It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Too much boozing, too much recovery time, am I getting too old for the amount of alcohol and partying I’m doing? Quite possibly. I’ve realised that I’m not doing enough of the things outside of drinking, partying and working (in that order) that make me happy. Hence this post of images I’ve found & collected from all manner of places in the digital ether. doomsday is coming!

That’s right folks, MF DOOM will be playing live here in the UK in October 2010. I don’t think I need to say much more to you other than book you tickets now!

This show will be featuring special guests, no idea who this will include but judging by Dooms acquaintances it will be someone who runs along side him in the stonesthrow label.

2010 shows:

Oct 13th – The Warehouse Project, Manchester
Oct 14th – O2 Academy Brixton, London
Oct 15th – Concorde 2, Brighton
Oct 16th – O2 Academy, Bristol

Here’s what they say:

Having spent years at the forefront of underground hip-hop, DOOM (previously MF Doom) will at last embark on a debut UK tour this October. The DOOMSDAY tour will feature DOOM’s first ever shows outside of London and are a rare chance to catch the mask-wearing maverick in action.

The tour follows a triumphant, one-off UK date at London’s Roundhouse venue this March. 3,000 tickets were sold in under three weeks and those lucky enough to attend the sold out show witnessed DOOM performing classics from his extensive arsenal of recorded material.

DOOM’s various and ongoing musical escapades include output as alternative alter-egos King Geedorah, Metal Fingers and Viktor Vaughan, in addition to co-creations with Madlib (as ‘Madvillain’), Danger Mouse (as ‘DangerDOOM’), and a cameo on the Gorillaz multi-million selling Demon Days LP. The rapper and producer’s most recent studio album, Born Like This, is a tour de force of thrillingly intricate, diabolically original songwriting and has been hailed as one of the essential hip-hop LPs of recent years.

Hi folks, it’s been a while since we’ve updated mainly due to us being mad busy with new jobs, Tom moving country and a mental stag do that completely demolished any creative juices for at least 2 weeks.

But now the dust has settled, the hangover has gone and we’re back on track to deliver the goodness straight to your screen.

So first things first:

After a huge successful event last year, Budget Jam 2010 has been officially announced and will be held at the War memorial Skate Park Saturday 4th September 2010 from 9am til 7pm.

So far, the schedule looks something like this:

09:00: Dirt Practice
10:00: Open Dirt
11:00: Highest Bunnyhop
11:30: Highest Air
12:00: Park Practice
13:00: Am Park
15:00: Pro only Park Practice
16:00: Pro Park
18:30: Prize Giving
19:00: Budget Booze Afterparty at the White Hart

As usual this event will be a corker as it goes from strength to strength. This year the comp has officially teamed up with The Lab an online shop selling lots of goodies including Total BMX frames which is has exclusivity on!

the fenchurch tee fest

Get your creative hats on!!!

The Fenchurch Teefest is a competition to design a new Tee to rock the upcoming festival season.

All you need to do to enter is come up with an original, innovative way of interpreting their iconic logo. Fenchurch have always handpicked the most respected freelance designers out there, and now they’re opening it up to the public.

How it works
Send in your ideas by 1st June 2010, Fenchurch will then select 10 favourite ladies and men’s designs and display them at fenchurch.com, then let the public vote for the winner. The person with the most votes on 11th June 2010 when the competition ends gets to see their design transformed into a Fenchurch tee and sold all over the world. Simple as that.

The Brief
Create a graphic incorporating the iconic Fenchurch logo using the summer festival season as a reference point.

The design can be produced in any medium, from photography to illustration so long as it incorporates the logo and is based on the summer festival theme. Interpret the theme in any way you like. Fun, mud, music, friends….you know the score.

The Prize
The winners will be announced on 11th June 2010. There will be one winner for the men’s Tee and one for the women’s, they will both receive a £200 prize as well as seeing their T-shirt design being produced and sold in stores and on www.fenchurch.com.
