first of all i would like thank god .it is god with god's grace and will that i got placed in infosys.

Dreams come true and you don't believe it when it come true .........
Life was never so fantastic n releshing as it is today.After a long time , i am feeling like that i hav achieved something.Today, i have got the result of all hard -work that i did for my placement.

letz .......start from begining .......In school i was among toppers and happening boy of my school.My school ended smoothly. In +1 i jst managed to pass and +2 i got my form back . To get admission in some good engineering college i took a drop of 1year. but lif showed itz cruel face to me in that year ... but i say it made me strong . but all my dreams dashed to ground. i didn'table to get admission in reputed engg. colleges.i took admission in ptu.

From here my journey to infosys started . i joined the company of good n helpful seniors. i would say in 1st ,2nd year i learnt many things n started to grow as a personality .... now i would like to name the person to whom credit of my success go... MY mentor DAWAR DEDMARI.....lotz of thankz......sir.
n also thankz..to all who have directly or indirectly contributed to my success.

I was very upset when i could not make it to my first company L&T . i know days were hard to spent. but itz my failure IN L&t which Made infosys possible for me. i can never forgot the day of failure in l & t.I did hard work with dedication.

Thankz to MY mom who prays for me throughout my life and my elder brother who took all burden on his shoulders.

My approach is always to make ideas clear to someone by practical examples .i do like write about things that occur in day today life. As my first post (orkut) was also started with practical examples. Today I was reading newspaper and I was reading about India-oz series suddenly I saw a term “Kookaburra Ball” . So from here my cause to write this post generated.

At international level Cricket there are three basic balls used.
The Duke ball --------------------ENGLAND
KOOKABURRA -------------------- Australia, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Pakistan,

South Africa, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and New Zealand
The SG ball -------------------- INDIA

What is KOOKABURRA BALL???
Duke Ball n SG ball both are man made while kookaburra is machine made. The Australians were first to use the machine-made balls, moving away from the costly product of hand finishing. Now a days most balls are manufactured by Australian firms.
The Kookaburra ball swings much more than the SG brand

Duke is a good ball for the game of cricket. It gives fast bowlers a fair chance unlike Kookaburra & SG. Kookaburra is almost useless when it becomes soft while the old Duke ball can be very useful for the bowlers which know the art of reverse swing.
Actually Kookaburra swings more in the beginning but starts to soften after 35-40 overs and batting becomes a lot easier as it seems to get softer and loses the seam. Reverse swing is less than the Duke ball.

Why different ball for same game ??
Indian sports goods manufacturer Sanspareils Greenlands (SG) has been the sole supplier of the red ball to the Indian board for many years, but is now in danger of losing its monopoly following complaints about performance and replacement rates. Many believe the hand-made SG ball offers an advantage to the spin-oriented Indian attack because the pronounced seam provides better grip for spinners.

The seam in the SG ball is upright and very prominent. It stays the same till the 80th over or more. The ball tends to lose shine because of the nature of the outfields we have in India, but the seam stays intact. Because of the seam, the ball tends to grip the pitch and assist in spin and lateral movement.

For a spinner it is essential that the ball should grip the surface. It is fine for a wrist spinner like Shane Warne or Muralitharan. The Kookaburra brand works well for them, but not for the Indian spinners

but then it may not be best suited for Indian conditions. Similarly, the SG brand may not be ideal for use in countries like Australia, England, South Africa or the West Indies. So what could the International Cricket Council do about it?

Basic differences between SG ,Duke and Kookaburra

• The Duke & SG balls are both handmade while the Kookaburra is machine-made.
• The subtle differences are the treatment of the leather surfaces and the height and quality of the seam.
• The Kookaburra is generally redder in colour and swings from the word go, and for the first 30 overs is quite difficult to play against on a helpful surface

• The Duke is a much darker red (enjoyed by the bowlers), does not swing from the start but as the lacquer used on the ball wears off, it swings conventionally.

• Please note that in the Duke ball in the subcontinent and Africa the external surfaces wear away very quickly and therefore it does not last long in the harder rougher conditions.

• The SG ball is redder in colour and almost identical to the Duke but hardly swings at all. Contrary to the words of many commentators, the SG ball is not easy to reverse swing and it offers no greater reverse than the Kookaburra balls.

• The Kookaburra keeps its shine longer but starts to soften after 35-40 overs and batting becomes a lot easier as it seems to get softer and loses the seam. Reverse swing is less than the Duke ball.

• This is only in the UK because, as I said earlier, the Duke ball cannot survive subcontinent conditions because of the way the leather is treated.

• SG retains its seam but can become fat in the hand. The spin bowler can get the grip and purchase he needs from the seam and therefore in India where the pitches turn predominantly they are preferred.

• The Duke ball is excellent for English conditions. Tt starts to shine up after the initial lacquer has worn off. In the swifter conditions it swings and the larger seams are needed for the slower conditions.

