Tetanus Shot, Finally Not Sick and Back to Blogging

I’ve been away from the computer for a week. I kept up with emails from my blackberry but other than that no internet for me. I finally got rid of my virus. I had also blacked out one day and cut my finger while slicing apples. While I was at the Dr. getting medicine for my cold/virus she decided I needed a tetanus shot too. Let me tell you the shot its self didn’t hurt but afterward… ouch! My arm was red, swollen and sore (which dr. said were all “normal”) where I got the shot for an entire week! The pain, redness and swelling just went away yesterday. The pain from that shot hurt a heck of a lot more than it did when I sliced my finger open. I’m so glad to be feeling much better. I’m behind on getting things posted that were supposed to be posted but I shall play ketchup Things should be back to “normal” around here soon. Now I have to go close all my giveaways and draw winners. So sorry for the delay but it couldn’t be helped. I hope everyone had a nice relaxing Labor day weekend. We spent the weekend with family in WV so now Ive got to catch up on things here at home and get ready for Daddy B’s birthday tomorrow. A woman’s work is never done.

I’m Sick

I’ve been hit with a cold or something. I spent most of the day in bed yesterday. I have a stuffy/ runny nose, sore throat and a cough. What bothers me the most is the being dizzy headed, nauseated and hearing weird noises in my ear. I’ve held out from going to the Dr. up to today but I dont think the over the counter meds are doing much for me so I may just have to take a trip to the Dr.’s office today. I need to get better before we take a trip this coming weekend. I feel really really bad. Posts will pick back up once I am feeling well enough to sit at the desk. I’ll announce giveaway winners as soon as I can. Sorry for the delay.

Dryel On the Go Stain Remover Pen & 3 -in- 1 Touch Up Spray Review

Along with the Dryel Starter Kit for at home dry cleaning I also received the Dryel On the Go Instant Stain Remover Pen & the Dryel 3 in 1 Touch Up Spray for review.

Baby B thinks that when it’s time to eat supper that he has to take his shirt off every time because I told him once that he had to take his “good” shirt off so he didn’t get pizza sauce on it. Now he thinks he has to sit bare belly every evening at the kitchen table. A lot of his shirts have become “play” shirts because he got pasta sauce, marker or something on them that didn’t come out when I did the laundry. Thanks to the Dryel On the Go stain remover pen I don’t have to worry about set in stains anymore. As I showed in my Dryel Starter Kit review & giveaway I used the stain remover pen to get out a 5 year old baby formula milk stain from a baby tux that was “dry clean only”. Fresh stain or set in stain should be no problem for the Dryel On the Go stain remover pen. Since the Dryel Starter Kit came with a stain remover pen and I was sent a second On the Go stain remover pen I keep one downstairs with the laundry and I put the other in my purse. The Dryel On the Go is safe for all clothes, including dry clean only materials. You can even use it on delicates and hand washables such as wool, rayons, silks, linens, cottons and other special care fabrics. When I used the stain remover pen on the baby blue tux I was afraid that it would leave some kind of bleach mark or something that would pull all the color out of the fabric. Thankfully the pen left no marks on the tux what so ever as you can see. I used to carry the Shout to Go wet wipes with me when we would go out but I have swapped out my Shout wipes for the Dryel On the Go pen. Now I don’t worry as much when I see Baby B eating ice cream or ketchup or pizza because I know I have the stain removing power at my fingertips.

The Dryel 3-in-1 Touch Up spray is also made to use on both everyday clothes and the dry clean only clothes. You can use the Touch Up spray to extend the wear of clothes between washes. The Dryel 3-in-1 Touch Up spray can be used to remove wrinkles, slight smells and helps reduce cling. Just give the clothes a light, misty spray then use your hands to smooth and press away wrinkles and let them clothes hang to air dry or put them in the dryer for a few minutes. It also works like Febreze and pulls the odors from fabrics. I can take Little B’s church shirts and spray the Dryel Touch up spray on the arm pits of the shirts so that he can wear it again Sunday night and it doesn’t smell like sweat without me having to wash it between services. It’s also great for days that I do laundry and I forget to take the clothes right out of the dryer and hang/ fold them and put them away. I can just spray the wrinkled clothes with Dryel Touch Up and smooth the clothes back out without having to run my dryer a second time for a full load of clothes just because I let them wrinkle. I despise doing ironing, a lot, so to be able to get out of it sometimes and still have our clothes look good is a big plus in my book.

Dryel products are designed to help save you time and money as you avoid the dry cleaners and ironing board. Dryel is a convenient at home dry cleaning system that safely steams, cleans and removes wrinkles and odors all while saving you time and money. Dryel allows you to turn your dryer into a steam cleaning machine. The Dryel Starter Kit brings the quality of a professional dry cleaners in to your own home. The Dryel Starter Kit comes with 2 ultra concentrated cleaning sheets (1 sheet does 1 load of dry cleaning), an Instant Stain Remover Pen, Re-usable Fabric Protection Bag and an instruction sheet that also has Dryel laundry product coupons attached. Dryel is also available in economical 6 load refill packs in Clean Breeze scent to care for up to 24 garments.

You can place up to 4 garments in the Dryel fabric bag. You add a pre-moistened Dryel cloth to the bag and zip it closed. Toss it into the dryer on medium heat for 15-30 minutes. Your clothes may still be a little damp when you remove them from the dryer. As soon as the dryer is done running you should hang the clothes up right away to help get rid of any left behind wrinkles. You can throw the Dryel cloth away but the Dryel Fabric Bag is made for at least 50 loads maybe even more.

When shopping for clothes I would always avoid buying clothes that were “Dry clean only”. I searched my entire closet and not one of my outfits were dry clean only. I did however have a dry clean only tux suit that was Little B’s. It’s been hanging in the back of his closet for 5 years now. I’ll keep that suit forever. He had spit up on the undershirt of the suit and I didn’t notice until much later from the last time he wore it. I wanted to keep the suit but I never got around to getting it to the dry cleaners to see if they could get the spit up stains out. So it’s been hanging in the closet for 5 years with the stains. If there was ever a test to see just how well Dryel really works it’s on a 5 year old baby formula spit up stain.

I used the stain remover pen directly on the stains and rubbed with the brush tip. Put the jacket, shirt, vest and pants in the Dryel fabric bag. Added the Dryel Clean Breeze scented cloth (which smells really good) and let it go in the dryer for 30 minutes on medium heat. How did Dryel do on the 5 year old milk stain? Take a look…

It got out the 5 year old baby formula milk stains! I’m not afraid to buy myself any “dry clean only” clothes now.
