Paul teaches the Ephesians to recognize the works of the old man and the new man, because we need to learn it first. the change happens by the renewal of the mind. The old man is still rotten and growing in corruption, so we put it off, and we put on the new man.

God given authority

All authority is given by God. If you obey the authorities you will receive praise from them. The authorities provide peace where we can spread the gospel. Let's contribute to this peace and work together with the authorities. We don't need to fight, but be humble and lowly. The authorities work for us and if they don't God is on our side. Pray for your leaders and lift your hands.

The Parable of the Sower. God sows the seed, His Word. As hearers we are responsible to take care of our garden and watch that the seed goes to good soil. Many times troubles and worries can choke the plant of Word, but we have to rip thorns away. Let's be good listeners and receive from Him with mental discipline; let's treasure His Word and may it grow much fruit in our lives!

Often it is difficult to think with God when I am in my misery. I shout: "Jesus, help me, I need your help now!". But He is quiet and waits, things go worse. Still He is right there with me. There are things in my life that God allows to happen, but even then I can trust in Him. We will see the glory of God, when we believe in Him. God can raise the death! John 11 & 12 (John 11:40).

Satan comes with all kind of lies, putting doubt in the hearts of men. When doubt comes we get poisoned and we can't see God's work in our lifes, but we can learn to recongnize it. Jesus has crushed satan and the snake is now cursed and dead on the tree, but Jesus has overcome the death and is lifted up to heavens. We look upon Jesus and don't listen to the lies. When we set our eyes on Him we will be saved! (Deut 21:20-22, John 3:14-15, Num 21:4-9, Gen 3:1, Acts 5:30-31)