Now how can u judge a bowler, batsman n a team when you are using different balls. I believe that there is a need to standardize the cricket ball and by using technology. ICC should try to develop a new ball which will suit all types of conditions

Creating the Holistic Security Triangle with Intrusion Detection System
Connecting to the Internet gives your company website(business) an additional access point to millions of potential customers. These potential customers, in turn, have access to you. Yet without proper precautions, Web sites and internal networks are susceptible to both pranks and vicious attacks of hackers.

While antivirus software and firewalls are now commonplace in many small businesses, hackers’ knowledge and resources have increased, allowing them to bypass such protection and access valuable company assets. Therefore, today’s threats require an additional level of security, known as intrusion detection. An intrusion detection system (IDS) is a complementary solution to firewall technology.

What is Intrusion Detection?
Defining this technology may best be done using the analogy of airport security. When an individual arrives at an airport, he or she proceeds through a security checkpoint where airport personnel confirm possession of a plane ticket. If cleared, the individual and his or her belongings proceed through an X-ray machine that checks for questionable and illegal items.

In a similar way, a firewall determines if Internet traffic can enter a computer. If allowed, the IDS will X-ray the traffic, examining it for suspicious attack patterns. When an attack is found, the intrusion detection system automatically cuts off the incoming traffic.

IDS recognizes incoming traffic as an attack by relying on the signature or mark of an attack. An updated IDS is able to recognize the signature of an attacker and block further access. these signatures must be updated by the IDS vendor’s security experts such as those at Symantec’s Security Response Center. This response center is a 24x7 team of experts that update the definition signatures available to all its customers.

New threats have been programmed to get into a network anyway possible. They can enter even with a personal firewall and antivirus software running on your computer. A blended threat, like Nimda, may still be able to get by the firewall through permitted Internet applications, such as Internet Explorer or Internet Information Server. And since many blended threats do not execute on a computer’s hard drive, it can go unnoticed by antivirus programs

Implementing intrusion detection gives potential intruders no place to hide – but it cannot replace a firewall or antivirus program. All three security technologies need to be integrated thereby providing a figurative triangle of security

Intrusion detection systems vary greatly in features and complexity. Standalone desktop systems need to employ a different type of intrusion detection than a large corporation with thousands of workstations. Still there are a few important points to look for when selecting the appropriate intrusion detection system.

First, an intrusion detection system should offer an easy and quick way to obtain the most up-to-date attack signatures. Security software is only as effective as it is current, which underscores the significance of having the most efficient updating mechanism for keeping all components current with the latest threats. Good intrusion detection systems will search for updates automatically, in the background.

Second, a sound intrusion detection system will be integrated to work seamlessly with the other two security measures, firewall and antivirus programs. Such integration not only simplifies the task of purchasing, installing and supporting individual products, but also, more importantly, makes it easier to obtain the most up-to-date attack signatures from the same vendor.

Finally, new technology allows some intrusion detection systems to be intelligent enough to detect malicious behavior that may not yet be identified in published attack signatures. Such detection technology is known as anomaly detection, traffic rate monitoring, protocol state tracking, and IP packet reassembly.

As evidenced by the complex security threats still plaguing the computers and networks of small businesses more than a year after their discovery, blended threats are expected to appear with greater regularity and complexity, thus signaling the urgent need for integrated tools that provide effective protection at multiple layers. The intelligence in an intrusion detection system plays a vital role in both identifying and eliminating these new and complex threats.

SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES ARE-MYSPACE ,ORKUT,FRIENDTSTER HAS CAPTURED THE YOUTH.ON ALMOST 90% OF PC THESE SITES ARE RUNNING SPECIALLY ORKUT. SO U CAN GUESS ORKUT MENIA IS OVER THE YOUTH.

I DO CONSIDER ORKUT IS GUD WAY TO STAY IN TOUCH WITH FRIENDS .ITZ EASY AND SIMPLE USER INTERFACE IS EXCELLENT .THAT WHY IT HAS GOT SO MUCH OF POPULARITY IN INDIA. SCRAPPING ,VIDEO SHARING ,IMAGE SHARING ARE EXCELLENT FEATURES.

NOW COMING ON OTHER SIDE OF COIN. ORKUT DO HAVE NEGATIVE IMPACT.

PEOPLE ARE GETTING SO MUCH ADDICTED OF THIS . THAT THEY HAVE HABIT OF CHECKING THIER SCRAPS AFTER EACH HALF AN HOUR.EVEN MANY MNC ,COLLEGES ,SCHOOLS HAVE BANNED OR BLOCKED ORKUT.

SCENARIO IS THAT ORKUT IS CONSIDERED AS REASON FOR DEATH OF BOY-

ADNAN PATRAWALA -SON OF A BUILDER IN MUMBAI GOT KILLED BY ABDUCTERS .

U MIGHT HAV HEARD ABOUT THE CASE.LET ME POINT OUT THE MAIN REASON FOR DEATH AND THAT IS -A FAKE PROFILE.
