I am happy to announce that my ‘Artwork’ got selected for exhibit in ‘State Art’ Exhibition 2012.

I submitted my entry (Artwork or Poster Design in that case) in ‘Applied Art’ category.

Subject of Poster Design Entry was based on social work done by ‘Mother Teresa’ in India.

Concept of Poster was evolved through ‘No Copy Ad’. Only Visual of Poster is so impact full that you wont need copy to read & explain.

I use iChat for two accounts of mine, one for GMail & another with Yahoo!

After some while using ichat I found that iChat annoys you with asking for your respective account password again & again… Even if you have stored the same password in keychain.

But I have found work around for this problem…

While holding the ‘Option’ button on keyboard go to Finder’s ‘Menu Bar’ click ‘Go’

You will see your library folder,

Delete Cache folder from that Library folder, then after rebooting clear Trash

Now, Use Disk Utility to Verify & Repair your Macintosh HD’s Disk Permissions…!!!

Your Problem with iChat will be solved…

Applications takes long time to open on Mac OSX 10.5, 10.6, 10.7 As HDD takes long time to wake up from sleep.

I have iMac & 2 External Hard Drives, one for Time Machine Backup which is powered by USB only but my 2nd External Hard drive takes lot of time to wake from sleep as it is powered by external electrical outlet & connected to mac by FireWire 800.

I found that opening any daily routine applications like iCal, Pages, Keynote or even saving file in Photoshop takes lot of time to finished the job…

So the solution is in Preferences’ Energy Saver Panel, Just unchecking the ‘Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible’ will prevent any hard drive attached to your mac going to sleep.

So Now, After unchecking the desired check box in Energy Saver Panel every applications opens more quickly & it smoothans the workflow on Mac…

As with iPhone & iPad… Apple & Yahoo! now give Yahoo! Mail with IMAP on Mac OSX Lion Desktop with Apple’s desktop mail client ‘Apple Mail 5.0’ & up…

Really It’s finally there where we don’t have to login to yahoo web mail through safari or firefox… Now Yahoo Mail is delivered to your desktop…

Before switching to Mac OSX Lion 10.7 & MAMP 2.0.2, I was using Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with MAMP 1.9.5

After Upgrading to Mac OSX Lion 10.7 & MAMP 2.0.1 or 2.0.2 Suddenly everything went wrong… Apache Server doesn’t start…

For almost last one month I was unable to update my website theme offline…

But when I check folder called ‘log’ inside MAMP’s folder under applications (/Applications/MAMP/logs)

I open up the the ‘apache_error.log’ Apache Log file & there was the reason on my iMac why MAMP’s Apache server was not running….

Error: [Date] [alert] (EAI 8)nodename nor servname provided, or not known: mod_unique_id: unable to find IPv4 address of “000-000-000-000.static.broadbandcompanyname”

So, Error was related to ‘IPv4′

Then I created new ‘Location’ inside ‘Network’ tab & made all services like Ethernet, FireWire, WiFi  Inactive & BOOM Apache Server started

(Make sure you have killed all services of MySQL through Terminal  or Activity Monitor before restarting Apache Server or just reboot your system)

So Problem Solved…

Here is Differant take on it:

Solution 02:

Open the httpd.conf file with a text editor (/Applications/MAMP/conf/apache/httpd.conf)

Search the following line:

LoadModule unique_id_module modules/mod_unique_id.so

& Change it to:

#LoadModule unique_id_module modules/mod_unique_id.so

i.e. Add ‘#’ before that line

So, Your Apache Server will start to run again normally…

Last saturday I saw a marathi Play called ‘Jaswandi’

Watching the play I got sense that this play is about expressing human love & sexuality as against to uncivilized domesticated animals like cats & dogs…

I felt Talking cats are like narrator or ‘Sutradhar’ of the play Jaswandi.

Sarika Nawathe is in the roll of Jaswandi. She has done good justice to the character of her play. I totally liked the play but I felt the ending of the play is quite disturbing… & you walk out of theater with the questions & unease in your mind about main characters of play…

But everybody should watch this play…!!! & It’s worth watching…!!!

I came around this Podcast by Apple Inc. about Meet The Filmmaker – John Lasseter.

This Podcast is film & host by Apple Inside their own Apple Store… They even have many more listed inside iTunes Store to view & download.

I totally liked this podcast as John Lasseter talks about his passion behind making Pixar film & how Pixar Functions & operates… He even talk about early day of Pixar as an Science Lab… He talk about how computer animation is originated through Science…

So really It’s Interesting to watch by all Computer Animators & even by Traditional Animators as originally John Lasseter is from Traditional Disney Animation Background & alumni of Disney’s own Animation School

For last few days I was experimenting with Task Management Progarams Called Producteev & Things for Mac.

I was amazed with design & simplicity of Things for Mac The Desktop Client for Mac Platform, It was easy to use & Look & feel was truly Mac only…

But ‘Things’ lacked the Sync feature between two Mac if you have any…

So I tried out ‘Producteev’ for Mac, It has web interface & Mac & Windows Desktop Client.

Producteev for Mac Desktop Client comparing to Mac was badly designed, It was unlike Mac User Interface & Specially Icons… Producteev Mac client once hanged & quit unexpectedly… So it disappointed me too much…!!!

Producteev had amazing feature called User Workspaces but it certainly disappointed me with it’s limitation that you have to add label to every workspace separately…

So I am thinking switching to ‘Things for Mac’ would be right decision… but ‘Producteev’ had Free & web Version & Things is paid one around 50 $…

So Choose…

I have just discovered the free Digital Drawing & Painting Apps directly from AppStore…

Autodesk SketchBook Express or Copic Edition is the Finding…!!!

Just Started Using it, Got really good results while using it doing freehand drawings with wacom tablet on iMac.

This AppStore thing is really great for discovering Apps like this under one category.

I will post results soon….!!! & Looking forward to it…!!!
