting kids. They care about tapping into the roughly 75 million kids under the age of 18 in the U.S. and selling more of their vaccines.

After widespread backlash, PayPal was forced to reverse its plans to charge users a $2,500 fine for posting “misinformation” online.

Thought police:

On September 26, the popular online payment platform published its updated Accepted Use Policy [AUP] which was to go into effect on November 3rd.

The update included a clause that gives the platform “sole discretion” to deduct $2,500 “debited directly from your PayPal account” if they believe you are:

“sending, posting, or publication of any messages, content, or materials that, in PayPal’s sole discretion, (a) are harmful, obscene, harassing, or objectionable … (e) depict, promote, or incite hatred or discrimination of protected groups or of individuals or groups based on protected characteristics (e.g. race, religion, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, etc.) … (g) are fraudulent, promote misinformation … or (i) are otherwise unfit for publication.”

Back up:

We’ve seen terms like “misinformation” and “discrimination” weaponized by the left before, especially when it comes to online censorship.

This policy by PayPal takes it a step further – not just wanting to censor you, but wanting to financially ruin you for saying things they disagree with.

Outrage:

The revelation led to widespread outrage online, with users posting screenshots of them canceling their accounts. Even PayPal’s former president, David Marcus objected to the policy change.

He tweeted:

“It’s hard for me to openly criticize a company I used to love and gave so much to. But @PayPal ’s new AUP goes against everything I believe in. A private company now gets to decide to take your money if you say something they disagree with. Insanity.”

Elon Musk, who ran PayPal up until 2000, replied to Marcus’ tweet saying: “Agreed”

The backtrack:

Facing fierce backlash for their Chinese Communist-style policy, PayPal backtracked and claimed the notice was an error.

They released a statement saying:

“An AUP notice recently went out in error that included incorrect information. PayPal is not fining people for misinformation and this language was never intended to be inserted in our policy. We’re sorry for the confusion this has caused.”

…that’s obviously a lie. You don’t accidentally write a policy and then publish the policy. If I write “Joe Biden likes to sniff children” in this newsletter and then send it to you, I can’t claim it “never intended to be inserted” in the newsletter.

At the very least, PayPal drafted the policy.

Even if they didn’t plan to publish it, it doesn’t change the fact that they thought about it.

Four headlines caught my eye recently. I’m going to lay them out and see if you notice any correlation…

? Elon Musk Warns of World War III [via TheStreet]

Let’s be clear… Nuclear war is so incredibly unlikely thanks to the mutually assured destruction that it would cause for all sides. But the spidey senses are definitely tingling.

What are Joe Biden and the western global elites up to and why are they intentionally trying to worry Americans about nuclear war with these coordinated news stories?

Your guess is as good as mine.

So let’s talk about the last article: Elon Musk Warns of World War III

Western democracies are united in their condemnation of Russia following its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine on February 24.

The war that has since followed has been unanimously criticized by NATO, which has provided crucial military and logistical aid to Kyiv since the start of the conflict.

For the countries of the West, to end the war, which has already caused thousands of deaths and the displacement of millions of others, Russia, the aggressor, must withdraw from Ukraine.

Musk has just disrupted that consensus by proposing a peace plan perceived as pro-Russian.

Elon is quoted as saying “I’m a big fan of Ukraine, but not of WW3”

Musk explains that his position was motivated by the fear of a world war, a fear which he had already exposed the day before by saying that the Russia-Ukraine conflict could escalate into an all-out war with enormous consequences not only for Ukraine but also for the world.

The CEO of Tesla proposed that Ukraine recognize that its region of Crimea, annexed in 2014 by Russia, is Russian territory and that Kyiv renounces its plans to become a member of NATO and the European Union.

Unsurprisingly, the plan was massively rejected by the Ukrainian authorities and the Ukrainians who see it as a request to capitulate. This is also the opinion in political circles in the West.

“Suggesting we end the Russian invasion by simply giving Russia parts of Ukraine – after all the suffering – is dumb,” lambasted US senator Lindsey Graham on Twitter on October 5. “It is also an affront to the bravery of the Ukrainians fighting to defend their homeland.”

After this intense criticism, Graham gave a lesson in history and diplomacy to Musk.

“It was an agreement signed by Russia that included protecting Crimea and the Donbas as part of Ukraine. If you want peace in Ukraine — which we ALL do — simply demand Russian honor the boundaries they agreed to in 1994 and withdraw their forces,” Graham added.

He continued: “To do otherwise is to legitimize a bait and switch by Russia and a signal to other bad actors to take what you want – by force! If Elon Musk and others want the world to continue to be in chaos, then by all means capitulate to Putin and reward his aggression.”

The Musk Response:

But the billionaire is not one of the CEOs who do not respond to attacks. The Musk brand is based on singularity and attacking regardless of the strength and power of the opponent. Musk strikes blow for blow and he has just proven it again by answering Graham point by point.

“Assuming you believe that the will of the people matters, we should, in any given conflict region, support the will of those who live there,” the tycoon responded. “Most of Ukraine unequivocally wants to be part of Ukraine, but some eastern portions have Russian majorities and prefer Russia.”

He then accompanied his remarks with an electoral map of Ukraine from 2012 – before the annexation of Crimea by Russia – whose aim was to show that there are regions of the country which are pro-Russian.

“Obviously, not everyone who voted for the pro-Russia party wanted to join Russia, but it would also be inaccurate to say that none did,” the billionaire added.

World War III:

This post caused supporters of Ukraine and Russia to accuse each other of bad behavior since 2012. To which Musk replied: “There are no angels in war.”

But all these explanations do not calm the critics who continue to corner him.

“The @elonmusk situation is clearly getting out of hand, and it seems like pride and vanity play a behemoth role in his attempt to pose as an expert on #Ukraine. Just stop, Elon. It’s ok to admit that you overdid smth. Just stop,” asked the Kyiv Post, which describes itself as the top international source of English-language news about Ukraine since 1995.

DOUBLE STANDARD AS BIDENS SON HUNTER STILL HASNT BEEN ARRESTED YET BIDEN ARRESTS PRO-LIFERS

Two sides of the coin, but what do you expect when it’s the son of the “President” as Federal prosecutors weighing charges on two fronts in Hunter Biden investigation.

