Malaysians traveling to Japan for short-term holidays or businesses will soon be exempted from applying any Japanese Visas and this was confirmed by the Japanese Embassy in Malaysia on  the 14th June 2013. When this will be implemented is still pending as of writing this but it is assured to be in the very near future.

Events in Malaysia July 2013

A mix of sports, art, and foreign cultural events kicks off the third quarter of 2013. Everyone is invited to come and experience Malaysia’s tourism highlights in July for an unforgettable experience and holiday throughout the nation. Love Shopping? Fear not as the month also sees the second massive nationwide sale for the Malaysian Mega Sale 2013. If you have not witness this beautiful event, I would recommend you make a date in Bali this early June. Myeongdong Shopping District is one of the must visit places in Seoul if you are a city and shopping lover. Visiting Seoul in February turned out to be an eye opener for me as it was my inaugural visit to Korea. The best part - I did not do any research at all, I just packed my bags and headed there via AirAsia X. The weather in February? Cold. Sabah Rainforest is my picture of the week. Blessed with some amazing and one of the oldest rainforest in the world, Sabah offers multiple areas where you can explore the beautiful lush rainforest throughout the year. The photo above was taken at the Rainforest Discovery Center in Sandakan at 6 am on one of my trips there for the Borneo Bird Festival.

Is Sabah Safe? This is a question brought up by many travelers who are totally unsure of the recent situation that occurred there in February 2013. However, I would personally like to stress that YES, Sabah is safe. The situation has been under control and the area effected was in a remote part of Lahad Datu which is way out of the main tourism areas.
