We’ve recently received a massive stack of tunes from MOVELTRAXX. I’m pretty happy about this.

The Parisian house music label recently dropped its 5th installement of their compilation series DA MOVELT POSSE, which showcases tracks from producers they love. There’s some big names and young blood from all around the world on this comp with no boundaries. From juke / footwork to disco house, tropical bass to dubstep and more. The label says they’re all about creating bridges and new connections and I think they’ve done just that.

Moveltraxx has offered a free download of one of the standout tunes from DISCOSOCKS (a recent Manaloguian favourite no less) – a robotdisco stomper with enough low end to satisfy most bass junkies.

Tony Saputo and Maurice Tamraz have both been in the game for a hot minute but in September 2010 they decided to work together under the alias J PAUL GETTO. In under two years they’ve built a huge name for themselves among the global house community.

For their project they collaborated with TODD TERRY, an icon who helped define house music in the late 80s. To make a long story short, the three veteran producers released a pair of instant classics on MOVELTRAXX. “The Sure Shot” is a club banger filled with funky horns and vocal hooks while “Wash The Window” is a tune full of pops and locks, shaking any living thang on this planet into a smiling, sweaty frenzy.

Two leading Manchester-based music figures deliver two equally smoking club mixes; the Godfather of UKG, Zed Bias, who deconstructs the original, re-visiting 1998, delivering an incredible remix that pays homage to the heyday of UK garage. North Base, reaching for their much-loved 140bpm, fuse stuttered beats and a warping bassline.

HeavyFeet themselves wrap up this enormous package with the take home track, which is in my books for one of the top tunes of 2012, with their own Chicago house influenced dub, nodding in the direction of their much-blogged about remix of Switch’s “I Still Love You.”

Since the acquisition of some incredible support, including that of underground heavyweight, Mosca, MADHOUSE (a CHAMPION RECORDS offshoot) is pleased to announce a new signing in the form of Dutch Born, London raised, Issac Christopher. On this debut release, Issac emerges from the studio with new thumping bass lines to delight the madhouse ensemble with his exceptional productions.

The title track of the EP, “Shake That” hits with bass heavy and launches with a solid vocal. The deep overtones, accentuated synth and use of percussion throughout the track add to the feel good factor creating a body bumping track to make you do just as the track says.

The “Shake That” EP dropped exlusively on Traxsource today with a general release 28th May 2012.

Mr. Groove & Vergas have worked together since 1997. Nearly 15 years later, the duo is still on top form. For their latest they’ve joined forces with Inusa Dawuda, a world renowned Afro-funk artist known for his instrumental and vocal prowess. Out on CHAMPION RECORDS the single is set to occupy dancefloors with a remix package to follow.

The debut track off of the remix album comes from much hyped garage proudcer, Mike Delinquent Project, who adds a nice UK garage kick, plenty of wobble and a twisted beat that’s fully charged with future bass and throwback stabs from yesterday.

BLU MAR TEN is a trio of British lads who make the best liquid/smooth drum & bass in the world.

Sure, that’s the subjective statement, but who has the time to trawl twitter/blog/podcats for the best? There are other things you’d probably rather be doing, AMIRITE??

So just take me @ my word.

Over the past year , BLU MAR TEN has been posting mixes they found in their ‘vault’. They claim the mixes from ’92 to ’92 were recorded with a ‘mixer with no EQ’, but they all sound fine to me.

Here then, are two of my favorite ones. These mixes are so smooth, they even make the jungle tracks listenable, and that’s no easy feat, IMO :p