The case against Biden narrowed earlier this year, and was a matter of discussion in early summer between FBI and IRS investigators, prosecutors in Delaware and the Justice Department, CNN previously reported. The discussions included assessing the strength of the case and questioning whether more work was needed before deciding on charges. [CNN]

Prosecutors have not yet made any charging decisions on the case and have not met since early summer to discuss the federal investigation, according to two sources familiar with the matter. A decision is not expected before the midterm election. (go figure)

The Wall Street Journal reported that Biden’s legal team met in “recent weeks” with Justice Department prosecutors to argue against a potential case.

“As is proper and legally required, we believe the prosecutors in this case are diligently and thoroughly weighing not just evidence provided by agents, but also all the other witnesses in this case, including witnesses for the defense,” Biden’s attorney Chris Clark said in a written statement to the Journal.

The Washington Post reported that prosecutors believe they have “sufficient evidence” to charge Biden, son of President Joe Biden, in two areas – tax crimes and a false statement regarding a gun purchase, the same crimes CNN reported in July were the focus of investigators’ discussions with the Justice Department.

These are BS charges. This crack head literally sold the U.S. out to our greatest enemies (with Joe’s blessing) and they want you to be satisfied with these slap-on-the-wrist charges. Don’t fall for it.

Meanwhile what’s more important to the “Biden Administration” is this…. and boy were they QUICK with it!

BIDEN ARRESTS PRO-LIFERS

The Biden Department of Justice is continuing its war on pro-life Americans, charging 11 protestors with federal crimes for peacefully protesting outside of an abortion clinic. Some could face up to 11 years in prison.

U.S. prosecutors have unveiled charges against 11 pro-life activists who they say violated federal law by blockading an abortion clinic in Tennessee in 2021.

Some of these protestors are senior citizens. One woman is 87 years old.

Back up:

These charges come one week after the DOJ raided the home of a Catholic pro-life activist in Pennsylvania, traumatizing his children. We covered that here.

FBI RAIDS CATHOLIC PRO-LIFER TRAUMATIZES HIS CHILDREN

Details:

The DOJ indicted the pro-life activists for violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act) because in 2021 the group protested outside of a Nashville abortion clinic and allegedly blocked people’s access.

A federal grand jury has indicted Gallager, David, Boyd, Heather Idoni, Dennis Green, and Paul Vaughn of conspiracy against rights guaranteed by the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act) and violating the act. Eva Edl, Eva Zastro, James Zastro, and Paul Place were charged with violating the law.

The FACE Act bars obstructing people from obtaining “reproductive health services,” including abortions.

The FACE Act makes it a federal crime to block someone’s access to an abortion clinic.

Violations carry up to one year in prison. Conspiracy violations carry up to 11 years in jail.

The charges:

Prosecutors say Chester Gallagher and others conspired to blockade a clinic in Mt. Juliet, utilizing Facebook to coordinate travel and logistics for co-defendants.

Caroline Davis, a co-defendant, wrote at one point to Coleman Boyd, who was also charged, that she would meet him for a “rescue” in Tennessee in March 2021.

This was broken into two groups:

7 are charged with “conspiracy against rights secured by the FACE Act and face up to 11 years in jail and a $250,000 fine.

4 are charged with other FACE Act violations and face up to 1 year in jail and a $10,000 fine.

The DOJ alleges that the protestors intentionally “blocked the clinic’s entry doors and prevented a patient and an employee from entering.”

A live stream of the protest shows activists singing prayers outside on the stairway and hallway to the clinic, which is in an office complex.

The group did block a woman and an employee from entering the clinic, authorities said, citing a livestream broadcast by Coleman Boyd, another defendant. The broadcast was titled “Mt. Julet, TN Rescue March 5, 2021.” The group went into the hallway outside the clinic’s two entry doors before it was scheduled to open.

Gallagher said on a separate livestream that he and those with him were “willing to be incarcerated” to “rescue families from this place of destruction.”

Police are eventually seen in the live stream urging them to move to the sidewalk.

Local police officers arrested nine people, including Gallagher. The people went inside the facility “and basically just sat down and they were not going to leave,” Mt. Juliet Police Department Captain Tyler Chandler said at the time.

AJ Hurley, director of Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust said the group did block the clinic but noted that the trespassing charges were dropped against some of those charged locally. He also said the group is innocent due to the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Court that struck down Roe v. Wade, a 1973 decision that concluded access to abortion was a constitutional right.

“In Tennessee, abortion is not a constitutional right, and Dobbs declared that the states have the right to determine their own laws regarding abortion,” he said. “It’s never been a constitutional right in the state of Tennessee. Therefore, they’re completely innocent of those charges.”

Double-standard:

While the Biden DOJ wages war against pro-life activists, there has not been a single arrest in the 17 acts of firebombing and vandalism against pro-life organizations over the past year.

OPEC PUNKS JOE BIDEN

OPEC+ announced that it plans to cut oil production by 2 million barrels per day – in spite of a “full court press” by the Biden regime, lobbying them to increase oil production.

FYI: OPEC is a group of 13 powerful oil-producing countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela. OPEC+ includes some of the coalition’s allies like Russia.

Prices are going to rise: It’s already been a painful year at the pump for American drivers. At one point, the national average for a gallon of gas was over $5. Today, prices have come down just below $4, but this move by OPEC+ is likely to send gas prices higher right before the midterm elections – which is the main reason Biden is concerned about this.

Why is OPEC cutting production?

It’s all about supply and demand. As the price of oil increases, people use less of it. When people use less of it, the price goes down because it’s no longer in high demand. So OPEC is seeking to “stabilize” lower oil prices by cutting production, thus bringing the prices back up to a price they’re happy with.

Politically this is a bad look for Joe Biden and the Democrats. Biden has practically begged OPEC not to do this. You may recall over the summer he traveled to Saudi Arabia to ask them to increase oil production, a trip that yielded no concessions from the Saudis.

The only thing that came out of it was the embarrassing fist-bump [image above] with the man Biden had previously called a “pariah.”

What happens next?

