For those that couldn’t get down to Name This Bar on Oxford St in Sydney to see the first 2 battles of Secret Wars Australia, 2 videos have been posted, one from each round.

shaun white – the tomahawk

A while back we posted up about Redbull Project X. A secret project that gives Shaun White access to his own backyard foam pit, and a 550′ private pipe. It took 2 months 250,000 cubic yards of snow to build the pipe, including 30 heli-bombed avalanches that were needed to bring down enough snow to form it. The foam pit is 20′ x 30′ and has 7200 foam blocks to fill it, giving 600 sqft of foam to stamp a few new tricks.

This is where Shaun has been practicing his new trick, the Tomahawk, which is a double McTwist 1260 (2 flips, three and-a-half twists).

Well for all those that tuned in to the mens Olympic halfpipe final, you would have had the pleasure of seeing this executed in his victory lap.

Banksy “Exit Through the Gift Shop” Trailer

Banksys documentary “Exit Through the Gift Shop” (trailer below) will be shown at the Sundance Film Festival 2010 in Park City, Utah between the 24th jan and the 30th. The film is shot in the UK and the USA with a running time of 89 minutes. For screening times and more info check the Sundance website. The films website is www.banksyfilm.com and is due to open in UK cinemas on the 5th of March.

John Cooper, director of Sundance, described the film as “one of those films that comes along once in a great while, a warped hybrid of reality and self-induced fiction, while at the same time a totally entertaining experience. The story is so bizarre I began to question if it could even be real … but in the end I didn’t care.”

“I feel bad I won’t be able to shake the filmmaker’s hand and tell him how much I love this film. I think I will shake everyone’s hand that day and hope I hit on Banksy somewhere. I love his work in all forms.”

If You Could: Collaborate Opening

The If You Could Collaborate exhibition opened its doors last friday and as you can see with a good turn out. The show closes this Saturday at 6pm. If you can’t get down there before the close, all the final pieces can be seen on the If You Could Flickr pages, the final pieces , the show set up and the opening. someone, “a concerned local”, recently offered to put a brick through the window of The Con Artist in Thirroul because they placed the FREE* Madonna singlet in their shop window (news clip from msn below…). a note was popped under the door which read “If the singlet is not removed… you may find some concerned local might put a brick through your window.” looks like pvt win that round in their continual effort to shockingly awaken.
