Here are some of the photos from our scooter outing the other day.

I should have never doubted he would get it, but I did.  Heck, for the longest time he would just straddle the scooter and follow Jacob and Zack everywhere.  He has been doing the same thing with his tricycle for over a year.  Little did I know he was going to start scootering with no fear.  Check out the next few photos.  He got so into scootering I had to follow all the boys around the neighborhood to let them get it out of there systems.  Apparently our driveway and front yard was not an acceptable place to scooter

Notice in the back is a little girl scootering as well.  I had no idea scootering was such a popular way to spend your time. It is, and the boys love it, or they love me chasing them everywhere.  I have yet to figure out what the real reason is.  Who cares though, we are all having a great time and enjoying ourselves. 

Once everyone got enough of the street and court behind us they agreed to come back to the driveway.  No, we did not stop scootering.  Instead of taking a break they decided now would be a great time to do tricks on scooters. 

I forgot what he call this move, but I think it looks cool.  

As if the other stunt was not enough they felt the need to start jumping things and……

fall off their scooters and tumble down hills.  And so it was Jack wanted to try some stunts, but Zack thought he should make Jack’s scooter a bit safer so he would not hurt himself.  Seriously that is what is going on in this picture.  The funny thing to me is he wanted Jack to be safe, but did not seem to worry about himself.  Way to go boys, thanks for loving my boy.

Yes, Jack and I went and got a spider man scooter the other day.  It was worth every penny as he has ridden the scooter everyday. He has even gained some courage and will scooter through the woods and down the hill in our front yard.  It is hard on this mommy, but I think it is part of growing up.  Until next time, we are off to go and do some more scootering.

I do not know where to begin as I wrote this post and for some reason it did not save and went bye bye.  So here I am again writing about how I can not wait to go to Greece.

For awhile I have been contemplating what is the best way to see all I want around Greece and the Greek Islands.  I think cruising the islands is by far the best idea.  Above you can see the lovely ship I am planning on taking.  

A good friend of mine found this spectacular site and says he knows some who have used them and loved it. His insight was great about how to get around all the islands of Greece.  Okay, this next part is going to make me sound lazy, but I am typing it anyway knowing you all agree even if you choose not to mention it.

All the reasons why I should cruise the islands instead of plane hopping.  When I hop on this lovely ship I will only get off to visit the various islands of my choosing and tour, tour and more touring all day long all throughout the wonderful islands.  When my lovely day of touring is done I come back to my wonderful room on the ship and do one of a few things.  I could pass out because I am exhausted from being such a tourist.  Party hardy because I am so excited to be in Greece or a combination of the two.  The best thing about any of the above situations is they are all amazing and I will be in Greece.

So, now for the good stuff.  Here are some of the pictures which will make you want to hop on a plane yourself.

Breathtaking.  Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I do not think it could get any better than this.  

Are you kidding me?  Who would not want to go here? 

Seriously, I could be there walking through history.  Holy Cow Batman!  I need to get some money and now before I wet my pants. 

Okay, I get it, some do not have the same obsession with Greece as I do.  

Because I am about to get off this computer and book a ticket I have to end this post.  Okay, I am not really buying my ticket yet, but believe me I would so love to do so.

I do not think I have to type much for this pic.  Zack is having a blast.  NO, he does not wear classes.  Actually, these classes go with our 3-D sidewalk chalk.  Zack seem to think if he put these on while playing on the slip n’ slide things would be 3-D.  They definitely were not, but he had a blast as I assume you can tell by the picture.  

Here we have Jacob surfing.  I think it was right after the camera clicked Jacob fell on his behind.  No worries though, even if anyone of them received a real injury you would have never known as they were having way to much fun to stop or even acknowledge they were injured.  

And here we have Jackson on the slip n’ slide.  What was so awesome about this was he would run up to the mat and then stop.  Next he would get on all fours holding his spider man kickboard and crawl down the slide.  It was the cutest thing ever.  He was having a blast.  He spent a great amount of time watching Jake and Zack slide away.  

They had so much fun creating such a mess we had to move the slide to a new place.  Here is what my front yard looked like after the first move. For all of those at home wanting to keep a clean yard, I do not suggest putting one of these in your front yard.  Four days later it has finally recovered.

To all of those wanting to slip n’ slide I will leave you this amazing picture of the three boys and their smiling faces.  Seriously, they had true pure fun.  I thought it was awesome and it put me a good mood just watching them.  

What can get any better than that?

Okay, can you hear my trying to talk myself out of my sunburn.  Unfortunately, these types of things do not work.  What in the heck am I going to do?

The following events may not have happened in this order, but they happened none the less and we had a blast doing it all. 