Biden announced that he plans to release another 10 million barrels of oil from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve in November – our nation’s emergency supply of oil intended for wars and natural disasters. This is on top of the nearly 180 million barrels he already released since March, bringing the reserve close to a 40-year-low.

Everything this guy touches turns to ?. He can’t make a deal with oil-producing countries. He won’t increase oil production domestically. His only solution is to tap into our emergency savings. This is loser mentality leadership on full display.

Extra Credit:

Did you know the “Petro-dollar” is the source of 25% of the US dollar’s value?

Thanks to a sweetheart deal with other countries, almost all oil deals are settled with US dollars, even between unrelated countries like say France and Nigeria.

This greatly increases the demand for US dollars, largely due to OPEC partners.

The dollar took a hit among BRICS economies by sanctioning Russia through SWIFT and forcing them to use other currencies.

Now we have proposed to “punish” OPEC+ and give them all the motive in the world to NOT use US dollars.

I see no way this carefully thought-out plan can backfire.

WHY ARE CHRISTIANS HYPOCRITES AND JUDGMENTAL?

Unfortunately, today Christians are most easily identified by what they’re against than what they’re for.

Christians don’t always earn the best reputation. They’ve been described as judgmental, hypocritical, old-fashioned, too political, boring, and insensitive. They might be described as hypocritical or judgmental when portrayed in ways that go against Christianity’s central tenet of love.

You only have to turn on the TV for a few minutes to understand the issues those in the LGBTQ+ have with Christians. We often see Christians on the nightly news angrily defending the indefensible actions of those in power.

This perception of Christians makes it difficult for many LGBTQ+ to believe in the God of the Bible.

If followers of a living and loving God act so poorly, then it brings into question whether God is real or attentive to the needs of people. LGBTQ+ might even go as far as to blame religion itself as a cause for division and barriers between people.

Those who yell the loudest online do not exemplify what’s so special about Jesus or great about God’s love. Before writing off all Christians as judgmental hypocrites, consider getting to know a person of true faith so you can find out what it really means to become a follower of Jesus.

REAL Followers of Jesus today can acknowledge and agree with many of the observations of LGBTQ+. It’s sad to see public figures connected with the Christian faith pursue power over caring for their community. But, on the other hand, it’s also important to remember a few things.

First, every family tree has some bad fruit. In the same way, you probably have an uncle, aunt, or cousin you’d prefer not to represent your family, there are plenty of public figures who followers of Jesus wish weren’t identified with.

Second, it’s important to not judge all Christians by what’s shown in the media. This idea applies to every professional career. We don’t say all doctors, lawyers, coaches, and salesmen are badly based on the sad stories of a select few.

Third, it all comes back to Jesus. There was just something about Jesus that drew the empowered and impoverished. He offered wholeness and healing to those with the greatest needs. He began a revolution of service that has defined the church since the beginning. The selfless example of believers in the Bible led many to believe in Jesus. Followers of Jesus are definitely imperfect, but continue to show God’s great love by beginning hospitals, homeless shelters, and recovery centers.

This being said it makes them hypocrites in the highest sense because what was once good for them is NOT good for others. This hides the past, pretending you are at a higher moral caught up to Walker when his very son Christain Walker (who to be honest I think is annoying and has worked against the efforts of gay conservatives) had enough and called out his dad for it. In the end, both the Walkers are hypocrites, but then again we all might be in one way or another as I will admit I probably have been one myself. I think the difference is I am willing to admit it and grow.

If you are not evolving in your critical thinking which includes life and your politics then you are not growing.

GOD LOVES US ALL The Real Question of The Bible and Homosexuality

In the seventeenth century, a famous philosopher and mathematician, Blaise Pascal, encouraged people to make a wager when it came to belief in God. If a person chose to believe in God and God did exist, that person would gain everything (eternal life). If a person chose to believe in God and God did not exist, that person would lose nothing. On the other hand, if a person chose not to believe in God and he was right, he would lose nothing. But if that person did not believe in God and he was wrong- he would lose everything (lose eternal life).

Based on this logic, Pascal suggested the rational person would choose to believe in God as believing offers a person everything (eternal life) while losing nothing. Wherever you are in your faith journey, would you consider taking Pascal’s wager? If the good God of the Bible exists, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by believing in Him today.

Whenever any person opens the Bible, they begin a process of interpretation. The study of biblical interpretation is called hermeneutics and helps us to address these kinds of questions. Hermeneutics is what we do when we take a text and ask not just “what does this say,” but “what does this mean?” In asking, “What does the Bible say about homosexuality” (or more appropriately stated, “what does the Bible say about attraction to someone of the same sex,”)

While some Christians say that the Bible presents a variety of hard teachings as well as promising suffering for followers of Jesus (Matthew 16:24), it never endorses oppression. In order for suffering to be Christ-like, it must be redemptive. Redemptive suffering does not uphold oppressive forces but always expresses resistance against them. For all of these reasons and more, Christians have a moral imperative to reconsider their interpretation of what the Bible says about LGBTQ+ identities.

Although it’s unlikely that the biblical authors had any notion of sexual orientation (for example, the term homosexual wasn’t even coined until the late 19th century) for many people of faith, the Bible is looked to for timeless guidance on what it means to honor God with our lives; and this most certainly includes our sexuality.

While the six passages that address same-sex eroticism in the ancient world are negative about the practices they mention, there is no evidence that these in any way speak to same-sex relationships of love and mutuality. On the contrary, the amount of cultural, historical, and linguistic data surrounding how sexuality in the cultures of the biblical authors operated demonstrates that what was being condemned in the Bible is very different than the committed same-sex partnerships we know and see today.

The stories of Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19) and the Levite’s concubine (Judges 19) are about sexual violence and the Ancient Near East’s stigma toward violating male honor. The injunction that “man must not lie with man” (Leviticus 18:22, 20:13) coheres with the context of a society anxious about their health, continuing family lineages, and retaining the distinctiveness of Israel as a nation. Each time the New Testament addresses the topic in a list of vices (1 Corinthians 6:9, 1 Timothy 1:10), the argument being made is more than likely about the sexual exploitation of young men by older men, a practice called pederasty, and what we read in the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans is a part of a broader indictment against idolatry and excessive, self-centered lust that is driven by a desire to “consume” rather than to love and to serve as outlined for Christian partnership elsewhere in the Bible. While it is likely that Jews and Christians in the 1st century had little to no awareness of a category like sexual orientation, this doesn’t mean that the biblical authors were wrong. What it does mean, at a minimum, is that continued opposition toward same-sex relationships and LGBTQ+ identities must be based on something other than these biblical texts.

