Do you watch "Be Careful With My Heart"? It's a morning tv show aired in the Philippines, from Mondays-Fridays. The theme of it is about the meeting of a cute, sweet, naughty girl with a strict, bad-tempered, rich boss.

I love how their chemistry hook me everytime I watch it after my work. And that led me to this conclusion...

What is the Formula?

The secret formula to make a tandem (love team) click is making their characters acting like this: a naughty girl and serious guy. This is the reason why the chemistry of Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz became a hit and caught the eyes of many. Their two previous movies topped the Philippine Box Office Movies (based on the movie revenues).

Filipinos are easily inclined to this kind of love story. Actually, it is also the same formula used by Koreans, Taiwanese and other Asian countries (we just adopt it). I remember before, how Filipinos became crazy over the Taiwanese group called F4. Fans were composed of children to old. And up to now, the feeling remains in my memory.

Bigyan mo ng pangalan o gamit ang lahat ng perang pumapasok sa iyo. Kasi kung unnamed sila, malaki ang chance na magastos mo lang kung saan-saan ang perang walang pangalan o purpose kaya ugaliing ilagay sila at bigyan ng kanya-kanyang trabaho.

Cut back on extras

Hindi naman na totally ihihinto ang paggastos sa mga extra o luho. Kung may malinaw na plano at kung saan-saan mapupunta ang iyong pera, ay hindi ka magi-guilty sa mga ginagastusan mo. Be mindful kumbaga at disiplinado sa paggasta.

Shed high-interest debt

Kung nakapag-swipe ka ng credit card mo, siguraduhin na mabayaran ang kabuuang utang bago o sa mismong araw ng due date nang sa ganun ay hindi na magka-penalty at tumubo pa ang iyong inutang. Bukod sa job, work o trabaho ay naghahanap pa ko ng extrang pagkakakitaan.

Hindi natin masasabi na stable ang ating trabaho sapagkat worldwide o globally na ang tanggalan o pagle-lay off ng mga employees. Magugulat at iiyak ka na lang kung sakaling isa ka sa kanila at hindi mo iyun napaghandaan.

Kaya kasalukuyan kong ginagawa ay nagtatabi at binubuo ko na ang Emergency Fund na katumbas ng 3 months ng expenses namin. Sa praktikal nga eh dapat atleast 6 months pero pasasaan ba at darating din tayo dun.

Sa ngayon, bukod sa natatanging work ko lang ang source of income ko, ay sinimulan ko ng mag-invest kahit noon pa sa Philippine Stock Market. Dati nag-iinvest lang ako sa mga kumpanyang gusto ko at alam kong di basta magsasara o malulugi pero ngayon nag-iba ako ng stratehiya.

Nag-iinvest na ko sa REITS para every 3 months or quarterly ay may makukuha akong cash dividends. Ayan ang isang paraan para kumita pa ko ng additional bukod sa aking trabaho.

Ang isa pa na bahagyang maliit at di talaga masasabing extra eh yung paglalaro ng games via ShopBack. Namiss kong kumain ng mais sapagkat madalas namin makita ng wife ko ang mais sa tuwing naggo-grocery kami.

Gusto ko sanang kumuha at bumili kaya lang sa tuwing maiisip ko ang proseso ng pagluluto ay napapaurong ako.

Why Is “Cancel” on the Left and “OK” on the Right in Android?

This post is the answer to my previous entry I wrote here.

Here’s another little tech thing that I’ve always found interesting.

Whenever an Android app shows a confirmation dialog, you’ll often see something like:

[ CANCEL ] [ OK ]

But if you’re used to using Windows, this arrangement can feel a little weird. I personally remember being more accustomed to seeing:

[ OK ] [ CANCEL ]

So naturally, I wondered: Why does Android do it differently?

After looking into it, I found out that Android doesn't really think of these buttons simply as “left” and “right” buttons.

Instead, Android gives buttons different roles. There are Positive, Negative, and Neutral actions.

In a typical confirmation dialog, OK is considered the Positive action because you're confirming or proceeding with something. Cancel is the Negative action because you're rejecting the action or backing out.

Android's standard design convention places the Negative action before the Positive action. And that's how we end up with:

Cancel → OK

So, Android isn't necessarily saying, “Cancel should always be on the left.” It's more like saying, “This is the Cancel action, this is the OK action, and here's how our standard interface arranges them.”

Of course, different Android versions, manufacturers, and apps can sometimes arrange their buttons differently. Developers can also create completely custom dialogs.

Still, I found this interesting because it's one of those tiny differences between platforms that you don't really think about until you notice it.

Maybe I'm just easily amused by little UI details—but now whenever I see Cancel on the left and OK on the right, I'll know there's actually a reason behind it! 😄

Ang dami sa Facebook na ads na nagpapakita ng promo sa ganito sa ganyan lalong lalo na sa beauty treatment like facial or hair. Maeengganyo ka na mag-avail at pumunta tapos pag andun ka na, ang serbisyong ibibigay sayo hindi kaparehas nung serbisyo pag regular rate. Nakakatawa at nakakatakot kasi habang ginagawa pa lang ang serbisyo, bigla ka nang ino-offeran ng sobrang mahal na package. Sasabihin na discounted pa pero wag ka 12 months or 1 year na facial or treatment, tumataginting na lagpas 100k+ in pesos.

Natuto na kami at napasubo dun sa isang facial salon sa may Makati. Nadenggoy kami at ngayon nagbabayad ng monthly amortization na 10k+. Kaya pag may nakita ulit kami at gusto lang namin masubukan eh ginagrab pa rin namin pero pag yung offer part na eh mariin naming sinasabi na pag iisipan pa.

Never again na sa mga ganitong scheme. May time pa nga na na-offer-an pa kami ng products na pagkamahal-mahal. Lesson learned na lang at charge to experience. Magagamit pa rin naman namin yung mga products at yung services na na-avail namin. May walong buwan pa kami para bayaran sa bangko yung na-avail namin, chinarge ko kasi sa credit card ko at bayad na straight sa kanila yung presyo.

I decided to check it out since I keep receiving emails from them. Honestly, I don’t even remember why—maybe I created an account there a long time ago.

I searched online to see what Tumblr is all about and found that it’s a popular microblogging and social networking platform. It lets users create, share, and reblog multimedia content—photos, videos, GIFs, and text—on a customizable, short-form blog.

The idea of reblogging caught my attention. Imagine your posts getting popular when others reblog or share them with their friends or followers. Who knows, your content might even go viral!

Dati nacurious ako ano bang meron sa Instagram kasi bukambibig at nababasa ko online. Nalaman ko na para pala ito sa mga taong mahilig magpicture at magcapture ng videos tapos pwedeng i-upload at maview ng ibang tao.

Gumawa ako ng account dati pero until now eh bihira or once in a blue moon ko lang ata yun naopen. Patok eto sa mga Gen Z at Millenials.