Firs we have the turtle sighting in our front yard.  Please keep in mind we live on a half acre with another half acre behind us.  We followed the turtle all the way to the lake.  If the turtle would get to far ahead of us Jack would let me know we had to hurry up or the turtle would get away.  Here is the infamous turtle I have been speaking off.  Here is a pic of the turtle getting away from on his or her way to the lake.  
Soon after this we had a chalk drawing phase on the driveway with the boys up the street.  Heck, we almost filled the whole driveway.  I think they would have if they were not called to go home.  Jack could not stand them having to leave so we followed. 

I just could not resist taking the next picture.  

To me this picture says it all.  Do you see all these boys and how they are posed?  Yes, this is who I spend almost every hour of every day with.  I feel like a surrogate mother.  I love it though as they are amazing to Jack and he thinks they are all amazing boys.  He loves them and wants to be just like them.  Heck, that is not even his scooter, nor does he know how to ride it yet, but every time we go to their house you better believe he is going to walk around with that scooter and not ever put it down.  

They even have a jump in their yard which he walks the scooter over.  He has no fear and he is only three.  I can only imagine what the future is holding for me.  He loves to watch the boys jump and do tricks.  I just know he is formulating all the same moves in his head for when he is ready.  

There is a tone more, but I am stopping now as my book is calling me!

My goal is to teach Jack how to swim this summer.  Anyone out there no how to do this with your own kiddos.  I am a pretty good swimmer, and have taught many a children how to swim through the years.  Yet, I stand hear unable to teach my own little guy.  Yeah, this is our first trip to the pool this summer, but I can already tell. 

He holds on to me for dear life and well I feel for him.  I know he can do it because when I let go of him today he knew how to make himself float.  Seriously, he can float all on his own. He would not do it again.  

A few times he let me take him under water very quickly, but that is it.  I do not know.  Anyone have any ideas out there?

While at our friends, the youngest daughter bust out with I want to take Jack on a scooter ride.  Jack lit up like a dance club does at the end of the night when they are sending people home.  Okay, a bit week, but I was sick of saying like lights on a christmas tree.  If you have a better one send me an email.  I will use it and give you credit.  

Now, let us get back to the scooter tale.  Mckenzie got the scooter out and off they went, or so we thought.  Shortly after the started down the court Kenzi bust out with both the tires are flat and so the intermission begins.  Jack on the other hand was in no mood for in intervention and starting the break down process from no nap.  

I did not even think to take pictures here so I apologize in advance.  Once the tires were fixed the iphone came to the rescue and captured some moments.  Anything better would have had sound, but I will use the words in place of what went down.  I know, this is not as interesting, but exciting all the same.  

Yipeee, the tires are fixed and I want to go now.   If you notice the kick stand is down.  What you can not tell is the holder for the kickstand is broken.  You have to use a pony tail holder and attach it to something under the scooter.  So, here is where we had to have Jack get off so we could attach the kick stand.  Break down number one went down here, but was quickly halted once the key to the scooter was turned. He immediately got up from crying and got on the scooter.  

Mini breakdown # 2 occurred when the back up process was not to his liking.  In a normal day I would have stopped this and not allowed him to continue because of his poor choice of behavior, yet for some reason I let him to continue to riding.  

They finally got going and had a blast.  They went on and on until we had to stop him.  I bet you can guess what happened at the end and I can let you know you are 100% correct so I will not even address that.  What does need to be addressed is his ability to honk the horn non stop while Kenzi is driving him around.  Seriously, they went up and down the court several times while Jack honk the horn to a perfect beat the entire time.  

It was great and I loved it, but I was also quite embarrassed as well.  I am just excited I got the documentation for the site.  He has a blast and I had fun.

There you have it.  The ride is over.  Notice Kenzie is smiling while Jack looks angry.  Like I said he had a breakdown, while I had the grace of God with me because I did not get upset.  We went home and he fell asleep for a long while.  I had to wake him up or he would have never gone back to bed for the night.  Heck, he might have slept through the night, but I was not willing to be that risky.  Until next time.

I am done for the summer except for a robot camp for two weeks, but pretty much done.  I am scared as all get out.  I have never met a retired couple yet whom says their first year of living together after being retired was easy.  Okay, you may be thinking What?  Here is the what.  Stu is out of of job and spends his days studying.  This was all well and good when I went to work everyday. Well, now I am home and will be with him all summer just like we are a retired couple.  

I am scared.  Do not get me wrong.  I love him dearly, but I am not ready to be retired at 31 and I am going through the motions. 

Does anyone out there have a connection they could extend him?  Seriously, this is not a joke.  You may think this is funny, but this is going to be one of my many attempts of networking.  I sure hope one of my attempts works out.