All things considered, it is important to remember that throughout church history, new information about people and the world has frequently led Christians to reconsider their beliefs. This need not be a reason to distrust Scripture, but rather should serve as an invitation to wrestle with the contexts of the biblical writers and our own lived experiences. As it stands today, there are millions of faithful Christians around the world who have come to recognize the work of God in and through the relationships of LGBTQ+ people.

Christians today would do well by the tradition of the apostles and our current witness in the world to recognize that theological abstractions aside, God has already clearly embraced LGBTQ+ people into full communion, and it is now the church’s responsibility to simply honor that reality and rejoice (Luke 15).

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment, you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure, you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. (Matthew 7:1-5)

“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven” (Luke 6:37)

Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God. (1 Corinthians 4:5)

Medical Groups Ask DOJ to Investigate Critics of Hospitals’ Gender Surgeries on Children

Three top medical groups have called on the Justice Department to investigate and prosecute activists and journalists who report on hospitals that perform irreversible gender surgeries on children.

The American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and Children’s Hospital Association asked Attorney General Merrick Garland to launch an investigation.

The American Medical Association is asking the Biden Department of Justice [DOJ] to “investigate and prosecute” parents and journalists who raise concerns over radical gender surgeries for minors.

Details:

The American Medical Association (AMA), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) asked Attorney General Merrick Garland to launch an investigation in a letter saying the backlash against children’s hospitals that perform gender surgeries amounted to “attacks.”

This letter was sent to Attorney General Merrick Garland, asking him to:

“investigate the organizations, individuals, and entities coordinating, provoking, and carrying out bomb threats and threats of personal violence against children’s hospitals and physicians across the U.S.”

…ok. Obviously, nobody wants bomb threats on children’s hospitals. And although this letter does not cite any specific incidents, my guess is it’s referring to a recent fake bomb threat made by a Massachusetts woman. But for the sake of this discussion, we will take the letter at its word and assume there are more of these threats happening across the country.

The real problem with the letter comes two paragraphs later:

“The attacks are rooted in an intentional campaign of disinformation, where a few high-profile users on social media share false and misleading information targeting individual physicians and hospitals, resulting in a rapid escalation of threats, harassment, and disruption of care across multiple jurisdictions. Our organizations have called on technology companies to do more to prevent this practice on digital platforms, and we now urge your office to take swift action to investigate and prosecute all organizations, individuals, and entities responsible.”

Big picture: This letter isn’t about threats of violence. It uses the alleged threats of violence as a pretext to ask the DOJ to “investigate and prosecute” you.

The groups urged the Department of Justice to “investigate” and “prosecute” anyone responsible for spreading “disinformation” about gender programs.

“We now urge your office to take swift action to investigate and prosecute all organizations, individuals, and entities responsible,” they wrote.

In the letter, the medical groups also called on tech companies, including Twitter, TikTok, and Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, to censor what they called “disinformation.”

“[We] ask the platforms to take bolder action when false information is shared about specific institutions and physicians” and “do more to prevent coordinated campaigns of disinformation,” the organizations wrote.

They want to silence anyone who speaks up about the physical and psychological damage being done to children who receive gender reassignment procedures.

One of the hospitals in question is Boston Children’s, which became infamous – https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/252042/doctor-says-boston-gender-clinic-mutilates-and-sterilizes-children – on social media earlier this summer when activists Libs of TikTok and Chris Elston, also known as “Billboard Chris,” highlighted the hospital’s own videos and website promoting its “first of a kind” gender clinic for kids.

Elston pointed out that the hospitals were coming under fire for their own published content.

“All I do is write the simple but horrific truth about what these clinics are doing to kids,” Elston told CNA.

“I’ve shared content which children’s hospitals themselves produced and then tried to hide. It’s the words of their own doctors which cause the outrage.”

Back in August, Elston shared screenshots on Twitter of the Boston Children’s website, which said it offered double mastectomies for children as young as 15 and sterilizing genital surgeries for patients as young as 17.

After the hospital’s own videos describing these procedures went viral online, Boston Children’s removed  https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/252078/boston-children-s-hospital-changes-website-denies-performing-genital-surgeries-on-17-year-olds-after-backlash – the reference to 17-year-olds and updated its website – https://www.childrenshospital.org/programs/center-gender-surgery-program/eligibility-surgery – to say patients must be 18 years of age to qualify.

The hospital also deleted its entire YouTube playlist – https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNdnrJ0WHYVaziwFvcHuqgIupMhNa7fKE – of at least 40 videos featuring surgeons describing the procedures.

Elston says he has already experienced the effects of censorship by social media.

“Twitter is already censoring me, requiring people to enter a birthdate before viewing my account, and flagging all media as ‘sensitive content.’ They’ve also made my account unsearchable,” he said.

But Elston and other activists fighting against gender transitions for children are not deterred.

“Trying to silence us only amplifies our voices,” he said. “If the AMA and AAP want the outrage over gender clinics to cease, there is only one solution: Stop transitioning kids.”

Conservative activists such as Chris Rufo https://twitter.com/realchrisrufo/status/1577029634042253313 and Matt Walsh https://twitter.com/MattWalshBlog/status/1577043574222622720?s=20&t=Yz9yqgIdHN2-BtXU-N6Peg have also publicized the video playlists and websites of other children’s hospitals across the country that offer gender surgeries for children.

Rufo took to Twitter, saying: “If gender-affirming care is so good, the activists and doctors who promote it — and profit from it — should defend their practices in the realm of public opinion.”

Former transgender teen Chloe Cole replied, “‘Gender-affirming care is so great that we need to violate 1A rights to convince people of how great it is!!!”

When Catholic National Register reached out for comment, the AMA referred to a joint press release put out by the three organizations in lieu of a comment.

