Iconic Rock of Cashel

Rock of Cashel is one of the most spectacular tourist attractions in Ireland and one of the most visited. It is a significant historical site and for 600 years was the power-base of the kings of Munster. The ruins include a 12th-century round tower, high cross, Romanesque chapel, 13th-century Gothic cathedral, 15th-century castle and the Hall of the Vicars.

Viking – All Terrain Vehicle

The elite troops of the Royal Marines Armoured support group are getting ready to go to war in this amphibious assault transport. The vehicles are meant to be a key part of the Royal Marines rapid-reaction capabilities. The Royal Marines ordered Viking vehicles as part of the Commando 21 reorganization. The Viking All-Terrain Vehicle was meant to provide armoured, amphibious mobility to the Commando groups. The Viking proved extremely useful as a tracked vehicle capable of negotiating the ditches, canals and uneven ground. The BvS10 vehicle development was based on the operationally proven capability of the Swedish Hagglunds Bv206 and Bv206S vehicles. Over 11,000 vehicles are in service in 40 countries.

Kia’s Frankfurt-based design team worked on the Optima’s front and rear fascias and the brand’s now signature tabbed grille. The D-segment sedan’s bold image is further accentuated by updated rear diffusers and a sweeping boot lid. The Optima also offers an updated top-of-the-line trim level, SX Limited, that includes niceties like 18-inch chrome wheels, LED fog lights, and Nappa leather upholstery. Additionally, both SX and SX Limited trims now come standard with an exclusive Drive Mode Select system that tailors transmission shift points and steering effort to your individual driving style. Pricing will be announced closer to the 2014 Optima’s launch, set in the third quarter of this year.

Caerlaverock Castle – Discover Scotland

Caerlaverock Castle is one of Scotland’s great medieval fortresses. Surrounded by a double moat and hundreds of acres of flat marshy willow woods. Caerlaverock was built to control the South-West entrance to Scotland which in early times was the waterway across the Solway Firth. The Maxwell family, who built Caerlaverock, enjoyed peaceful prosperity there until it was besieged in 1300 by Edward I. The castle was partly destroyed in 1357, but repaired by the 1370s. The Maxwells were Scottish lords – and were strangers to the area. However, in around 1220, the Scottish King Alexander II granted this patch of land to the family. Nowadays, Caerlaverock is a ruin and has limited covered areas in the event of rain, but it offers fantastic locations for wedding photography.

The opening plenary of the second session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Durban Platform for Enhanced Action took place on Monday morning at the World Conference Center Bonn. It will be held between 29 April – 3 May 2013 at the World Conference Center Bonn, Germany. The Durban Platform represents a finely balanced compromise among the principal negotiating groups in the UN climate-change regime. The aim of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change is to stop global warming by limiting global carbon emissions.
