Max Esmail presented God Would See It, his Spring Summer 2027 collection, during New York Fashion Week, looking to architect Mies van der Rohe and the value of details that remain unseen. The title references Mies van der Rohe’s decision to clad the hidden brick firewall of the Seagram Building in bronze because, as he explained, “God would see it.”

Esmail applies that principle directly to garment construction. Hidden seams, internal structures and supporting layers receive the same attention as the exterior silhouette, giving each piece an architectural logic that begins beneath the surface.

The designer treats clothing as architecture for the body, reducing each garment to structure, material and form. Simple, severe silhouettes place greater emphasis on construction, allowing the technical work inside each piece to determine its final shape.

Material selection follows the same approach. Esmail works with virgin wool, cashmere, silk, leather, Super 200’s Cerruti cloth and industrial hardware throughout the collection. The fabrics provide weight, grain and texture, while the hardware supports the structure.

That relationship draws directly from the architectural reference behind the season. Mies van der Rohe used stone and steel according to their individual qualities and functions. Esmail applies a comparable logic to fabric and hardware, allowing each material to contribute differently to the garment.

God Would See It focuses on the parts of clothing that often disappear once a piece reaches the body. Esmail treats internal construction as part of the design itself, using refined fabrics, industrial components and restrained silhouettes to connect architectural thinking with garment making.

RETORI introduces Syntropy, the Spring Summer 2027 Chapter 05 collection shaped through a dialogue between founder and creative director Salma Rachid, the creative team and Chinese American artist Ye Zhu. The season considers memory, spirituality, materiality and personal growth through clothing designed to carry traces of lived experience.

Zhu grew up in Brooklyn after his parents moved from the agrarian Taishan region of China to New York. His mother’s gardening practice influenced the way he approaches art, treating creation as an ongoing process of cultivation. His works use shaped wooden panels layered with clay, ceramic, aluminum, natural fibers and objects tied to personal history, bringing painting, sculpture and assemblage into dense, tactile compositions.

RETORI carries these ideas into a modular wardrobe built for movement and adaptation. Draped forms alternate with more structured silhouettes, taking cues from the organic construction found in Zhu’s work.

The color palette also comes directly from his canvases. Tilled-earth shades, open-sea tones, butter, tobacco, sand and moss green appear alongside lilac, ice blue, orange and aubergine. Platinum and aluminum silver add metallic accents throughout the collection.

The house’s signature Double construction returns in lightweight wool. The shawl-collared coat appears alongside a deconstructed three-patch-pocket jacket, a sculptural bomber and softly tailored menswear. Brushed wool gives tailoring a softer volume, while linen-silk fabrics shape enveloping jackets, belted outerwear and Bermuda ensembles.

Cotton poplin pajama sets extend the relaxed side of the wardrobe through bowling shirts and long-sleeve shirts paired with long or short trousers. RETORI also develops its Packable Series with waterproof trench coats and bombers created for urban use and travel.

Evening dressing focuses on light, transparency and fluidity. Envers satin appears on its lustrous reverse in trousers and draped constructions, while platinum-toned fringe introduces metallic movement and added surface texture.

Zhu’s work Mending River Body provides the starting point for the exclusive Galaxy motif. RETORI renders the constellation print in champagne with platinum foiling and in a nocturnal blue version, extending the collection’s interest in memory, connection and celestial imagery.

Knitwear becomes one of the season’s most tactile categories. Organic stitches, wave constructions, three-dimensional spirals and net geometries create surfaces that appear carved or cultivated. Metallic lurex yarns form ribbed and translucent structures, while cotton, silk and cashmere combinations build raised spiral patterns.

Menswear develops these ideas further through degradé silk knits, textured cotton pieces and layered compositions. An embroidered “x” motif returns throughout the collection as a symbol of interconnected identities.

Accessories continue the same symbolic approach. Three-dimensional leather brooches take the form of florals, lizards and scarabs through layering, inlay and lamination. VIVET introduced its first collection at Cipriani in Lower Manhattan, presenting a wardrobe alongside footwear and luxury leather goods. Founded by digital creator and entrepreneur Kai Cenat, the label brings together contemporary tailoring, sportswear references and subcultural influences.