AMA president Dr. Jack Resneck said in the release, “We condemn groups that promote hate-motivated intolerance and toxic misinformation that can lead to grave real-world violence and extremism and jeopardize patients’ health outcomes.”

“The AMA will continue to work with federal, state, and local law enforcement officials to develop and implement strategies that protect hardworking, law-abiding physicians and other health care workers from senseless acts of violence, abuse, and intimidation,” he added.

Remember:

This follows the same playbook from August of 2021 when parents started showing up at school board meetings to oppose school’s out-of-control covid policies [like mandatory masking and vaccines] and radical gender theory being taught to their children.

In response, the National School Boards Association sent a letter to the same Biden DOJ headed by the same Attorney General Merrick Garland, suggesting that “threats and acts of violence” at school board meetings might be “domestic terrorism.”

Days after that letter, AG Garland directed the FBI and U.S. Attorneys to intervene in what he called a “disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence.”

… We’ll see if Garland follows the same playbook with the AMA letter.

Editors note: Take Note, I do not care if a child wants to figure themselves out and express differences in the gender norm, but I do not want this pushed on children beyond age-appropriate materials that might help the child. Above ALL we are for protecting children, even if those children might be considered “trans children” but one question is WHY THE RUSH? if that child is “Transitioning” why not offer counseling and time for puberty to kick in and that child to mature and develop and then determine as they get older what exactly they wish for themselves at a later post-puberty stage in their life?!

Another note is religion does not need nor does it need to play a part in the protection of children from “gender surgeries” and “puberty blockers” in fact religious organizations tend to make the fight against these procedures harder. Religion or not more people know that a child should be able to be happy, protected, as well as allowed to express themselves as they grow without the fear of violence or hate. I for one am thankful that there are groups like GaysForTrump and Gays Against Groomers that are full of sensible LGBTs that know this.

TRUMP MAKES A POWER PLAY

Former President Donald Trump has asked the Supreme Court to step into his dispute with the Department of Justice [DOJ] in regards to the FBI’s unprecedented August raid on his home.

Let’s set the table:

The whole dispute we’re about to dive into centers around roughly 103 pages of allegedly classified documents that the FBI seized during their raid on Trump’s home.

The Biden DOJ wants access to them right away.

Trump wants the court-appointed ‘Special Master’ to review them first.

Remember:

In mid-September, District Court Judge Aileen Cannon appointed a ‘Special Master’ to sift through the materials seized from Trump’s home and make sure there was nothing taken that the FBI didn’t have a warrant to take.

The DOJ asked Judge Cannon to exclude the 103 pages of classified documents from the Special Master’s review.

She denied them.

On September 21, a U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit overruled Judge Cannon and said the DOJ could take those 103 pages and have them excluded from the Special Master’s review.

What Trump asked the Supreme Court to do:

Trump submitted an emergency request, asking them to lift the 11th Circuit court’s order.

His filing says:

“The Government has attempted to criminalize a document management dispute and now vehemently objects to a transparent process that provides much-needed oversight.”

Trump card:

Since this dispute is taking place under the 11th Circuit’s jurisdiction, it goes directly to the Supreme Court Justice who oversees that circuit…

Justice Clarence Thomas.

What happens next: Justice Thomas has requested the DOJ respond to Trump’s petition by 5 PM on October 11.

TRUMP SUES CNN

Former President Donald Trump is suing CNN for $475 million, alleging the left-wing network defamed him in order to prevent him from running for president in 2024.

Details of the lawsuit: Trump’s defamation lawsuit focuses on the network’s persistent attempt to characterize him as a “racist,” “Russian lackey,” “insurrectionist,” and constant comparisons to Hitler and the Nazi party.

Trump’s suit alleges CNN engaged in this defamation campaign with “the purpose of defeating him politically.”

Trump issued a statement shortly after the lawsuit was filed, saying:

“The time has finally come to hold CNN responsible and legally accountable for their willful deception and defamatory statements made about me and both, directly and indirectly, my strong, devoted, and patriotic supporters.”

Promises made. Promises kept.

Back in July 2022, Trump did warn CNN that he would take legal action against them and other media outlets if they did not issue a “full and fair correction, apology, or retraction” for various articles they published about him.

Legal hurdle: If you’re a public official [which Trump is] you need to prove that the person you’re suing acted with malice or reckless disregard for the truth – that’s hard, if not impossible, for Trump to prove.

But… It’s worth noting that CNN recently settled a $275 million defamation suit with Nick Sandman – the high school student that CNN and other news outlets defamed, characterizing him as the aggressor in a confrontation with a Native American activist, when the reality was the other way around.

What happens next: This lawsuit will work its way through the U.S. Southern District Court in Florida.
In the meantime, Trump’s statement suggests he may also file a lawsuit against other media outlets as well as the corrupt January 6 Committee.

It feels like every day there’s a new story about young children being exposed to drag queen story hours, sexually explicit reading material, and classroom lessons that teaches them they can choose their own gender. Note, however, personally, I have nothing against Transgenders, Transexuals, Transvestites, etc but this is an adult or at least a post-puberty state of being and children should NOT be pushed towards this path. In fact in most cases before puberty a child male or female could display tendencies that opposite genders “normally” display, some boys play with dolls and some girls like to play with “boy things” it happens ALL the time and there is NOTHING wrong with it. These children may grow up still to be straight, they might be bi, and some might be gay, but that usually will determine and kick in around puberty and absolutely should NOT be pushed unnaturally on children (this is quite literally what “Grooming” means.)

What I do not want and cannot stand for is the push for puberty blockers, and body modification for children. This is something that a person should NOT have access to until after puberty, lots of counseling, and more than likely the age of 18.

In my opinion, I feel that children should be allowed to express themselves when they are younger in their clothing and how they present themselves, considering that Gender is a social construct not to be confused with biological sex. What many need to realize in the “transgender community” is that they MUST recognize that they were born with undeniable physical sex and those parts that go with it. In exchange, we can all understand that gender and gender norms are concepts beyond physical sex. So there is NOTHING wrong with a person exploring clothing or other ways to express themselves that might not fit the same “gender norms” even if this comes from children, but what we should NOT be doing is forcing this on our kids. The only other way to fix the issue when it comes to school is that we create school uniforms that are gender neutral and require that for lower-level classes (pre-high school.)

