how to cover under eye circles. Eye concealer.

I know some of us have under eye circles… Maybe you are born with it… :( But there is a fix for that! :)

Most of us think that we need to use a lighter color concealer to cover the dark circles. Wrong!!! If you apply a too light color concealer on your dark circles  they turn to gray and actually make them look even darker.  If you apply too dark still you will see dark circles. So color should be not too dark or not too light. We have to neutralize the dark circles. How can we erase the under eye circles? Read carefully. Here is the trick.

Before applying your concealer put your eye cream or gel to make the area more moist then apply your foundation an buff … This will give you some coverage. Than you can start applying your under eye concealer. Do not rub. Tap gently with your finger tips.

If you have golden, tan or olive skin and you have under eye circles that have purple hue …  you will need to use peachy color concealer (orange neutralize blue)

If you have brown/bluish under eye circles use caramel color  concealer. (this is good for woman of color who have blueish circles)

Also Smoky terra-cotta that has red hue covers greenish circles.

If you are mature and have fine lines around your eyes use liquid concealer instead of cream ones… If your concealer is thick your fine lines will be more visible.

Issey Miyake backstage makeup and hair 2012/13 Paris Fashion Week. Hair and Makeup Trends…

I adore the simplicity of makeup and hair @ Issey Miyake backstage in Paris Fashion Week.  The show’s theme is minerals which means a lot of references to rocks, crystals, and volcanoes. Orange is a prominent color in the collection along with gold and other earthy colors. Hairstylist Eugene Soleiman says the look for Issey Miyake is a very classic hairstyle but twisted. There are 3 basic elements for hair. A pony tail, a part and a texture. There is a high gloss factor on hair. Down pony tail is a parted diagonally… Super chic!

Makeup is very minimal and earthy. This look is definitely simple and timeless.

Bold Makeup at PRADA Runway in Milan Fashion Week.

Yes!!! 60′s are back. We’ll see a lot of late 60′s and 70′s inspired futuristic looks in 2012/2013 Fall and Winter. Bold, geometric,  futuristic and more graphic than ever…

2012 is the year of asymmetry and bold colors. From Hollywood movie stars  to fashionistas on the street, we saw a lot of 60′s and 70′s inspired makeup this spring and summer. We will keep continue seeing more of 60′s and 70′s inspired looks in 2012/2013 Fall and Winter too.

Makeup Artist Pat McGrath created bleached eye-browed Virtual Princesses with black, purple and bright orange color eyeshadows and she also accented them with white eyeliner. Eye makeup is very bold and kinda matches to PRADA’s geometrically printed and designed collection.

There is not much to say… Future looks pretty impressive!

I saw the new Total Recall Movie last night. I must say Kate Beckinsale looked absolutely stunning!

I love the dewy skin and pale pink lip gloss. How do you create Kate’s flawless skin? Here is the answer:

First, start with a good primer. Any silicon or water base primer will help your foundation look smoother.

If you are over 30 years old, I can recommend  you the Instant Age Rewind Primer by Maybelline Cosmetics. This product is amazing. It has an amazing smooth and silky texture, it also helps your makeup stay longer.

Use a good foundation that matches  your skin tone. When matching the foundation color to your face, don’t forget!  It should also match to your chest. To create a dewy look, It is better to use a foundation that  has also some illuminator in it. My favorite product is Vitalumiere Moisture-Rith Radiance Fluid Foundation by Chanel. This foundation might be a little pricey but totally worth it.

After applying your foundation with a synthetic foundation brush evenly to your face, get a micro fiber stipple brush to blend it better. Use circular motion. This will create a super smooth, flawless and silky look. Just like an airbrush effect.

Then you can apply your eye makeup, your blush and your lipstick. Viola! You are flawless ;)