SPRING SUMMER 2027

The name VIVET comes from a Latin phrase meaning “he, she, or it will live forever.” Cenat developed the project after spending several months in Italy studying textile manufacturing, pattern-making and leather construction with industry specialists. He uses the debut collection to document his own development, translating shifts in his personal style into a more disciplined design approach.

The runway unfolded in three acts, each representing a different stage in that progression. Cenat’s journal provided a recurring reference throughout the presentation. The silhouettes began oversized and heavily layered, then gradually became cleaner and more controlled. Color and attitude remained consistent through all three sections.

Act One, Origin, introduced deliberately unresolved hoodies and sweatpants with crude proportions and irregular shapes. Heavy jackets stayed open to emphasize volume and retain an unfinished quality. The Beginner Hoodie, the first VIVET garment Cenat sewed by hand, opened the runway and established the collection’s starting point.

Act Two, Exploration, pushed the wardrobe into denser layering and stronger subcultural references. Leather overcoats, substantial outerwear, skinny denim and structured boots defined this section. Jackets remained open, preserving a looser attitude while leather became increasingly dominant.

Act Three, Authorship, marked the most resolved point of the collection. Tailored suiting, structured leather coats and fluid silk appeared in sharper shapes. Jackets and coats closed fully for the first time in the show, signaling a shift toward greater control and structure. The section completed the progression from raw streetwear references to precise tailoring.

Materials play a major role throughout the debut. VIVET works with cotton canvas, neoprene, denim and leather, with leather carrying much of the collection’s visual weight through outerwear, trousers and tailored shirting. Cotton canvas and denim provide a workwear base, while neoprene introduces firmer volume and structure.

Gusseted elbows, diagonal pleats and exposed seams keep the garment-making process present within the finished pieces. Cenat also applies waxes and varnishes by hand, giving surfaces a harder, altered finish. Warm ground tones dominate the palette, joined by accents of white, silver, mustard and blue.

Leather goods extend the collection beyond clothing. The Cenova bag, the earliest accessory concept developed for VIVET, appears throughout the presentation, while the Streamer bag translates digital broadcasting references into a luxury leather form. Boots and hand-finished leather pieces continue the material language established in the clothing.

Cenat also draws from his personal background through the scuba moto shirt, varnished jeans and cargo work jacket. Their cuts and finishes reference his Haitian background and carnival tradition. Public School New York approaches Spring Summer 2027 through the idea of clothing as equipment for everyday life. Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow titled the collection LIVING PROOF, using the season to examine how a uniform can function once education extends beyond the classroom and into daily experience.

The designers returned on Thursday, September 10, with their second collection following Fall 2026, which they described as a homecoming. For Spring 2027, they turn their attention toward surroundings that feel both new and familiar. Their starting point comes from continual change and the way clothing can respond to shifting circumstances.

Modularity shapes much of the collection. Osborne and Chow create garments that allow wearers to adjust layers according to conditions, while practical details extend the function of individual pieces. Hardware-free belts also work as cross-shoulder straps for carrying clothing and accessories. Elsewhere, outer layers reveal lighter underpinnings that alter the silhouette as garments come apart.

Public School continues its recognizable approach to structure through broad, built-out shoulders. The designers treat that volume as an additional protective layer against rain and wind. The same concern with changing conditions appears in waterproof galoshes, which cover a new footwear mix featuring exaggerated toe springs.

Fabric selection gives the collection another level of variation. Natural wool appears alongside baby ribbed cotton, yarn-dyed cupro, viscose and cashmere cotton. Washed synthetics and ripstop nylon introduce technical qualities. Woven shirting meets soft jersey, which the designers wrap around the body to create depth through contrasting textures and construction.

A restrained palette of navy, black, grey and stone runs throughout Spring Summer 2027 collection. Public School combines these shades with versatility and utility in mind, while also referencing the idea of camouflage within a large city. Osborne and Chow describe clothing that can visually recede into its surroundings while keeping the wearer ready for changing conditions.