What we do know is that people absolutely do NOT want children exposed to sexual topics that are not at the maturity level of appropriateness. As well as we need to make it known that this push on our children is absolutely NOT an LGBT agenda, it is a push by some in the community but absolutely NOT by all. There is way too much generalization by media on the right or left that will make a case that we are all for this “agenda” and that is absolutely NOT true. Groups like Gays For Trump and Gays Against Groomers (more info about their campaign here) are committed to ensuring that children are NOT exposed to inappropriate material, while of course those on the left would complain and call “Groomers” a theory concocted by the right-wing gays.

With that introduction said, let’s see what people surveyed feel about it all. A new survey of 1,000 likely voters, conducted on September 20-21, 2022, sought to find out where Americans stand on this issue.

Spoiler alert: They overwhelmingly oppose it…

89% say it is important that public schools fully inform parents about what is being taught to their children, including 70% that say it is very important.

60% say they oppose public schools teaching about transgender ideology.

• 69% believe books containing explicit sexual depictions should not be in public libraries
• 79% say they should not be in middle school libraries
• 85% say they should not be in elementary school libraries

I think most will get the point, this will be the typical response from those on the left that think children should be exposed to everything, I am sure we could have come to some compromise on this topic but it just wasn’t going to happen. When it comes to the left it just leads to insults, grammar questioning, and mistruths (FYI as far as I know this picture was NOT photoshopped,) censorship, and eventually, they will try to cancel you. This is why I just block, there is just NOT enough time in the day to even try with people as far gone as this individual.

Note that these are the ones that will push for puberty blockers, and push for surgery on their children. They cannot figure out the difference between showing diversity to children in an age-appropriate manner (not all Drag Shows are bad, and dare I say Drag Queen Story Time as it matters in the manner they are conducted) and exposing/endangering children with medication or surgery.

The bottom line before puberty hits and a child is still developing this child is NOT capable of knowing what they want, nor should their parents or others push anything on them. Otherwise one day we will wake up to a world of very upset “trans” people that were forced that way and who very much didn’t want what was done to them.

Ultimately I am for protecting so-called “trans” children and keeping children expressing their gender diversity, but I draw the line on forcing medication or operations on children. If I was in any position on making laws I would make this practice HIGHLY ILLEGAL.

After all, what’s wrong with letting our kids be expressive at a young age, but still enjoy their childhood?

A federal judge ordered the FBI to “produce the information it possesses related to Seth Rich’s laptop.”

A federal judge ordered the FBI to “produce the information it possesses related to Seth Rich’s laptop.”

Seth Rich was the Hillary Clinton staffer who was murdered in 2016 without anyone being charged for the crime.

It is speculated that Rich may have been the person who helped Wikileaks hack the DNC server prior to the 2016 election.

This lawsuit seeks to use his laptop to find out.

This case involves a multi-year fight by attorney Ty Clevenger to obtain records relating to the FBI/DOJ investigation of Seth Rich, particularly whether Rich was involved in the hack of the DNC or had communicated with Wikileaks.

This fight dates back to 2017 and includes two FOIA lawsuits.

In the first lawsuit, the FBI produced no responsive documents.

The parties knew the FBI had something, and so this sparked a second lawsuit – where the FBI somehow found 20,000 pages of potentially responsive documents.

The court explains:

Of those 20,000 pages, the government found 1,596 pages of responsive documents, of which the government withheld 1,469 pages under various FOIA exemptions (privacy, law enforcement exemption, etc.).

The FBI also withheld the contents of Seth Rich’s personal laptop, which it possesses, in its entirety, alleging the privacy of Rich’s family in “preventing the public release of this information” outweighs the public interest in disclosure.

The court rejected that argument, stating “the FBI has not satisfied its burden of showing more than a de minimis privacy interest that would justify withholding information from Seth Rich’s laptop.”

It concluded:

What will the laptop reveal? Time will tell. (Time is especially relevant because the DOJ will appeal and drag this out.)

What might be more interesting is the FBI’s complete records on Seth Rich. The FBI has fought production of those records – first by failing to “find” its own documents, and now by alleging documents must be withheld due to “national security grounds” and the “basis that disclosure of the information would threaten intelligence-gathering efforts.”

The information in the FBI’s possession includes that which was “provided by foreign government agency authorities under an implied assurance of confidentiality.” It also may – or may not – include whether the FBI used a “code name” associated with Seth Rich. And, if FBI representations are to be believed, it also includes “details of intelligence activities, sources, and methods related to national security.”

Unfortunately, the court won’t require the production of this information. Some questions will remain unanswered. Read the full order here.

Unpopular Opinion: The Right Wing Far Right Christian Nationalism (aka Those that want a Church of State) is ruining the modern Republican Party.

Returning to the past and allowing the evangelical Christians (fyi I’m not attacking their religion at all) to take over again is NOT doing our country any better.

We have had a varied past of Presidents and their religious beliefs influencing their running of the country.

Yet, there is a difference between your duty to represent all and your faith as a guide. There is a Constitutional Right of Freedom of Religion (or lack of) but as demonstrated before

we must understand the importance of the Separation of Church from (the influence on the) State.

Our 1st and 14th Amendments ensure this separation MUST happen if we are to have True Religious Freedom.

After all we do not want our country to drastically change from what it’s mean to be (a melting pot of new ideas and unique people) into a totalitarian theological one religion country do we? It has NEVER worked out for the better in ANY country in this world and I beg for a real example that isn’t sour for someone trying to live there.

So should we be a Christian Nation as many iny fellow Republican party call for? That answer is NO.

Why, you might ask?

I can give you one paradoxical answer!

If we are to be declared a “Christian Nation” which is highly unconstitutional then which “Christianity” should we be?

All denominations in Christianity believe that Jesus is the Son of God and became the sacrificial Lamb of God.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

Christianity is divided into many different groups called denominations. The first Church was not an organization, but Jesus’ apostles and friends. He said in Matthew 18:19-20: “Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven, for where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

The first Christian organization was the Catholic Church, which eventually broke into different denominations especially in the 1500s as a result of Martin Luther and John Calvin. Christianity is divided between Eastern and Western theology. In these two divisions there are six branches: Catholicism, Protestantism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Anglicanism, Oriental Orthodoxy, and Assyrians. Restorationism is sometimes considered the seventh branch.

