I love Little Caesars, so much so I would probably eat it every week (day) if my husband let me.  For me its a comfort food and a food that I have great memories from when I was younger.  For example, where I lived in Chicago we actually had Little Caesars play places where it was a giant pizza and fun place with rides, games and room to run around and play.  My husband always teases me and says its the $5 pizza price that calls to me, but really its the taste and freshness (not to mention the Crazy Bread.)

Now in all my years ordering Little Caesars what I love is the simplicity of the pizza.  I mean you get either cheese, sausage or pepperoni (yes they have other varieties but I like simple) and its $5.  Other places entice you with other toppings but charge $1-$2 per topping!  I never really thought about Little Caesars expanding their pizza line, so when they did I wasn’t sure how much I liked it.  Deep dish pizza from Little Caesars?  That’s like a gourmet burger from McDonalds, right?

So I decided to give their new DEEP!DEEP! Dish Pizza a try one night.  First off I will say it was smaller than I expected but yes its thicker.  It is rectangular shaped, rather than the traditional circle, and I thought it seemed smaller than the regular pizzas.  I was worried I would want to eat the whole pizza myself, as there is just eight slices!  Normally though I eat 3-4 slices of a pizza, with this deep dish pizza I ate 2 pieces and was fine.  So I guess that settles my thinking that the pizza seemed small, I guess the thickness makes up for it!

The taste was amazing and honestly I will get it again.  At just $8 it is a great value if you are looking for a fancier pizza than the traditional Little Caesars pizzas.  I  should add too that it helps to call and order it, yes you can do that.  My local Little Caesars is always out of pizzas (they are the only one around here and must be popular) so I normally have to wait 15 minutes for my pizzas.  With the deep dish being so thick (I assume thats the reason) they told me it would be about 35 minutes before it was ready.  Luckily my Little Caesars is in a Kmart so I just shop while I wait anyways.  My husband wasn’t home when I picked it up, but I think even he would like it because of the thickness and crust, normally he doesn’t like Little Caesars pizza.  Overall though it was a hit with my kids and me!

My kids have a soft spot for Caillou and honestly while the show drives me crazy with Caillou’s whining tone, it is a wholesome show.  Another favorite is my kids is bath time and we are constantly looking for new bath toys.  So when I saw Caillou’s Bath Time Activity Set I knew it’d be a hit with my kids.  The set at first glance screams “Play with Me!”  Well not literally but it just looks so colorful and fun, my kids ages 1-6 all loved it.

Caillou Bath Time Activity Set

Little ones will love bath time even more with this fun activity set. Send the Caillou figure (included) down the slippery slide. Use the larger Caillou’s hat to scoop up water and pour it in his head. Turn the swim ring and move the green fish back and forth to hear a sound. Use the net to fish the smaller Caillou figure from the water. Attach the playset to the wall with suction cups (included) for easy drying between uses.

Ages 12mos-4yrs.

The set right out of the box is ready to go.  No batteries required either!  It is a kid-powered toy where kids can pour water into Caillou’s head and watch it pour out over a spinning wheel, slide toys down the slide, and remove pieces to play with separately in the water.  There is just so much to do with this $20 toy!  The unit itself is not heavy and it had no problems sticking to my bathtub wall, which we have had problems with other bath tub toys sticking.  We have had the toy up for a few weeks now with no problem!

I think it is so adorable how Caillou’s hat comes off and your child can use it to pour water into it, which then pours through his mouth.  My kids love using the fishing net to fish out toys and sliding Caillou down the slide.  Caillou is supposed to float but it doesn’t work for us when Caillou is all together as he is top heavy.  My kids think its silly to just float part of Caillou.  There is also a fish you can slide over that makes a clicking noise.  I have never a bath toy at this low price for such a great deal, as it combines several toys in one!

It is my kids absolute favorite bath toy and I they actually have been asking to take more baths!  I highly recommend it, even for kids who don’t know who Caillou is!

Last summer I posted about Oxygen’s new show I’m Having Their Baby. The show was unlike any show out there that I’d seen before because of how personal it was. Adoption has been a sort of taboo topic and this show was not only showcasing it but showing the different sides of the stories. You got to hear why the mothers are giving their babies up for adoption, which I think definitely took some courage. So many people attack mothers who give their babies up as being selfish or say that they should have been more careful. These mothers made the best decision they could with the current situation they were in. I mean if the woman is already pregnant, there is no point in lecturing her or attacking her.

I watched the series last summer and I really liked it. The women showed their real emotions and it wasn’t staged or fake. I admit I am not one for “reality” like television shows but this one was more of a documentary. I admit that I wanted to see more after the show ended. Well Oxygen must have known what I was thinking and they have come out with the “I’m Having Their Baby: Raising Baby” web series. The web series reconnects fans with the season one families, checking in to see what has happened with both the birth moms and the adoptive families since their episode aired. It is great to see how the families have changed and grown.  It is definitely an emotional show.

Season 2 of Oxygen’s I’m Having Their Baby premieres Wednesday June 12 @ 10/9c. If you have never seen Pocoyo, it is an adorable show featuring a little boy, Pocoyo, and his animal friends.  They don’t talk!  They make noises and babble a little but no talking!  I honestly love the simplicity of the show and for my kids it is a nice change of pace.  I often wonder if they even understand the dialogue of shows they watch.  Pocoyo is a wholesome show and this DVD is full of 12 episodes perfect for any child anytime!  The show itself is just so bright and colorful too that its hard not to smile at!  The lessons are simple but educational and cute.

The makers of the popular Bratz dolls has just launched a national campaign entitled “Real Bratz.”  The campaign is geared towards inspiring girls with empowering messages of innovation and excellence.  Through social media, Real Bratz will be spotlighting real young women who have made a Real Difference, especially in the world of business.  Messages will be delivered by young women who were inspired by their own Bratz dolls and have taken on the business world.  With new inspiring attitudes, these women will soon be recognized for their unique accomplishments, which will be shared and posted across social media networks.

I know for me, dolls were my life for so long and I admit I dreamed of being just like Barbie.  I think this is awesome because girls can realize that they have a voice and can make a difference.  The Real Bratz campaign is hopefully going to motivate and encourage girls to work hard, be the best she can be, and stand up for whats right.  Girls should also realize the importance of giving back to her community by sharing her talent, time and knowledge.  Finally girls should discover what it takes to make her dreams come true, even if it means striving for the impossible.  Thinking outside the box and bringing new ideas into the world are important as well.

I know for me I want my duaghter to grow up to be a self-confident, independent and caring young woman, and I love how the Real Bratz campaign encompasses that and more.