The collection also develops the designers’ long-running interest in uniforms. Here, the concept extends past associations with school clothing and becomes a wider study of what people require from a daily wardrobe. Public School connects that idea with memories of growing up, present surroundings and the constant evolution that defines the designers’ view of Spring 2027.

Through LIVING PROOF, Osborne and Chow treat menswear as a flexible system of layers, protective elements, technical fabrics and adaptable accessories. The collection keeps familiar Public School codes in view while examining how those codes can respond to contemporary daily life.

CAMPILLO unveiled its Spring Summer 2027 collection, In Medias Res, in New York City through an ongoing partnership with Tequila Don Julio. The collection takes its name from the Latin phrase for “in the midst of things,” a narrative device that begins a story while events are already underway. Patricio Campillo uses that idea to think about nostalgia as a form of preservation, focusing on experiences that change as memory carries them forward.

Mexican identity and charro culture continue to inform CAMPILLO’s approach. For Spring Summer 2027, Campillo considers how memory leaves behind impressions instead of exact records. He carries that idea directly into the fitting process, allowing garments to develop through cutting, pinning, draping and changes in proportion.

Those adjustments remain visible in the finished collection. Shirts fall away from the shoulder, jackets open to reveal additional layers and fabrics wrap around the body in unexpected ways. Campillo keeps these gestures intact, using construction to hold garments in transitional states that still retain the immediacy of the fitting room.

Material choices extend the same idea. Horsehair returns as a key part of CAMPILLO’s vocabulary and appears across shirts, skirts and jackets through new treatments. Silk and crepe introduce fluidity, while onyx adds weight and a more sculptural quality. The collection also incorporates a biologically derived polymer produced by bacteria, placing a material created through a living process alongside traditional and natural ones.

Spring Summer 2027 also expands CAMPILLO’s accessories offering through jewelry and pieces made in silver and onyx. These harder materials provide a sense of permanence against garments defined by folds, movement and changing volume.

Charro references appear through cropped cuts, elongated proportions, layering and altered shapes. Campillo updates traditional tailoring through contemporary silhouettes and combines structured forms with softer fabrics and more fluid treatments. The season also introduces a broad range of color and unexpected material pairings.

CAMPILLO continues its relationship with Tequila Don Julio through a new Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino Artist Edition Bottle designed by Campillo. The bottle debuted during the runway show, with the East River and Brooklyn Bridge forming the setting.

The design references El Puente Eterno, Tequila Don Julio’s global Día de Muertos campaign, and draws from the symbolic cempasúchil bridge believed to guide loved ones home. The project connects Campillo’s Mexican references with his contemporary design approach.

Footwear forms another part of the season through a collaboration with Mariano Shoes, part of APICCAPS, the Portuguese Footwear Association. The partnership gave CAMPILLO access to Portuguese leather and footwear production, which Campillo interpreted through Mexican references. Selected looks also featured Nike footwear, continuing the existing relationship between CAMPILLO and Nike.

Libertine marks its 25th anniversary with Spring Summer 2027, presenting Out of the Chaos and Into the Garden during New York Fashion Week at The National Arts Club. Johnson Hartig builds the collection around flowers, butterflies, garden imagery and visual references drawn from daily life, extending the instinctive approach to print and surface treatment that has shaped the label for a quarter century.

The anniversary gives the season a clear sense of perspective. Libertine has spent 25 years operating independently, following its own creative direction and resisting conventional expectations. The label has remained profitable and creatively uncompromised throughout that period, while Hartig has continued to develop ideas according to curiosity and personal instinct.

Spring Summer 2027 turns that approach toward the garden. Hartig introduces Warholian butterflies on ivory silk, using the motif as one of the collection’s recurring visual elements. Butterflies return at a larger scale through giant paillettes, adding another level of texture and dimension to the clothes.

A Bloomsbury-esque patchwork on linen continues Libertine’s established interest in layered decoration and mixed references. Hartig places the patchwork alongside printed and hand-worked surfaces, creating a collection in which different techniques sit within the same visual system.