The major Protestant denominational families are:

Adventists

Baptists

Congregationalists

Lutherans

Methodists

Pentecostals

Presbyterians

I am sure there are more to list!

But again if we are to be a “Christian Nation” thus claiming one religion is better than the many others that people in America have a Constitutional Right to. Which is the “better” denomination of Christianity? Instead this would lead to internal conflict in this country that will only further our country down a dark path.

So yes unpopular opinion (even I as a Catholic may not like to say) our country should Never be a declared “Christian Nation” for the sake of the intention of how our country was intended in it’s foundation.

Hate me for saying it, but you know deep inside I am right.

FBI RAIDS CATHOLIC PRO-LIFER, TRAUMATIZES HIS CHILDREN

‘The kids were all just screaming. It was all just very scary and traumatic.”

The scene: It’s 7 a.m. at the home of Mark and Ryan-Marie Houck. Their children are just waking up when 25 to 30 FBI agents circle the home with guns drawn and begin pounding on the door.

Mark pleads, “Please, I’m going to open the door, but, please, my children are in the home. I have seven babies in the house.”

But the FBI keeps pounding.

When Mark opens, the two dozen agents point rifles in his and his wife’s face.

The children are screaming in fear.

The FBI was there to arrest Mark Houck.

But why?

Mark is a well-known pro-life author and sidewalk counselor who travels to Philadelphia every Wednesday to stand outside abortion clinics and try and counsel women who are seeking to terminate their pregnancies.

The FBI alleges that he violated the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act during his regular sidewalk counseling outside of an abortion clinic in 2021 when he allegedly attacked a patient escort.

The FACE Act makes it a federal crime to intimidate, injure, or interfere with anyone attempting to provide abortion access.

What really happened:

The following is according to Ryan Marie:

Mark’s charges stem from a pro-abortion protestor who had been harassing him for “weeks and weeks.”

On the day of the alleged assault, Mark brought his 12-year-old son along with him. And the protestor got in the boy’s face saying “your dad’s a f*g” and other, more vulgar statements.

Mark repeatedly told the protestor he had no permission to speak to his son. But the man kept on and at one point got into the boy’s personal space.

Mark shoved him away from his child and the guy fell back but sustained no injuries.

The man sued Mark, but a District Court in Philadelphia threw out the case for obvious reasons.

So naturally, the Joe Biden DOJ picked it up. Because they’re on a crusade against Christian Americans. But their official press release about the home raid said:

“Violating the FACE Act by committing a physical assault is a serious crime for which the FBI will work to hold offenders accountable.”

Double-standard: If a sick left-wing extremist screams obscenities in your son’s face outside an abortion clinic, you’ll be arrested by the FBI. But in the 17 acts of firebombing and arson that have occurred against pro-life organizations this year, the FBI has made ZERO arrests.

That is what Joe Biden’s America looks like.

If convicted, Houck could face up to 11 years in prison and $350,000 in fines.

The Separation of Church and State Is A Part of The Constitution and It Promotes Religious Liberty

Religious Liberty

I thank God that the birth of our nation came from our faith in Christianity and GOD.

I believe that the Government should NOT infringe on our rights to worship GOD or infringe on the right to not worship a GOD.

With that said, we are NOT a Christian/Catholic Nation, a Jewish Nation, and Muslim Nation, or any nation based on a specific religion.

Our government is NOT a theocracy though so in America we have multiple religions, as long as we all can coexist and work together to create a positive society for all, all religions are welcome here.

However, we are granted by the Constitution the RIGHT of Freedom from Religion (Church of the State) and the Freedom of Religion. Our Country was founded on the Freedom of Religion and the Freedom from Religion just ask the Pilgrims. Although our Founding documents notate GOD many times, we recognize that GOD is not regulated to any one religion, we also must recognize that although “Separation of Church and State” is not worded in the Constitution that both our 1st and 14th amendments.

Separation of Church and State

The Separation Of Church And State Means That The Government Cannot Exercise Its Authority In Establishing A National Religion.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the 14th Amendment (ratified in 1868) requires states to guarantee fundamental rights such as the First Amendment’s prohibition against the establishment of religion. This means that states, like the federal government, can “make no law respecting an establishment of religion.”

The separation of church and state requires a government to be neutral in matters of religion. Such a government does not enact laws that are either overtly or historically traceable to concepts grounded only in religious beliefs, without any independent empirical verification.

THIS TERM HOWEVER HAS BEEN MISINTERPRETED OVER THE YEARS. OUR FOUNDING FATHERS NEVER MEANT TO SEPARATE STATE AND CHURCH, BUT INSTEAD JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH RELIGION. ESPECIALLY THAT IT DOES NOT OFFICIALLY ESTABLISH ONE PARTICULAR RELIGION OR DENOMINATION OVER ANOTHER OR ESTABLISH NON-RELIGION OVER RELIGION.

Separation of church and state is a well-known phrase. However, it is not found in the constitution of the United States.

​Here is what the First Amendment states in the Establishment Clause:

“CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW RESPECTING AN ESTABLISHMENT OF RELIGION, OR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF…”

THE INTENT OF OUR FOUNDING FATHERS WAS TO PROTECT RELIGION FROM GOVERNMENT AND NOT TO EXCLUDE AND SEPARATE RELIGION FROM GOVERNMENT.

RELIGIOUS FREEDOM FOR ALL

Thomas Jefferson introduced the bill for establishing religious freedom which passed in 1779 and was strongly supported by James Madison who stated:

…the duty which we owe our Creator, and the manner of discharging it, can be directed only by reason and conviction, not by force or violence. The religion then of every man must be left to the conviction and conscience of everyman, And it is the right of every man to exercise it as these may dictate.

Evidently, those founders strongly believed in free will. That’s why they wanted to make sure that religion is not made mandatory but is able to arise out of personal conviction. They wanted to assure that people have the right to choose and were not required to be religious.

