As a flagship city for this year's event, LA is creating multiple ways for people to get involved beyond simply turning their lights off for the appointed hour. One of these is the “Dine by Candlelight” program showcasing local restaurants who would like to support the initiative and the common cause of energy conservation. After the Salmonella scare from the peanut processing plant in Atlanta last month, the country's supply of peanut butter, especially for commercial use has all but vanished. Our supplier has estimated we should begin receiving product again within a week or so. We'll keep you posted.