One of the season’s most unexpected ideas came from Hartig’s own home. While his foyer was being painted, he became fascinated by the drop cloths used during the work. Their splattered surfaces inspired a drop-cloth print, turning an accidental pattern into a textile reference for Spring Summer 2027.

The garden theme develops through hand-silkscreened tools, which transform ordinary functional objects into graphic elements. Hartig also uses embroidery to push the concept further through a topiary coat decorated with double boxwood in Versailles boxes.

These references give Out of the Chaos and Into the Garden its character without reducing the collection to a single decorative idea. Butterflies, patchwork, topiary, tools and paint marks come from separate sources, yet each reflects Hartig’s tendency to collect images and impressions from wherever he encounters them.

Silk, linen, embroidery, silkscreening, paillettes and print carry those ideas through the collection. The materials and techniques provide Hartig with different ways to interpret the visual references that caught his attention, whether they came from art, gardens or a temporary protective cloth covered in paint.

Twenty-five years into Libertine, that instinct remains central to the label’s identity. Hartig continues to follow ideas as he finds them, allowing unexpected objects and decorative references to enter the collection through color, texture, print and surface treatment.

Bulgari has enlisted Hudson Williams for a new Serpenti campaign, placing the Heated Rivalry actor inside a playful short film centered on one very unconventional room service order. Released with the line, “Your room service has arrived. And it’s pure Serpenti,” the campaign gives the Roman jewelry house’s snake motif a humorous, character-driven treatment.

JEWELRY

That playful approach gives Williams a clear role beyond simply wearing the jewelry. His expressions, gestures and interaction with the pieces drive the film, while the jewelry remains the central visual subject. Bulgari uses humor while keeping attention on the diamonds, sculptural forms and serpent heads that identify the collection.

Serpenti has formed part of Bulgari’s design vocabulary since 1948. The house developed the snake as a recurring symbol connected to transformation and renewal, translating its coiled form into necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches and other jewelry. Current Serpenti Infinito creations include diamond-set pieces in white and rose gold, continuing the collection’s focus on the serpent through curved lines and articulated forms.

Williams already has an established connection with Bulgari. Earlier in 2026, he wore Serpenti jewelry for several major appearances. At the Academy Awards, he paired a Serpenti Tubogas watch with a high-jewelry Serpenti brooch, B.zero1 earrings and rings. The brooch featured two pear-shaped emeralds, 52 marquise diamonds and pavé-set diamonds.

His latest campaign develops that relationship through a format that feels less formal than his previous red-carpet appearances. Bulgari places the jewelry directly inside the action, allowing Williams to pick up the pieces, study them and play with their snake forms.

Tommy Hilfiger brought its Spring 2027 menswear to The Plaza Hotel for New York Fashion Week, framing the season around the brand’s familiar prep vocabulary. The collection centered on collegiate references, American sportswear and altered proportions, with The Plaza adding a personal note through Hilfiger’s own history with the hotel.

“For 40 years, I’ve been inspired by the style of New Yorkers – how the people of the city take the classics and make them their own,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “This season, The Plaza is our playground, where Tommy icons feel remixed and refined for today.”

Spring 2027 develops familiar prep through changes in proportion, fabrication and color. Red, white and blue remain central to the collection, joined by vivid yellow and green. Oxford shirting comes in Ithaca stripes, while tartan appears on blazers and Ivy jackets, bringing collegiate references directly into the tailoring.

Polos shift between compact and oversized cuts and feature micro embroidery of the Tommy crest. Raised collars continue the collection’s connection to collegiate dressing. Chinos receive a stronger update through high-cut shorts and longer versions with subtly twisted seams borrowed from denim construction.

The global brand ambassador appears in a series of images built around denim, workwear, vintage cars and roadside settings that connect the season to American road culture.

AD CAMPAIGNS

The wardrobe focuses heavily on denim. Hyunjin wears pigment-washed sets, jeans in several washes and silhouettes, and layered denim combinations that keep one of GUESS’s core categories in focus.