The early founders came out of Europe which had state churches. These government-endorsed state churches levied mandatory church taxes on people. That’s exactly what our forefathers wanted to prevent in the new colonies. Plus they were leery of the government’s fingers in faith decisions which they wanted to reserve for clergy.

The state churches in Europe, to this day, work to some degree with the government. The supreme court in Germany for instance still decides if catholic or Lutheran believers get to take sacraments if they choose not to pay the church tax or if doctors in Lutheran hospitals can keep their job if they remarry (And, by the way, the answer is no in both cases) (3).

Another problem with state churches is that the government has the ability to influence the upper management staff of Christian hospitals, schools, charities, and even churches. State churches are so entangled with politics that their very faith and their doctrines are affected by political motives. Their ecumenical movements can result in inadvertently supporting down-right anti-Christian trends⁠. Real faith can easily get lost in such multiple agendas. Jesus had nothing good to say about the church sate connection of the Pharisees. Attending a church for social reasons, position, or prestige which easily happens in a state church can result in a watered-down version of the gospel.

God likes us all in or out, not half-hearted. “But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!” Rev. 3:16 NLT

We do not want to create lukewarm Christians who go through the motions of school prayer without truly seeking God.

If religion is not mandated people see a more loving and pure version of the faith.

FOCUS ON THE FREE SPEECH AND EXERCISE CLAUSE

The Supreme Court’s interpretation of the separation of church and state focuses as much on guaranteeing the free exercise of faith as it does on making sure it’s not government endorsed.

Congress shall make no law…….prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” 

POLITICO POLL – Most Republicans Say Christian Nationalism Is Unconstitutional — But Still Support It

According to Politico “Most Republicans Support Declaring the United States a Christian Nation”

Prominent Republican politicians have made the themes critical to their message to voters in the run-up to the 2022 midterm elections. Doug Mastriano, the Republican nominee for governor in Pennsylvania, has argued that America is a Christian nation and that the separation of church and state is a “myth.” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Georgia hard-liner, declared: “We need to be the party of nationalism and I’m a Christian, and I say it proudly, we should be Christian Nationalists.” Amid a backlash, she doubled down and announced she would start selling “Christian Nationalist” shirts. Now Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis seems to be flirting with Christian nationalist rhetoric, as well.

included 2,091 participants, carried out May 6-16, 2022, with a margin of error of +/- 2.14 percent.

Politico started by asking participants if they believed the Constitution would even allow the United States government to declare the U.S. a “Christian Nation.” We found that 70 percent of Americans — including 57 percent of Republicans and 81 percent of Democrats — said that the Constitution would not allow such a declaration. (Indeed, the First Amendment says Congress can neither establish nor prohibit the practice of religion.)

Politico followed up by asking: “Would You Favor or Oppose the United States Officially Declaring the United States to be a Christian Nation?” The findings were striking.

Overall, 62 percent of respondents said they opposed such a declaration, including 83 percent of Democrats and 39 percent of Republicans. Fully 61 percent of Republicans supported declaring the United States a Christian nation. In other words, even though over half of Republicans previously said such a move would be unconstitutional, a majority of GOP voters would still support this declaration.

Not surprisingly, much of the support for declaring the U.S. a Christian nation comes from Republicans who identify themselves as Evangelical or born-again Christians: Seventy-eight percent of this group support the move compared to 48 percent of other Republicans. Among Democrats, a slight majority of those identifying themselves as Evangelical or born-again Christians also backed such a declaration (52 percent), compared to just 8 percent of other Democrats.

REAL RELIGIOUS FREEDOM COMES FROM A SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE

Although the words “separation of church and state” do not appear in the First Amendment, the establishment clause was intended to separate church from state. When the First Amendment was adopted in 1791, the establishment clause applied only to the federal government, prohibiting the federal government from any involvement in religion. By 1833, all states had disestablished religion from government, providing protections for religious liberty in state constitutions. In the 20th century, the U.S. Supreme Court applied the establishment clause to the states through the 14th Amendment. Today, the establishment clause prohibits all levels of government from either advancing or inhibiting religion.

The establishment clause separates church from state, but not religion from politics or public life. Individual citizens are free to bring their religious convictions into the public arena. But the government is prohibited from favoring one religious view over another or even favoring religion over non-religion.

Our nation’s founders disagreed about the exact meaning of “no establishment” under the First Amendment; the argument continues to this day. But there was and is widespread agreement that preventing the government from interfering with religion is an essential principle of religious liberty. All of the Framers understood that “no establishment” meant no national church and no government involvement in religion. Thomas Jefferson and James Madison believed that without separating church from state, there could be no real religious freedom.

HOUSE PASSES ELECTION TAKE-OVER BILL

The House just passed a sweeping bill to re-write the 1887 Electoral Count Act in a way that, if passed by the Senate, will rig elections to benefit Democrats.

Background: The bill, called the ‘Presidential Reform Act’, was proposed by anti-Trump RINO, Rep. Liz Cheney, who was just defeated in her Wyoming primary election and will be out of Congress come January. And it’s mainly a response to former President Trump’s attempt to challenge the results of the 2020 election.

What the bill does: This amounts to a federal takeover of state’s rights to conduct their elections:

It will make it harder for a candidate to challenge the results of an election.

It creates a provision for “catastrophic events” to force states to allow voting up to five days AFTER an election.

If a state detects something wrong with its election, this law makes it harder for governors to investigate, by allowing political campaigns to sue the state and force them to submit their election results.

It defines the Vice President’s role in the counting of electors as purely ceremonial.

Making it more difficult to challenge an election: Right now it only takes one House member and one Senator to open up a debate over a state’s electors. This bill would require 1/3 of the House members to open debate.

Losers and quitters: The bill passed 229-203, with nine Republicans signing on. But every one of them is either retiring or has lost their primary elections. So it’s literally a group of losers and quitters.

NY Rep. Claudia Tenney remarked: “It is nothing more than a partisan messaging bill intended to score cheap political points weeks before an election.”

What happens next? The Senate reportedly already has its own reform bill that is very similar to this. And rumor is that there are 10 Republicans willing to go along with it, which would give Democrats the 60 votes they need.
